Design for Men

While some may think this is not so great, I really like; similar to Iceberg PH, plus a slight clean, citrusy, spicy scent, and I'm getting better performance with Design. Recommend buying a mini to test drive. UPDATE 12.12.25 - My 7.5 ml mini has lasted me a while, but each time I wear it, I consider going full-sized bottle. Still haven't pulled the trigger and may just keep buyin' minis as they're plentiful and inexpensive. UPDATE 1.17.26 - Purchased a 75% full 50 ml bottle. UPDATE 2.22.26 - Purchased a 60% full 100 ml bottle. TIPS: Only purchase "Paul Sebastian, Ocean, NJ" and the juice should have as little color as possible, clear being the freshest, most accurate, pleasant scent.

Opens with A sharp citrus vibe to it, but that fads away quick and reviles a very nice fresh Manly smell. As stated, yes it's A Huge bang for your dollar!! I highly recommend that any collector buy this. Put Design in A Bond #9 Bottle, and then give it some fancy Metro name followed by a park or square and it would sell for $250 A bottle! I know I will call it Metro Park!! Scent 7/10 Value 10/10

This is a fragrance that kind of takes you by surprise on the initial spray. Very citrus, a bit strong on the alcohol blast... and for many people this is where it stops and dies in their opinion of it. Just try wearing it another hour or so and it really begins to shine, at least on me it starts morphing, and you catch different glimpses of it at different stages. But in the end it is a very addicting oak-moss, lavender, amber, with a bit of nose tingling cedar. Starts citrus fruity and ends warm with a little bite. And, unless they have changed the formulation, I found it to last the entire day with inquiries as to what I am wearing, even at the end of the day.

I quite like this as a fresh scent with some staying power. The top notes of lavender, citrus (bergamot and grapefruit for sure, possibly others) and juniper berries blend with some sharp fresh ginger and other spices in the mid notes, then the cedar, oakmoss and musk notes of the base fade in subtly. The component notes have some similarities with Cartier's Pasha, and to my nose they belong to the same family --- spicy fresh scents that straddle the line between a fresh chypre and a citrus fantasy. It's more of a "feel-good" scent than one to make a bold statement, but I enjoy having it in my collection and wearing it on warm days.

Grapefruit-heavy scent that is certainly for warm weather. I had to re-apply multiple times in one day. I bought this thinking it would have the lasting power of Paul Sebastian PS. Not even close. A pleasant scent, but a weak one.

Every time I wear Design I get a lot of compliments. I guess it depends on how it reacts to your body chemistry. Just out of curiosity, if you dislike it so much, why did you buy it?

Got a small bottle to test, I like it but I don't love it. It's just ok, will not be buying a big bottle.

I mistakenly bought this instead of Casual. Very fruity, floral and very feminine. I had to check twice to make sure I didn't actually buy the women's version. I "might" try this again, but, I doubt it. Update: I'm never one for giving a scent only one chance as it tends to matter what your mood is, weather, time of day, etc.... On second go around, this is a fascinating scent. It is very odd in that it is constantly evolving. Putting it on, I was almost ready to wash it off as there so much discordant notes going on...then a few minutes later I smelled nothing at all, so I wasn't going to worry about it.....then 10 minutes later something started to happen. Every few seconds, the scent started changing, evolving, mutating. Fir, amber, roses, soap, tangerine, eucalyptus, pine, tobacco, etc... constantly changing with body temperature and humidity. I've never seen anything like it...changing a few times, yes....but this has been 4+ hours and it's still changing! It's obvious that Paul Sebastian knows a thing or two about fragrances. I could definitely see myself wearing this while working and it would be probably just as good on formal occasions. I'm still not 100% convinced about this one, but, I'm willing to give it a few more chances.

I'm coming to realize that I simply love 90s men's fragrances--Acqua di Gio edt, Drakkar Noir, Curve, Platinum Egoist, Lemale, Heritage, Declaration, and now this fruity-mossy-ambery men's frag, PS Design. I'm not saying I like this one as much as the others I mentioned, but these 90's fragrances have obviously been around for decades--and likely have been reformulated--and yet they still have more magic than most post-2010 releases, imo. I'm sampling PS Design right now and it really does take you on a fragrance journey. It's not going to be mass appealing and I doubt it'll pull compliments from the younger demo, but if you have an experienced nose and you wear fragrance for yourself you might give the small sample size a try.

This is what is called a "smell," not a fragrance. It opens with a thin chemical grapefruit note, followed by an impossibly soapy muguet. Your mother angrily washing your mouth out, unceremoniously delivered in a 45-cent bottle.

The smell of shampoo. Though it is not listed it was known as the first fragrance to harness the note of Earl Gray Tea, that is the opening and mid note that dominates this fragrance.
