Really nice honyed cinnamon tobacco. In the opening I get the tarragon and citrus and the ginger gives it a bit of zing. I never really understood the TF tobacco vanille comparison but after my 3rd wearing I noticed a similarity after a few hours, but for the most part, it does it's own thing. I like honey tobacco fragrances like vintage Kilian B2B but what I appreciate here is they didn't make it so sickly sweet, so it's easier for me to tolerate the opening compared to the Kilian. The rum is very subdued here but not nearly as faint as the brandy used in Lord George. I guess heavy booze just isn't part of Penhaligon's ethos, although gin is noticeable for a little while in Much Ado about Duke. Overall a strong release and I plan to nab a bottle at some point. I am a woman who loves floral dresses and red lipsticks and kitten heels and I have no qualms in admitting that I love wearing this perfume. In fact, I bought Clandestine Clara, The Blazing Mr. Sam and Roaring Radcliffe all at once and this turned out to be the best of the lot. On my skin this is sweet - the cinnamon amazingly smooth with that honey. It makes me think of a delicious concoction I would love to drink. The ginger offsets the sweetness beautifully. Once it settles down I get a hint of tobacco, but not much. When I wear this I feel like I am wrapped in a warm comforting cardigan that I want to pull closer around me. If a man wore this, I’m sure I’d want to keep sniffing them, over and over again. Sillage is intimate, which makes it even sexier in my opinion. After all, who doesn’t want to smell good enough to eat?

I've had the luck of buying this beauty a few days ago in a town near by, here in Italy. I've had a sample from the blue juice version and it was very spicy and sweet from the honey, loved it..but when i bought a full bottle, i got the Brown juice one, and oh my god, this is something unbelievable, Tobacco Vanille ? Yes, but is much classier, elegant. A bit gourmandish, but a smidge, nothing close to a full gourmand. It's spicy, with much more tobacco (early on is very dry on me) the honey gives it a comfortable feeling that envelopes you and into the dry down. This smells like late fall-winter-christmass, ginger bread and tobacco. Simply amazing. I love when perfumes houses take a famous fragrance and tweak it, refine it and put their own spin on it. 9.5/10

Tobacco Vanille by Tom Ford feels like a cigar that punches you in the throat, while this one is more like a thin, sweetened cigarette for ladies. Both share a tobacco note, but Roaring Radcliff is much sweeter and more refined. There's no soapiness from the beeswax, but it definitely has honey and leather. It reminds me of a bespoke leather watch strap I used only in winter, one that had absorbed some cigarette smoke back when I used to smoke. It's a very interesting and intriguing scent, the projection is not super strong though, Only you and someone sitting close to you can enjoy it for a few hours, and after that, you are forced to bury your nose into your skin to catch those sweet, smoky whiffs, I am not sure if that's a good or bad thing
