My Diamond

This is a heady, classy, demi-clean, floral power house and it screams EA 5th Avenue from miles. I enjoy 5th Avenue since years, in spite of reformulation, it still gives the dust to many fragrances around. My Diamond is even more powerful, a bit warmer and more mature, happy, versatile and totally feminine. I'm not sure why the pyramid could be wrong, because I can smell lilac in a distinct way. Lilac always reminds me of wisteria hanging from houses gates around Easter. It's true that the linden blossom is not so noticeable in My Diamond, but all in all the similarity between the two perfumes is striking. If the listed notes are not correct it must be a curious case where notes don't tell all. I definetely suggest My Diamond if you are looking for a richer and less pungent 5thAvenue. It radiates well and lasts long on skin and fabrics.

Not gonna lie... I blind bought this because of the great price and fun packaging. It has some very heady, screechy florals that aren’t the nicest - a soapy harsh flower bomb (and I’m usually a huge floral fan). There’s no sweetness or vanilla to my nose. Not initially my fave, but it’s growing on me as something different than current trendy scent profiles.

I'm surprised that I'm the first earnest review of this scent! This is a lovely and light somewhat fresh floral. And, it's blended exceedingly well. It's good for a lot of occasions; but, I think it would be a great day scent for the Spring/Summer. It reads as effortless natural beauty.

I’m a 5th Avenue addict, and I wanted to try something I the same category, maybe a tad stronger as the E. Arden one is rather light. I agree to say that the family is the same, but the golden and sparkling little something of 5th isn’t there. It’s as if they had made a soap bar with 5th, more opaque and cleaner, the spirit is lost and the dry down is clumsy. It doesn’t glitter and doesn’t ease me, even if they did add real small pieces of plastic « diamonds » in the squared bottle. So, just a pale and awkward cousin. I’ll sell it.

The scent pyramid given above is wrong. This is the description on the Morabito site: A flowery, infinitely sophisticated bouquet where bergamot and water lili bring a sunny and sparkling touch. In the heart, Freesia and rose are enhanced by rich jasmine. In the base, sweet musc, amber and sandalwood underline the above with elegance.
