Sultan Blanc

Very beautiful and fresh, well done combo of pepper, fig and violet with an accord of bergamot ant vetiver. Still it is not similar to Un Jardin en Méditerranée by Hermes for my nose even this fragrance is my old never ending love. Give it a try if you can, highly recommended.

For fig lovers. Sultan Blanc is a beautiful, fresh, earthy fig perfume. Decent performance. Reminds me a bit of Byredo’s Another 13 but not as “molecular”. More body. Great value. Had to order from France.

I went to a spa in Thailand once, which had oolong tea, a herbal detox sauna, and lots of citronella incense candles to keep mosquitos away (they smell medicinal, not like regular incense). This perfume smells exactly like that spa, though not specifically like any of those things. Because of the nostalgia it brings me I am very happy with my purchase, but others who don't have those associations might think there was a certain herbal bug spray element to this. I can't pick out the individual notes, I'm not getting any fig, and to me it does not resemble Molinard Figue (EDP), which is what I bought it for. Still, I like it, it's got a sort of humid lemongrassy vibe, while not really smelling of lemongrass. I don't think it lasts very long. Update: Decided that while I quite like the smell, it's not actually something I want to smell like. Will wait for warmer weather to see if it fares better, or use it as room spray.

Sultan Blanc is a perfume suitable for spring and summer. It has a fresh opening of bergamot supported by a cool vetiver that also gives it a slightly woody touch. Violet and musk, which are not evident as such, make it slightly powdery. But the dominant note is that of figs, fresh, milky, not yet ripe, a very realistic note. It seems to me that he is a cousin of IF Frapin, with whom he has similarities. But that one is much creamier and more suitable for cold days. The longevity is good, it projects beautifully, it has assets that recommend it.
