Purple Ruby

Intoxicating cocktail of raspberries, strawberries and strong, fresh vanilla. And I mean REAL berries, and REAL vanilla pod, not "plasticky" notes that are used in so many fragrances nowadays... There's decent amount of musk and peony (and you can really distinguish this beautiful flowery note!) and thanks to that whole composition is sweet but not sickening, fruity but not artificial and juvenile. It reminds me of Ultrared by Paco Rabanne, and CH 212 Sexy in the drydown (they're similar but not copies of each other!) I love this one. For the price, it's so amazing. I can smell this for days if I happen to get it on my clothes or if I lay in bed after spraying it on. For a day or two after wearing it, I'll still get wafts of it here and there from where it clings to fabric. I initially got this because people said it could be a dupe for Lancome's La Nuit Tresor. For me this smells nothing like LNT. It smells like a less sweet Pink Sugar with hints of a realistic orange. Like the smell you get when you have to tear open an orange and pull it apart because you forgot a knife. The smell that lingers in the air and on your hands. This also has a deep brown sugar caramel smell that reminds me of Jessica Simpson's Fancy as well.

I like this one a lot. I blind bought Purple Ruby after reading the reviews here and because it was so inexpensive. Since then, I've purchased some other Pascal Morabito perfumes, including Pure Perle, Perle de Nuit, Blossom Delight, and Lovissima, all really good on their own. This opens with the fruit, the raspberry and strawberry are strong. As it goes on, I get the caramel and vanilla in the base which eventually cradles the florals, especially the peony, and the fruit from the top with a little trail of musk. This lasts quite a while with moderate sillage. I can see wearing it in spring, fall, and winter, day or night. It's sweet, powdery, and feminine.

I think of a big bowl of strawberries sprinkled with powdered sugar in a room full of delicate sweet flowers where everything is colored pink. Heaven for some, hell for others. Happily for me I am in the former category, and better still this fragrance costs next to nothing and lasts all day. Just a moment ago someone leaned into me and said "mmm, you smell like strawberries" in a clearly approving way. Strawberries, yes, but also vanilla/caramel and very soft florals. Beautiful.

Amazing perfume very long lasting extremely sweet umm very rich and I love it I feel super sexi and powerful I get a lot of compliments and the price is super cheap what else can I ask

Another of my blind buy bargains, 95 ml for about 18€. I could not say no to that, and the content in the bottle was a pleasant surprise. This is, as some other reviewers have pointed out a very sweet scent, so if that is not your thing, this one is not for you. It is sweet, creamy and quite young I would say. I could picture a teen wearing it, but at the same time it is also mature enough for some one slightly older. The notes that are most prominent for me are the berries and the caramel, followed by the vanilla and some musk. Not that complex, but a nice, sweet and warming scent. Something for the cooler month for sure. As another reviewer mentioned, it is a bit like a less spicy version of 212 Sexy. I pretty much agree on that. For being such an affordable scent I did not expect much, but I think the longevity is amazing! This is one of the perfumes in my collection that lasts all day. It is also very strong and a little goes a long way. All in all, very good for the price. Maybe a bit too sweet for my taste to wear every day, but it is nice to use now and then. The small red crystal beads inside the bottle is a fun detail in the design.

Caramel and strawberry ! It ́s like a creamy dessert. So sweet and fruity ! A sister of Amor Amor In a Flash or Fancy - Jessica Simpson. I love it, as I'm in love with most of Morabito perfumes (Pluie de perles, Perle précieuse, Perle pour elle, Pure perle, Lady in red......). They are excellent, delicate, feminine, sweet. Always well balanced. Excellent lasting power. I had many compliments with all these fragrances.

I find this perfume a GREAT dupe for so many high-end perfumes even with a better quality!! Better than « Tresor Midnight Rose » from Lancôme, but maybe sweeter! & a waaaay better than « Emporio Armani Because It’s You »! For the price, I give it 9/10

Fruity gourmand. It's pretty unisex to my nose.

This is very similar to Delina after 10-15 minutes of spraying. The strawberry note replaces the rhubarb but it is precisely the latter which makes Delina all the more interesting. Otherwise it would be just another designer scent, albeit a superior qualitative one. It projects really well and lasts really long ( I tested it on my hand and can still smell it after having washed my hands about four or more times by now). It's powdery, fruity, a nice feminine scent. I did not buy it because I already own Delina and that is enough fruity-floral feminine already. If it weren't for the rhubarb note, Delina would just not be appealing, so both are redundant really. Oh yes, it retailed for 13 euros...!

see i usually go for musky, earthy etc side perfumes but this was a gift from someone. yep, i am not for floral, sweety, those kinda perfumes however i think it's not bad, it's alright. imma rate it like a 5/10. yh man considering it was a gift n they don't know my selections, i'd say not a bad scent. just not my type. either way it's okay-ish. would wear it in my house cuz it smells good yh, not bad or too bland. would only recommend if u like them sunny, floraly-ish scents.

I really like sweet, fruity, fun gourmands. I have no qualms with wearing things that are categorized as teen fragrances even though I'm 34. Sometimes smelling like strawberries and caramel and funfairs is all I want, at other times I might chose something more serious. But this is just not it. Purple Ruby? More like purple plastic jewel or Ring Pop. It reminds me of something very specific: When I was 8 I traveled to Florida with my parents. American malls really had some stuff I had never seen in Germany in my short life. One of these novel things I bought with my pocket money was a strawberry scented glitter nail polish. And this perfume smells just like that nail polish when it had dried (I still have the old bottle!). Sweet, artificial strawberries on a harsh, synthetic, alcohol-like base. There are moments when it gets more bearable, when the gourmand notes of vanilla and caramel override the nail polish vibe, and then it smells pleasant enough, albeit in a nostalgic "guilty pleasure" way. But why wait for that? There are many sweet berry scents on the market that are either closer to nature or have a more enjoyable plastic vibe, more like Barbie dolls or scented erasers. Strawberry nail polish from the 90s is a funny memory, but not what I'd want to wear. It's the scratchy kind of synthetic scent that I just don't like. To me this is not similar to any designer fragrance, neither any Lancôme nor Burberry Her, for sure not like Delina and also not as deliciously caramelly as Jessica Simpson's Fancy. It's firmly in the cheapie realm and I think you can do better even for 12 €.

This one is so synthetic in the opening and it stays for quite a bit of time. It’s sweet, fruity and floral... and I kind of like it, but not really. I’m still not sure about it. Can’t wait too see how it changes with the seasons. Edit: I’ve been trying this one out a bit now and it has transformed a little, it’s not as synthetic anymore (but still synthetic). Now I get a carmel, vanilla and fruity scent. I like it a bit more then I did at first but i just dont gravitate towards it at all 😕🤷🏻 Sold it!

So overwhelmingly sweet and sticky, to the point of being sickly. Extremely sweet caramel and raspberry combo, with some hint of strawberry. Really lack freshness. Instant headache in a bottle. Cloying... Bottle very cheap-looking too... Do not recommend..

Read the reviews and saw the scent notes and was really excited to try this out - unfortunately to me, it just is simply too sweet and plain.

Hmm I don’t really like this it’s just smells very sharp somehow and I love sweet fruity gourmands usually but not in that case. A no for me

Not to offend anyone out there who likes this but to me it smells like DayQuil. Thick, sweet and medicinal. Its awful.

I should have taken LuckyMommy's review seriously. This is one super-synthetic mess of a perfume. The strawberry & raspberry notes DOMINATE the opening and practically the rest of the dry down. They are screechy and intensely artificial. For comparison, the fruits in the opening in 'Purple Ruby' are a cloying version of raspberries in Aquolina's 'Pink Sugar'. Pair that with the overly-sugary strawberries from The Body Shop's 'Strawberry EDT'. I usually love synthetic perfumes, most of my collection consists of them. However 'Purple Ruby' is not what I expected and exceeds my tolerance for artificial scents...It reminds me of cheap scented hairsprays and body lotions. No this does not smell anything like 'Bonbon', 'Delina', 'LVEB', 'Midnight Rose' or any of the 'La Nuit Tresors'. Which I own, have tried or have official testers of. If anything this reminds me most of 'Pink Sugar'! But a much cheaper, cloyingly-synthetic version. A total blind-buy fail for me. Verdict: Not a safe blind buy if you hate synthetic perfumes. Not a dupe for high-end designer perfumes. Side note: 'Grey Sapphire' from Pascal Morabito is much smoother, less artificial and actually pleasant on the skin.

As a lover of Lancome La Nuit Tresor (edp, edt, and la folie) I blind bought this based on the comparisons and the cheap price. I definitely see the similarities but the fruit note and sweetness here is definitely strawberry vs the litchi note in la nuit edp. I'd say this is most similar to nuit tresor edt because it doesn't have the depth of the base notes in the edp or la folie. I like it for the price. I wouldn't pay more for it and still value my nuit tresor's but this is a great dupe if you don't want to spend the extra money for the Lancomes. I disagree with the negative comments about the bottle. I don't know what people expect from a $20 perfume but that cap is real wood and the bottle is nice for the price.

At first when I bought this I wasn't impressed, it smelled like something synthetic and I felt it was all over the place. But now on me, this smells like a mild and less bitter version of La Vie Est Belle. It's sweet, soft and gentle. That is after letting it mature for a long time. La Vie Est Belle is one that I have a love/hate relationship with, I like it, yet it gives me headaches and sometimes makes me nauseous. I am happy to say that Purple Ruby doesn't do any of that. It's a lot milder, so that is likely why. It won't be my signature or anything, but I will keep it as it's a lovely inoffensive scent.

First sniff on a piece of paper : OK, i can smell the strawberry, raspberry and caramel. Sweet and fruity enough but not overly sweet. I like it. Then i bought it. What can i smell now is a bit different than before. I only detect something synthetic. Not so caramel-y :( It's not good at first spray, but hey, the drydown is quite comforting. It's so close to the skin scent but better. Soft, powdery and sweet. It's a young and casual scent. Longevity is moderate, but the base notes stay all day! Love it. The price is affordable.

Statement 1 : I'm a man. Statement 2 : A female friend gaves me half a bottle for my collection of bottles... Well... Before exposing it, I'll empty it for sure ! It's feminine ? Nevermind, to me, a perfume have to please you before paying attention to what gender it's destined. I love red fruits smell, so I don't care about the marketing gender. Why I'm not ashamed to wear this ? Because it reminds me one of my fav, Rochas MAN (you know, MAN) but more natural and sweet.

reading those notes in the perfume pyramid, i should be in love with this fragrance but who can tell? i cant hardly smell anything after literally dousing myself in the stuff. is pascal morabito the equivalent of avon and nobody told me? have i just been sucked into blind buying a bloody avon perfume? shame on me is all i can say... p.s. the bottle is ok. its a nice heavy cube and the rubies are cute but the fake wooden lid is just plain awful.

I got my bottle from TJ Maxx originally about 5+ years ago and I am glad I did. To me this fragrance is a fruity floral scent that seems to combine pomegranate with caramel Even though none of those notes are listed. It has definite presence and even a touch of smokiness as well even though that note is not listed either as well. This fragrance also reminds me of Jessica Simpson Fancy in a way, imho.

I love ❤ everything about this fragrance. Strawberries and caramel blend so well together along with the peony and the gardenia is barely there but.. 10 out of 10 for me!

Blind bought this after seeing gushing reviews and comparisons with gourmands I love. Big mistake. This smells plasticky and very unpleasant. Also I get a hint of puke...

Oh, don't believe the good youtube reviews for this one. This smells like liquid plastic. Nothing fruity at all!
