Beautiful pink rose, tender and naturally sweet. The patchouli is subtle yet gives a earthy touch to the rose, enhancing the impression of being in front of a real rose bush, with roots clinging to the wet soil and droplets of rain on the leaves. This is the most realistic smell of rose I've ever come across so far, but with none of the unpleasantries usually found in rose essences, like the artichoke smell, or geranium enhancement. Performance is average, it lasts 4 hours with no issues and few hours more as a subtle skinscent. Sillage is intimate, you can overspray but this is a perfume for people looking for something natural and delicate. If you need a "loud" rose fragrance I'd go with something different. Can be worn all year round, but Spring is probably the most appropriate.

I don't understand how some people say the Parle Moi perfumes are linear or have simple notes. I don't find that at all. They seem simple but have so much going on in the background. Especially true of this one. There is way more going on here than rose and patchouli. I just can't put my finger on it. Some sparkling fruit? Lovely green in there. And a creamy woody dry down. I love all the perfumes I have tried from this house and I think they are expertly done. I have at least 5 bottles on my wish list. 🖤

Whoa, this one I actually like! And I am very picky about rose. I assumed by the name the main note would be rose, but it shocked me how great this rose is and had to check other notes. Patchouli? No, it has to be fruit note and I would also say some other flower. Maybe honeyed-white flower. And I agree with others, pear note. I love it and I don't think it's linear.

So delicious of a scent! It's very fruity with a light hint of rose. Fresh, clean, fruty-aromatic. Amazing for tbe high heat, doesn't radiate too much after the first 3hrs, but it does last around 8hrs. Raspberry off the top and settles into this calm soothing smell of woods, fruit, and rose. Simplistic, yet delightful indeed. I simply love this offering.

I am a sucker for fresh citrusy flowers and this is an absolute dream. It smells like zesty lemon cake in a sunny rose garden. I absolutely love this and wear it often. Sometimes I pair it with a vanilla perfume oil too warm it up just a little and it’s great! Disregarding the price, I can imagine this being very good for layering in general.

I feel attacked... I don't particularly like rose and I avoid patchouli. So how on earth do I love this. It's so beautiful! Starts of with bright jammy rose and dries down clean, powdery with a smidge of musk. It kinda reminds me of dried leaves. You could easily wear this year round, I'm pleasantly surprised.

This is an unusual one. It opens with a soft, dry rose, gentle and restrained, but very much a supporting player to the patchouli, which takes the lead from the outset. For the first three hours it sits close to the skin, calm and understated, before drifting into a more diffuse, jammy phase that lingers for another couple of hours. On my skin, there’s also a faint lychee-like nuance that reads slightly tart, possibly a quirk of my chemistry, adding a subtle sour edge to the sweetness. Thankfully, the patchouli here is the same variety used in Gardens of India: notably the only patchouli I’ve ever truly tolerated, let alone enjoyed. That alone earns it some serious goodwill. There’s a soft musky quality woven through the composition that I find very appealing, lasting around five hours in total. The sweetness is well judged, light, natural, and refreshingly free of that plasticky, car-freshener vibe that so often plagues rose fragrances. What really sets this apart is its softness. Unlike the dozens of rose–patchouli blends I’ve tried (and mostly disliked), this one is uniquely gentle in almost every respect. It’s a very safe blind buy if you’re looking for a pleasant, inoffensive rose with a light, dry feel, importantly, without tipping into powderiness, which is so often the downfall of this style. That said, because I find the rose here less compelling than the tuberose and jasmine pairing in Gardens of India, I don’t reach for it nearly as often. Still, it has its place. It’s never overwhelming, never headache-inducing, and for that alone, I’m grateful. Not every rose needs to smack you round the head to make an impression.

Opens with a dewy, pretty pink rose. Quite realistic like smelling fresh roses, it has that natural sweetness and freshness. Very lovely. Then the touch of patchouli at the base, it gives it a green undertone. The overall vibe is natural, delicate, and not loud or bold. A pleasant daytime scent. On me it projects for about 4h, then it stays close to the skin until the next day. In warmer weather it's more jammy, sweet and hot pink, quite different.

Opens with syrupy sweet rose. Mid and base become earthy but never dirty. Much better than the modern roses I've been sniffing for the past couple of years. This is fantastic. fbw I don't smell anything close to a dirty patchouli which suits my taste very nicely. If this did one didn't come in the full sample set, then I wouldn't have tested it because I dislike patchouli with a passion. -

Excellent. Long lasting, versatile and rich. I'm not a hardcore rose fan but I know one of quality when I experience it. This is quality ... unlike some other rather average offerings from this house. More than worth a try, especially for roseheads.

For rose lovers. Roses and patchouli, very versatile, for all seasons, all ages, all occasions. Classic and timeless scent. I like to wear it during spring. The sillage and longevity are moderate. 7/10

Pleasant, but not original. There are thousands of rose/patch perfumes just like this, but at a much cheaper price point. Sillage and longevity on me are both weak.

I find this quite snoozy (and I don't see the similarity to Chloe EdP in the slightest). It doesn't really have a point of view. It's not synthetic-smelling, which is great, but it's also not realistic. It's just flat. I can't imagine anyone smells this on another person and notices it. Maybe good for a teen just getting into fragrances who wants something really safe.

If you like Chloe EDP but think it's a bit too soapy, you might enjoy this. I don't get much patchouli, mostly just a soapy rose that is gentler than Chloe. A classic and elegant scent for those who like that type of rose.

Lipstick Rose was yet another experiment in the frankly futile task of trying to find a replacement for the imponderably discontinued Nahema. I should know by now that soliflores are not my thing. Whilst I am impressed by the technical achievement of Frederic Malle's Une Rose, Lipstick Rose is an object lesson in everything that is wrong with the soliflore trend and only serves to demonstrate how far the great art of perfumery has been debased. This is recognisably the scent of rose, but a nasty, shrieking rose with neither depth, complexity nor development. I don't know how long I tolerated my personal silliage, but it was not long before I ran to the bathroom and scrubbed my wrists to be rid of this aberration. Price most certainly does not equate to quality.

Soapy and fruity (pear); shy and fragile. Seems a mismatch with the name imho. Additional unlisted notes (imo): pear, aldehydes, musk. I don't get any spice. The patchouli (for me) is very, very faint - almost indiscernible. Personally, I love the big bombastic woody-rose scents. This is just not that at all. Generally a big fan of Parle Moi, just not this one.

If you like rose fragrance it is for you . Very old fashioned and the same very classy roses perfume .Only roses ...

The unpleasant mustiness and BO quality of this patchouli is too strong to pair it with the delicate rose alone. Unfortunately, it is horrendous to my nose.

Pleasant surprise! Was not expecting much after the reviews, the bi note, and the completely full sample (previous owner clearly didn't spray it too much so my expectations were set.) But it's really nice, fresh, fruity, jammy, timid rose, anyone can wear this without feeling overwhelmed or bored. Definitely some pear or peach in there too. the opening is hot pink bimbo heaven (complimentary)- smells like one of my childhood Barbie perfumes, either tropical splash or the little solid perfume. Luv luv luv luv !!
