Nuit de Passion

When I first spray this I get juicy sweet and tart mandarin orange with bergamot combo then comes dark berries with a hint of rose iy then becomes slightly animalic and earthy with patchouli. It’s a beautiful inspiration of midnight poison the only issue would be the lasting power it only lasts 4 hours on my skin doesn’t project well either. This price is great though.

As a fan of the Poison line by Dior, I've been curious about Midnight Poison for a long time, but was shocked by the extortionate amounts of money people pay for it on the grey market. A few months ago, I stumbled upon this dupe from a discounter and gave it a shot. It was around 20$ CAD, so why not? The citrus is strong in the opening, but as it dries down, the rose, vanilla and patchouli become more prominent. It smells fresh and sophisticated at the same time which is quite nice. Definitely a perfume to wear in cold weather. The projection and longevity are only moderate, but the good news is that because it's so cheap, it won't hurt to carry a travel bottle for re-application throughout the day. Now whether or not it's 100% faithful to Midnight Poison, I truthfully can't say, but I think it's a pleasant perfume on its own. Give it a try if you're in the market for something affordable! Update 23/Jan/2026: I have the original Midnight Poison now. I can confidently say they are alike. You won't be disappointed!

I wrote a long passage, about how I always wanted a bottle of Midnight Poison, and how I remember spraying it on myself at perfume counters, and how I have a vague memory of how it smells, and ended up here. Yes, I confess, I ordered this Nuit de Passion without ever smelling it. I have worn it a few times and it has a sweet spot where it really smells like (how I remember) Midnight Poison. I smell dark berries, dark citrus, maybe smokey roses? I think I would recommend this to someone who likes dark berries and red wine and smokey candles. Or to someone going on a hot date. One could see how it could be smelled as an erotic perfume, thus the name is more than appropriate. I love the names of fragrances.
