Premiere Danse

I love this perfume! I met the perfumer and he gave me a sample. He's so passionate about his work. All 4 perfumes are very fine and well-made and all different. Première danse is the one the mostly appealed to my likes. It should be the capture of an emotional moment of the first ball of a girl in society, especially about the grand European first balls. Perfume is always so personal. Honestly I would have imagined a different setting, because this perfume is quite strongly woody, almost leathery and in my vision it exudes luxury items and poetical landscapes (put together!), like a romantic horse ride in a beautiful countryside. It's a grown up fierceful scent with a very gentle floral romantic touch. The labdanum is very noticeable yet not all-covering. The ambery edge keeps it rounded and velvety. The list shows white musk, but I could not detect it, not in the usual form that white musk shows up in most perfumes. Good sillage and great longevity on skin. I love it.

I love this fruity, floral, woody little number! It's so easy to wear, rose is not listed in the notes pyramid just floral notes but i sense a well behaved yet jammy which is most probably the berry note. I got this for a reduced price too which sweetened the deal ( pardon the pun). The silage is good and longevity is average for me but it's one I can wear day or night, very happy with my purchase.

There is a serene beauty to Premiere Danse that immediately calms me. It’s pretty, fruity and fully-fledged, with top, middle and base notes which help flesh it out, however, for me the appeal is in the refrained manner in which all the ingredients are used. Yes, there are fruits, but not so much that it smells like a tween designer scent. Yes, there are woods but not in that ‘male only’ niche kind of way. There is some basey elements, but these too are used with restraint. I can really REALLY appreciate this, as it lends itself to approachability and usability. I’m not head-over-heels in love with it, truth be told, but I definitely feel like I need to try it again, possibly live in it. ***EDIT*** On my second go-around, and I have come to the decision to let this one pass, unfortunately... It is indeed a wonderfully pleasant scent, and one that I just CANNOT fault in ANY way, it's just that it reminds me too much of other scents... The woodsyness is something out of the Nasomatto playbook -- I'm thinking Duro and possibly another. The fruitiness I get is from both Barrel (by MinNY) and Kerosene's 'Sacred Memory', along with a warm resin, quite similar to the one used in a few Tom Fords -- Amber Absolute and Tobacco Oud, for example. So, on the whole, it is indeed something I could get behind, but to source it, pay money for it, and add it to my wardrobe, well, I couldn't see myself reaching for it more than a few times a year, if that... I could happily wear it, though. And yes, I very much recommend this one...

It's a nice perfume. Perfect for a day time, but it's a bit too girly and innocent to my liking, although this is exactly what promised by its name.
