2030 Park Ave

I got a secondhand discovery set and unfortunately this one had leaked halfway out all over the other scents. Everything smelled of the woody notes in this. I’ve been sampling these Pearfats for a few days and every time I touch the mini sprays, my fingers smelled like this for hours afterward. This is despite removing the wet packaging and wiping clean the contents days ago. That woody note is ETERNAL! I’m finally sampling it today. I’m afraid some of the other notes may have burned off as I’m not getting lemon or tuberose. I do get a bit of mildew in the very opening as another reviewer mentioned and figured my sample had turned, but the mildew scent vanished completely in a few minutes. Now I’m left with primarily an aromatic woody scent that smells soooo good. A few years back I was chasing this type of note through many bottles of perfume. Milky Musk by Parle Moi, Sunny Side Up by JHAG. I had others as well but I ended up reselling most of my bottles because I never wore them. I then realized I enjoyed the scent much more when sprayed on my curtains, linens, etc. in my home. I’m a woman and don’t actually wear many wood dominant scents, but I loved the smell so much, and sampling this is a reminder. I need to get my hands on a fresh sample asap, because from what I can smell, I love so much. I’m also a big tuberose fan so if that is a dominant note here I MUST smell it! I’d also be interested in buying this scent in a diffuser. I want my home to smell like this. I feel like this is entirely wearable and could see myself grabbing it from time to time. Not a complete review but I love what I’m smelling so far!

love love love this perfume. hits the right unisex notes without leaning too strongly one way or another, inoffensive wear as well. projection is not super strong, it's very noticeable in close settings on skin, it projects more on clothes with my experience. personally, i get direct asphalt smell with only a little lemon on the drydown (which i gravitate towards industrial tire + metal + smoke + gasoline smells, so this fits right in)- super strong asphalt smell on spray, settles down within 5 min or so and is very pleasing to smell. lasts about 5-7 hrs on clothing, lasts closer to 5 hrs on skin for me. very reminiscent to me of new asphalt mix placed on a road, slightly damp from last night's rain. it also hits the macy's/jcpenny department store vibe, like the smell of a discounted leather bag from there. overall very appealing and planning to get a full bottle, definitely a night scent bc its quite a dark scent to wear in the day. i personally think its a good summer scent, especially when it's humid, but who knows

2030 Park Avenue has a strong petrichor opening, like rain soaked concrete sidewalks, with a slight sweetness and note of warm wood. The dry down reveals a powdery candied lemon. The petrichor fades fairly quickly, while the wood stays to mingle with the candied lemon. I find the dry down to be incredibly comforting. It’s sparkly, slightly sweet, slightly musky and totally cozy. It makes me feel glamorous and ladylike despite the fragrance being definitively unisex. However I can’t imagine 2030 Park Avenue will be for everyone- the opening is somewhat abrasive, but I love that this fragrance takes you on a journey. It really is like walking the city streets when it’s been raining all day, finding some bar to hide in, drinking a cocktail with a sugar rim and forgetting you were ever cold and wet to begin with. It mixes well with weed and tobacco. On me it lasts 6 or so hours. I think it suits me wonderfully, I will be upgrading from my sample to a bottle very soon!

It’s too steamy for such a cold evening. Taxi cabs spray a fine mist over the subway grates, and there’s this strange, hovering wetness. I’ll say, it’s better than the enveloping dryness inside our small apartment. The radiators share their smothering warmth, and when I step outside I smell a petrichor not from the ground but from my skin, rehydrated by a spritz of evening rain. The hem of my suede trench is wet from the puddles kicked back by too-heavy leather boots. The edge of my sleeve dampened by a handrail I grabbed hold to stabilize myself heading into the 23rd Street subway stop at 6th Avenue. I had one negroni while I was getting ready and the citrus garnish lingers. I haven’t eaten enough yet, so I’m buzzed and slightly anxious. Let's get on with the evening, I'm less interested in dinner than I am in the dancing afterward.

Other reviews all seem to be saying something different. I will add to this range LOL. I am obsessed with this scent. I have always loved musky, petrichor scents so this was right up my alley, I'm definitely biased. The more I can smell like nature the better. However, this scent adapts and changes throughout the day, and towards the end of my day I was left with a really pleasant sweetness (the cocktail bar that is mentioned). I get a little bit of patchouli as well. It lasted all day and I could still smell it on my clothes the next day as well when I was putting them in the wash. More of a nighttime scent for sure, but I could see this being worn year round. I loved what it settled into so much that I could not stop smelling myself. I will likely buy a full bottle.

Oh I love this. Damp and dank root cellar is my immediate association. The kind my great grandpa had out back under the shed. A small wooden ladder that shook and splintered and was entirely unsafe but it was so fun to dare all the cousins to go down into the darkness and feel the temperature drop 15 degrees within seconds. That sweet decay and mildew is such a comfort and fairly realistic. I'm very pleased. And while I was breathing this in there was a moment where it began to smell like when you get water in your sinuses. The taste of that, the sting, in the back of your throat. This will be at the top of my FB wishlist for sure. In the end it softens up to be probably the sweetest way to smell like a moldy basement. 10/10 I'm in love.

Love love love!! Pearfat is very thoughtful in the way that they craft their notes in order to tell a story. On initial spray, 2030 smells very heavily of rain/wet concrete. It captured that smell really well. As it dries down, the rain smell becomes woodier, a little sweet, and very moody. 2030 Park Ave is the addresss of a jazz bar in Detroit, and as a certified Detroit girlie, it makes use that much better. If I were to wear it out and about, I would probably spray it 10-15 minutes before I had to leave to let some of the overwhelming photorealistic rain smell dry down but it is definitely wearable. I don’t know if I’ll be in the mood to write anything long and poetic about this fragrance anytime soon—I just want to say I love it, my husband loves it and I was blown away on first spray. A true banger IMHO. Didn’t look forward to the rain note when I read the description but MAN does it WORK for me. I like wearing it best on a humid day. I can stop searching for any other basic lemon-heavy frag because while this one is weird, it’s incredible, and I have no use for any other strong lemon-note in my collection, cuz I’m sure I’d reach for this one every time.

2030 opens with the scent of rain-soaked grass on a hot, humid day—green, wet, and earthy. If you close your eyes, you can almost feel the humidity in the air. Rain is not a note I usually gravitate toward, but there’s something vivid and strangely addictive about it. As it settles, it softens into the scent of warm, damp concrete after a summer storm, with a touch of airy sweetness. It’s unexpected, even a little odd—but I keep respraying just to experience the full journey again.

earthy, rainy, dirt + humidity and a certain coldness to it <3 all of pearfat's perfumes are very artistic and beautiful in their own way. they all start off with the strong scent of what it is supposed to be and then settles into its own thing and they all become wearable, subtle. *somebody mentioned like if they were watching a horror film in a perfume and i agree! but it's noir horror...is this what nosferatu smells like too? but he's an nyc art hoe?

Does the difficult task of making sugar smell mature. I’m wearing it to a friend’s birthday dinner on a humid, stormy spring night, and when I say it fits like a glove, I mean it. Mixes well with the smell of tobacco. Perfect nighttime scent for someone who doesn’t take life too seriously (as all Pearfat does)

To me this a dirty (literally), musky, lemonade, in the best way possible. With a woody and slightly floral base. The lemon is not a very bright or sharp lemon, it is far more smooth note. This fragrance is really cozy, smooth smell. It reminds me of hikes or walks in a park after a rain.

I can’t pin down a single note in the fragrance, and I think that’s what I love most about it. Everything blends so beautifully and flawlessly. Probably my new favorite fragrance...perfect for any time of any day of any season. Pearfat is killing it.

i have been (metaphorically) drinking this scent all spring-long. how can something be so creamy and grounded all while exuding such a misty-brightness? against all odds, 2030 is impressively loud, which is convenient for compliment-getting :)

Sitting below some underhang on some Southern front porch: it is been hot all day and the afternoon shower cools the asphalt in front of the home to the point it is steaming while you drink lemonade. Olfactory is the highest form of art.

Damp and dank, but also light and breezy. I don't get the lemon here as strongly as others do, but definitely get a sweet floral musk wrapped in petrichor haze. I've only worn it a few times but got so many complements!

Upon opening this smells exactly like a field of weeds and native flowers and grasses in summer after a sudden burst of rain. It reminds of me a nostalgic scent of childhood

The lights of downtown Columbus twinkle and sparkle like stars underneath the once foreboding clouds in mid June. The sound of the once torrential downpour, now gone, the only remnant of the rains rage are the puddles left behind. The bar you're at with your friends has a covered patio area; so there is no need to worry about getting wet, or even worse, your drink getting watered down. You all sip on a jug sweet limoncello as you laugh the night away in the humid yet cooling night. The night fades, but the memory never will. This is such a beautiful, velvet-y smooth ambrosia of summer night goodness. A sweet candied lemon that reminds me of limoncello is on full display upon first spray. Then slowly mellowing out with this amazingly weird rain like scent that is so smooth and realistic. A warm ambrette musk creating the feeling of humidity as it all ties together to make this wonderful painting. I don't get much tuberose, maybe a hint of non descript white floral like the fleeting memory of a perfume once smelled, but nothing that slams me in the face like "Do Son." I also don't get much cedar, but I do get a wet woody-ness VERY faintly in the dry down. Super fun, refreshingly comforting, and unisex fragrance that is perfect for any warmer nights. I can see this being someone's signature scent as they might really dig the effect this has. I get pretty good performance out of this thing as well, just doesn't project as much as it performs.

this fragrance immediately transports me to a busy city in the middle of a downpour, with yellow streetlamps illuminating the night, concrete slick from rain, all while you’re sipping a french 75 and people-watching as you sit alone. the opening showers you with loud petrichor and something warm industrial-feeling, which evokes wet concrete and melancholy. it’s moody, heavy, warm, but in the dry down, the lemon comes through as tart and punchy, perfectly complimented by a sweet, candied quality. i find that the sweetness helps to pull it away from being too industrial, otherwise i can see someone getting a strong wet rubber impression. the cedar note makes it feel vintage and mature. the notes all blend together so seamlessly, and the gradual dry down feels like the rain is fading to a light sprinkle, leaving space for the heart and base notes to shine through. this fragrance is very unique and evocative, it feels distant and lonely. i like it so much more than i was expecting to based on the scent profile. despite the intense opening, i actually find this fragrance very wearable, specifically as a summer nighttime scent — i just wish it projected more; based on my wear test, it sits pretty close to the skin after about an hour.

The opener is odd - not good or bad, just plain odd. Alongside the candy-like lemon opener, I get a warm, dense cloud of what other reviewers are calling mildewy. The musk mallow is exceptionally forward, almost medicinal, but not bitter. Personally, to me the combo comes off warm and numbing, almost like Cepacol (those sore throat anesthetic numbing sprays). This would normally be a bad thing, but combined with the petrichor it feels almost boozy, like a strong vodka-infused fruity drink that you shotgun after rolling into a bar from the rainy city evening. The rain smell in this is warm, like hot pavement, and it feels intimate like neon lights. The perfume mellows out after that. For me it was quite floral (probably the tuberose) on top of the musk mallow body, but my partner said it was almost entirely woody. It's really comfy in the drydown. This is a gorgeously creamy perfume - if you don't mind the odd opener, it's a huge winner.

opens with an extremely strong and on the nose petrichor scent; I have to give points for realism here as it really does smell like the air outside when it’s raining, with a hint of metallicness to it. Then you quickly get that lemon and it smells like lemon slices with sugar sprinkled all over them. The sugar is strong in this and it’s a bit odd mixed with that wet dampness from the rain accords but not bad just weird if that makes sense. The dry down offers a lot more woods and slight florals but it still keeps that rain smell, so it smells like slightly sweet, damp woods. I don’t think I’d get a full bottle but it’s a fun scent to smell

Very interesting. Immediate petrichor on the first spray, but with some sun. I like how after the top notes settle in I smell like the garden and tire section at Walmart. I'm not being a dick I really enjoyed it. Something clean and liminal about it. Also reminded me of an airport. In a clean liminal way. Right before it totally goes away it smells like straight powdery soap. It lasts long as well and leaves a nice scent trail. I could smell it if I moved during class or while walking around but I wasn't offending anyone. I liked the little journey it took me on.

My friend Andy sent me a sample of this and I feel very seen by my friend, even though I would never wear this out. It’s silly and bizarre! A bright bright sunny opening right into notes of rubber... brand new tires... a licorice warehouse... applying lipstick at a bowling alley... then, hours later, sugar cookies... parchment paper... I have truly never smelled anything like this, it’s barely human but tons of fun. Edit: I have worn this out and loved it - foolish boy, that Me From The Past...

First impressions: fun! The candied lemon settled pretty quickly into something sweet enough to round the edges, and that rain smell came forward- wet metal and asphalt which I really liked. Cedar and just a little floral keep things balanced. I've found pearfat really evocative of a scene- like with this one I feel like I have on a freshly washed sweater on and am stepping out in the morning right as the rain is the letting up.

musty in a good way. feels like petrichor and lemon verbena at the top. when it mellows, im hit with overwhelming nostalgia for elementary school. i went to school in the united states (and a lil bit of england) in the mid-late 90's and something about the way this sits takes me right back: the thick rubbery plastics, dark stormy days shuttered in the art room, the paints, the scented markers.

the opening smells like chalky candy to me (which i love!). think conversation hearts or necco wafers— this is probably the lemon and sugar coming out to play. i also get a little bit of wet pavement, which gets stronger as the scent develops. i don’t pick up on much/any tuberose— feels like summer/fall evenings to me but i really think this one could be appropriate year round.

Thankfully I get very little florals or citrus from this on my skin. It opens quite petrichor-y and definitely gives wet pavement after a storm, but it dries down to a musky, creamy, coconut-sandalwood on me. I sprayed this on a shirt and could smell it every time I walked by my closet for several days after-- longevity is great. Unisex and so nice during warm, humid weather.

This is like drinking a cup of lemon tea (or maybe eating some sort of lemon pastry) on an apartment terrace after a late springtime sunstorm, with the smell of the flowers outside growing stronger in the sunshine. A weird combo of petrichor and sweetness that works, somehow. Pearfat perfumes are so strange and lovely.

used to walk around listening to black metal by dean blunt on the way there and back to the new york film festival promo screenings in lincoln center cause my school let me go for free all sad cause my great aunt died the week before. this is kinda like that distilled

Cement and flowers on a rainy day. This is fresh printer paper. Oddly, it also reminds me of the Nosferatu perfume by Heretic. Damp it almost alluring, but also efficient. Remind reminds me of walking into a damp cellar, but in a good way.

Citrus rain with musky asphalt in the opening. As it dries down I got a semi-strong note of chlorine within the petrichor. Very weird, but interesting - I really like it. Sadly lasts only a little over an hour on my skin :(

When I smell this, all I can think of is spearmint bubble gum with a slight floral undertone. This sounds bad, but I keep finding myself drawn to it. It's just so interesting and alluring.

Me: I go back and forth between finding this revolting and also morbidly wonderful. It does have sort of a wet conrete essence. However, I think it's better described as the smell of playground rubber chips that have been rained on and are now musty. Unwearable for me. Him: This is a very nostalgic and distinctive scent to me. Back in highschool I was on a team that rebuilt old motorcycles into dirt bikes that we raced against other schools. Every week we would meet at this old, beat-up, motorcycle shop. The owner had an old rusty and grimy toolbox that we used. This smells exactly like my hand after using one of those tools. A mix of mud, grease, and rust.

It's nice and moody. Smells pleasant to me. I feel like it's got a hole-in-the-wall jazz club kinda vibe. I imagine glistening pavement mirroring streetlamps and the sound of cars spraying puddle water. The cedar is beautiful. Like a vintage gown stored in a cedar chest, being lifted out of storage to wear for the evening. I actually freaking love this perfume wow. Edit: I wore this to work today and the first hour or so is lovely but as it dries down it gets so powdery :( at least on my skin. I'm so bummed.

I’m not sure how I feel about this one. On one hand, it’s super unique and quite interesting, while telling a story. However, it’s also really light, I get lemon for a few minutes and then it’s like I’m standing on an empty street after the rain and it’s steamy. Nothing but petrichor and some woodiness. I can only smell it with my nose close to my skin. I’m glad I’ve experienced this perfume, but as something I’d buy and wear? No, it’s too simplistic, no depth, and doesn’t perfume well. Cool concept though.

I'm thoroughly confused by this (and most other Pearfat) perfume(s). All the notes are there. The lemon and cedar hit me first, with ozone in the background like a coming storm. Those settle pretty quickly and I'm just left smelling musky baby powdery tobacco, vaguely reminiscent of a chain-smoking Cabbage Patch doll. I haven't given up on it but it definitely doesn't suit me. Perhaps it just clashes with my chemistry but I can't help feeling like I'm unable to unlock its mystery.

Smells exactly like going to the auto shop with my dad. It has a car like quality but the experience of being outside of the car. Old oil on concrete, a slight sweetness in the same way. Not a strong scent, and quickly dies down into something similar to a watered down sugar cube that hadn’t fully dissolved. Positively unisex, perhaps what your favorite bartender smells like. Update only 14 minutes later: this made me incredibly nauseous. Carsickesq

Overall, this scent is interesting. It's not for me though. In my opinion, it smells like damp tree bark in a mossy forest, wooden planks that have fallen off of an old pirate ship, or just a campfire in the middle of the wilderness. It also reminds me of vintage jazz records sitting in a wooden box in a dusty old thrift store. I do get the French 75 Cocktail vibe in this scent as mentioned in the description on the Pearfat website.

purchased this as a discovery set and was the second one with the cap not fitted correctly, spilling the contents in the shipping box. What I smelled on my fingers was reasonable enough, not very strong. Even if it were amazing, I wouldn't risk purchasing a full bottle due to poor packaging quality control.

To me 2030 Park Ave smells exactly like cleaning a leather saddle. I guess it's smells like neet's foot oil? Mix in a touch of dust and hint of animal fur. Interesting, inoffensive, and kind of warm. But not at all what I was expecting and not particularly wearable in my opinion.

The opening flash is vividly similar to someone doing donuts in a damp parking lot, it's wet pavement and burnt rubber. That dissipates almost instantly and what's left is,,,, I don't have a nice way to phrase it, this smells like the dog treat aisle at Tractor Supply. I sprayed this all over myself like a noob and I smell like a smorgasbord of dog chews, I have 6 hours of work left before I can change... If I sniff deep, I guess I can smell some lemon but it's kinda like a nice floor cleaner which is not helping the overall impression. The rubber smell is still there a bit too, so physically I'm in an office building but olfactorily I'm standing in the dog treat aisle at Tractor Supply and there are some fresh tires on the far wall while an employee mops a few aisles over. I must really be struggling with the number of options because it's taking me hours to pick a dog chew and check out... Maybe they'll hand me the mop and an apron soon, maybe I don't work in an office at all, maybe only my nose tells the truth

I was graciously given a sample of this at LA Scent Week by Alie and her husband, who were manning the Pearfat Booth. This is one of the strangest and most polarizing scents I've smelled. It's supposed to have notes of lemon and sugar (French 75), rain, and tuberose, but the smell was so much different than what I anticipated, which was feminine-leaning, aquatic, and effervescent. This is NOT a safe blind buy, y'all! To me, this scent smells of new bike tires and poisonous green vines and flowers (think an angel's/devil's trumpet). I do not get lemon or sugar at all. The humidity of rain is captured well, but I absolutely cannot do the rubber smell. It is weirdly narcotic and indolic, and if you are into the smell of tire and bike shops, this is for you.

Not quite what I wanted it to be. Really wanted something to evoke the feeling of walking into a bar after waiting in the rain. I think the cedar throws this off for me. The dampness of the scent is quite beautiful and I love the sugary, almost creamy lemon it dries down to, but it doesn't last long enough unfortunately.

I really really wanted to like this one!!! I was so hoping for it to really capture the rain smell that I like..... unfortunately to me it just smells like wet grass or maybe a very green smelling industrial cleaner. I don't even get rubber, which I wouldn't be super against. I just get a musky wet green smell :(

I find the rain notes wayy too overwhelming to enjoy. Kind of sad because I really like the rest of the notes as a concept, I was just hoping it wouldn't smell like musty basement to me :/

on paper I mostly smelled the candied lemon, but on skin I only get the ozonic and musk ambrette notes - smells a bit like Lysol to me
