Bois & Or by Pascal Morabito is a light, subtle Oriental cologne, ideal for a first approach to Oud fragrances. This is a very nice cologne but a very light one as well. It seems to have an EDC concentration, although it says EDT. I love the scent. It's a very pleasant Oriental fragrance. It's not intrusive. Its subtlilness will get you some compliments even from non oud lovers. Main features and some comments: - Low performance - Less than 4~5 hours longevity with 3 sprays; One arm lenght sillage at the most; It projects for 1~1.5 hours. - Nice inexpensive price - 200ml bottle - €13.50 - Very alluring and with very nice notes as far as I am concerned: Top notes are saffron and thyme; middle notes are rose and frankincense; base notes are cambodian oud and sandalwood. - You need at least 6~8 sprays on skin to beat the low performance. - You should spray twice in your clothes as well. Spray the juice prodigally to get a decent or at least an acceptable performance with this fragrance. The amount of compliments is far superior from what you may expect with such an inexpensive cologne. The scent and size is similar to Eau de Cartier Essence de Bois (EDC) but for one third of the price. My overall rating: 7.0~7.5/10.0 Note: If Pascal Morabito would double the performance to a trully EDT or EDP concentration, I would rate it 8.5/10.0.

@ bchavi You are quite right. This is a very nice fragrance but very light. It seems an EDC although it says EDT. I love the scent. A couple of comments and advices: - low performance - nice inexpensive price - 200ml bottle - damned fantastic notes - you need at least 12 sprays - wou must spray 4 times in your clothes The big 200 ml bottle is so inexpensive that you may spray the juice freely. This way you will get an acceptable performance with this very alluring fragrance.

I really, really like this. I can't honestly say that I pick up any of the listed notes for certain, rather it just smells like a warm, glowing, lightly medicinal cologne. I do agree with a few previous comments in particular: almond - yes, mentholated - yes, sandalwoody base - yes. I would also add chilli pepper. However it's not really the notes that make this fragrance, it's more the overall feel; warm to the point of almost being hot, with the effect of shimmering , polished gold. It's semi-sweet, clean and herbal, somewhere between a ripe almond and the hard shell surrounding it. The only comparison that really came to mind was L'Homme Ideal EDT. Maybe the faintest echo of Quorum Silver. I can't claim that this smelled amazingly high quality or detailed, but the scent Alex Lee has managed to create is just very engaging and well-balanced. I'm wearing this a lot whilst it's below 0°C, and it gives me warmth and comfort. Let's address the way that this performs - it's certainly cologne-like (close to skin, and half a day only), but to me it's hugely appealing to be able to have a warm, rich, woody, masculine fragrance that manages to be polite and wearable, even safe for work. I have cologne that do this, but they are all neroli & citrus-based, and do not fit well in winter. With that out of the way, just consider that this was £10 for 200ml! Take my money Pascal.

This an EDC like no other. It is firmly unisex even leaning feminine in the opening. Needs 10+ sprays to have any sort of performance which is ok because a 200 ml bottle is < 20$. I wish the oud and incense were more amped up to make it more masculine and give it more performance but it's still a good fragrance.

Lightly mentholated wood chips, a touch medicinal at the opening due to the saffron. Low sillage, wears close to the skin. Lasts around 4 hrs, fairly decent for an EDC. Majorly affordable, definitely a nice pick me-up in the spring or autumn months.

Disappointed... smells like McCormick's almond extract and old school barbershop Barbasol shaving cream in the dry down. Not bad, just not great either. Maybe it will work better in cooler weather.

Yes...this smells wonderful...and then we have to add the "buts" and "howevers" to the mix...lol. This has a wonderful saffron/thyme/wood opening..and I guess the so-called Oud is in there too...BUT..not all that apparent to my nose...HOWEVER....in the drying down phase you get a touch of the rose/floral vibe,tho it is subtle.The drydown reminds me of other scents that have been around...which makes this not unique...BUT..it does smell good !! HOWEVER....sadly...I wish the oomphy blast you get in the opening stayed around longer !!! And yes..yes...you have to re-apply this one to keep it really "going"....which should be no problem, since you'll have a big...heavy...200ml bottle...that will last a long time....and also...you can take out a window with the bottle...LOL....I got this for $10 bucks at Marshall's ....not bad at all for this price..

Wearing this for the first time today. Has none of the same notes as my beloved Or Black, but there is a definite similarity and the Morabito DNA is definitely there. My one gripe is that it vanishes pretty quickly. And, that's coming from someone who leans away from beast mode scents and toward skin scents. I NEVER reapply anything, but this one I felt I needed to.

Very subtle and delicate cologne. Fresh and not bothersome. Reminds me YSL M7 FRESH version. Ideal balanced composition of safron, thymus, rose, inscense, oud and wood. Longevity not very big. But big 200 ml cologne amount gives you possibility don't safe theese juices at using time ;)

looked interesting for the price but if poor longevity then why?
