Having a chocolate pina colada on a night out at a dive bar in paradise. Intoxicating yet unique. scent breakdown - Opens up with a wonderful mix of tropical coconut milk mixed with buttery and sweet cocoa with slight hints to the creamy sandalwood in the base. As it dries down the creamy sandalwood begins to take over; the coconut, cocoa, and twinge of tonka come in to support the sandalwood. In the deep dry down the BR540-esque sweet musk/ambroxan of the base comes to tag along with the sandalwood. personal thoughts - A very nice unisex woody/coconut scent for those like myself who might be a little tired of the oversaturated tanning lotion-esque or sickeningly sweet coconut fragrance market. One of the very few tropical fragrances that I think could be worn year-round with sprays/scenarios permitting. This is tied for my favorite in the house along with Mile High, and funnily enough; Mile High + this fragrance layered makes this much better suited for the summertime than this by itself. performance - Great performance of 10ish hours with moderate projection throughout the first half of the fragrance, sinking to intimate for the rest. rating - 9.2/10. when to wear - Dive bars in paradise; Campfire on the beach with friends; Late night yacht parties song vibe - All Night Long by Lionel Richie and Jimmy Buffett TLDR - Chocolate pina colada + creamy sandalwood + BR540 sweet muskiness. A very yummy and unique dark tropical fragrance. It is a must-try if you're looking for a darker, richer fragrance with a fun tropical vibe or a coconut fan.

When I first tried Comète Paradis, I judged it by projection and longevity. I wanted radiance. I wanted something that filled space. Now I understand it differently. Comète Paradis is not meant to radiate, it’s meant to hover. It sits close to the skin in a soft, almost weightless way. The texture is airy, creamy, and gently musky, like a quieter extension of Milky Musk rather than a louder evolution. There’s a soft sweetness pushing forward. No dramatic trail. It’s intimate and restrained. You don’t wear this to be noticed across a room, you wear it for yourself, or for someone already close. Yes, it stays subtle. Yes, it can feel fleeting. But that restraint is part of its identity. It’s comfort in low volume. Milky Musk still feels more structured and more present on my skin. Comète Paradis feels softer, more ephemeral, almost like a memory of warmth rather than warmth itself. It’s beautiful, but it requires the right expectations. This isn’t about projection. Wow. I like this house (I own mile high and have tried about half the other offerings including milky musk) so was keen to try this. Smelt in Printemps whilst on holiday in Paris, and woah, it was love at first sniff. The blotter I had it on gave a very diffusive scent into the air of my hotel room until I left (~around 4 days) and the wafts were gorgeous. Predominantly coconut, with a smooth creamy sandalwood and musks. Quite linear, with just the slightest sprinkle of cacao to make this delicious without being overtly gourmand. This is absolutely gorgeous, it will serve as a great day time scent in colder weather, evening in warmer and a cosy, comforting blanket any time. Reminiscent of blanche bête for me - the coconut and musks and overall enveloping feel are similar. I went and purchased from the brand's boutique and can't wait to wear once I'm home. EDIT: Worn it a few times since being home and it just struck me - RICE PAPER! In the opening it has a rice paper kind of texture/scent, sweet and powdery in that same way as those little sheets of rice paper I would buy as a child.

The aroma is a cocooning hug of sweet coconut musk and creamy sandalwood. It seems like a sweeter, complex and more gourmand version of D’orsay’s J’approchais Un Mystère A.C. The opening has a slightly fruity / floral note that I can put my finger on, but it counterbalances the rich tonka / sandalwood base and stops the sweetness from becoming too cloying. A comforting scent in cooler months, but I think it will become more of a warm tropical vibe in summer. Love! Edit: it’s is a stealth beast mode fragrance—I applied it at 2pm and the aroma seemed to swell and gain intensity over the space of the first 4 hours. By 9pm, it was still so strong that I had to apologise to the chef for my intrusive aroma (I live in Japan and it’s bad manners to wear strong perfume in counter restaurants). It’s now midnight at it’s still beautiful fragrant. I absolutely adore this perfume, but I’ll be careful about the days I chose to wear it, and will be mindful about over-spraying!

This fragrance is going to go “through the roof popular” once YouTubers get ahold of it. Wow!! Just wow! It’s love at first sniff! THIS IS THE BEST SANDALWOOD fragrance I have ever encountered. The sandalwood / sweetness / spicy ratio is just magnificent. Very high quality naturals being used. Opens with the most perfect cinnamon woody note with some coconut and musk to make it lighter, then when the Tonka bean base comes in, more sandalwood comes in and it’s so creamy. This is unisex for sure, sits in the middle. But I will say, the dry down starts to lean a tad more to the feminine side. I have no issue with that. It’s gorgeous. They absolutely killed this composition. I already went through my decant and ordered a full bottle. If you like the note of sandalwood, order a sample of this right away. 10/10!!!! I don’t see anyone being offended by this offering, it’s very mood lifting.

Picked this up when visiting their Paris retail and going through their whole collection. Not only was it my favorite while there, I've been on a search for a musky chocolate fragrance that is not cloyingly sweet or desert prone and this hits that very well, however it has a slow build, remains rather low key and intimate, but still projects well for the first hour. Its mature, not trying to do too much and smells rich and inviting. I don't get much of the coconut, and never have. Was testing blind in the store and coca and musk to me are the stand out notes sitting in a gentle bed of wood.

This is so unique and perfectly blended! A magnificent warm sandalwood overall with facets of cacao, musk, and coconut, all playing together in harmony to create a soft and cozy fragrance with just a little bit of cakey sweetness. Airy and musky in the drydown. This isn't cloying or overly sweet at all - it is perfect!! No pickle smell that you can sometimes get with sandalwood. This and Milky Musk are two of my absolute favorite scents ever - both gorgeous sandalwoods from Parle Moi!! 10/10

Upon first testing in the store I didn’t like it, or I should rather say it did not leave any impression at all. But after ordering a sample and testing some more I have really grown to love it. It is a sweet, warm, creamy, powdery sandalwood with coconut, in the same vein as JHAG Sunny Side Up and City Rhythm Miami. It stands out because of the light almond and bitter cocoa touch. I can imagine this to be very cozy in autumn and winter but at the same time warm and tropical in summer.

Milky Musk and Comete Paradis are for a Coconut loving couple going on vacation. But you ought to love modern Amber-Musks type of base. Milky Musk is less intense and more transparent, has something floral lurking around sometimes. Comete Paradis is more murky and has a really strong Patchouli character of its Amber-Musk base; it also lasts forever (do not put it on your clothes!). I tried Parle Moi's very popular Milky Musc but wasn't overly impressed so I was a little hesitant to try this one. It's not very often that a fragrance holds me in awe but Comète Paradis has me absolutely spellbound. I became immediately lost in the creamy sandalwood-coconut-cocoa butter scent. Although this is definitely a gourmand it's not overly sweet, just a perfect balance. I am definitely buying a full size of this.

People who says this smells like BR540 need to get their nose check. Seems like anything with a sweet ambroxan and molecular quality automatically gets compared to it. This is an inoffensive milky creamy woody lactonic airy scent with Ambroxan and molecular quality that is just to die for. It’s such a nice scent, if you love another 13, Blanche bete etc you will love this scent

Nice cacao sweet cake but performance is terriable

This is a super comforting scent. Reminds me of a candle called Cashmere Woods I used to burn (more refined, of course). I love Milky Musk, and I agree with other commenters - this is like the deeper, slightly more gourmand version of Milky Musk. This is so well blended. The cacao and tonka are wonderful here; neither is too overbearing. Another lovely scent from the house.

A lovely milky coconut - wee bits of chocolate too. The tonka comes on a bit bitter to me and am not so sure about it. But whatever... carry on... I suppose some musky tonka keeps things from being beachy. Overall still milky smooth, not too sweet at all. More cacao tobacco-tonka, but not really gourmand. Mildly woody. Unisex. Yeah I dig it. 4.5/5

Echoing what the person said about this one gaining popularity once it's discovered. It's very nice but something I'd easily get tired of. If you like BR540, Tribeca, Escapade gourmand, gourmand coquin, Tihota etc. you'll end up adoring this one!

Quite a sharp woody opening on a skin, suffocating even. It's light on a blotter. But on my skin sandalwood is the only thing I can smell for half an hour. It needs some time to become a softer sweet scent, which I really like.

Somehow, despite its listed notes, there’s a textural roughness to this fragrance—it surprises me since I was expecting something far creamier and smooth. On first test, Comète Paradis is immediately coconutty. I’m unsure if I’d call it a naturalistic coconut scent, but it makes me think of a discarded coconut shell left to dry out on hot sand. There’s a continual powderiness that I expect is the combined effect of coconut, cocoa, and a similarly dry sandalwood. All together, they amplify the impression of the coconut’s this exterior instead of its interior, subduing and distancing the iconic tropical fruit from any sort of oiled-up and suntanning beach bum vibe. When the sandalwood develops, it takes over almost entirely, with that textural coconut shrinking and softening as the fragrance plays out. Thankfully the dry sandalwood doesn’t bring any pickle notes to the beach scene. It’s not until dry down that it all blends together with tonka bean and musk and finally relaxes into a creamier scent profile that lingers close on the skin. It’s these two notes that lend some much needed softness to the fragrance, saving it from feeling too scratchy and dry. I could see this being an excellent fragrance for the colder months.

Ordered a sample since I love coconut. Was not what I was expecting. Definitely get the BR540 DNA on dry down. Not my thing.

Opening is horrible in my opinion. Drydown is still mot good, coconut is way to strong, and synthetic. This fragrance also reminds me of zoologist harvest mouse for some reason. Also too feminine. Not worth the price.

When I went into smelling this I thought I was going to get a sweet deep coconut. I barely smell any coconut. It smells like dust on me. A very powdery dry scent. Maybe to others taste but not for me.

would be a simple dislike if it were just coconut heavy. since it settles to a lactonic smell, it's on the blacklist for me.

After sampling this, I wasn't surprised to see the comparisons to Baccarat Rouge 540 and its many dupes. But the fragrance I think it smells most similar to is Tribeca from Bond no. 9 without a doubt. They share the same perfumer (Michel Almairac) so I'm a lot less surprised. This fragrance has that burnt sugar sweetness that many have come to associate with the BR540 DNA, but the cacao, tonka and woody facet (sandalwood in this case) give it that similar Tribeca twist that stops it from being redundant if you already have BR. The dry down is where the sandalwood really shines along with the coconut; they're both somewhat dry smelling. I only have a few sprays on the back of my hand to test, so I can't speak to the longevity as of yet. But this fragrance does smell very very close to Tribeca. Nearly identical if I'm being honest. The only real difference I'm picking up is this doesn't have the lactonic accord that Tribeca does. I can't say I mind at all because it's that very accord that makes Tribeca smell nauseating to me despite me really enjoying it otherwise.

Blind bought since these notes usually can’t go wrong for me and I wasn’t disappointed. It smells similar to Disumano, which I own and love. It’s not exactly the same though as this one has sandalwood & some other different notes in it but the overall impression of the fragrance is the same for me, sweet, airy and leans more fem to me but I feel it’s also a unisex version of Disumano as that one is definitely feminine to me whereas this treads the line. I found the performance to be good. I got a nice sillage from it for about 3-4 hours and even got a few compliments on it. It lasted on my skin all day, I could still smell it on me after 8 hours. It’s not a beast mode scent for sure but it projected well in first few hours then it was a more in your scent bubble type of fragrance but it’s definitely still there and is very easy to like. Edit: Sold my bottle but not because I didn’t like it, but because it leaned more masculine to me the more I wore it. Would smell incredible on a man!

Magnetic and dreamy! Airy nebula like musk with perfectly sweet fluffy coconut, transparent woods and molecular tonka. Feels almost like pheromones would be in this because I get so many compliments! And I don’t feel like it’s too gourmand. Finally a niche coconut scent without the typical white florals or tropical vibes. This coconut is fluffy and soft, similar to the chewy part of an Almond Joy. It has a similar coconut vibe to Byredo Desert Dawn, but this is more decadent. The Vibe: This reminds me of second day hair that smells like lingering BR540 body oil (different than BR540 perfume) wearing a cute but dark Fleur Du Mal undie set with tiny embroidered stars, lounging and rewatching Sex & The City whilst snacking on expensive fluffy coconut truffles that a rich admirer keeps sending you. I also think of the song “Porque Te Vas” by JEANETTE.

SOTD Comete Paradis 62 by Parle Moi De Parfum First smell is floral and light. For me there is a sweet coconut in the base that is lovely. Almost immediately becomes a skin scent on me. Very soft and gentle, very comforting smelling. Scent stayed as a skin scent for about 10 hours on me, very little to no projection. Free sample with purchase from Lucky Scent. I would get a travel size decant or full bottle in the future if I got projection. Would be an amazing bedtime scent.

Echoing reviewers below, this is a very soft pretty scent. I wouldn’t even categorize it as woody, because it lacks any sharpness. It has a very fuzzy quality about it. I get a very sweet mix of the cocoa and coconut on skin that reminds me of what my skin smells like after using the Dove coconut and cocoa butter body wash. I’m still testing it out but I feel like it’s almost leaning too sweet for me, oddly enough

This is actually a beautiful coconut scent that does not lean tropical or sunscreen-y at all! The only other coconut scent I've tried that managed to do this is Vanilla Powder. It's powdery and the sandalwood is creamy. It's not a dupe at all but it has similar vibes to Vanilla Powder. So if you like that one, this might be worth a try. A lovely and cozy sandalwood with coconut powder.

Smells like a combo of artificial cotton candy (which I love) just in the beginning + wood that smells a bit like oak+ black tea. In a way it smells like you just opened ur box of English chai tea bags. Quite stunning. There is a creamy vanillic scent bubble as well. Underrated, but I’m in no rush to get it . I feel like I’ve been to a 5 star hotel in Miami that smells like this.

Ok, does anyone else get whiffs of Molecule 01 Iso E Super? It's like if Molecule 01 made sweet love to a milky coconut and they had a baby. This is what this smells like to me. Will need to buy a FB as soon as i run out of the sample.

I love Wake Up World, so I bought this one without even trying it. I am not disappointed at all, it reminds me a lot of another perfume from the same perfumer, Capri de aljazeera, even though I prefer Comète Paradis.

Despite the difference in notes it opens super bright anbd candy like exactly like Zarko Cloud collection 1. Then it just dries down to creamier and close to the skin sandalwood. But it’s exactly same DNA.

Unique santal take. Creamy and dries down really nicely. For AUD $187, it’s great value for a niche fragrance.
