Sultan Or

This is like a powder puff of sweet skin-like pastel yellow vanilla, almost like duckling down fluff. Although it doesn’t seem to project far on first thoughts it hangs beautifully in the air. When I sniff closer that’s when I get the alien-esque, slight bubble-gum tuberose. I’m not a big fan of any facet of tuberose but I think in this case the sum of this perfume is better than its parts and I still really like it. As it dries slightly it still maintains that translucent yet dense quality - like seeing through whisps of smoke/fog that I quite enjoy. It makes me feel like this would be difficult to overspray. All in all I do enjoy this - there are some similarities to opulent red but I prefer this 1000% more as I do detect that fuzzy warm benzoin, and orange blossom has been dialled all the way up. 7.5/10 Update: this is such a wearable, yellow floral, dandelion pollen powder puff kind of fragrance that is perfect in the sun. I reached for this a lot more than I thought and would and has been one of the perfumes that’s making me begin to reconsider my hatred of tuberose. I still dislike basically all iterations of tuberose however I am considering maybe I’m fine when it’s composed it a very specific way. I feel like if it finishes I might even replace it. 9/10

I blind bought this fragrance, I got it for a great price on sale and I liked the sound of the notes so I took a chance. I didn't even think of looking it up here on fragrantica - which I always do before I buy - I just bought it because the price couldn't be beat. I can't get over how much I love this fragrance! What thrilled me especially is its' likeness to Poeme (I see that I'm not the only one who thinks that!). It doesn't smell identical, it's definitely a fragrance in it's own right, not a knock-off. I don't find it similar to Classique (which is another one of my favorites, I'm a 90s fragrance girl at heart) although I would easily put it in the same fragrance family, and if you love Classique, you probably (at the very least) like Sultan Or. It's very tuberose and ylang ylang heavy on me, and I also get a lot of amber and vanilla. It's such a delicious, sweet floral! I wear this all year round, yes, even in summer. It manages to smell both cheerful and seductive at the same time and it always puts me in a great mood. It's a must try if you like like classic 90s fragrances like Poeme, Classique and Armani Giò!

This is SO LOVELY. Every notes is well balance, gentle, elegant and timeless. Non of the notes is running to the front top screaming "is vanilla" "is citrus". No such things. So hard to describe the perfume content. You need to get one on hand to smell it. You get some mild hidden spice, come with a unique mix of yellow and white flower. Definitely, no pink red flower involve. YOU CAN'T SMELL ANY ALCOHOL from the first spray for a moderate perfume like this! The base note vanilla and amber play a very mild soft role behind the yellow and white flower, some touch of mild spice is in here. Can't tell is ginger but I don't get any cinnamon at all. Is a great match and a touch of uniqueness with beautiful and elegant scent. When come to the dry down. Is a dry powdery but is elegant classic powdery. This is one of my TOP3 from now on! I want to praise the bottle design! Even thought I had Sultan Noir (black cap). But I love this series Sultan bottle. The bottle Cap design match the bottle and the sprayer is high quality. This perfume price is affordable for the scent and the bottle design.

Wow! Wow! Ok this starts off like a grape tuberose! I wish that lasted throughout but this was still a super successful blind buy!! Why? This is a combo of every fav tuberose perfume I’ve ever loved before with a lot of orange blossom. It’s first day wearing but for $20 I can’t complain! I smell good! This is a combo of: libre intense without lavender, my way, paradoxe, Valentino etc etc etc you get it! Yes it’s the typical crowd pleasing orange blossom tuberose maybe? Some vanilla scent..for a steal. Sometimes? That’s all I need! I also IMMEDIATELY thought of poison (my all time fav) but imagine that without the plum? the first thirty minutes lol anyway! My only issue is longevity. But this is just a good one to have around on the days you don’t want to use the good stuff. It’s also great for layering with scents that are super woody or spicy or scents that you feel may be too masculine it fems them up So I would rather buy this for $20 than all the basic perfumes I mentioned above for $100! Just get this instead honestly and save the good one for special ocsssions!

Really like this one. I bought three of Pascal Morabito scents . this by far is my favorite. I have the Rouge, Noir, and the Or .. I’m not sure when baccarat rouge 540 was produced, but the rouge is a dead ringer for it .. this Or is a Great Scent. i’m not sure what it reminds me of . something close to alien but quiet. I can smell Jasmine in this, but subdued. A bit of ginger. something slightly powdery, but not much of it. Citrus but not over bearing.. Smelled orange blossom in the opening and has continued throughout the dry down.. continues to be citrusy/floral on the dry down.. the orange blossom remains constant. definite white floral with citrus . Just very well blended. As for the longevity, I really don’t know yet. maybe have to come back and comment . Right now,this one’s a winner for me..

For 12 euro, this French fragrance is a real bargain. On my skin, it opens a bit soapy but in the same time, I get something bubbly, like champagne or wine spritzer. Flowers, very light citrus and amber and vanilla in the dry down. And a hint of ginger as well. Good longevity and projection. Edit Nov. 5, 2023: No more soapy opening, just pure golden flowers, amber, vanilla, a hint of ginger and the same bubbly champagne or wine spritzer. Initial blast gives massive sillage, but it mellows down a few minutes later. Still good longevity, about 5-6 hours on my skin. It doesn't smell cheap at all, athough it is a cheap (cost-wise) French fragrance compared to others from more notorious houses.

I wanted to buy this from allbeauty but they ran out of it and tried ordering it on ebay or amazon however I was having second thoughts as PM scents are a bit hit or miss with me even if I like all the notes. Lol. Went to TKMAXX today and found this gem along with Sultan Rose as well so I bought them both! (Just bought Hermes Caleche and Armani Pivoine Shouzhou). Scent addict!!! This is a very lovely everyday wear. It smells like your walking on a spring day with fresh grass and flowers. I definitely have smelled this scent from a different high end brand, I have totally forgotten which one (too many sniffs and whiffs). Don’t pass on this frag! Definitely worth it!

When this perfume arrived, I sprayed it, sniffed it, and immediately reminded of Alien Muegler. One minute later, oh it’s Poeme or JPG Classique, then 5 sec later it resembled Varensia White, Marquiz, and a bit of Fracas. Yes, Sultan Or is ALL OF THEM, and I love them all. Means, this perfume is a sweet tuberose bomb that contains a huge amount of jasmine and orange blossoms while the base itself is an amber heaven. Also means that this perfume has a vintage character in it. So lovely! The price is insanely affordable given to its quality and the joy this perfume could bring to you. Longevity is moderate to low tho.

It's a perfume that won't fet you any 'wow! you smell amazing' the first time you wear it, nor second or third, but at some point, if this is going to be your go-to scent, someone will tell you all about how you always smell so nice Not a head turner, nothing groundbreaking, but just sooooo pleasant. Great perfume to have when you want something easy and rather sweet Unfortunetely, it doesn't last on my skin more than 2 hours :(

This is absolutely one of my favorite fragrances... more so than some of the more expensive bottles I have. It is the softest orange blossom, almost bubble gum like. You get soft puffs of jasmine and ylang ylang and [maybe] a subtle pinch of cinnamon. Kayali's Vanilla Candy Rock Sugar comes to mind if I can think of anything that remotely resembles this. Just lovely!

Soapy, champagne-like Poeme. Very bright and citrus forward opening, very effervescent. Becomes a vanillic cloud of white florals & ylang with a teeny hint of spice. I can see the Classique comparisons as well, just lighter and fresher. Perfect all year, I think you can get away with this in the hottest summer months. Nice arms' length projection.

Wow! This is a lovely fragrance. To me, it's vintage BUT with a bit more freshness. Like Poeme, but I find it a tad sweeter and more animatic. I think this would make a pleasant early fall fragrance. WARNING! Don't overspray! I did and I got a bit of a headache. It is a bit cloying

Oh my goodness ! This smells so good .. this is what I was hoping Poeme would smell like , but I just couldn’t wear it ! Sultan Or has such a gentle tuberose , I love how it’s blended with the citrus and other flowers . Sweet but not too sweet ! I’m so happy I have it ! 🥰

I love it. It's an all purpose perfume. I love Gaultier Classique and Arome d'Arthes, and Sultan Or is similar. The Jeanne Arthes was a cheapie gem now impossible to find anywhere in the world. 😥 19/10 - I wear this often. Cheap and lovely. Go figure.

It's orange blossom! Thats it. Great price! Could last longer. Would buy this before id spend hundreds on the niche versions it all the same orange blossom is orange blossom. Very nice.

All the rave reviews are right. This is a beautiful fragrance with good performance and it is worth much more than the bargain price tag.

Gorgeous, criminally underrated and could easily be Organza extreme. My husband was not a fan, but mmm I love.

This is my second Pascal Morabito scent. I already have, and adore, the darker, boozier and richer Sultan Noir. I have found that PM scents are worth-a-go cheapies that are complex and high quality. Definitely impressed with this house. Sultan Or is a very unusual scent, hard to describe. My first thought just sniffing the bottle is it smells like Bubblicious Original bubble gum or Bubble Yum, the pink stuff, but in a grown up and sophisticated way. Cotton candy, fluffy, not too complicated. When it warms on the skin, the florals deepen, I do detect plenty of fresh jasmine, and this frag stays sweet and innocent and bubble-gummy until the drydown, when it gets more deeply sweet. However, once it's resting on the base notes, it does a little trick and turns toasty. Then you'll get a lot of the ginger, cinnamon and almost a brown sugar note. It's not cloying, but would not be enjoyed by those who avoid sweet scents. Could be worn by young or mature, but it's a scent more on the younger side to my nose, young meaning best for under age 50, sweet enough to be teen girl approved, but not baking sweets sugary. For those who dislike white florals, this one isn't screechy at all. It does not scream floral. For an "orange blossom" scent, the orange is subdued, not sharp or bitter orange. It's like sweet orange sherbert or a creamsicle. The cinnamon and ginger are present to lighten the composition and give it depth, creating an airy feeling. Longevity is really good. I tested it on a hot, humid evening jog (don't ask why, more like why not). It stayed on my skin through damp and sweat and left a lingering sweetness. Definitely lasts, moderate sillage. Right now this one is a strong like for me. Easy, dumb reach, cheap and cheerful, though not cheap smelling, can be oversprayed guilt-free. Perfect for a Spring, transitioning to Summer scent. You won't turn heads with this, but you will smell nice. Office approved, it's not too heavy or over the top. Pleasant little scent bubble. When it runs out, I don't find it second bottle worthy, but I am happy to have it in my collection.

Sultan Or is a soft and pretty orange blossom amber, with some ginger thrown in for additional warmth. It's very much in the same genre as Reem Acra, but softer and a little sweeter, due to the vanilla and cinnamon. Reem Acra is a tad sharper and not as sweet, and has an additional patchouli note (I love patchouli). But they're still really similar, in my opinion, because both perfumes have tons of orange blossom and ginger (they also share a cedar note, but I can't say I detect much, as too much cedar can be a problem for me). Ultimately, I prefer the sharper, more patchouli-heavy Reem Acra to the softer, more vanilla-sweet Sultan Or, but they're both lovely perfumes if you're in search of a warm, orange blossom/ginger. Incidentally, I find Reem Acra to smell quite similar to JPGaultier Classique, but maybe I'm crazy. I'd be curious to do a side-by-side of Sultan Or and Classique, too, but I can't find my sample... By the way, I can understand the comparisons of Poeme from Sultan Or, because they share a sweet and warm drydown. However, their openings are very different, and Poeme is so centered around fruity apricots (or maybe osmanthus?), while Sultan Or is not fruity at all. Poeme has an additional aldehydic soapiness that elevates it into a more formal register than Sultan Or. But I could see how if you like one, you'll enjoy the other.

My partner and I have been collecting fragrance bottles, travel sprays, and many samples for two years now. I haven't smelled everything on the above "This perfume reminds me of" list for Sultan Or. But I added two fragrances to the list just now. The two I added are more half-siblings than identical twins. But Sultan Or reminds me of Prada La Femme, which is punchier due to the spicy-woody base, and Armani Prive Rouge Malachite, which is more modern due to the benzoin, pink pepper and suade undertones. But I prefer the simplicity of the Sultan Or's tropical floral amber, which to me is uncomplicated by a discordant base. It's smoother and more linear, as I've learned I prefer with yellow tropical floral fragrances. Very nice. I gifted my Prada La Femme. And after trying a sample of Prive Rouge Malachite, I won't need a full bottle of that. I'm happy with my super affordable Sultan Or... which I see that others think smells "expensive." 🦋🧡🦋
