Portrait for Women

Soft pastel blues and subtle greens melt to create this dreamy floral beauty. The smell of an ocean breeze: sweet, warm and aromatic; a little spicy, a little fruity, a little citrusey. Fragile beauty: a little vain, a little ambitious, a little shalow, a little frivolous; pleasant, but nothing out of the ordinary though ...Lasting power and sillage is too soft to impress. I wish she has more character, more buoyancy. However, SOME LIKE IT QUIET. Edit: This beauty grows on me. I love her subtle charm and de-stressing balsamic qualities. She clings to my skin amorously. Thanks Heavens, it's mutual !

At first I thought I was mistakenly smelling some kind of chinese medicine. It was so, soooooo spicy & strong. I was very disappointed. However, after a couple of hours, I suddenly sensed there was some nice, soft, beautiful scent around myself. It was what I hated that morning! Very weird, but I started to love it! I don't understand why there are only a few people who "love" this fragrance. This is absolutely gorgeous!

This one is my favorite of the brand .Very intimate and with nice and fresh base,green and flowery middle and georges pastel calmy dry down...Really well crafted and expencive smelling fragrance.I think that all folks still thinking scents from CLEAN smeling fresh,personally I do not,must test this one .Portrait can become You second skin be spryed after You taked shower ,no doubt...Very good ,unusual little wonder...

I love the bottle- minimalistic and elegant. As a person who loves roses I adore this spicy scent with a great, real, fresh rose petals smell. It grows on me and the longer I wear it the more convincing it is. Adorable! Great zen scent for the night, too, if like me you fight insomnia.

The bottle is so beautiful, if only the fragrance matched up! Smells a bit like a florist shop on me and longevity isn't very good. I so desperately want to love this though for the gorgeous bottle! I will keep testing!

I have tried it yesterday and at first I could smell very nice and feminine scent, mostly floral with a hint of cardamom and peach. Then after about one hour after admiring it I ́ve realized the reason why I like it. It smells like my husband :). He wears Hugo Boss No6 and this Paul Smith reminds me it a lot. But when I spray the Hugo on my skin, I can ́t bare it, it gives me headache - but this Smith is different. IMO Portrait is the masculine scent made for feminine skin and for me it isn ́t green at all, I find it warm and spicy, the dry down is more peach and myrrh on my skin. But I ́m not sure if I will buy it, cos I don ́t know the opinion of my husband - if he likes it :). The other thing to discuss is the bottle. I love it, but it definitely doesn ́t suit to this fragrance. If I see this bottle, I imagine powdery scent or something feminine, not such unisex stuf.

I received a sample of this in a swap and didn't pay too much attention to it at first...sprayed once, sprayed twice...nice but nothing special...so I though...Portrait is a fragrance that needs several test sessions to understand and appreciate it. It doesn't seem memorable at first, but after a while the blackberry and green notes started to shine. Compared to other recent releases I think this one is refreshingly different. The blackberry isn't sweet but rather fresh, herbal and together with Cardamom very natural smelling. On skin the longevity is average, so is the projection, but I found that Portrait lasts much longer on clothes. To my nose this perfume is a nice departure from my usual floral-fruity spring favourites and well worth a place in my wardrobe.

I'm not sure about this, it smells a bit chemically at first and then you wait for something to appear. Then it does which is reminiscent of one of the Estee Lauder fragrances only watered down. It's not unpleasant it's flowery with a hint of blackcurrant but it's nothing special. It smells like a 'perfume' but to distinguish it from anything else would be difficult. It's feminine and not unpleasant but nothing special either. I love Paul Smith 'Rose' and was disappointed with this I'm afraid :( The advertising is good and the story behind it and it's a pity the fragrance didn't back it up.

I bought on a whim. It most reminds me of 'Si Lolita' with its woodiness. It is an intimate fragrance and dries down to a lovely lingerie scent, but it's too little, too late, too generic. There are a great many fragrances in the same price range (Gres, Andre Courreges, Balmain) that are inexpensive and truly worth the dollars. No to this one.
