Fauve De Nagada

So delicious, so warm, so enticing. This is a heady, assertive, cinnamon hot toddy for the skin. Sometimes it has cozy holiday cordial vibes like Kenzo's Jungle L'elephant. Other times, it has sweet, spicy Middle Eastern incense vibes reminiscent of Pascal Morabito Noir. Either way, it is a delectable, full-bodied treat for the cold months. If this fragrance were one of the 5 elements, it would definitely be FIRE. It just exudes heat. If you like booze, spice and sweetness together, wrap yourself in this warm, cinnamon embrace this fall/winter.

This Perfume is so bold and strking and bound to divide opinion. Beauty is in the nose of the beholder. I think this fragrace is amazing, so rich and spicy but balanced with a sharp freshness. The bottle is a wonderfully sculpted shape. A lot of thought put into the design and packaging. The story on the box explaining the inspiration for this Perfume and it's name is fascinating and thought provoking. Pascal Morabito is a genius. The range of fragrances is so diverse and amazing value for money.

Anyone who is a cinnamon and Christmas spice / cake fan will love this. It's like eating a cinnamon heavy Christmas spice cake. When I first smelled it I was already thinking of buying a bunch of back up bottles but I should know better. I should also know better not to blind buy, but here we go, blind bought it, and I absolutely love it. With me you can't go too wrong with cinnamon, and it really is a lot like my Kensington Amber which is several times the price. I'll have to do a proper side by side but at least 80% the same so definitely great price value. This does have a tobbacco note but it's not overpowering at all. Smells expensive, I would say if you love cinnamon and Christmas smells this is a safe blind buy. 12£ on all-beauty you can't really go too wrong. Edit: The caramel orchid and cognac notes makes this more like Ambre Narguile. Proper side by side with Kensington Amber: I still prefer KA, only because it focuses more on the balsamics. Fauve is more sweet indulgent gourmand. As for Tobacco Vanille, that one is a lot more masculine with almost rough pipe tobacco. Focus there is mostly on the tobacco, here it's 80% cinnamon and the rest tonka and caramel. Very mild cognac and orchid. I've rearranged the notes a little accordingly as there were barely any votes yet.

Pure opulence, this can be unisex, very similar to Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille, maybe a little lighter on the tobacco note and more delicate but a perfect twin. Very long lasting + huge trail...

Very dramatic, baroque, rich and attention grabbing. Spicy, warm, vanilla. There is something sad in this perfume though. Something charming from another time like a sad piece of history.

Purchased blindly because the notes described here were really tempting. And also for comments. Huge disappointment but I had to expect such a cheap perfume to really smell like those notes. It smells awfully synthetic and a unique aroma: Coke candy. Or some teas flavored with cassia. Horrible! But the people here comparing it to Tom Ford's Tobaco Vanilla or Lolita Lempika or Dolcelisir, what problems do they have? Are they anosmic, or do they get drunk, or what? Sorry if I'm rude, but I'm tired of throwing my money because I trust certain descriptions which turn out to be totally unreliable.

And yet another ‘Amber Narguile’ wannabe. I’d go for Arabian Oud’s ‘Arabian Nights Black’ over this as it’s so similar yet smoother. But I’m done with these sweet vanilla clones.

OMG this is GORGEOUS! I'd been craving this for a while after going on a Pascal Morabito spree and sampling some of the others with mixed reviews. One thing I can say about PM perfumes is that they smell natural, there are no synthetic notes to my nose for the ones I have at least. This was a blind buy and thankfully one of my more successful ones. Fauve Nagada is very well blended and is very similar to TF Tobacco Vanille but as the previous review said; slightly lighter. At first sniff it's rich and cinnamon sweet with a forward opening tobacco note and underlying warm boozy notes. The top notes take precedence for a good while and vanilla emerges quite a bit later. Where I find TF a bit in your face, I actually think I prefer this one as it's more wearable and could definitely be unisex. Wear with jeans and a T or for a night at the Opera. I feel it as a perfume of pure escape that takes me away to some exotic location like a Moroccan Souk, filled with heat, spices and unidentifiable smells . There is an air of mystery about this one. I would say it's a more mature scent with a slightly Boho feel, coming from the tobacco which for me has the earthy reminiscence of patchouli without the reputation. Unlike some of the other PM scents I have tried, this does project and is long lasting. I didn't have high expectations but I really like this. Could be a cult classic!
