Ruby Rush

Just by seeing the Cherry & Whipped Cream, I knew this couldn't fail. But I had no idea how remarkable this scent would be. In the opening, I'm met with a bold, sweet, and mildly tart Cherry. There's a sparkly liquor accord that slightly remind me of Lost Cherry by Tom Ford, but it quickly fades, and the Whipped Cream and Vanilla blossoms, shifting the gears of this fragrance and triggering memories of one of my favorite KKW scents, Kimoji Cherry. They both share prominent notes of Cherry, Whipped Cream, and Vanilla. But Ruby Rush is lighter and more airy; something that can suit warm weather, while Kimoji Cherry is more warmer and more suitable for the colder days. They're not identical, but they do share a lot of similarities. As this settles on my skin, the Cherry calms and brings itself to the level of the Whipped Cream and Vanilla, while still renaming prominent enough to outshine the florals in this composition. As much as I would've loved to smell Dahlia, Hibiscus and Water Lily, the Creamy Cherry & Vanilla combo were doing just fine on their own. Ruby Rush gave me a very decent performance. I got 5 and a half hours of longevity on my skin with a strong sillage that was still giving me whiffs of creamy Cherry up until the 5th hour before it faded. But it lasted 8+ hours on my shirt. For the $70 price tag, I cannot complain. Is this a fragrance worth $70?? You would have to be the judge of that. But if you're a fan of Kimoji Cherry or always wanted to try it, Ruby Rush is definitely a good substitute. If you love Cherry scents in general, Ruby Rush would make a nice addition to your collection. Scent: 10/10 Packaging: 10/10 Performance: 7/10

I bought this to compare it to my almost empty cherry in the air by Escada, hoping it could act as a replacement. Compared to cherry in the air, ruby rush is super powdery. Cherry in the air is a lot more sour and has a fresh squeezed juiciness to it. With ruby rush, on me at least, the florals and powder (assuming the musk?) dominate the first impression of each sniff, whereas the cherry and cream notes lie more in the background, giving it a grounded base. It is not as cherry forward as I had hoped, based on the hype around it. I actually get a lot more of the raspberry bloom note compared to the cherry personally. In the dry down, the sandalwood comes out to play, but it does not deepen the scent much. I reckon that's due to the waterlily cutting through it and adding an aquatic element, though this perfume certainly cannot be labelled an aquatic, so do not worry if you aren't into those! I can see why people say it smells like kids shampoo, but I don't fully agree. Ruby rush isn't the most unique perfume, sure, but I don't know if I can call it generic with the level of powderiness it gives off. I associate kids shampoo with being more floral fruity but devoid of powder. I think ruby rush would great for every day wear where you just want to smell nice without standing out too much, and is a pretty safe blind buy considering the price, as long as you aren't too hooked on the hyped idea of it being a very creamy cherry, and are into powdery scents! The projection is somewhat close to the skin, and the longevity about 3-4 hours, but with a 100ml bottle at this price point, I don't mind having to both overspray and then respray later!

You know those scented Strawberry shortcake dolls ? In the drydown I get something like that but with a light cherry undertone. It opens as a flowery, slightly cherry-esque shampoo,and it remains shampoo like for the first 3-4 hours. It starts out like a pretty, clean, easy reach fragrance, but nothing special. But if you give it a fair shot, that is when the magic happens ! The florals die down, and a sweet, delicious creamyness emerges. Whipped cream with vanilla, mixed with a little bit of cherry. Less sillage at this point if you only spray on skin, but if I spray my clothes I do keep getting delicious whiffs throughout the whole day. I hate the bottle, but I must say this doesn't smell cheap at all, nor too juvenile. And although the first few hours it's just Ok and nothing too special, the drydown is worth the wait. The more I wear it, the more I like it ! And out of the hundreds of perfumes I own, I have nothing that smells quite like this. Not a true gourmand but still a beautifully sweet and cozy scent. Not a very prominent cherry here though. If you're looking for a very-cherry cheapie option I would recommend Guess seductive red. That one smells like delicious cherry candy from start to finish. 🍒 Longevity is around 6+ hours with moderate sillage,but sprayed on clothes it lasts well into the next day. Overall, a very nice fragrance with good performance for a ridiculous low price. 👍

My mum came into my room slightly tipsy to have a conversation with me until she was distracted by my huge perfume collection. Noting she knew I had perfume but not this much lol. This was followed by a conversation about perfume as she tested various bottles in my collection. She then notes how she smelt something really good at on me just recently. I'm fairly certain it was this fragrance. We both shared a mutual joy for it. This is coming from someone who has a polar opposite taste from me (she's very Gucci Flora/D&G Dolce and im Mugler Alien/Lolita Lempicka). This is how you do a cherry fragrance! I feel sorry for anyone who can't detect the cherry because it's definitely there. Its softened by the whipped cream & florals, ultimately drying to a musky cherry base. Although the lasting power would be the only thing stopping me from giving this top marks. I would rank this as her best from the Rush line with Gold rush coming a close second, or even tied. I paid $50 AUD through fragrancenet as it isn't available in Australia yet. In closing, it was genuinely nice that I was able to have a flowing conversation with my mum as it's something that doesn't happen too often, especially through something like perfume! Rank: B+

I’m not into Celeb scents, but this one is a rarity. I also do not like cherry scents as most of them smell like cough syrup. Yes, even the well know over hyped ones. This fragrance is everything I’ve ever wanted in a cherry scent. It is not dominated by just cherry, and it is not an overload of cloying sweet cough syrup. It’s a airy, fluffy scent with a delicate softness, yet performance is beast. It’s more floral with cherry and fruit. Crystallized sugar with a whipped lactonic topping. Please note, I’m also not a gourmand fan, but this one is balanced with notes complimenting each other. I want to say that I do not at all get cheap from this. I don’t even like that term cheap. I like to use the word artificial. In this case I don’t get that at all. The opening is floral fruity aquatic. It fastly changes to a fluffy and milky floral with a bit of powder, gentle and soft. Giving way to a sweet drizzle of goodness over flowers and fruit. It then transforms and you get sandalwood mixed with the florals and cherry sorta balancing it all out and giving a bit of a more mature aspect. I truly enjoy this fragrance. Get a sample, and see if your nose likes it as much as I do.

Oh my god how much I love this It is very unique to my nose When I first smelled it I thought it smelled exactly like this mock-wine beverage that I cook for christmas, more like mulled wine, I add hibiscus and orange and cinnamon and a few other spices and cook them together... But this to me smells as if I have added strawberry juice to the mix. And maybe a touch of jasmin. it is very fruity but very dark, but not just fruity u cant sum it up with just the word fruity. It is very much a red fragrance. I thought sakeena was the most red perfume I ever smelled but sakeena is more like fire, more sunny but not as in happy as in fiery and beachy and warm dark and animalic.. all because of the intense salt note combined with raspberry. It can also be seen as a very dark red.. which the bottle is. This is like a more juicy red... but still dark .. still sexy.. it does exude warmth.. When I saw the note of cherry I said yes. This absolutely smells like cherry, like the most beautiful medicinal cherry note. I love it. In my top 9. Edit: I now after initial spray can smell whipped cream on top of my spicy hibiscus/cherry drink. Heavennnnn

I honestly can’t get enough of Ruby Rush, it’s the perfect casual, feel-good scent that always gets me compliments, just like Gold Rush does. From the first spray, you get this juicy, ripe cherry note that’s sweet but not too heavy or medicinal. It’s fresh, a little tart, and just makes you smell amazing right away. As it settles, the florals come through in this cool, watery way that keeps the fragrance light and airy. It never feels overpowering, just soft and feminine. And then there’s that hint of whipped cream in the base, giving it a little creamy sweetness without turning it into a full-on dessert. It’s just the right amount of warmth to balance everything out. Ruby Rush is perfect for a casual day out, but it also works great for brunch with the girls or even a daytime date. It has that effortless, pretty vibe that makes you feel put-together without trying too hard. For a celebrity cheapie, it's quite amazing how very single time I wear it, someone tells me I smell really good. I also kinda' love the kitschy bottle. It's just the right amount of glamorous mixed with a hint of tacky.

Love love LOVE cherry notes (Lost Cherry is a love of mine) and was intrigued by this before it launched, as I’d been wanting something cherry that could work in warmer weather (or year-round.) The notes had me a little skeptical, I thought it might be a little too aquatic for my taste, but I was pleasantly surprised at how beautiful this is (and I don’t detect the hibiscus or water lily, which is perfect for me.) The performance and longevity are also better than I expected. I grabbed this at Burlington for about $15, it was on my list of perfumes to try and I could not resist at that price. The first time my man smelled it on me, he couldn’t shut up about how good I smelled. For hours. Worth every cent.

I was hoping for more of the whipped cream and cherry notes, but I realized that I like when whipped cream is on the base note. It's not bad; but not the best. In the beginning its very floral/powdery and a bit of a screeching cherry. But the dry down is where it comes through much nicer. The whipped cream is a lot more potent but the floral and cherry get muddled. So it's a little weird smelling the cream and floral mixed together 😅 It's a like but not a love. Overall I'm happy spending $15 at Ross on it. 😆 Edit** The dry down is pure whipped cream and I love it. This lasts so long too; got a good 4hr wear and around the 2-3hr mark is when the creaminess takes over. I absolutely love this perfume!

Paris is one celebrity I think does very well with her scents.. where even though they’re inexpensive they don’t come off smelling super cheap or juvenile.. like this is a sweet creamy cherry but still manages to have some maturity to it (has a slight powdery undertone) The dry down is what I really love..turns to a nice lush soft powdery fruity vanilla musk..cherries a tough note..can come off cough droppy.. or car air freshener.. really done nice here & you can pick up the cherry, it’s either going to be a love it or hate it & I love it!

I’d call this gourmand for sure, it smells like cherry whipped cream. As much as I enjoy sniffing it, it doesn’t project very far or very well, which makes the longevity feel practically non-existent on the first wear. However, the next day the powdery notes had lingered on my wristwatch...utterly sublime. I’ll certainly not be so quick to dismiss a fragrance based only on first wear. Also, It’s affordable enough to take a decant with you and just top up throughout the evening. This is a fabulous girl’s night out scent.

Reminds me a lot of the Kimoji Cherry but other notes are more noticeable in this one, like the dahlia. Waited a long time for this to finally be released and it was worth the wait! Lying in bed just sniffing my wrists and smiling😌 I have a soft spot for Gold Rush so it will always be my fav but this is a very close second. And the bottle is stunning! Wish it would’ve been out in time for Valentine’s Day! Not just a perfect gift but perfect decor! Definitely displaying it next year♥️

I am a gourmand/flower lover and this checks both of those boxes. I’m always on the hunt for something juicy and sweet and this is so nice. The beginning you get that cherry and raspberry but it fades away with the Lily and dahlia on the dry down, sweet from the whipped cream and vanilla and a hint of woodyness. It is so good for a cheapie. Smells amazing, grown up and not childlike. I really think it could be good in hot and cold months as well. Very round.

Cherry raspberry whipped cream goodness! Omg I am obsessed. This smells way too good. I just received this in the mail and I just know it’s going to smell incredible with my cherry and vanilla oils. I cannot give an opinion on longevity because I have not worn it yet. But, I am so glad that I bought this. I love all things cherry, so this was up my alley. This one is definitely super feminine. This perfume gives me summer/spring vibes!

I don’t think Paris has ever put out a bad fragrance! She launches relatively affordable but great performing fragrances. Her, Billie Eilish and Ariana Grande are the only celebrity or influencers who I trust for fragrance brand today! This one did not disappoint! A more gourmand Lost Cherry with a more lactonic and sugary base! Absolutely delicious

@poppyetpear Your best bet is to keep an eye out on resell sites because Paris Hilton last two releases did not get an official launch and very little promo. It just slowly began to appear on different sites. I'm not sure why, but i find it very weird. It almost seems as if Paris has very little interest and involvement in her fragrance.

This is a beautiful, powder cherry with a touch of whipped cream fragrance! The bottle looks amazing in person. It starts with a powdery cherry before it settles into a powdery whipped cream. If you liked the cherry Escadas, you will probably like this. The longevity is very good. I think this is my favorite from the rush line.

This ruby rush paris hilton perfume it smells so beautiful and darkish cherry smell and it reminds me of parris truck sales mack terrapro heil freedom half pack front loader garbage truck in diecast form because it says parris close to paris and the colors are red and blue and I name her ruby mack

This is really nice I love the cherry notes it’s very sweet, fruity and fresh. At first spray I get the cherry note it kinda smell like jelly cherry’s but in a nice way again not synthetic which some cherry perfumes can be but Ruby rush is a really nice cherry scent definitely worth to try

I love this. It starts out like a Cherry Liqueur and then fades to a delicious Cherry candy. Love. It. Its exactly what I wanted in a cherry perfume. Its beautiful and sexy. The quality is amazing considering it's a celebrity perfume. Definitely going to grab me a full size

Absolutely loving this!!! Lots of cherry,vanilla,cream,musk and hints of sandalwood and raspberry. This in my opinion can be worn year round. Longevity and sillage are both moderate for me.

Wow, this is stunning. I cannot stop smelling myself when I wear it and something in it feels truly unique. I think it is the dahlia. I wish it lasted longer but it is worth reapplying for.

This is so unapologetically feminine and sexy yet sweet. It’s smells like red starbursts to me, while having softer notes to ground it and make it more sophisticated. I need this.

I liked this more and more the longer it dried down. It transformed into a really unique, beautiful scent. Smells great on clothes.

I like Paris Hilton. I think she is very funny, and I just enjoy her comedic character, she is quite charming. That being said I did sample 2 of her perfumes before I blind bought Ruby Rush. Just me and With Love from Paris and I didn't care for either, although With Love was an ok vote and just me was a dislike. That being said I wanted to give her another chance and since the Rush line is quite popular, I decided to blind buy the cherry one since I only have 3 cherry type fragrances in my collection. The bottles are hilarious and tacky but tacky in a way that works as only Paris can do and do well. What I like about Ruby Rush is that it actually smells like a perfume. I have sampled quite a few expensive niche and designer cherry perfumes in the last few days and thought they smelled like candles or cherry candies, or they had too much vetiver (Looking at you Jimmy Choo) or just smelled fake (looking at you CH Good Girl Glam) In other words they just weren't for me. Ruby rush has that cherry that you want but it is also quite floral which I prefer. I get cherry right up-front w/ a slight whipped cream vibe, but it is slight. Raspberry blossoms (and yes, they do have a smell, we had a raspberry bush on our farm and the blossoms smell) are well represented here, they smell like a flowering raspberry, just like cherry blossoms smell like a flowering cherry. I get a water lily here as well that gives this perfume a slight aquatic tonality. Ruby is also slighty powdery which I love. Again it smells like a perfume. The vanilla here is done nicely, not overly vanillic but enough to know it is there. This is a sweet but not sickly sweet, fun, slightly shampoo type fruity floral that would work year-round. My husband really likes this. It smells a bit similar to Escada Cherry in Japan, which is a cherry blossom scent that I own. Not a dupe but both are a floral perfume w/ a slight to medium cherry smell. I am really liking this perfume and may have to try another Rush in the future. Well done, Paris. This is a nice floral/cherry perfume and a good value for money because it lasts like crazy for me anyway.

At first spray it smelled like somewhat of a light tart cherry which was love. But the next part is the one I hated the most because there is a note somewhere that kinda reminds me of bug spray. I was so disappointed I almost wanted to return this. Good thing I didn’t! Because after that the best part happens... the drydown. It smells like a powdery sweet cherry vanilla. It smells so good! I kept sniffing my arms and i’m glad that bug spray note totally disappeared. Good thing I gave it a chance and not let my initial impression ruin it. Also the bottle is so cute beside my Gold rush. They tower over my other bottles. Longevity is good too as I keep getting whiffs of this all throughout the day.

That’s a “like” for me mostly because of the price and a cute bottle design which looks quite unique for a celebrity perfume in my opinion. The scent itself smells kinda retro to me, in a good way though. Probably because of noticeable floral accord that is mixed with syrupy-style sweet cherry. Then in a while this cherry smells like sweet summer fruit punch. Unfortunately, on me this is mostly a skin scent and the longevity is 2 hours max. But again, for 110 PLN together with delivery I don’t mind at all. I think it’s a good choice if you want to have a sweet floral cherry scent in your collection that works as a mood booster but don’t want to ruin your bank account for that.

I recently bought this as a blind buy and I didn’t even look at the notes. This is probably one of my favourite blind buys I’ve done. Just before I tried it, I looked at the notes on fragrantica, and expected a very sweet cherry scent. It’s actually a lot nicer than I thought. When you first spray it, you can smell cherry and vanilla. As it dries down, it turns into a powdery cherry, and then when it’s fully dried, I smell powdery cherry with hints of floral and whipped cream. I actually really like it and it lasts quite a while too! I’d recommend this and I may even buy a back up bottle!

I enjoy this. To me this is very similar to Lovefest Burning Cherry by Kayali, however it is floral, creamy cherry instead of woody, and warm. I find this comforting and cozy, but also totally appropriate for spring and maybe summer depending on where you live. I get about 5hrs of solid wear, and then it dries into a much sweeter version of itself, and admittedly, the dry down is what makes this a like, not a love for me. The type of sweet that it goes on my skin eventually makes me feel a bit nauseous. Overall I do like it, but it does lean pretty sweet eventually to me.

A happy blind by for me! This is different from other cherry perfumes I've tried, because it is a floral cherry rather than a gourmand cherry. The opening is a bright, juicy, fruity cherry (not boozy, sweet, or syrupy), then the florals come out. I get mostly an aquatic type floral (water lily). The dry down is a fruity, floral, sweet, creamy, slightly musky scent. I don't get "whipped cream" out of this, but I do get a creamy feeling in the dry down. This reminds me of a higher-end, more perfumey BBW Japanese Cherry Blossom.

I honestly thought I would have gotten more of the cherry note when I first sprayed this. I am glad that the cherry is toned down, I get more of the floral and whipped cream note. Someone said that it is comforting and I can agree, it’s a soft and comforting smell that lasts a long time on me. I worn it yesterday and I enjoyed the smell...still testing it out today and can say that it lasts more on clothes than on skin. I feel like this can be worn all year round since I get more of the florals notes.

Very powdery cherry scent. I found this quite lovely, especially because of how fond I am of cherry in fragrance. This has this airy softness to it that most cherry scents don't today. It is still very sexy thanks to the cream and sandalwood notes. I do find it to be more of a youthful option, and as I've slowly developed my personal taste and learned what it is I like, I have unfortunately grown out of this bottle before I could even put a dent in it.

This smells great. Unfortunately the initial blast is the best part, then it fades a lot to something that is still nice, but not as nice :( Still smells great though in the dry down. edit: ok now this reminds me too much of a ludens cherry drop. Luckily I like that, but I wish this was more of an actual cherry smell and not so artificial cherry smelling.

This is a nice cherry fragrance that isn't syrupy and doesn't have masculine notes. I'm wearing it in the heatwave of summer 2024 and its very refreshing. It makes me think of cherries on top of ice cream. I just wish they would have made the bottle transparent with the glitter effect like the Rose and platinum rush bottles.

I'm a fan of many Paris Hilton fragrances, so I jumped at the chance to try this one, and it didn't disappoint! It starts out red-fruity, and then morphs floral, but a pleasant floral that doesn't turn too mature.

This was a blind purchase for me, and a successful one! A beautiful whipped cream with cherry, that lasts for 4-5 hours on my skin. Absolutely great performance for a celebrity perfume.

Had to get rid of it because powdery cherry isn't my thing. That's pretty much what it smells like. Sweet and cute

Like AuraAngelMuse below, I get no cherry from this at all. It's smells 100% like a spiced apple Christmas candle or room spray. That apple-cinnamon potpourri scent is actually a favorite for me in fall and winter...in wax melts, candles, or air freshener. Bath and Body Works has a concentrated room spray called Harvest Gathering that is pretty much identical to this. No cherry or vanilla, all apples, cloves , cinnamon, and leaves or wood chips. 🍎 🍁 I love it as a holiday house scent, but not to wear. It's sort of fitting that this smells like Christmas. With its red metallic dress and gold plastic cap, the bottle looks very much like a tree ornament -- the red metal balls with gold tops. The Fragrantica pic makes it look like translucent frosted red glass, but it's not. It's all over metallic, just like a traditional Christmas tree ball. 🔴 I'll use this up come fall and winter as a room spray, it's perfect for that. It's way too artificial and potpourri-like to wear as perfume, and way too Walmart Christmas ornament to display the bottle any other time of year. 🎄

This for some reason reminds me of like... winter candy apple or pumpkin apple from bath and body works or something along those lines. I don't know why it just doesn't smell like cherry to me at all. Interestingly I get the comparison to hidden fantasy except HF is more spicey/woodsy. I find this doesn't last super long on skin, it smells fine, I won't be keeping it though as I bought it for those gourmand notes and I don't think this showcases them well. This personally reminds me of fall time, could be a good option for people who want a fall fragrance that isn't spicy.

I feel like I’m in the minority on this one and I will say I don’t really enjoy this! The Cherry is superb but the powdery note this has ruins it. I can see why this would be so popular but gold rush is still the best of this line and I don’t think she’ll ever have another beat it. Performance is great and sillage is also great. I just don’t personally like the smell but I can definitely see why someone would. It’s just way to powdery for my taste. This is Cherrys, whipped cream, and florals that are powdery! If that sounds like you, this is a great price for the scent.

Smells kind of like cherry bubblegum. It probably could be an all year round scent but might be too cloying in high heat. I loved Gold Rush so I bought this, both are nice scents that you can’t go wrong with owning, but I prefer Gold Rush. Last about 7 hours on my clothes. I don’t like over spraying because it can become too strong. As a cherry lover I have others in my collection that I prefer, but it’s not bad.
