Oro

Such a missed opportunity. This one really should have been marketed as unisex...if not just for men altogether. I anticipated that the reviews here were negative not because this is an unpleasant smell...but because it is not society's expectation of feminine. And upon smelling it...I think I was right on the money. This is beautiful. But it has got a STRONG character. It is not for the faint of heart. It is a spiced-floral-vanilla type of smell. It's unique. It's definitely masculine. I love it. Matter of fact...quick story. My Mother loves perfumes too. So a lot of the time when I get a new perfume, I go to her house if I'm already wearing one for the day...and use her as my guinea pig and spray it on her wrist to assess. And that's exactly what I did when I received it this past weekend. And even she loves it. She was astonished when I told her 90% of the reviews that I found were negative. She was like "Why?!" Lol. I'm writing this review to you men out there too. Most definitely cologne-territory. Men should be buying this too. It's really an awesome fragrance...just has a bad reputation because since it was marketed for women...it's women that are buying it and not liking it because of it's blatant strong, masculine scent. If this were MADE for men...the love/like/dislike bars above would be a whole different story. Once again I say...missed opportunity. This could've been much more successful if it were marketed as unisex and more men got a hold of it. I also love the title and packaging. Bold just like the juice. And "Oro" means gold in Spanish for any of you who didn't know. So I wasn't expecting a dainty floral bouquet. This easily gets a 7.5/10 from me. An easy like. Thumbs up Paulina.

I've been eyeing this for a while. I tend to always love "female" perfumes that are reviewed as being too masculine for a lot of women's taste. Some examples being Kim Kardashian "Gold," and Fergie's "Viva." You can now get a 1 ounce bottle on Ebay for like $8 so I figured why not? So I just ordered this. I'll be back in 5-7 days with a review. I actually have a feeling I'm really gonna like this one.

I have this and is really different from the others celebrity scents,a little bit masculine (maybe tabacco),i get sandalwood at the drydown,the staying power is quite bad like 3 hours...

I do not like the initial whiff. At first spray I am immediatly taken back to the 90s with cheap Avon perfumes I associate with grandmothers. I decided to spray it on my arm anyway and ran some errands. The sillage is nothing and is definetly an intimate smell. I think 10 years ago this would have been marketed as a men's cologne. On me, after it dried down I definitely got the spicy notes which I love and the floral allows it to not be too masculine for me. I think it is casual, something to wear with jeans and a t-shirt year-round. I can see why it is not reviewed well. Most celebrity scents are designed for the masses and this is not a scent that will appeal to the majority of women for themselves. I also could see this being good for layering. I think in the summer I will add a body spray with some similar notes when wearing this to brighten it up a bit.

On me, Oro is a warm floral with heavy citrus notes. The peppery accent is quite light, and the vanilla and coffee notes are very subdued (I wish these last three notes were stronger.) In all, it's a very average scent - it doesn't offend, but it doesn't WOW me, either. I think this will make a nice "any day" kind of scent. Added: After wearing this a few times, my nose has adjusted to the pepper in this scent, and now I find that it's probably as strong as the floral and citrus. It works better sprayed on my clothes than on my skin, where the more subtle notes disappear too quickly.

The top is a fresh citrus floral. There's a little plastic (jeez, what do they use that makes that smell?) but it's not pronounced like some other inexpensive scents. The citrus does seem to hang around for quite awhile and it gets more peppery into the drydown. There does seem to be a slightly masculine tone to it for some reason but this works in warmer weather as it's not overly sweet or cloying. It actually reminds me of Liz quite a bit but with citrus instead of pear and melon. All in all, it's just an ok offering but nothing to rave about.

I had this for a while. It's quite interersting and different from the usual celebrity scents. It's more spicy but also aquatic. I think the pepper comes out strongly. For me the aquatic note was too strong, since I do not like aquatics so much.

This one comes on strong. Reminds me of a masculine fragrance. Has the strength of an obsession or opium without the vanilla warmth coming through. The flowers are not as present and I am not sure that the citrus works with the coffee? On the right person, this may be great, but on me it was heavy and had a little too much obsession umph.

I so wanted and expected to like this one, I love all the notes and spicy is my thing.. Unfortunately it comes off as a cheap men's cologne on me.. Strong pepper that I dont mind but lots of alcohol that doesnt seem to go away.. On the positive side I got a decent 6-12 inches of throw and it lasted 4-6 hours..

Very much like this one. Definitely unisex in my opinion. Lasts fairly long on skin.

Love it! Very sophisticated scent. Wears well day or evening lasts all day on me :)

I dislike this perfume with all my heart. I find nothing interesting about it.
