2030 Park Ave

I got a secondhand discovery set and unfortunately this one had leaked halfway out all over the other scents. Everything smelled of the woody notes in this. I’ve been sampling these Pearfats for a few days and every time I touch the mini sprays, my fingers smelled like this for hours afterward. This is despite removing the wet packaging and wiping clean the contents days ago. That woody note is ETERNAL! I’m finally sampling it today. I’m afraid some of the other notes may have burned off as I’m not getting lemon or tuberose. I do get a bit of mildew in the very opening as another reviewer mentioned and figured my sample had turned, but the mildew scent vanished completely in a few minutes. Now I’m left with primarily an aromatic woody scent that smells soooo good. A few years back I was chasing this type of note through many bottles of perfume. Milky Musk by Parle Moi, Sunny Side Up by JHAG. I had others as well but I ended up reselling most of my bottles because I never wore them. I then realized I enjoyed the scent much more when sprayed on my curtains, linens, etc. in my home. I’m a woman and don’t actually wear many wood dominant scents, but I loved the smell so much, and sampling this is a reminder. I need to get my hands on a fresh sample asap, because from what I can smell, I love so much. I’m also a big tuberose fan so if that is a dominant note here I MUST smell it! I’d also be interested in buying this scent in a diffuser. I want my home to smell like this. I feel like this is entirely wearable and could see myself grabbing it from time to time. Not a complete review but I love what I’m smelling so far!

love love love this perfume. hits the right unisex notes without leaning too strongly one way or another, inoffensive wear as well. projection is not super strong, it's very noticeable in close settings on skin, it projects more on clothes with my experience. personally, i get direct asphalt smell with only a little lemon on the drydown (which i gravitate towards industrial tire + metal + smoke + gasoline smells, so this fits right in)- super strong asphalt smell on spray, settles down within 5 min or so and is very pleasing to smell. lasts about 5-7 hrs on clothing, lasts closer to 5 hrs on skin for me. very reminiscent to me of new asphalt mix placed on a road, slightly damp from last night's rain. it also hits the macy's/jcpenny department store vibe, like the smell of a discounted leather bag from there. overall very appealing and planning to get a full bottle, definitely a night scent bc its quite a dark scent to wear in the day. i personally think its a good summer scent, especially when it's humid, but who knows

2030 Park Avenue has a strong petrichor opening, like rain soaked concrete sidewalks, with a slight sweetness and note of warm wood. The dry down reveals a powdery candied lemon. The petrichor fades fairly quickly, while the wood stays to mingle with the candied lemon. I find the dry down to be incredibly comforting. It’s sparkly, slightly sweet, slightly musky and totally cozy. It makes me feel glamorous and ladylike despite the fragrance being definitively unisex. However I can’t imagine 2030 Park Avenue will be for everyone- the opening is somewhat abrasive, but I love that this fragrance takes you on a journey. It really is like walking the city streets when it’s been raining all day, finding some bar to hide in, drinking a cocktail with a sugar rim and forgetting you were ever cold and wet to begin with. It mixes well with weed and tobacco. On me it lasts 6 or so hours. I think it suits me wonderfully, I will be upgrading from my sample to a bottle very soon!

It’s too steamy for such a cold evening. Taxi cabs spray a fine mist over the subway grates, and there’s this strange, hovering wetness. I’ll say, it’s better than the enveloping dryness inside our small apartment. The radiators share their smothering warmth, and when I step outside I smell a petrichor not from the ground but from my skin, rehydrated by a spritz of evening rain. The hem of my suede trench is wet from the puddles kicked back by too-heavy leather boots. The edge of my sleeve dampened by a handrail I grabbed hold to stabilize myself heading into the 23rd Street subway stop at 6th Avenue. I had one negroni while I was getting ready and the citrus garnish lingers. I haven’t eaten enough yet, so I’m buzzed and slightly anxious. Let's get on with the evening, I'm less interested in dinner than I am in the dancing afterward.

Other reviews all seem to be saying something different. I will add to this range LOL. I am obsessed with this scent. I have always loved musky, petrichor scents so this was right up my alley, I'm definitely biased. The more I can smell like nature the better. However, this scent adapts and changes throughout the day, and towards the end of my day I was left with a really pleasant sweetness (the cocktail bar that is mentioned). I get a little bit of patchouli as well. It lasted all day and I could still smell it on my clothes the next day as well when I was putting them in the wash. More of a nighttime scent for sure, but I could see this being worn year round. I loved what it settled into so much that I could not stop smelling myself. I will likely buy a full bottle.
