Endymion Concentré

I'm so happy to finally have my hands on a bottle of this little gem. I'll skip all the history lessons because Penhaligon's is a fairly well known name in the fragrance world (and even outside if you're into the barbershop culture). So yes, at the core, Penhaligon's is a barbershop, right next to other giants like Truefitt & Hill, Atkinson's, Dunhill's, etc. Penhaligon's is also well known for being upscale: King Charles himself did the artistic direction for one of their fragrances, Highgrove Bouquet (I believe he wears it as well). As such they are sadly pricey, and their fragrances are as well. It's kind of a shame, as many of them are fantastic scents, especially their colognes. One of these is Endymion, the original cologne version. It's a super nice, refreshing (posh) barbershop aromatic fragrance. You'd be forgiven to say it smells like designer blue fragrance, because that's pretty much what it is. The main criticism Penhaligon's fragrances get is the longevity. Besides Halfeti, most of their fragrances are quite short lived. To some that's a deal breaker but you'd be mistaken to judge their work solely based off of that. The house made an attempt to deepen Endymion's DNA with its EDP counterpart, Endymion "concentré". I will be honest, it's not massively successful. It's still short lived, although the EDP is definitely deeper, warmer and has hints of smoke and leather outright and dries down into a beautiful warm blue fragrance, once again not too unlike familiar designer DNAs, just a bit more posh and less cheap smelling. indeed, Endymion Concentré is a compliment magnet. And I don't use that expression liberally. I've been wearing this thing a few times and already people have commented on it multiple times. Just this morning as I type this, a colleague stepped into my office asking what the heck I was wearing and that it made her feel "uplifted". That's a win in my book. Actually, that's exactly what Endymion does, both the cologne and EDP. I find it a super uplifting, mood-boosting scent. If it wasn't for the admittedly super short longevity (2 hours or so) it would be a fragcomm darling I'm sure. If you love barbershop fragrances and blue fragrances in general, or if (Penhaligon's) Sartorial is a little too spicy and formal to your taste, get your nose on this one.

I got this during a winter sale from Penhaligon's, and it was one of the best investments to my collection I've ever made. This leather-y/suede-y scent is so relaxing. It's a super diverse scent that truly can be worn during any season and any time. This has become my go-to scent ever since I got it. It smells very much like a romantic night amongst an Italian garden/temple. The smell hits you right away with the botanical top notes that keep it nice and light, but the suede and leather are instantly noticeable. the main notes for the first 1-2 hours is lavender, suede, leather, and bergamot. As it begins to dry down the bergamot and lavender begin to take a step back as geranium and incense begin to poke through. This is the bulk of the wear, and it's a really nice leather/suede/floral scent. Then as you get into the base notes it becomes an extremely intimate scent, but the nutmeg begins to poke through to give it that ever so needed spiciness. I absolutely love this scent. If you're looking for an amazing suede/leather scent to either add to your collection or start your leather perfumes scent journey, i encourage you to buy this; sale or not.

I been wearing and testing Endymion the last few days and in my skin it starts off with a very fresh and citrusy blast with the lavender and then the woody and spiciness comes in which for some moment feels like a Fougère type of fragrance which I really love. As it drys down, the leather and suede notes pops up with the lingering incense, the leather and suede dominates the dry down but it’s not overpowering as the freshness and florals are still very noticeable which in my opinion is just a sophisticated and classy dry down. Performance wise, I surprisingly get a very good projection out of this, with about 6-7 hours of longevity. What I notice from Endymion Concentré is that it develops differently when I apply it to my skin and to my clothes, the lavender, bergamot and spices remains longer when applied to clothes than in skin which I don’t mind at all too. In my opinion, this could be worn by both women and man, slightly in the masculine side and it could be a all year around fragrance, I can see my self wearing this in summer to winter, very versatile fragrance indeed. A fragrance in the true sense of the word, airy, fresh, barbershop style thanks to lavender, sage and geranium but much more complex. It blends into a unique accord that manages to stay fresh for many hours, it does not have much evolution but the mix is very multifaceted and compact thanks to the well blended leathery and incensed notes. In my skin it stays more than 7 hours and it's very pleasing from start to bottom, it is a scent you would use either for a date night, a wedding, an important meeting or before going to bed. This could be a great signature scent for all the season and it's a safe blind buy. Endymion Concentré differs from Colonia because it is a little less rounded, the concentrated variant is modern and goes straight to the point, while Colonia evolves more, it's full and classy, perhaps more old-fashioned. That said, I prefer the concentrated version, more present, a few more hours long lasting, more projection, a contemporary take on the classic barbershop fragrance, perfect for a late-night rendezvous at the lounge bar. 9/10

I love this one. Wore it out last night for 9 hours before I took a shower. Even at the end I was getting whiffs of it, it could probably go longer. So I decided to write this review. The top notes whizz by after the initial spray, I get the bergamot, maybe a little lavender, and then it's straight to the leather. To me, this is a leather fragrance: a creamy, brown, vegetable tanned leather. It definitely still has coffee in there, sewn into the tail end of the leather accord, and it gives the fragrance a really mouthwatering feeling. A spicy-sweet nutmeg only shows up after at least 5+ hours of wear, seems to be the heaviest of all the notes. In my opinion, Concentre is strictly an improvement of the cologne, both in smell and performance, though I understand if what people really liked was Endymion's take on lavender this is a bit disappointing. It's a great family resemblance though. A dark and dreamy beauty.

Surprisingly metrosexual, fresh, familiar, sweet lavender and slightly creamy in the air in the opening and middle. It's somewhat derivative in the early stage and reminiscent of Mont Blanc Legend Night and some other crowd pleasing frags containing lavender I've smelled before. Not barbershop and not a herbal old lavender like Caron pour homme, Creed's Bois du Portugal or L'Occitane edt which I'm accustomed to. My favourite part is the mid and dry down with leather. I don't detect loads of rough leather or suede like TF Tuscan Leather, Ombre Leather, Godolphin etc so if you're worried about leather being too strong, don't be. I think it's just a good nuance adding some character to set it apart in the base and the leather accord here binds to skin beautifully, making it masculine. It's a lovely fragrance overall. Very easy to wear, office friendly etc.

Oh my goodness...where do I start? Once this masterpiece drys down, you’re transported to a Victorian midnight garden, with spicy floral scents that smell like absolute quality, that are blended beautifully. The floral accents aren’t feminine and rose-like but rather strong, masculine and mysterious. It’s a smell like nothing l’ve yet tried, and I can see it suiting a middle aged stylish man with a bit of flair. If you’re into fresh sport scents, this may be too artistic and floral for your tastes. It’s smells like a high-class Victorian romance; restrained yet passionate, refined yet wild. If it were a colour, it’d be a smoky, dark mauve... EDIT* I will add that I’m not sure if it’s the batch I have, but it has very little projection and it’s longevity non-existent, which I find odd for such an expensive perfume. I expected much better performance. 🤔

Bought today 100 ml. Much more similar to cologne than, for example, Eau Savage EDP to original one EDT from 1966. More over, it's all marketing. Penhaligon's could sell new EDP under independent name, but... they want to sell more and immediately when it's released. Thus, Endymion ) Regarding Concentre... It's more strong and long lasting. First spray at 6 pm and it's 1 am now... and I can smell it not only close to my skin, it's still around me, at least around my nose. I have never had same result with EDC original. This is good news. As regard to smell itself - need more time to evaluate, to understand notes development. First impression - the smell of EDC is more sophisticated, rich of notes. Although, it could be just... because of anticipation. To be continued...

Smelled a bunch of Penhaligon fragrances with my friend and this was my favorite one. Someone said it gives them the imagery of a botanical garden at night and I totally get that vibe. Also saw someone mention barber shop and I kinda get that too cause it smells crisp if that makes sense. To my friend this read more like your typical masc scent which they aren't a fan of but I felt like it was pretty unique. I haven't seen anyone else mention this but when I first put it on I get a strong smokey scent (the incense I presume lol), so it smelled veryyyy different from the bottle. On my friend it smelt almost the same as the bottle so I guess it's just my skin chemistry. The smokey smell dies down after 20 min and the scent turns quite beautiful.

i think i'm lucky that this lasts on me. it definitely lasts better on clothes though. i sprayed it last week on my clothes at the airport and i can still smell it now, i think the scent has actually gotten better. i'm not getting the leather lots of people are talking about, but i get the bergamot and nutmeg. also coffee, which isn't listed here but is listed in the cologne, it's definitely in here too. a touch of incense, too. i remember when i first sprayed it, it had more of a powdery and herbal element to it, which would've been the lavender and sage, which are my favourite herbal notes. this fragrance made me realise i love masculine-leaning scents on me, and i might even prefer them. i think this will be my next big purchase

One of the most memorable barbershop fragrances aound! Spicy freshness with nutmeg and bergamot opens the scent. It's met with a shaving cream style of clean scent alongside leathery, fuzzy suede with mild coffee, chocolate and sandalwood notes, and a whisper of light smoky incense. There's a lot going on at once in terms of fragrance notes but they all harminise together so beautifully in true, upper class Penhaligon's style. Endymion is a classy, formal leaning scent that oozes respect without being pushy or in your face at all. I'd recommend wearing this to a white collar job interview or important meetings to make an impression.

Further to my previous review, I had to write another Penhaligon's Endymion Concentré is even more beautiful than originally thought!! It's calming effect from the Lavender and leather differentiates itself from the common unisex vanilla/leather or amber/leather pairings on the market. This now feels sophisticated, natural, sits closer to skin and understated, without synthetic ingredients. A predominantly masculine affair. A sensual, intimate, date-night or soothing bed-time leather if you will. Very befitting the name Endymion, the mortal lover of Selene, the moon 🌙 5 out of 5 stars ✨

I love this. Has the perfect balance of lavender, incense, leather and suede. Opens up to be quite generic but once it settles, it transform into something more unique. I don’t know if it’s the powdery blended with incense, lavender, leather and suede that allures me to this but there is truly alluring. Longevity is good on me, it does last quite long on me. Projection is however, satisfactory as wit my most Penhaligon’s fragrances. This also does not smell anything like YSL La Nuit De L’ Homme or Prada L’Homme or even D&G The One Royal Night (I have all 3 and this one).

Beautiful bottle. Like with other Penhaligon's fragrances, if you look for all of the notes listed you can find them. With this I mainly get lavender, an unlisted powder note, suede and coffee. Maybe a touch of geranium in the background. Medium projection and longevity. Sometimes after I think it has faded I catch whiffs though. Smells well blended. Once it fully dries down is when it becomes really beautiful. This is a dark, elegant lavender that fits the bedtime vibe the bottle and name evoke. An acquired taste; once acquired, it knocked my slippers off.

This is a unique scent. Amazing, dynamic, and a major compliment magnet. It starts out kind of "blue" like a soapy, barbershop, citrus and lavender vibe, then dries down to a gorgeous, warm, spicy bombshell. If you took a scent like Dylan Blue or Sauvage or another citrus/wood/soapy scent, then made it dry down into a sexy, intimate scent like The One EDP, and made it all niche and high quality, this is what you get. Of my group of fragrance lovers, 2 of them now have this as their signature scent after I showed it to them earlier this year.

Making my way through a discovery set and whilst this feels too masculine-leaning for me to be able to pull off, it's GORGEOUS. On my skin I briefly get the bergamot top note (which read more like lemon/generic citrus but I'm a huge citrus fan so I'm not complaining) but the way it's settled on my skin smells like if you took some parma violets and crushed them into dry dirt with your leather boot. Anything too masculine but still enjoyable I pass along to my dad. If he enjoys this I'll happily be buying him a full size for Christmas!

I've tried several Penhaligon's fragrances but haven't found one that really struck me as an awesome fragrance, until Endymion Concentree! This is a wonderful fragrance. That powdery lavender mixed with a touch of suede makes for a sensual aroma. I walked by someone shortly after spraying this and they stopped me to say how good I smelled. I'd consider this quite unique. I've tried hundreds of fragrances but have nothing that resembles this. I'd be very happy to make the addition of Endymion Concentree to my collection.

Really strong with a sweet, sensual lavender floral accord, which softens into a fairly subtle, warm spicey suede that is grounded in cedar. I agree with others that there is a faint note of coffee in the middle of this one, although it's vanishingly subtle, and really only shines with the heart notes. I found longevity to be reasonable; while the real theme of this scent is the sensual floral top and middle, the slightly spicey leather lasts for quite some time as a skin scent thereafter.

The dry down is smooth, calm, quiet and comforting. On the surface, it is a classic powdery lavender, but you can just about make out the leather and incense in the background, slowly holding you in a trance. I wasn't particular taken with it at first but I now find it perfect for colder weather and the night.

Smells like a cute innocent baby boy but kinda slutty and seductive when the sun goes down. It's ME. Love it.

This scent was the only reason why I liked a guy.

Endymion Concentré is a really nice masculine leather scent. The leather heart is smooth and realistic, and it is punctuated throughout by aromatic notes that complement it nicely, making for a satisfying, well-rounded composition. EC is leather-dominant from the opening, with a bright lavender note up top, aromatic and realistic, melding beautifully with the leather. Warm, dense nutmeg adds sweet, biscuit-y spice throughout. There is some herbal greenness in the background, keeping things nicely aromatic. As it develops, the incense comes to the fore, infusing the leather with some balsamic sweetness. It becomes increasingly dry, and the leather becomes more suede-like. It fades to a powdery leather skin scent with soft spice lingering. Sillage and longevity are moderate. It is a transeasonal daytime scent, masculine-leaning in my opinion. EC is a simple but beautifully-formed leather scent, subtle, high-quality and very well-blended. There is no harshness here at all. An effortlessly elegant everyday masculine scent, this is far better than most modern designer offerings. 4/5.

Endymion Concentre is an decidedly masculine scent that opens with pretty, delicate lavender rather than the default blast of citrus that dominates the majority of fragrances in the market. I have nothing against great citrus smells, but it is lovely to have a variation that doesn't end up smelling like something your grandmother would have worn. The lavender combines with suede and leather as it dries down, whilst remaining a relatively light fragrance. This is a gentleman's fragrance, that belongs along with tailored suits, tweed and wood paneled rooms. It suits fairly close to the skin and does not provide strong sillage making it a fragrance that speaks quietly, but firmly, rather than having to shout. Endymion Concentre is meant to compliment a man's clothing and character rather than "get compliments" or "drop panties" and is all the better for it. I enjoy this fragrance and will use it in my rotation. It is a warm fragrance that is still light enough to be worn all year round, but I would say that is best suited to Spring and Autumn.

You are a demigod from Ancient Greece, a goddess has fallen in love with you and now you live in the highest tower of the continent, you spend your nights waiting for the dawn to bring back your lover. Looking at the stars, where you can almost touch them, a wintertime breeze brings a fresh, dark-blue hue, that reminds you of a bigger propose. Behind you, theres a God-size bed, made of dark wood, with soft sheets by its side. Painted vases holds an arrangement of medicinal herbs. The bed is messy and inviting, but you are not tired, you’re are inspired. This is a very mature, old school barber shop scent, but super spicy and intense not exactly aromatic. It’s such a different spectrum from what I’m used to in penhaglions, but in a beautiful way. I love most of their fragrances but this one embodies a duality of freshiness and intensity and spiciness that just puts it on his own lane.

From the name, ‘Concentré’, you might expect this to be a much stronger and intense version of the original Endymion - you would be wrong. It shares a lot of similarities with the original, but seems to be a bit more rounded yet equally as weak. The scent itself is perfectly pleasant, a very easy wear that smells fresh, clean and satisfactory. However, it’s nothing special. It’s a fairly standard soapy ‘blue’ shower gel type of fragrance, which is noticeably better than what you’d find on the designer market, but at the end of the day is the same sort of profile. There’s nothing inherently wrong with this fragrance, if it wasn’t for the fact that Penhaligons’ retail prices seem to come from some sort of dream world. If this fragrance was gifted to you then great, but it’s really not worth more than £50.

i am now 1/3 through a 100 ml bottle. i am still not sure what i think of it. after wearing tom ford private blend beau de jour yesterday, i guess i am in a lavender mood. i love lavender, esp the plant, even to the point of making an infusion from garden fresh lavender. but this is not a smooth and gentle fragrance, it borders on the lavender in the fresh universal eco cleaner lavender but not as nasty as airwick lavender spray. i have read the reviews on the edc which sounds a bit more subdued and the concentre could use a bit of subtlety. on me then is not much development, lavender blast, then it walks away, leaving behind a wake that is pleasant but not alluring. update oct 12, 2020 the fragrance in the bottle has settled a little. still nothing wow, still pleasant, but worth repeat wearing.

It opens with a classic men's aftershave flavor, but done in a very refreshing, non-sweet, more green way. Then comes the quiet noticable suede, which seems to carry some coffee notes (or just leather), with a little bit of geranium in tune. Finally the leather becomes softer and is paired with a nutmeg (body scent) and threadiness (sense of silence). The whole aroma is a process of change of innocent -> charming -> calm. I can feel it is designed for a young man who didn't yet notice his innocent charming. I think it is a bottle of perfume that does a good job of thematicity from Penhaligon's. ------ 开头是一个比较经典的男士须后水的味道组合,但做得很清爽、不甜、更绿植感。然后出现醒目的suede(绒面皮革),似乎带一些咖啡的香气(或就是皮革的味道),一点点较浓郁的天竺葵调谐。最后皮质感变得柔和,搭配上了肉香的肉豆蔻和沉寂的线香。 整个香气是纯欲纯的变化过程。很有意思。是很年轻的、小奶狗的感觉。我觉得是一瓶他们家主题性做得很不错的香水。

This is a interesting and possibly a masterpiece. The rumors are true , this does resemble YSL La Nuit de l homme ! You get the lavender,spices, and a suede nuance and all rather well blended and smooth. This one seems more bright, slightly herbal and slightly floral. Still, it is really well-blended and quality. If this sounds interesting to you, the performance will not disappoint. It projects arms length for a 2 hours and then elbow length for 3 more. It then projects elbow length for as long as 8 hours more ! So projection is excellent and last 16 hour plus and that was after a shower. I prefer La Nuit, but this one's performance really makes one reconsider.

I just got this fragrance the other day. In the 4 days between purchase and arrival I used the original Endymion cologne exclusively. I think that wasn't fair to the concentree, because when immediately compared to the ethereal Endymion cologne, the concentree is harsh, almost brutal. It has more in common with a $10 plastic bottle of Pinaud Clubman Special Reserve than it has with the original Endymion. It's that kind of leather scent, with the leather overwhelming the other notes. The OG is so elegant and dreamy, while this product somehow combines beast mode with relatively low projection and longevity. I didn't know that could be done.

Right now I am doing a quick side-by-side comparison of Endymion Concentre to Endymion Cologne. Endymion Concentre smells more bold and slightly harsh (almost like hairspray) when compared to Endymion Cologne, probably because the leather note is more prominent. What seems to be missing from the Concentre is the coffee note. I love how the coffee and the nutmeg notes blend in the Cologne version giving the fragrance a smooth, creamy vibe, something I don't get with Endymion Concentre. Having said that I much prefer Endymion Cologne except for the presentation. The box/bottle of Endymion Concentre looks very fancy.

This works differently on my skin compared to clothing. On clothes, the aromatic-herbal notes are more apparent, making it more gentle and completely unisex, yet on my skin it is very smoky and radiates warmth, like it quickly goes to the suede stage after a minute or two. I sort of feel like an expensive furniture wearing this, an antique leather chaise laying about in someone's Greek Revival house. A delicate masculine-leaning scent hinting at depth with the incense and nutmeg, probably best for office wear since you could blend in with the dry calculated atmosphere with its low-key projection.

Lavender swayed and leather definitely over power and start this scent off. I must admit when I first tried it I did not really like it it was not a standard performer for me. However over the coming days when I returned to it I found it was definitely the best out of the batch I had purchased. Even saying that if you're not the kind of fragrance I would normally go for however that you find it one that I would definitely want to have in my cupboard and use on a regular basis. There is an attraction to this scent it is alluring it does catch people attention. Recommended.

Dark, very smokey, kinda sharp from the bergamot and smoke. Leather comes later but is not as prominent as I would like. Definitely a good night time fragrance, can see it worn by someone who likes cigars, not that it has tobacco but because of the smoke. Nice nutmeg in there too. There is something fruity and herbal trying to poke it's head through. Strictly masculine in my opinion. Doesn't wow me, kind of boring if I'm being honest, was expecting a little more wow factor when I read the notes. Scent: 7/10 Longevity: 5/10 Projection: 6/10 Overall: 6.5/10

I prefer the original over this, as the leather feels a bit raw and sharp when paired with the fougere aspects of this fragrance. Would have been a lot better if they used some sort of semi-sweet note or even a citrus to balance out the leather, but maybe that’s more of a personal preference (there’s bergamot in the note breakdown here but on my skin it hardly comes through.) This version also seems to have less longevity than its predecessor, but I’m not completely sure as it has been a while since I’ve sampled the first one. Definitely sample first.

Been a while since I got a good recommendation at the store. I was not immediately drawn to the opening, but MAN, the drydown is great. It's an aromatic (lavender) leather profile, with a bitter fresh and smoky aspect. This is a gentleman's scent -- very masculine and reserved. I feel like this could be used in any weather due to its low projection. The leather is also not screechy, so it won't be too cloying in the heat. Longevity and projection is average to poor, as people have pointed out. It's the downfall of all Penhaligon's fragrances.

penhaligon's endymion concentre العطر لا يحتاج لكلام كثير ، انه جد متفرد لايشبه اي عطر اخر . نلمس العظمة داخل قنينة هذا العطر الرومانسي بامتياز والذي يناسب في اعتقادي أجواء المساء المختلفة . يبدو لي ان العطار اراد ان يجسد المساء في أبهى حلته وهو يعانق هذا العطر الممتاز ولمن اراد استعماله في الصباح فلا بأس في ذلك حسب تجربتي. لن أدخل في تفاصيل مكونات العطر لان رائحته بصراحة لاتشبه اي عطر اخر لان له خصوصية فريدة وسر خفي . ثباته جيد حدا فوحانه ممتاز انتشاره في المكان هائل .

this is so perfect. my dream home library smells like this. beautiful dark wooden bookshelves, a leather armchair, and some incense in the air. the lavender is so cozy and comforting. it’s smells soft yet sexy. the dry down is incredible. i think the nutmeg adds an almost vanillin sweetness and spice. i do agree that it smells like some popular men’s designer fragrances but much better blended and truly changes from first spray to the dry down, both being wonderful.

This scent was the first Penhaligon's fragrance I purchased. I instantly fell in love with the strong opening of lavender, and the subtle finish of nutmeg. High longevity and sillage. This fragrance kickstarted my affection for Penhaligon's. I love the masculinity in the scent, and its one of my top go to fragrances from Fall to Winter. I mainly wear this during the day as I prefer another Penhaligon's scent - The Blazing Mister Sam for the Winter nights.

This is Dior Fahrenheit Parfum without violet leaf. That gasoline makes your eyes water smell is not in this. Instead it becomes a smooth suede with vanilla and has a touch of rum in it. It’s blind buy worry however not for its original price. I bought it brand new at a discount and will be wearing this as a daily during the winter. Leans business casual but can be dressed up. You could wear this dressed down but have to be confident in it.

Agreed, the leather in this is much stronger, while the original is closer to a classic fougere. Considering the beautiful bottle and added strength and masculinity, anyone who likes the original (or aromatic leather) should give it a try! I was unaware Puig acquired it, but looks like they're doing a great job! (I never took notice of the house before, and even when I'm starting to now, I find myself drawn to the newer ones.)

The opening hits you with sharp freshness, which quickly fades into a warm rich leather scent. I get so much leather from this, it's woody, smoky and a bit peppery making it a good evening scent. The drydown is quite sweet, making it a more unisex scent, although the opening is decidedly very masculine. To me it smells expensive and seductive, so I would recommend to people that like leather based scents

I think we all got this in the discovery set (5ml dabbler bottles) lol. It starts out with lavender and some sage. Doesn’t last too long, but dies down geranium and MINIMAL leather. Unfortunately, this fragrance doesn’t last very long, nor have much sillage. Nothing wrong with this, but nothing memorable/unique. I definitely won’t be buying a full bottle. Recommendation: miss Rating: 3.75/5

With the name, I thought it would be amped up. But, no. Alas, the performance is like most from the house. I get a bit of lavender in the opening. But to me this gives off leather. Freshly cleaned and conditioned leather. Like someone restoring their leather couch in the spring. I like it. Just don't like the price vs performance. Certainly a wearable and enjoyable fragrance.

In-your-face smoky lavender à-la- Tom Ford Lavender Extreme, with a twist (incense). Well blended, even if not extremely original since this theme has already been explored by Lutens, with a more refined result imo. If forced to choose one, I'd choose the original Endymion over this one. Still, a good blend with good performance.

I like it, it's fresh, subtle and invigorating. Having said that, it falls into comparison to CK one. CK you can get for 20€, so does Penhaligon's do better? Yes. Is it worth the price difference to accomodate the difference? No. If you have spare cash, go for it. It also has a fizzy aspect of a gin-tonic.

This opens up aromatic with the lavender, nutmeg and suede coming out very light to my nose. As it drys down however it becomes subdued as more lavender and suede with a hint of the florals come out. The projection on me is moderate, but the longevity is about two days as a skin scent so I can’t complain.

Not getting coffee, very aromatic and hot dusty leather with a typical Penhaligon old-hat Fougere charm. Going to make for a great night fragrance and I can see why it is compared La Nuit De L'Homme, really nice. At £45 for 100ml on sale, it cannot be sniffed at.

Smells fantastic for the 2 hours that it lasts. Complete rubbish longevity for the price you pay. It has a very classic smell but unless I got this for under $50 I wouldn’t buy it. That’s what it’s worth to me based on the lasting power, or lack there of.

This is a beautiful combination of lavender, bergamot and coffee, which smells soapy, clean and expensive. However, on me it lasts for about 10 minutes and the sillage is minimal.

its a really basic designer-ish smell to me. I mean its not bad, perfect for an all year around daily scent, but it just may not worth the price.
