Perle Précieuse

I bought this as a blind buy purely because I was reading the reviews here on Fragrantica and because it was on special offer, which was a happy coincidence. I have to say that I enjoy everything about this perfume, including its tasteful understated box and pretty square bottle and cap design. I also love the elegant way it sits on my dressing table revealing its pretty champagne-pink perfume and looking at least three times the price I paid. I love the sparkly floral fruitiness of this scent, which really does smell very pretty, fresh and quite elegant. I wore it this morning to a meeting and felt really put together. There’s enough softness in the scent coming from the base notes of vanilla and musk to give the fragrance depth and class. Honestly, Perle Precieuse smells like an expensive secret! I like it enough to want to see what all the other perfumes Pascal Morabito perfumes smell like. The perfume lasted about 4 hours on me and I can still smell it now, although it's become over time a very close skin smell and has settled into a deep warm rhubarbby soft vanilla. I like this. I like it a lot! It’s very French, very classy, very chic - I’m sure they got the price wrong!

I bought this as a blind buy from a discount store, never having heard of the perfume or the namesake before. I looked on Fragrantica for the notes, and I liked them on paper, especially the rhubarb and rose notes. At first try, I was disappointed, because the fragrance was too light and didn't have the heft I need to get more than a couple hours on my skin. Upon subsequent tries, I caught a whiff of vanilla hours later, and paid more attention to the fragrance layers. Initial spray is pretty strong and predominantly rhubarb to me, which is great. Slightly sharp, with a tiny bit of spice. I smell no pear or orange although the pear might be softening the rhubarb. The Rose starts to peek out about 10 minutes later and the strength softens considerably. I can't find the tuberose here, although I wish I did. The base vanilla lingers as a whisper. Although it doesn't seem like it, I really like this scent. The rhubarb and vanilla mingle together nicely. I bought a second bottle because I need to overspray to get the fragrance to stay.

After wearing this every day this week, im kind of addicted. Its lovely. Fresh and a soft rose... tuberrose... water lily floral with fruit, laced with warm inviting soft vanilla. Not overly sweet because I dont do sugar bombs. Top notes are fruity and have Pear, Rhubarb and Mandarin. Mmmmmmm.. Then comes those lush Rose, Tuberose and Water Lily notes creamy and not shouty... The dry down is simply lovely, well blended, delicious... base notes are Musk and Vanilla which keep it snugly and so addictive. I think in summer this will be equally lush... Its very well crafted.. And costs less than most handcreams. I hear its similar to Gres Luminere Rose (its on my list)... Wearing it... Will make people want to get close to you... Wear it to bed.. I have added it to my favourite ROSE fragrances, because its so pretty without overpowering rose for those who arent big on rose. I think this is the first fragrance Ive had with water lily... Winner!! Love it

Ooh this is like limperatrice, xia xiang, and insolence edt had a baby, and she grew up in boarding school, got a degree in art history, went to finishing school, and married a duke. She is understated yet gloriously beautiful. She does not remain on your skin, that would be tacky and a touch obscene. Rather than leave herself on your carnal flesh, where you can say you KNEW her, she lingers unobtrusively on your clothes ,always reminding you that one shall be gracious and delicate in all of one's activities. This is how one reflects good breeding, she reminds you, smiling demurely at you and filling your soul with essence of beauty, making you want to be like her. She's the good angel on your shoulder reminding you that ladies who button their blouses all the way up get more respect. Not too anything, just perfect. Classy but not stuffy. A work of art. One quite approves of this little gem.

Blind bought it because the bottle looked cute and it was cheap af. I am not a big fan of floral perfumes but this is so lovely. In the opening you get a hit of the rose and mandarin orange, then you are left with a gentle tuberose vanilla on the dry down. It's very sweet, gentle and creamy in a way. The lasting power makes me sad. Got 3, 4 hours at most on my skin. You need to overspray when you want it to really hit and last a bit longer on your clothes. I got it for pretty cheap so yea... I don't mind spraying more because of that beautiful opening. ;;Easy blind buy if you like sweet, floral and fruity. 7/10

Before I even opened the box i could smell it and I was in love right away. This is such a pretty and feminine floral. I most definitely get the notes of tuberose and rose as well. It softens into a beautiful and soft floral, with the tuberose still noticeable for me. This lasts about 3 hours on me and then I need to reapply but at the price of it I don't mind. I'm definitely going to get a back up bottle, as it is truly a beautiful and feminine floral scent. A very successful blind buy this is.

A very lucky blind buy! I was looking for a perfume with rhubarb note for a while, as it reminds me of our family garden when I was little, and my father who prepares the rhubarb so wonderful. I am very happy I got this scent blind at a discount, it is very beautiful! It is fruite in a way but certainly not a sugar bomb, as it combines some very fresh sweet smells like the rhubarb, pear and mandarin. The other notes lay down a beautiful soft almost powdery, flower base. Very uplifting perfume!

I can’t believe how beautiful this fragrance is. The description made me curious and I ordered it, I thought I’d like the pear and water Lilly with a tuberose sprinkle. But this is so much more than whatever I imagined. It’s very delicate, amazing dry down is creamy and vanilla shows up just a tad. Not sugary. I do find it elegant and calming.

This scent is a love for me. It's a close to the skin scent but it's long lasting. The rose is not very strong, which I like, as I am not a fan of dominant rose scents. The rhubarb stands out the most and the dry down is a subtle vanilla mixing with the musk and soft florals. A very feminine and inoffensive scent.

A gorgeous perfume, very feminine. I have both this scent and malachite and they are similar, not the same. P. Perle has a gourmandey vanilla cake lushness that carries the floral tones, whereas malachite is a more transparent clean floral. If you love one, you'll love the other.

I just picked this up after reading all of the positive reviews. It is excellent, especially given the price. I already have another backup bottle on order.

This perfume screams WOMAN, The rhubarb and the pear, oh wow...Beautiful. Can't believe I paid under $20.00 for this.

OMG! I'm in love!! Seriously, I bought this totally blind, except for the positive reviews I read here (thanks, everyone who posted). I thought I couldn't lose: it's on special offer at the Perfume Shop right now, and it seemed I was going to get a pleasant floral fragrance, with moderate sillage, making it quiet enough for daily wear. However, I didn't expect to fall in love with it. But it arrived this morning and I've been wearing it for almost seven hours now and can still smell it. It is a very feminine scent that just gets better as the fruity top notes give way to the tuberose and rose middle ones until now in the base notes a musky vanilla has developed. There is a powdery softness, which I love in my perfumes (my all-time favourites are Guerlain's l'Heure Bleue and Après l'Ondée), and whilst Perle Précieuse may not have the je ne sais quoi that is the Guerlinade, it is nevertheless an elegant, refined scent that belies its modest price point; needless to say, I've already re-ordered a stash!

Edit: I am wearing this while on vacation in Zanzibar and its really great and last long in hot weather. ——- Lets go to the juice, I really like the smell of this, Its very light and more intimate. Good for summer. I can smell the peach with fresh flowers. I can't get mandarin orange that much, I think this is perfect if its more citrusy. This is more girly submissive scent. I prefer the ''pure pearl'' more than this. This is good if you just want to smell clean and girly. Sillage : 2 spray - 2 to 3h on my skin (need to reapply) ... Stays on my clothes until the next day. Someone needs to be closer to you for them to smell this.

Reminds me of retro perfumed stationary paper, floral musky watery vibe with a hint of vanilla. Very clean and girly. You may need to overspray it a bit (around 4-5 sprays) for it to project moderately. On the weaker side of moderate longevity wise, it barely reached 3 hours on my skin. A decent starter scent, good for teens and twentysomethings who need to refresh once in a while.

A lot of lovely crispy rhubarb/violet bonbons, astringent roses, and a longlasting but more quiet woodsy vanilla after a while. This is a happy and solid construction. Floral, comfortable and joyful. Edit: white time I get more and more creamy tuberose in the mix, green and clean, but less soapy than the stuffy musk of Eternity Moment.

The packaging alone made me feel like entering a flower field in May. The scent is soft, gentle, and subtle. I love the rose as it lasts the longest. That being said, it isn't exactly a long-lasting perfume. All in all, I think it's a great place to start if you're exploring different scents and want to go for something floral.

This doesn't smell anything like Juicy Couture's signature fragrance, thank God, nor is it heavy with "cheap vanilla". I have no idea what the person below is smelling. This is a bright, sparkling fruity floral. Very fresh, lovely and wearable in the warm weather.

This smells delicious ❤️ For the price, you can't go wrong. I get lots of compliments when I wear it. There's nothing sharp or harsh about it; it's warm and inviting from the initial spray. It has a beautiful creamy quality to it that I adore.

A fresh, floral-fruity scent with tart rhubarb, soft tuberose, and a musky, soapy dry down. Light, elegant, and budget-friendly, but only if you enjoy airy white florals.

I almost blind bought this fragrance several times but for some reason always stopped short of pulling the trigger. Today I got to sample it and I'm relieved that I didn't actually purchase it blindly. It's not bad but also not really my cup of tea. The rose isn't strong enough in the floral mix which on its own is not really compelling to me in any way. Also, something in the late drydown reminds me a bit of Flower by Kenzo which I heartily dislike.

This is a beautiful and long lasting scent but not my type, too floral and the rhubarb here is overpowering. Maybe it's the rhubarb I dislike or how it's mixed with other flower notes but it's too much for my senses. I am giving it away.

I find the dry down better than the opening, it’s not bad but I can’t see myself reaching for this. I think you’ll need to be a rose/ tuberose lover, those are the notes that stand out to me. To start with it feels like it’s quite strong and then after a while it becomes a skin scent to my surprise which makes it feel more bearable to wear. The dry down is very soapy and clean.

Also a blind buy based on reviews below. So nice and fresh. Not too young, not too sweet. It doesn’t seem to do much at first, but during the day, especially in summer, it’s such a nice scent to float around. My husband doesn’t like the heavier sort of perfumes I sometimes go for, so he loves this one. It starts with lots of sweet citrus and rhubarb, then a little more vanilla and rose later on. I also bought a second bottle because it seemed to fade so much. The last few weeks I found out that in warmer weather I don’t need to reapply as much as I did in early spring. So now I love it even more. The packaging is lovely and the bottle is very simple but really chic. This would also make a great gift for someone special when you don’t know their specific taste.

I'm completely stunned by the quality of this perfume. I bought it because it was very cheap and I wanted good alternatives for small gifts and have absolutely no regrets on adding this to my collection! It resembles Idole with the touch of the rhubarb, which brings a clean and slightly powdery vibe. Some might see it as a bit more mature. I'm very glad because it's definitely a good alternative for gifting on a budget. I'm going to return soon on longevity notes but honestly, it seems to me like a very good deal anyway.

Eau de Parfum that starts off strong. Simple mix, and I smell every specific note, except the "mandarin", for which I pick up "citrus" but there is an orange-like juiciness behind the stronger notes. It's very pretty but not elegant. It's creamy like Cabotine's value priced flankers, and has "edible" impact. Rhabarberkuchen served in a sunny, casual rose garden in Germany. This parfum could fly off the shelves at Lidl or Aldi.

Perl Precieuse is a soft, subtle and fresh floral sweetened by a touch of fruit and vanilla. It's inoffensive and stays close to the skin which makes it a good choice for the office and other such settings. As Morbid 85 remarked below, Perl Precieuse is "clean and girly" - I'd say that about sums it up. Longevity isn't the best but for this price I don't mind respraying.

Tuberose, something masquerading as "rhubarb" though much sweeter + peach, with light vanilla; it's v similar to Juicy Couture's first perfume, only not so complex. Not for me but perfect for young girls first perfume etc. Edit) It's nothing to do with D&G l'Imperatrice in any Universe)
