Gold Rush Man

Miss Hilton is a fragrance genius. Paris Hilton "Man" in the blue bottle is one of the best men's fragrances I've ever smelled and quite unique to add. I had high hopes for this one (with good reason) and was not let down in any way. Okay well...at first I was. At first sniff it will remind you a lot of Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male mixed with Paco Rabanne One Million. We've all come across a million of those by now...no pun intended lol. At first sniff...this smells like one of those "I've-smelled-this-ten-times-before" fragrances. But now I've given it 3 proper wears and I see now that you've got to give this one about an hour or so to really blossom and get into character. After about an hour the lavender/vanilla/caradamom combo really emerges into this beautiful masculine mildly, warm spicy soap smell and it is TO DIE FOR! Also to note...the performance is AMAZING! Short story...I work in a dental office...and my second wear of this fragrance, I sprayed it on at 8:00 in the morning, did NO touch ups throughout the day...and the last patient of the day at 5:45PM...over NINE hours later...checked in with me at the front desk and said "May I ask you a question?" And I said of course. She hands me a sticky note and says "Please write down the name of the perfume you are wearing...I want to get it for my husband." I was stunned as I thought it had already tapered off into nothing. And mind you, she was standing about 3 feet away from me on the other side of my sliding glass window. Scent Itself - 9/10 Lonvevity - About 8-9 hours with only 5-6 sprays. Spray your neck twice and each arm 1-2 times and it lasts ALL day. Sillage - 4 feet or so. Overall Score - 9/10 Paris Hilton may be called all kinds of names in the media. But her fragrance empire is something I highly respect her for and her fragrances (most of them anyway) I absolutely love. This one is no exception. Amazing job to Paris Hilton, the perfumer(s) involved, and Parlux for this amazing release. I love it and will tell everyone I know to buy it. Two big thumbs up.

First off I'd like to say that I own both 1 Million and Coach Platinum, and this is not identical to either of them. It definitely leans much more toward the 1 Million side than the Coach Platinum though, but it's not really that close to it either. If you can imagine taking 1 Million and toning down the citrus in the opening, adding a REALLY NICE Lavender note in the mid, and swapping out the leather in the base for vanilla then you will have Gold Rush. I love loud and sweet fragrances and this doesn't disappoint. Adding the beautiful Lavender note to this really made it different from anything else that I have smelled that is on the market now. It adds such a nice fougere feel to this fragrance. The oriental fougere description doesn't quite describe this to me. I would say that it's a gourmand oriental fougere. The vanilla is so sweet, yet when you add the powderiness of the Tonka Bean and the fougere quality of the Lavender it just makes such a pleasurable scent that you can't stop smelling your hand/wrist. And I haven't even mentioned how amazing of a deal this stuff is. Simply put, this is DEFINITELY the best fragrance that I have ever purchased for under $30!!! With Banana Republic's Cypress and Cedar coming in a pretty close second. And I even paid less than $20 for them both. Grabbed both of them from Burlington for $19.99. So, if you see this stuff for under $30 anywhere, don't hesitate to grab it. You won't be disappointed. Edit: I wore this early this morning and then later I was in the mood for Allure H'omme Sport Eau Extreme' and I was blown away by how similar they are!!! If there is any fragrance out there that this smells like it is definitely that one. This one is a little more sweet while the Chanel is more aromatic and definitely higher quality. Also, Gold Rush doesn't have the best performance, even though AHSEE doesn't have great performance this one is even less strong. When it comes to longevity that is. 65⁄6

"Bruno killed Paris" this falls on the same topic about BDC to SAUVAGE or EROS EDT to EROS FLAME. I smell the resemblance of PH goldrush to Coach Plat and having both of them might be redundant. although there are slight differences, Coach Plat stands out in performance being more "loud" in sillage and projection while PHGoldrush shy's away to being moderate and more refined to my skin (both have similar longevity 5-6hours on skin). The mandarin orange note is faint but detectable even at the heart., while coach plat's pineapple screams until the end. If you like coach platinum but looking for a more refined vanilla amber mid note accord that isnt too loud., check this out. On its own PH gold rush is its own fragrance and I love to have it in my shelf. (got this as a gift., and ill be skipping coach plat) Thanks bro UPDATE: I have to agree to a comment i found here below. comparing this to coach plat is an insult. I was about to turn my way towards coach plat but after several wearings the vanilla-amber-tonka of ph goldrush is waaayy more smoother! i find the drydown of coach plat to go past the borderline of being off putting and its too strong for a date night scent. im happy and suprised on how this performs.

Obviously being a Paris Hilton fragrance, my hopes were really up. It was her first men's fragrance in years and I love her original men's one. Got my bottle and have been using it for 2 weeks now. Is it worth the wait? Yes. Her fragrances are on the high-end of celebrity fragrancea. They smell really good and have great lasting power. This one is a sexy fragrance more suitable for a night out. It is sweet but it isn't anywhere near as sweet as 1 Million. It reminds me of a more "fresh" 212 VIP. The scent is like a sweet, clean vanilla with a masculine undertone. Lasts about 6-8 hours and it is noticable. I really hope Paris Hilton keeps up the good work on her fragrances and that she makes a spinoff of this amazing, rich, and sexy fragrance. Thumbs up!

No lie I actually had to stop wearing this for a while due to being bombarded with people asking me"what perfume is that". Once I went to pick up my food order and I could tell something was up with the cashiers assisting me but I paid no attention only having to go back due to me forgetting to grab drinks, the one cashier mustered the courage and asked me "we really want to know what cologne you using".the lady behind me concurred and started googling the fragrance .... I could go on and on and on. Listen..... For the price the quality is superb. I will most surely buy this till they stop making this. Occasions are office, date night, evening, or any occasion which calls for something subtle. Get this.

If you don't have many vanilla type fragrances in your collection, this is a great cheap option. I wish the citrus opening stuck around longer than 2 minutes, but the vanilla stays with you all fucking day. Seriously, if you spray this somewhat heavy, it will take a couple showers for it to finally come off, so when you choose to wear this, it's probably best just to stick with this scent for the week, day and night. The longest lasting cheap fragrance I've come across so far. If you find it under 15 bucks, pull the trigger. Just be prepared to get a nice scrub in before switching to a different fragrance.

Paris Hilton has blown me away with almost every single one of her fragrances. This is available for order on Ebay (and ALREADY very fairly priced) and I just ordered mine!! :) Will write a proper review when it arrives and I've given it a good fair wear :) I can't wait. I'm sure it'll be amazing. Paris Hilton Man (blue bottle) is one of my TOP complimented scents in my 200+ bottle collection. No exaggeration. She's a fragrance genius when it comes to what she puts her name on.

I originally bought this because I had fond memories of the original Paris Hilton For Men and also because of the attractive price point, $29.99 for 100ml here in Australia. After wearing this for only 1 day the amount of compliments was astounding, work colleagues, a lady at subway and then a lady sitting next to me on the bus, all in 1 day. I was very happy with all those compliments, at first I couldn't smell it on myself but everyone else could so yay for that.

This exceeds my expectations for any celebrity fragrance! The price and longevity are amazing. This performs 10x better than some of my more expensive fragrances. The scent is nice and lingers on the clothes and skin for hours. I get like a peppery note at one point that I don’t really enjoy, but it doesn’t last the entire time. It’s a mixture of fresh and warm for a fragrance. I can see this for any age group also!

this can be unisex. my wife wore this last night and this projects smoothly on the drydown even after the morning. amazing budget fragrance. reminds me of PR1M lucky. not one to one but in the same vein. Guess i wont bother to wear this cause it works better on her skin. definitely a staple on her collection now.

This one is really good. Basic but that doesn’t really mean it’s bad. definitely a crowd pleaser. I think this fragrance does not smell like coach platinum or one million, but it’s around the same ballpark. For the price I think this one is the best of the 3! Super great cheapie, smells expensive

If you like sweet vanilla and amber fragrances this is a safe and worthy buy. Can't expect superior quality for the price but the scent overall is sexy. Lasts over 8hrs and projects about 2 hours. For the prices it's worth it. Simply put Date night scent on a budget.

Wow this stuff is awesome. Nice surprise. Bought a couple of her perfumes base don commenst here. This one rocks. Like a less cloying 212 vip black...and at this price spray away! Nicer than halloween man IMO

Sweet masculine vanilla. It honestly reminds me of the mall when you pass by the candy shop mixed with Cinnabon. 10/10 for me. (Reminds me of Paco Rabanne Phantom)

Yet another Paco Robanne One Million clone, what can you expect?

Goodness gracious...I did NOT expect this!!! I mean, I saw the reviews...watched the youtube videos...and looked at the fragrance notes...and they still don't give a real indicator of the high quality of this fragrance....Jesus!! Look...I paid $16 for this last tester of "Gold Rush Man" sitting in a warehouse up in Hackensack and it arrived today. When I first sprayed it, I got hit with this AMAZING smooth blast of florals with a slight hint of vanilla waaaaaaaaaay in the background. And I thought, "what the hell...they all said this was a vanilla beastmode fragrance!? All I smell is nice flowers...". But I didn't sweat it...I sprayed 4 more times between my neck and chest, got dressed and headed out the door to go pick up breakfast. On the drive to the restaurant...I had the window cracked and it was like someone had the finest floral air fresheners from one of those posh Manhattan flower shops cracked open in my truck! The smell coming off this fragrance...coming out of my shirt and off my skin was ABSOLUTELY DELIGHTFUL!! The whole way to the restaurant I was just breathing in deeply and relishing the magnificent bubble of Geranium-Lavender-Sage heavenliness. So I make it to the restaurant and park the truck and check my email before heading in to pick up my order. I'm looking down at my phone and all of a sudden I smell this warm vanilla...creamy vanilla like friggin melted Paula Deen ice cream! So I look up and look around to see if someone walked past my truck and I'm smelling their fragrance or if there's something that could be making this amazingly sweet and luscious vanilla smell I'm smelling....but there's no one around me but parked cars with the windows up and closed! So then I realized....IT'S ME!!! I'm freaking out and puffing up my shirt and letting the air come out the neck so I can smell it...IT IS ME!!! OMG!!!! Yooooooo...THIS...FRIGGIN...FRAGRANCE!!!! Act two of this frag is like a VANILLA ICE CREAM BOMB!!! You can still smell the florals in the background and the lavender and geranium really still shine! I can't say that I know what Sage smells like but if it's in there...you can smell it. So I get out the truck and start walking towards the restaurant and the wind picks up from behind me and I can smell my scent bubble! I'm on the air!! I know everyone in front of the restaurant had to smell me coming and I expected heads to turn and as soon as I got within 10 feet of the restaurant.....they did! I got two compliments from a few older ladies as I approached the door and gave a quiet thank you to them both. Nothing else after that, but I know that this frag had to have been radiating like a mofo when I went inside to pick up my order...lol. It's now 3 hours later and the vanilla is going as strong as it did when I first pulled into the parking lot. This is amazing...simply amazing for $16. I'm ordering another bottle TONIGHT! I really expected this to fall second to my "Mandarina Duck - Black" but this one is TOP TIER!! This fragrance is more of a juicy sweet Floral-Vanilla where my "MD-B" is a dry formal Citrus-Vanilla. I'll wear "PH-GRM" for hanging out and weekends and keep "MD-B" as my work frag. Goodness gracious...this fragrance is friggin unbelievable. I absolutely cannot believe that this came from Paris Hilton... I, literally, have not EVER in my life smelled a better "Vanilla" fragrance! EDIT: Okay, 4 hours later and it's a skin scent...or maybe I can't smell it anymore. I guess I'll have to carry a decant around with me for full-days-out with this one, even overspraying it...it has a short lifespan. (Wife says she can smell it lightly when we hug after ~4 hours) Given all the many positives, I'll take this one small negative happily.

I'm thrilled that I finally got a bottle of this! It's a great fragrance, albeit somewhat unoriginal. That being said though, it's definitely worth picking up. It's interesting to note that it contrasts a bit from its female counterpart. The female Gold Rush is more bright and citrusy, while this version is more cool and herbal. I think the bottle is a great representation of the scent - well-dressed in dark hues. So, I'll get into the details below. First, the scent: Of the notes listed, I think that the most prominent are lavender, cardamom, geranium, sage, and vanilla in that order. It starts off with the cool spicy combo of the lavender and cardamom, before fading into the geranium and sage, and closing out with a vanilla-wood combo. The shifts in notes though, I would say, are subtle. This isn't one that's going to take you on an wild aromatic journey, but rather one that rides its notes seamlessly in a well-blended manner through the end. It's a very pleasant fragrance, but as I mentioned earlier though, I don't think it's very unique. I'm sure it'll get a compliment or two though as this is a celebrity scent, and those are typically aimed to please the masses. Second, the sillage: This is of moderate sillage, I'd say upon first spray it will radiate in arms length, but it's definitely not a bomb by any means. Certainly safe to wear to the office or to school. Third, the longevity: I've worn this about 5 times now, and I'd say that it has varied on me. With about 4-5 sprays, I can get it to last on me anywhere between 6-8 hours on average - and fragrance in general doesn't tend to last a long time on me. So for that, I'd say it's great! All-in-all, I'd definitely recommend it. It's so great to see Paris Hilton making men's scents again, and I hope she continues on this route! Here's to hoping as well that a gift set of this comes out, because I'd be down to pick that up too.

That’s hot... For no good reason should this $20 cheapie be this good... I love finds like this. Creamy citrus, tonka and vanilla. The cardamom, lavender and geranium are also here to freshen it up a bit and give it a nice culinary vibe and that ever so present coffee accord found in many modern men’s fragrances makes an appearance, which I’m ok with, I’ma basic bish like that... So yeah, if you like or are interested in scents like Mandarina Duck Black Extreme, Xerjoff Uden, Eros Flame, Coach Platinum, Chanel Allure Homme/Sport Eau Extreme/Edition Blanche, La Nuit De L’Homme, Ultra Male, Armani Code Absolu, Guess Seductive Noir, and I suppose 1 Million, then this is right up your alley. This is surprisingly pretty well made and has solid performance. Of course it’s not the highest quality, I mean cmon lol but it’s fun to wear and compliment pulling, people enjoy it. I will say, it does not come off cheap, if you look at my collection you’ll see many high quality options and this is one I reach for and not ashamed to wear in public. In fact it’s a good conversation starter to say you’re rocking a Paris Hilton fragrance, it also says you’re fun and don’t take yourself too seriously. So if you see this out in the wild or need to reach that free shipping, grab it, there are a lot worse scents out there... All in all, this is an easy reach, mass appealing fragrance. It’s very inoffensive, great for casual wear, work, or date night. Taking into consideration price value, quality, smell, etc. this is a gem. 10/10 😆 Chyeaaaa...

Paris Hilton Gold Rush Men is my first experience with the Paris Hilton fragrance line. I personally don't like her so I wasn't willing to lay down money for her fragrances. I won this from a ChicagoTonyT game and have worn it a few times and I think it is pretty nice but familiar to a number of scents. Gold Rush Men opens with a very Versace Eros/Halloween Man Shot open. The only thing missing for Eros is the mint. It then goes into a soapy 1 Million direction from the lavender mixing with the citrus open and the sweet vanilla, amber and tonka base. Performance is pretty good it will project for a good hour and a half to two hours with wiffs of it coming through the next eight hours. This will last a work day for sure. Usage is pretty versatile. I can see this working for dates, clubs, work and casual settings, just know you will likely get you smell like that Eros or 1 Million comments. I can see this working Fall to spring and maybe summer nights. Paris Hilton Gold Rush Men is a great introduction to the brand of the heiress. I think it is good but not a great scent. Halloween Man Shot is a better option at a similar price point IMHO. Overall I rate Gold Rush Men a 7.5 out 10.

First initial review --- So this fragrance didn't blow me away but I do have to say this is a damn good fragrance ! In different phases of this scent it reminds me of 3 different fragrances and because of that this loses some points for uniqueness. The opening is pretty much a more subtle version of one million but with more vanilla in the background. In the heart the bergamot,vanilla and cardomom come into play and this isn't in the note breakdown but I get a berry like note that kind of smells like cranberry which of course makes me think of Polo Red. In the drydown you get a powdery,vanilla drydown that in this stage smells almost identical to Mandarina Duck Black but less peppery. Performance has been good ! It lasted 6 hours with above average projection for pretty much the duration of the fragrance. Overall rating--- 7.5 out of 10 ! Very unoriginal in forms of smelling like other frags but I did enjoy the scent development and my gf complimented on me today after the first day of wearing it. If you like scents like Versace Eros,Polo Red,1 million,Mandarina Duck Black,Invictus, Givenchy play id say give this a shot as its actually really good and well blended !

Gold Rush Man is a synth-y but well blended fougere with a pinch of spice and a cup of sugar. It opens with airy zest and gentle spice, with the zest quickly giving way to a barbershop accord led by lavender. The scent begins to warm and sweeten after half an hour, leading to a dry down dominated by vanillin/coumarin sugariness, some ambroxan and vague woods. Performance is OK. The zest up top is very short lived - not a bad thing as it is not particularly good citrus - but the transition between barbershop & the sweet dry down is smooth and likeable. About 1.5 hours of useful scent before receding to the skin, where it hangs around for longer. Overall, a likeable, appealing, inoffensive scent which is as good as many designer perfumes which are tuned for mass appeal. The notes lack definition, and the overall smell is fairly simplistic, but given the price these are easily forgiven. The sweetness is not overwhelming, and as a mossless fougere without heavy notes, Gold Rush Man will be young but very versatile - for both work and play. A decent celebrity scent!

Gold Rush Man is an excellent buy. Get this. The top note gives me that distinctive Armani Code Profumo with the cola vibe. Beautifully done, seductive and dark somewhat, but it gets juicy within a few minutes that reminds me of the playful Paco Rabanne One Million. I get the top note well; vanilla, amber, tonka bean. There's also lavender, but that Armani cola vibe hangs in there. For the price, I'm amazed that Hilton can make this beautiful fragrance so inexpensive, not cheap, but inexpensive. Kudos to Ms. Hilton. I heard Hilton Man is very good so I ordered that too and Just Me is far better lasting that current Aqua Di Gio. It just goes to show us that quality can be made and marketed inexpensively and Paris Hilton knows this and is making a boat load of money for it. Too bad that other perfumers haven't caught on yet...👏👏👏

Weird but in a good way, Paris Hilton Gold rush man smells like 3 fragrances in 1 bottle. I get reminisces and the DNA of a toned-down versions of coach platinum, Armani code Profumo, and Paco Rabanne 1 Million. I get the hype now and with a price point of $16, this is easily a great blind buy-worthy fragrance that’s almost costing nothing. You can spray this on heavily it won’t get cloying and this could be a signature date night fragrance and it'll perform great in the cold. Sure it’s synthetic as hell but the fragrance is a hidden gem and no one talks about it. This is a steal only at $16 and women love this fragrance on me and I’m sure you’ll get compliments too. Don’t let the name fool you I was skeptical as well I don’t gravitate towards celebrity fragrance although I might add some are hidden gems like gold rush man.

This does bear a resemblance to Guess Homme noir maybe 70 to 75% similar. The Guess has a nice bright green apple this one has more vanilla. The opening in this one is wonderful smooth vanilla, hint of citrus well done. The dry down gets a bit more synthetic, the notes kind of get mashed together, the vanilla seems to be the main player, not quite creamy but heavy. That being said it is okay especially for the price, however if you're looking for this kind of fall night time fragrance I would recommend Guess Homme noir. To me it is much better blended. The performance on this is slightly above average. If you do want a good summertime scent Paris Hilton for him is fantastic it is pretty youthful though.

Off tops, Parlux offers this hard to find thing called "value", and I respect what they put on shelves. No difference here, and since we're entering serious shopping season for cooler weather fragrances, just wanted to join the "strong like" club for GRM and recommend it as an entry-level stocking stuffer for guys of all ages. It's a nice product, fresh at the top, settling to a deeper warmth, with no extremes in between. The DNA has already been discussed below, it's pleasant - if not groundbreaking - to many of today's noses, period. I got a HUGE gift set at Marshall's for 10 bucks(it was clearance, though)...10. Fall, Winter, early Spring, in or outside. Keep it in mind!

Got a free sample when I bought a bottle of Aqua Fahrenheit from Perfumania. The top notes have a slight hint of the citruses the manufacturers claim this fragrance to have, but the top notes dissipate in about 30 seconds on skin. This fragrance turns into nothing more than a slightly cheaper smelling knockoff of Versace Eros and stays that way, which isn't a problem at all for me given that I'm a huge fan of Eros and am young enough to pull it off in the right situations. I just wonder if the world really needs a budget version of Eros; I got a gigantic 6.7 oz bottle of the Versace for $60 on Amazon Prime around a year ago, and I bet it's even cheaper now

This smells like Armani Code Profumo if you toned it waaaaaaay down, it was a tad less refined, and made it a signature scent instead of a Fall/Winder Night scent. It's so pleasant and lovely. I will definitely use the whole bottle and then some. I picked up a 100 ml. for $17. What an absolute steal! :D Update: The dry down is wonderful as well. It dries down and becomes quite clean and soapy from the lavender and vanilla. It's such a pleasant fragrance. You can go between 10 to 15 sprays with this and it still won't offend anyone. I think the only downside is that it has piss-poor performance at times, but don't let that stop you.

Saw this online and felt like sharing since the notes aren't very clear here. According to Among the Stars Perfume Reviews on Youtube, who received a bottle of this fragrance early for promotional purposes, the notes of this fragrance are as follows... TOP: Exotic Bergamot, Juicy Mandarin, Spicy Cardamom MIDDLE: Aromatic lavender, Warm Sage, Geranium BASE: Smoky Tonka Wood, Luminous Amber, Creamy Vanilla According to his review, it's coming out in the spring. I can't believe I'm going to have to wait that long!!

Wearing this a lot this week, so glad I pulled it out from just sitting on the frag shelf. Its actually a GREAT base-layer for something spicy on top like "The Blazing Mr Sam" or "Joop Homme:Wild". The warm sweetness of the Cardamom and Vanilla, The freshness of the Geranium and Lavender combined with a spicy-tobacco yields a fragrant melange of scent tones that makes me feel amazing! And the combination lasts all day! For this fragrance being such a cheapie and so powerful, it's truly a hidden gem.

Great pickup as everyone can't afford Dior Chanel etc... All season scent as it is on the lighter side even with heavy notes of tonka vanilla and amber. As mentioned it's not cloying as it has no ambroxan. The only situation in which this won't work is for clubs. Good for class,casual,office and date wear particularly for guys under 30 that are newer to fragrances and have nothing against Paris Hilton as she is irrelevant now.

Yeah it’s alright. Find myself reaching for this one for a week straight and then putting it down for months. Definitely a good scent for the price point. A little too sweet and synthetic for my taste but still not overpowering. If you like the notes then give it a try, you probably won’t regret it. 5.5/10

Opens with nice citruses that last for a couple minutes then starts to pick up the vanilla lavender and tonka. Really good for night outs I would overspray because of not so good longevity but be careful because it can be strong

Kind of reminds me a Code Absolu. It’s a fun $19 fragrance that smells like a really nice mid-range designer, but with performance expected at its price point. To me that’s a good compromise. 100% curiosity-buy worthy.

good cheapie a every occasion scent very safe and a surprisingly good for a celebrity fragrance can be found for 20 bucks or less reminds me of Coach for men with better performance making it a PLUS

Alright for the price but very similar to others, sweet on the top, woodsy floral on the middle and very vanillaey on the dry down. after a while it kind of smells Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male to me.

It’s not bad at all, great scent. Perfect for winter or fall. I got this for $15 so I’m not complaining. I’d suggest spraying minimal because too much causes a headache lol Overall worth it

It's nice, lots of vanilla and lavender. The lavender can turn a bit barbershop-like on me in warmer weather but when cool it's cozy, sexy and sweet. I have nostalgic associations so I keep it around but I don't wear it much as it's a bit heavy. Lasts well (6-8hrs) and projects very well too, super cheap and the bottle is cute. Let's keep it real Gents It smells cheap. Wouldn't put it on my body but I would definitely spray my car with this scent. So it's not bad especially for the price but you can still find better at this price range. I purchased a couple years ago and still have it because of comparisons to mandarina duck black and Prada sport. It's Tony's little cousin Anthony. 5/10 because it's backup car spray.

I was ecstatic to see the Paris Hilton brand release another men's fragrance, because I really enjoy all of the PH brand's previous men's fragrances. The first release, Paris Hilton for Men, is my number one complimented fragrance of all time. I have so many memories attached to the first fragrance that I will never be without a bottle of it. Crisp, sweet, and aptly fruity! It's the reason why I became interested in this fragrance hobby. In more recent years, Paris Hilton (the person) has rebranded herself from a hard partying socialite to a business woman. This change shows in her brand's more recent fragrance releases for women - Gold Rush and With Love. Both of these recent releases are regarded as "more mature" than the PH brand's previous hyperfruity and hypersweet fragrances. To keep up with this image, she and her brand have released a new men's fragrance. Once available, I immediately purchased the gift set off Perfumania for $65 in hopes of having a new summer signature fragrance and obtain new scent memories. ON TO THE REVIEW: Gold Rush for Men, from the atomizer alone, smells like Paco Rabanne's 1 Million. On the initial spray, the gaseous sweetness that pervades 1 Million (and its clones) arrives with soapy florals with undertones of vanilla. The opening is reminds me of the Zebra Fruit Stripe chewing gum with soapy nuances. This opening of gaseous sweetness, soapy florals, and vanilla last for an hour or two. Then the gaseous sweetness and soapy florals bow out and we are left with a creamy vanilla and soft woods. Not bad, but nothing like her first release - PH for Men, Just Me for Men (an ADG clone with spicy and earthy tones), and Heir (cotton candy sweetness with lemon and leather). This is definitely the most mature of three of her fragrances, but anyone at any age can wear this (even women due to its vanillic and gaseous sweetness).

I enjoy Paris Hilton Gold Rush for Men. Also I like (have) Heir, and regular Gold Rush. This whole business of 'for what it is ' or 'for the price' is not for me. Just get what smells great and forget the price. Do not let price diminish expectation. Gold Rush for men is from 2017. It is made with a bolder, more gutsy approach. As for reviews of synthetic well-- I love synthetics. You can do things with them that you cannot do with all natural. If you want to confine yourself to musk to make it last long---well OK. Long before Molecule 01 & 02, there were delightful synthetics. For example, Lavender etc. Lavender is just plain hard to do natural. Some good natural out there but you really have to look for it. Synthetic can emulate things like ambergris and maybe not a copy but just delightful. Some people just hate platinum wigs, strawberry lip gloss, and radical makeup. It is so important to enjoy this fragrance interest and be carefree and joyful. All Paris Hilton projects are assembled by top experts and ultimately signed off by Paris Hilton. Yep. You can tell I am a Paris Hilton fanboy. 'For What is is' and just be 'who you are'. Fun Time! The price is great on this and the fragrance is actually quite elegant yet playful. You can pick this up and just enjoy it 'care-free'.

Non-sickening, more aromatic, more elegant, creamy tonka version of One Million. No bakery ambroxan sickness that makes me heave the moment I pass modern perfume sections. This is how you do a 'gourmand!'. Light in character yet long lasting with the synthetic makeup, overall linear but the scent quality is excellent for the price. Not a club scent and more so a beginners date night fragrance. Minimal 6 hours which is all you need from this type of fragrance. You cannot go wrong with a Paris Hilton fragrance - the 2002 Paris Hilton for me in still in top 5 after owning hundreds of colognes from 1970s- present. Its sort of made how I would imagine they would have made the 1 million DNA back in the late 80s early 90s - more aromatic, elegant, masculine. Exiting the 80s oakmoss era and into the 90s sparkle era. And lastly that BOTTLE. Have you ever seen a more striking cologne bottle? I haven't! Literally a sexy dark gold and black gradient twin tower. Even the corners are edged off like the original towers. Unlikely you'll see this bottle style anywhere else but this release - people too caught up in the morbidity of 2001 to appreciate the beauty.

This was a blind buy. Grapey Cool Watery sweet fabric softener smell at first that dries down to soapy lavender vanilla. In the drydown I was reminded slightly of fcuk by French Connection. However this is not dizzying and doesn't make me puke like fcuk. I never tested One Million live i only smelled it in a magazine and Gold Rush lacks the Bubble gum spices note in One Milllion. Its that smell of opening up a magazine with all the fragrance samples coming at you at once all combined to create THAT one generic smell' type of scent. Or the smell of being at a fragrance counter smelling a bunch of sweet winter scents then forgetting which was which til they all smell similar. I detect in the drydown a faint trace of coconut which is my absolute favorite part. The bottle design is actually way more amazing in person so chic and suave. I havent seen a bottle this elegant at such a low price since Ferragamo Subtil. I wouldn't repurchase it as I feel like its not my style plus smells like other cologne. but I will wear this and appreciate having it. Also dont pay full price. I paid $20 for a 3.4oz.
