Flavia Vanilla 82

I love this perfume. 🖤 It has become my signature now. It really suits my skin and everyone keeps asking what I'm wearing. I bought it directly from the perfume house in France. I live in a hot country, so I don't know if that affects the dry down. To me this smells of a lovely combination of sugary Vanilla with green and floral notes. It starts with the fresh blast of sparkly peach, a nice green note and the vanilla. It is a sweet vanilla. You also have the lovely Ylang Ylang and Michellia floral notes that give that exotic feel. When it warms up on your skin, you get more sugary Vanilla. Then a toasty, very smoky note comes through with the vanilla! Sexy! I also smell a background of creamy sandalwood. I love it, I can't stop smelling myself. Flavia is sweet, pretty, feminine, exotic but also darkly alluring. I found this to be strong and lasts for so long. Opposite to what others are saying. Personally, I found all the Parle Moi perfumes are strong and needs a light hand. Also, this is not a purely gourmand lover's perfume. Although sweet vanilla can come through at most times. Gourmand vanilla lovers may be disappointed if they have such expectations. I love the bottle design and how it comes in a pouch inside a tube to protect it. The notes above are not correct, many notes are missing. Also, it has been mentioned that Parle Moi perfumes are linear and I completely disagree. They have many hidden notes.

I'm in love. This one is for awake senses as it is very subtle...I got addicted immediately with it's angel like, sweet, multifaceted pastel rainbow northern lights quality. It has dimensions if you are present enough while being the softest and very dreamy. So feminine and perfect. Love that the notes are not revealed. Not sure if I am being influenced by the reviewer below but I imagine drops of peach and ylang ylang, a few drops of something I am trying to figure out...in an ever so slightly woody ocean of smooth sweetness with a touch of vanilla. Agree about the lotion quality.

Flavia vanilla doesn't seem like a vanilla forward perfume in the beginning. It's mixed with some unknown flowers and preventing it for being too cloying. But the dry down is this slightly burned sugar with a soft vanilla. Linear, but beautiful and high quality. Just what to expect from the brilliant, well known Michel Almairac who created it. Quite long lasting too! 5/5

I was disappointed when I finally got to smell this. As other have mentioned, the vanilla isn't the superstar here. It's quite sharp actually, and more fruity and green rather than a gourmand.

A feminine, fruity scent. It’s a juicy peach fragrance, but it doesn’t feel youthful in a simple way—it has more depth to it.

Others have said it, but I have to repeat it: This smells like an expensive lotion. But it also smells like someone just walked past you with the most exclusive fluffy perfume, and you’re left standing in the cloud they left behind. I got my sample quite some time ago, but I forgot about it for some time because I found it slightly boring, and a somewhat ‘safe’ blind buy fragrance. Now that my sample has macerated, I begin to understand the comments about this one being a warm fruity fragrance that even have a slight white flower tendence. Though, it is still very soft and fluffy with that lotion-feel to it. The vanilla to my nose is only an undertone to all of the soft, mellow, musky powdery-ness. But it settles down on the skin like a warm musk with a sprinkle of sugar on top. As the brand states themselves «Flavia is vanilla, dark and sweet, soft and fascinating, totally seductive». It is seductive! But it is too intimate to really seduce? I don’t think anyone will get that close up to my wrist and smell this for me to be able to seduce them whilst wearing this? With that being said, it is quite intimate, but it still leaves a cloud-trail that is quite difficult to actually pinpoint. The longevity is good though! All the times I have worn my sample I have gotten 8+ hours out of it, and the price is fairly good as well. 100 euro for 50ml is pretty decent, isn’t it?

A low-sugar vanilla, I get more of an ice-cream feeling, rather than cotton-candy. Like when you eat soy alternative ice-cream, you feel "lightness" as compared to Cream. This is what you get here. Vanilla is not ~in-you-face~, rather cooled down, very calm. Unfortunately, very low sillage, stays Close to skin after 1.5 h, such a shame for a niche scent. I don't love vanilla-dominated scents (I prefer hesperides)but I will be happy finishing my 5 ml decant. Try Before you buy.

Echoing everyone else here that this smells like an expensive lotion. And I love it. I don’t get the vanilla as much. On me, Flavia Vanilla is sweet, creamy, and almost buttery. There’s a hint of a flower that I can’t quite place, but it’s soft and pretty. I find Parle Moi frags in general to be soft and elegant. This is no exception. I will be purchasing a full bottle after I finish my decant. 7.5/10

For vanilla lovers, it is a delicate and nice vanilla. I really like it but the problem is the longevity and the sillage: they are not so good with my skin. Comforting, this perfume is perfect for fall and winter. More for woman to my opinion (vanilla with some flowers and ylang ylang) but why not in a man. 7/10 due to the low sillage and projection.

A very soft and gentle vanilla scent. It surrounds you with a warm and cozy atmosphere without offending anyone. Very relaxing and soothing. It can definitely be used with other fragrances to enhance the depth.

I can't feel vanilla scent from it. Floral,powdery scents is prominent than vanilla. Totally very femmin. Beautiful floral sweet fregrance,but i won't buy bottle.

I really wanted to love this one but I can hardly smell any vanilla. For my nose, it is primarily white flowers sugar syrup. It has a bit of warm-fruitiness to it as well. On my skin it becomes fluffy and a bit powdery. Overall, it is beautiful and well-rounded. Very intimidate, stays close to the skin and does not layer well. There is a lot of elegance to it, even though it is a bit linear. The smell is very wearable and sophisticated but not memorable and ultimately too expensive for what it offers.

I am still quite perplexed about this one. I was pretty excited to try a fragrance with vanilla dominance without having the overwhelming sweetness note that comes with it. Unfortunately, that’s what I got. I was expecting some woody notes for some reason but they never came haha. What’s more, the vanilla is so absent that I was wondering what I was smelling at some point. It’s a good vanilla fragrance alternative but still too redundant and boring for me. Starts off as a vanilla with something green, like Spanish melon liqueur or Pisang Ambon. Dries down sugary sweet to end as a white musk on the skin. Lasting power and sillage are weak. I see this more as a room fragrance diffused in some fashion store or a body spray offered by Zara, Mango etc. Could work just fine for layering but too little interest as a freestanding fragrance.

I’m getting mostly white floral with a syrupy sweet vanilla undertone, heavy on the white flowers. In the hot weather the sugar undertone amplifies intensely like a saccharine overdose. It was headache inducing and I had to scrub it off. In the cooler weather I actually enjoyed its white floral sweetness. It’s pretty and feminine, it can become quite heady so less is more.

Agree with the other comment about this smelling like an expensive cream/lotion. It is sweet without being overly cloying. A bit of an odd one, I would think this smells great as a lotion but is slightly odd as a fine fragrance.

Soft sugary vanilla. Simple and pleasant. nfbw just bc of the price for what you get. Hmmmm so it's pretty boring but well made and very long lasting sprayed on a card. For vanilla lovers indeed! -

Joyful and sensual. Impression of a first date at a summer fair (emphasis on gourmand, fruity-floral, and soft scents; was not at all green for me). Additional notes: ylang, white florals, fruit (cherry?), faint smoke, faint spice, wood (sandalwood?) Opens with a blast of cotton candy, slight emphasis on that pink artificial flavoring. Simmers down into a fruity-floral, woody, barely vanillic, very sweet sugar-high frag. There is a faint dash of musk on the side that gives it that familiar soft musky close-skin feel of much of modern perfumery. I really dislike fruity-floral frags in general, so the fruitiness (cherry?) and artificial tinge thereof (which both became more pronounced during dry down, as did the wood) was too much for me. Seems really well put together nonetheless. I anticipate this could end up one of Parle Moi's more popular frags, or at least gain 'cult classic' status. *While I don't get the green notes the other reviewer refers to I do get a faint hint of the tropical scent.

Vanilla lovers, you really want to try this one. Beautiful scent! It is a delicious and interesting sparkling vanilla. It is well balanced, feminine, delicate, but with an incredible longevity and a good projection (which is rare for a vanilla scent). Probably a vanilla that beats the West Indies'one I have, but it is somehow different! Flavia Vanilla has something unique, something magical, a note (which one?) that complements it! Just kind of sparkling... After trying a sample gifted by a friend, I had to order a bottle from Selfridges, overseas. Funny fact, the bottle has a magnetic cap. Never seen that before! <3 UPDATE: i found out that the unique/special note is "banane flambee". That's why it is so special <3

Apparently, the story goes that "Flavia" was an Italian girl whom the nose Michel Almairac used to know who smelled like a dark, sugary vanilla. To me, Flavia Vanilla is not dark. It's almost like a toy vanilla, something made for children scents or for children tastes. It also reminds me of childhood so I suppose he captured that scent memory there, but this isn't dark nor seductive. I mostly pick up the peach, michelia/magnolia flower note, and a lot of white sugar that comes off synthetic and cloying. And sadly, little to almost no vanilla and not much ylang-ylang. I would consider this more of a sugary floral musk than a vanilla scent.
