Charuto Mysterious Tobacco

Cool Osmanthus & Bright, Sweet & Fruity (Red) Tobacco... There's a combination here of sweet fruity-ginger-tobacco, along with cool & leather-y aspects of osmanthus that have a slight leaning to oud-y-ambroxan. This is a dupe of Mystery Tobacco Carolina Herrera with good approximation and average to above average performance. Unisex leaning masculine, this is a gentler, easier-to-wear (red) tobacco scent, and doesn't overpower to my nose, and despite being a tobacco scent, the spiciness here is quite mild. In the first minute I can feel the fruity tobacco, but then it disappears as the spray dries. 2-3 minutes in, as the sillage starts to open up, I get a leather-y osmanthus note that leans to oud-y-ambroxan (which improves the performance) and brings to mind a soft nude coloured leather that melts into something near quince. A minute or two later I get sweet, fruity-ginger-tobacco emerging while the cool leather-y osmanthus note lingers in the top notes. This is the main impression for the bulk of the wearing experience, but the longer it's on the skin the more blended and smooth it seems. This isn't a beast mode performer, but that's part of its charm, and the performance is still slightly above average, and one of the strongest for this brand. Enjoy! Update 08/09/24: It's a little cooler today, so I sprayed this on my hand in search of osmanthus. This has evolved a little and gotten stronger, and while it's a (red) tobacco scent, the osmanthus & tonka bring a luxurious, whipped leather facet on a guaiac wood base accented with artemisia. Other reviewers for Mystery Tobacco Carolina Herrera have mentioned a creamy quality also. The effect for me isn't gourmand, but more like all the notes are combined into a velvety mousse by a molecular gastronomist and presented on a wooden plank. So good today it's become a love.

Boy am I happy to see this fragrance finally listed here on Fragrantica! I hope this means we will see more from Paris Corner and other brands (Fragrance World, etc.) creating inexpensive perfumes that often aim to replicate or reinterpret usually insanely overpriced fragrances. Mysterious Tobacco is obviously meant as a clone of Carolina Herrera's Mystery Tobacco, and it absolutely aces the brief. Yes it is close enough to Red Tobacco, too, but never gets as sweet as the Mancera. In some ways it is smoother than Red Tobacco - certainly the opening, while similar, isn't as harsh. Of course, you can add Carlisle to the list of fragrances that Mysterious Tobacco gets close to. It's simply a top class effort by Paris Corner. Performance is stellar. Easily 14 hours with three or four sprays. It goes without saying, only for colder days and seasons. Depending on where you live on the planet you can get Mysterious Tobacco for anywhere from $13 to $20. Stupendous value on every front. If you're a lover of the tobacco note, this should already be in your collection. I have two bottles, and overjoyed that I do. Thank you to the good people at Fragrantica for listing this gem.

Amazing...amazing....AMAZING!! This is right up there with "Exclusif Tabac" (which has been discontinued...*CRY*) and performs only slightly worse. The scent is just as amazing and the only negative I have to give is the horrible low-quality bottle it comes in. Absolute TRASH bottle!! Beautiful design, but the sprayer leaked all over the place on the first spray turning the red outer coating of the bottle into a gelatinous dye-filled goop that doesn't wash off of clothes (Goodbye shirt >_< ) and is hard to wash off of skin. I cracked the top off the bottle and rehomed the juice in a proper spray bottle and threw that garbage bottle it came in into the trash. Now that the juice is in a proper fragrance bottle, it sprays correctly and aerates better and smells just like my 60% full bottle of "Exclusif Tabac". I'll order a backup of this fragrance next week, as high-quality Tobacco fragrances are getting harder and harder to come by these days. 9/10 (1 point taken off for the crappy bottle)

Updated Review: Gosh. The sillage on this thing? Unhinged. The scent clung to his skin like Gorilla Glue—I had to ask him to take another shower 😭😭😭 No kidding. I was suffocating in sensuality. Is the tobacco strong? Not exactly. It lingers in the background, justifying the name Charuto Mysterious Tobacco, but it’s overshadowed by the luscious sweetness of tonka bean, guaiac wood, and patchouli. Not a bad thing—just unexpected. As someone who’s driven by scent (and maybe a little bit of chaos), I find this fragrance mature, smoky-sweet, and almost edible in a “don’t get ideas” way. It smells like honeyed caramel smoke, kissed with wood and warm vanilla. Do I like it on my man? Absolutely. Would I let him wear it daily? God, no. This one is reserved for nights when you want to test your restraint. And maybe fail 😂😂 Got it for my husband and he loves the scent. Tobacco is not prominent but he says it’s ok.

There is zero ashtray or cigarette smell to this. None whatsoever. I know scent is subjective but idk what to say when people use things like 'piss' or 'cigarette' to describe some scents, which IMO, are wild exaggerations. Additionally, it's not even in the same galaxy as Ombre Noire(which is waaay more challenging) so idk what's up with blud's nose(who wrote the ashtray review). This is actually the one of the least smoky and safest tobacco scents you can buy and it smells like Mancera's Red Tobacco to at least 90%. Lasts for 6 -7 hours and projects for a couple of hours, it's perfect for winter, spring, fall and in my country, monsoons. Beautiful scent to sleep to if you want to wake up to a gorgeous vetiver-guiac wood drydown. Unmistakably sexy.

Smelt this gem a few days ago and definitely fell in love with it immediately. In my opinion it leans more towards the male spectrum. There are quite a few tobacco scents out there but this one really seals the deal for me hands down. Think if you can of taking your partner to a whiskey and cigar lounge or a hookah bar in the colder months this is definitely the fragrance you would wanna wear smart, sophisticated and mature. Definitely would go well with the various tobacco scents like cherry and vanilla as well as the different hookah flavours. But dont take my word for it try it and you be the judge for yourself. Definitely would make cigar and hookah lounges feel sexy and sophisticated. And yes women do look sexy as hell enjoying cigars.

I totally love this perfume. The tobacco scent is strong. The ginger is well-blended with the herbs (patchouli mostly) giving it a fresh tobacco smell. The citrus plays a very small role toning down the tobacco scent to make it wearable. However, the projection/ sillage is quiet loud. It easily lasts for 7 hours, without the need to re-spray. 10/10. It leans very masculine. Always have atleast one person asking me what fragrance I'm wearing when I pull this perfume out.

Seriously, this is a stunner! 😍 A gorgeous hug of a fragrance. Much more fruitier and sweeter than I imagined but not too sweet. A lovely smoky drydown and so satisfying to smell. I've put a few spritz on a handkerchief and give it a big inhale every now and then. I've got nothing to compare it to having not smelled Mystery Tobacco by Carolina Herrara nor Red Tobacco by Mancera, so this is just my personal preference. Love this one a ton! Highly recommended 👌

A good mystery tobacco clone. Not a very good performer. If you want good performance look at exclusif tabac from alhambra. Still this is a great tobacco fragrance. 8/10. Longevity and sillage are both moderate. I noticed people keep saying this is beast mode. Not sure if my bottle is weak but definitely not beast mode for me.

8th months into maceration and my oh, It is now smoother, not much of the cigarette ashy-ness more like newly unpacked of cigs, heavy vanila, not much of the medicinal scent now. just smells wonderfull and lasts a day, I tell you I can still smell it till morning

I love a tobacco note, preferably unsmoked. This potent perfume has it and it's very well done too. Also a lovely amber note in there. Lasts all day and is really masculine. Lovely red bottle too and a great price point. Needless to say, I love it.

Got my 10ml sample.Wow this is great, i ́ll make it short: take cherry, chocolate and mix it with tobacco (golden virgina).Lets make it more simple, it smells like the german cherry cake called Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte with added tobacco.

I love this juice. It has a nice tobacco scent and a little sweetness to it. A mild raspberry flavor hits you slightly. a beautiful crafted scent. Its a mature scent not for young boys. Performance is good also.

Amazing scent. 95% similar to CH mystery tobacco. Very nice pop up for the first 2 Hours and the longevity nearly 8 Hours. For 15€ that I found it, maybe one of the best vfm fragrances

Im not sure if my juice "batch" is spoiled. Though it is smooth but I can't pick up any ginger nor citruses. Like I always say... Maceration period. See you in couple of months time.

I have several perfumes with a pronounced tobacco note.. This is one of the nicest. If you love an unsmoked tobacco which lasts - try this. After maturation, it's even better.

Okay, you gotta give this one a chance. I like Mystery Tobacco, but I don't think the performance is very good and I definitely don't think it merits the price. I'd heard Exclusif Tabac was a great clone, but couldn't find it anywhere, so I figured I'd give this a shot and blind bought. I tested on a a strip first, and it smells like chemicals cleaning products and a fresh pack of cigarettes. Not even remotely close to Mystery Tobacco. I thought, okay, odd, but decided to try it on skin. Immediately better, with the fruity osmanthus coming in strong and the tobacco getting softer and rounder, and overall a thicker, more syrupy feel. The cleaning chemical smell was gone, too, but it still wasn't quite Mystery Tobacco yet. Then, within about twenty to thirty minutes (it's in the 90s where I am currently but I'm inside in AC), it morphed into exactly Mystery Tobacco. I compared them at this point and they smelled identical to me, except that this one performs better, in both sillage and longevity. Mystery Tobacco is pretty linear compared to the wild ride this one took me on, but once this reaches the drydown, it stays consistent and just like the Carolina Herrera. Overall, really pleased with this one. I would say maybe, if you don't love it on first spray, give it a little time and see if you change your mind. If you like Mystery Tobacco, you'll probably like this at the dry down. I've never smelled Red Tobacco, so no idea if it smells like that, and it doesn't smell like Carlisle, though I get why people say that. It's sort of like root beer and Dr. Pepper. They're similar but they definitely aren't the same thing. And if you've never smelled any of that and just want a creamy, sweet tobacco with touch of patchouli to it, you may dig this too. Masculine to me but could maybe be pulled off as unisex. I don't think it's weather dependant because I like it in the heat, but it may be a more traditionally cold weather leaning fragrance. Also leans slightly upscale, but it's really nice just laying around the house, too. For just twenty-five bucks, I'll call that a buy.

It's an overall nice blend of sweet, fruity, floral, tobacco, spicy, powdery, woody and vanilla aromas. This can be used by women as well as men which is very rare for a tobacco fragrance. The mellowness actually makes this a great intro to tobacco fragrances for those who haven't used one before and might be afraid they're too harsh for them. This is unisex and great to use in cooler weather. It goes for a great price as well. It's an average performer, so do be prepared to overspray on first application and respray throughout the day. The scent is great, though, and well worth it for both those who already enjoy tobacco fragrances and those wanting to check one out. Recommended.

A gourmet, almost creamy tobacco that still smells distinctly TOBACCO. Like an earthy, expensive cigar. Great silliage and it lingers nicely for a while without the scent evolving too much. I got this scent for myself, but my girlfriend has sort of stolen it and has been wearing it. Honestly, I do think I prefer to experience it that way. When wearing it and exposed to it for a while, there is something about the tobacco smell that almost starts to smell like a.... Numbing agent? It's sort of hard to explain. My gf has no clue what I'm talking about. But maybe try it out before you buy a whole bottle! (Also, side note, the bottle is fun and chic.)

If you love red tobacco, you gonna like this one. It’s a little smoother and softer than red tobacco but it’s a nice frag overall. I blind bought this one because of the price tag and positive reviews. Then I realized it’s redundant to have another sweet tobacco frag in my collection but if you like less loud version of red tobacco, you can check this one out. Good frag! 8/10 👍

Just got this..I blind bought it because I already have Tobacco Vanille and I love it..I was a bit worried if it would be too masculine for me, but it is not. To me it feels bright, sweet and red...The bottle is a good match with the juice...azza55550 described my sensations exactly. I am happy I bought it.

A more wearable red tobacco DNA. Scent is pretty linear all throughout, definitely not a safe blind buy. Performance is a banger 8-10hrs easy. If you like the vibe of RT, Carlisle, TOB then you will definitely like this one although the formers are way above quality wise.

Good value for the money. Subtle sweetness, tobacco and tonka up front, some ginger. Quite pleasant, nothing special, easy to wear (not in the heat). Longlasting, projecting quite well for 2-3hrs.

Aint my type of fragrance. I bought it as a blind buy, so when i first sprayed the perfume i had a negative instinct to it. It smelled sour(?) And ginger-y. After having it for a week, the perfume is growing on me. The opening is still pretty sour and i still dislike it but the dry down is sweet and pleasing. I wouldnt buy it again if i could buy other perfumes but i dont mind wearing it if given as a gift. 5/10

It’s not a beast-mode scent. When macerated, it becomes more intense. It’s quite linear. When sprayed, you get hit with a chemical cherry pipe tobacco note, with a rather synthetic smoky aroma. It’s sweet but quite sharp. After about 3 hours, it becomes a skin scent—slightly sweeter at that point.

Smells like red tobacco, quite smooth and strong. It's a nice bottle, good sprayer. Very masculine but some women will love this also but it's too masculine for me. A reasonably attractive tobacco scent, not as sweet and feminine as I enjoy.

Intense sillage — absolutely nuclear, spray with care! Personally, I can’t stand the scent. It’s too aromatic and not as "calm" as I was hoping for. Sreams for attention. After a few hours, it improves as most of the harsher notes fade, revealing a solid tobacco/tonka base with some soft aromatic touches. Blind-buy safe? Absolutely not. However, it is amazing quality for the price. It’s a good clone — if you know what you’re getting into.

Not bad, but not my style at all, definitely for older people as it does resemble an ash tray with a kind of red liquorish accord. It also kind of smells like rubber tyres. Performance is fairly good, just not something I want to smell like but If your into the whole "Mysterious dude" persona I guess this could do it? But for me, hell nah - 3.5/10

One of the worst CH or Mancera clones. A complete mess of scents, it's some terrible compote... with sweet cherry. I honestly don't know where the hell that too dominant cherry came from, even if it's a cherry pipe tobacco. There should be much more balance in this fragrance. I am writing about a fragrance that has been subjected to so-called "home maceration" for eight months. At the beginning, tobacco was the only recognizable note that could command any respect, but now after a few months it is barely noticeable. This damn fruity compote dominates everything, although the scent as a whole has certainly become smoother and more civilized over time. OK, pipe tobacco. Let it be cherry tobacco, but the problem is that with each subsequent month this tobacco (which happily dominated at the very beginning)... is less and less. What remains is a fruity compote with a strong cherry note. For me it's a nightmare, tobacco is just disappearing. I'm not a big fan of either the CH original or the Mancera scent, but Paris Corner could have done better. I know the price makes me laugh, but this sub-brand has released many great clones and inspired scents, so I know they can afford much more. Ultimately, the $25 I paid did not negatively impact my household budget. This "clone" from the Paris Corner Charuto series is definitely the worst. However, this cannot be said about the entire brand, or rather about the sub-brand, because thanks to Paris Corner, more than a few excellent clones or inspired fragrances have appeared. Charuto Tobacco Vanille at least doesn't pretend to be the best TFTV clone, it's very linear... although the vanilla dominates the tobacco note, too much for my taste. However, it is a very simple fragrance, without any pretensions to the whole world. It's quite nice, not very synthetic for such a cheap brand, maybe too sweet, but it's perfect for autumn and winter evenings. Another one from this line - Charuto Regal Reserve at least tries to do what Mysterious Tobacco wants to do, ... although it is doomed to failure, Amouage is too complicated frag. Regal Reserve loses its notes and for obvious reasons does not come close to its hegemon. However, it is as tame as possible (although only three months have passed since it was bottled), the parameters are still far from ideal, but it is already showing its claws. It's slowly getting nicer, there is hope. The price is ridiculous. This fragrance has a future, it's worth waiting... Mysterious Tobacco is not worth it.... even this low price. There is nothing to wait for, in my opinion... unless by some miracle it becomes something much better, more valuable in a year or two. ;)

I blind bought this due to reviews and influencers of course. I've never heard of this house prior. I thought it would fall in the wheelhouse of tobacco scents I like. Of course, it didn't. When I first got this, of course, anxious to smell it. I sprayed it on the inside of my wrist on the pulse point. I was immediately smacked in the face with this cigarette ash tray smell. Not cigar, but cigarettes. I know they're various cigar scent profiles or whatever. But this off of my skin wasn't vanillic, boozy, cherries, or honeyed. No sweetness, freshness or other notes, just ash tray. Like if you picked up an ash tray after cigarettes have been put out in it all day, dumped the ashes, then sniffed the tray. 2 months later, I wanna say, I revisited it. The scent profile has changed, but I still don't get any freshness, citruses or sweetness from it. The ash tray vibe is now gone. It's definitely dark, cooler to cold weather only. It's pretty linear and doesn't change much off of my skin. I really don't think this will be a compliment puller at all. Unless, it's from people who appreciate this scent profile or seasoned frag heads. But for me, it's an extremely easy pass. I wouldn't even wear this at home for myself. Longevity and sillage are both impressive. I wouldn't recommend blind buying this at all. Only if you're familiar with the different types of tobacco scents prior to being blended with other scents. I want to try the tobacco vanille one, but I don't know... I'm more of a freshie, blue, gourmand type of frag head. Dark scents aren't really my thing, even though I do have them in my 200+ bottle collection. Anyone getting Lalique Ombre Noir vibes from this? I have that one too, as you can tell from this review, I'm not a fan of that one either. Moreso bought it to smell it due to the rumors of discontinuation and limited availability. Anyone interested in these 2 hit me up, maybe see can work something out. Both have full presentation and have only been sprayed twice for testing. Once when first received and once 2 months later. US only.

I’ll be honest — the opening caught me off guard. Charuto Mysterious Tobacco starts off quite sharp and medicinal. There’s a slightly “medical” or herbal tone in the first few minutes that feels bold, almost aggressive. The tobacco isn’t sweet or creamy at all in the beginning — it’s dry, spicy, and somewhat abrasive. Compared to Tobacco Vanille, this is noticeably spicier and less refined. TF feels smooth, plush, and immediately comforting thanks to its rich vanilla sweetness. Charuto, on the other hand, makes you wait. But here’s the thing — if you give it time, it rewards you. After about 10–15 minutes, the harsh edge fades. The dryness softens. The tobacco becomes warmer, smoother, and surprisingly relaxing. That’s when it turns into something cozy and enjoyable — a scent that feels perfect for nighttime. Projection is strong. Very strong. Over-spray this, and you might feel overwhelmed (or make others dizzy). Two to three sprays are more than enough. This is not a subtle fragrance. In the end: Charuto = spicier, drier, rougher in the opening. Tobacco Vanille = smoother, sweeter, more luxurious, and polished. Is it a clone? Not exactly. It feels more like a bold, spiced interpretation of the DNA rather than a smooth replica. For the price, it delivers great performance and a beautiful drydown — just be patient with it. Perfect for cool nights. Not for the faint of heart.

I bought this because the Tobacco Vanille is such a fantastic score and my OCD wont allow me to buy just one in the pair. Absolutely a blind buy. First impression was that it reminds me of when I used to make my own ginger beer. Fresh and bright, eventually it begins to smell a little fruity and reminded me of Polo Red - berries and almost like raspberry licorice as someone here already mentioned. After a while it dries down and its all about tobacco and woods. I really cant understand some of the comments here that its sour, too mature or smells like an ash tray.?? It's none of those for me. To my nose its sweet, bright, playful and light enough to be worn in a number of different situations even though i'ts a tobacco fragrance. I sprayed this on my arm and went to the gym, just to give it a test run - enjoyed beautiful whiffs of it coming off my skin during my work-out. I felt like it was bright and fresh enough even for that environment although not preferred over other more suitable frags.. It's beautiful and I don't seem to go nose blind from it either.. great longevity and really decent projection. The price was really reasonable at $50 AU for 100 ml The bottle is also very cool IMHO. Anyone that bought this and finds themselves disappointed......I'll take your bottles.

Just opened it and smelled the first sprays (1,5 year old bottle though). Really nice scent. My layman nose smells Chery and tobacco. Strong. I wish Tobacco wasn't as potent, some say it dies down within months - fingers crossed. It makes me hate missing opportunity to buy Exclusif Tabac the last time I've seen it on vinted, as apparently it had tobacco subdued compared to this. Need full wear to decide if wearable for me or another 'just at home' frag.

It's been sitting in my closet for years untouched. As the weather turns cooler here in Northern Spain I tried it and all I can say is wow, I really like it. I am not a huge fan of the tonka bean note but in this fragrance mixed with tobacco and patchouli it's really nice. It lasts 6-7 hours easy. I would characterize it as a soothing creamy vanilla tobacco scent. Recommended.

This is excellent. I was surprised because some Paris Corner fragrances for me have been very head piercing and screechy. Not this one. Even though it's powerful, thick and rich (copying the DNA of CH Mystery Tobacco and Mancera Red Tobacco)- it delivers that DNA very smoothly. Fantastic performance and quality.

Already owning Red Tobacco I was hesitant to buy this. I’m sure glad I did! Although similar, certainly not identical. I think I smell more citrus or floral accords in Mysterious. It’s a lovely fragrance, and I am very happy to have Mysterious Tobacco and Red Tobacco in my collection.

Smells like red tobacco which I 75% like, but this has the animalic oud in the background from start to finish. 30% like which isn’t good lol. But I can see why others wood. Edit: Oud gone Issa strong like.

Shocked anyone would think using that face on the fragrance which represents inhumanity, war, evil revolution and socialism/communism would think it would be smart. More shocked people would purchase it.

This stuff last so long l spray yesterday at 17pm today still can smell one day longevity on this stuff is beast mode for 25€ sweet tobacco so so good worthy blind buying 🔥🔥🔥🔥
