The Bewitching Yasmine

Imagine a beautiful dark-eyed, dark-haired gypsy woman who gives tarot readings out of her intricate wooden vardo, which is fitted with velvet curtains and strung beads in varying shades of purple and burgundy. Vanilla-scented candles light the table where your cards sit before you. Incense permeates the small space, and Turkish coffee is being prepared just outside the gypsy wagon. But mostly, this mystical heavy-lidded woman is sending out ghosts of her fine jasmine oil with every delicate movement she makes, warmed by the heat of her body which wears it. Her lips tell you of your walk in life with a smooth and intentional voice, but her eyes hide secrets; she knows you, but you'll never know her, no matter how badly you wished you could. You depart from your reading with a sense of wonderment, and every scent of the gypsy and her surroundings have etched themselves into your soul. The eyes of the mystic have followed you home. Every once in a while, I meet a fragrance that invokes strong imagery; The Bewitching Yasmine is definitely one of them. I love, love, love this. It's the smell of a woman who is so mysteriously sensual she doesn't even need to try. I'm able to detect every single note (mostly the incense, vanilla, and jasmine on me), and although this composition is a simple one, the payoff is stunning. The price is, well... stunning, also. Haha. But if I cannot find something else like this, it's worth buying. She is dancing away from you now She was just a wish She was just a wish And her memory is all that is left for you now You see your gypsy, oh You see your gypsy - Gypsy, by Fleetwood Mac. Edit : this is very close to replacing my signature scent of 15+ years. I will test Babylon and see which one I like better, since many say Babylon is comparable or better than this one. Edit 2 : Babylon doesn't compare much, it's lacking the sweetness of the jasmine in BY and doesn't last as long. Also, I got a sample of Aoud Vanille by Mancera for comparison purposes, and it only smells like the bottom notes of BY. Once again, AV doesn't have the sweet jasmine that BY has. But AV would make a great layering base for BY to extend the wear time since they share the same dry-down, ooorrrr... you could layer Aoud Vanille with a jasmine perfume (Fils de Joie, for example) to get a close rendition of BY that won't shred your wallet. Edit 3 : I tried layering SL's Fils de Joie over Mancera's Aoud Vanille and YES, it gave me a Bewitching Yasmine dupe.

I want to write my review right now because I think in totally different way about this like many others and maybe this gives a different perspective for someone who is trying to understand what kind of the scent is this. I like this scent a lot and since I was a little bit disappointed with the Portraits line this was the one which pop out and I liked this, after two weeks I love this. My problem just was that I found this similar to something I already have. I was thinking and thinking and finally I found it: Initio’s Psychedelic Love. I know, there is REALLY different notes in those two and vanilla can’t explain the similarity which I smell in any kind of way. I don’t know how I can feel like this and if anyone feels the same? I just know that the opening and the dry down smells similar: PL is more intensive, deeper, more narcotic and long lasting while BY is all the time from the opening until the end more soft and weaker. The one thing why I write this review now: I was reading reviews after testing this now during two weeks and I don’t find anything similar to MFK Oud Satin Mood. OSM is powdery, oud vanilla rose and all those notes are in balance and you can really easily tell what is going there without reading the notes anywhere. In BY there is oud and there is vanilla but not even vanilla is so obvious. There is many notes beautifully blended in BY and I love both scents and if you own another one you definitely need to get your nose to another because those are TOTALLY different scents, beautiful different kind of scents. And if you like another one it’s not so obvious that you like both. For me the big question is: do I need “a weaker version” of Psychedelic Love? Those are definitely not the same but the smell in my left and right wrist appears pretty similar. I hope someone got the idea, my English is not so perfect though. I don’t know how it’s possible, but The Bewitching Yasmine has a paint/nail polish background to my nose, especially in the opening. This scent is an acquired taste and I think it’s the Laotian oud in it. It’s indeed a sweet vanilla with spices and some coffee mixed in the blend and it’s gorgeous, but I can’t unsmell the paint undertone. It is there to stay throughout the entire length of this perfume wear. It’s a perfume that’s both appealing and unappealing in the same time. The combo of incence and sweet vanilla grants its a gorgeous vibe, but the oud almost ruins it for me. I’ll say it as I feel it, it’s a bit of a stinky oud... On the positive side, The Bewitching Yasmine is more rich, more radiant and longer lasting than Changing Constance and Heartless Helene. If you like this, you’ll have an amazing oudy, spicy, vanilla with beautiful performance! As a first impression, I am not sure if The Bewitching Yasmine is for me personally! I can acknowledge it is a very well done perfume even though it’s not exactly my style of vanilla. And from the five feminine targeted perfumes included in the Scent Library, The Bewitching Jasmine is the only one that objectively is a good value for money! The rest smell very nice and are super mass appealing, but are quite light and need reapplication to be able to smell them the entire day! Edit: 8 hours later, after a shower, I can still smell this scent, as a skin scent now. This is really a nice one! Would highly recommend.

This is my new obsession. I was looking into witchy perfumes, then remembered I had this sample and it hit exactly what I was looking for. The cardamom is the star of the opening, and it takes a while to settle. You get a smokiness from the incense, but that warm woody kind of smoke exactly like burning incense, not the fake smoke scent I’ve been scared of finding in any fragrances with a smoke or incense note since trying one house that did it wrong. The vanilla gets stronger in the dry down, but you still get the other notes. It’s like you walk into a hidden gemstone shop in a small town, it’s got old wooden furniture everywhere and there’s layers of incense soaked into the wood but fresh incense still burning. The shop sells soy wax candles and when you stand in front of them you get a whiff of vanilla essence mixing with the other smells. I could clearly smell this on my wrists after a full sleep and I only did one spray on each. Sad thing is I know it’s not suitable for the heat so I’ll have to wait til it cools down to wear it properly. And the price, £200+ is not in my price range but I will be keeping an eye out for a reseller.

Bewitching Yasmine feels exactly like its name suggests — seductive, mysterious, and quietly powerful. This is not a polite jasmine, and it’s certainly not innocent. It opens dark, warm, and slightly spicy, with a richness that immediately feels evening-ready and intentional. The jasmine here is deep and velvety rather than airy. It’s wrapped in incense-like warmth, creamy woods, and a soft sweetness that never tips into gourmand. There’s something smoky and almost animalic underneath, giving it a sensual, slow-burn quality that lingers rather than announces itself. On my skin, it feels luxurious and enveloping — the kind of scent that clings to fabric, hair, and memory. It evolves beautifully over time, becoming smoother and more intimate, like a secret shared after sunset. This is jasmine for someone who doesn’t want to smell “pretty,” but captivating. Longevity is excellent, and the sillage is confident without being overwhelming. It’s a night-time fragrance for colder months, special occasions, or when you want to feel a little dangerous in the best possible way. Bewitching Yasmine doesn’t flirt — it casts a spell.

So, I actually blind bought this fragrance for my girlfriend based on the notes and the beautiful bottle (she loves cats). I’m revisiting the Bewitching Yasmine after having tried just about every fragrance from the Portraits collection and can fortunately say that I dodged the bullet with this purchase because I find most from the collection to be incredibly underwhelming for the price both in terms of scent and performance. The Bewitching Yasmine is my favorite from the feminine leaning releases (#2 goes to Changing Constance), though I would say it could also comfortably be worn by men. It opens with a strong kick from the cardamom with a hint of coffee, reminding me of Intoxicated by Kilian—a bit too spicy for my personal preference, but it calms down as the fragrance dries down. Jasmine is another prominent note that joins with incense to create an alluring sense of mystique. Penhaligon's also happens to have some of the best vanilla I've smelled, up there with Guerlain, and it adds an addictive, not too cloying sweetness to this wonderful creation. In summary; I'm happy with this one and thankfully so is she.

I know I am late to the game but boy oh boy is this an amazing discovery for me. I am not into boozy nor gourmand nor spicy perfumes so I was avoiding this one as I was prejudiced against it. Could not have been more wrong and surprised about how much i LOVE this. It is perfectly unisex - maybe marginally feminine leaning - with a slight sweet and spicy twist: nothing too overwhelming nor too decidedly gourmand, neither churchy. The jasmine is there front and center but never too feminine nor indolic. Just a sexy, muted presence that feels cool and collected, mature but not vintage and supported by an oud that is never animalic and reads more like a soft, sweet leather - suede maybe - throughout the entire experience. The coffee and cardamom are present but barely there: more like a benevolent ghostly presence to lend balance and somehow an airy yet warm facet. The lasting power is insane - more than 8 hrs on my skin and longer than that on my clothes. Intoxicatingly addictive and not for the faint of heart. Full bottle worthy and willing to pay the expensive price for it. Cannot stop thinking about it.

(This is my second review as I’ve finally got my first full bottle - no more preserving testers!) I don’t think I’ll buy any other perfume again. This is the one: sultry sweet smoke full of elegance and allure. The definition of black cat energy like the bottle suggests. The juice itself sat like bitter wine, exactly what I think a 1930s dame would smell like. Cigarette kisses sweet with the vanilla syrup in her drink. A melting boozy spell. Yasmine is who I have always longed to be, and when I wear her I become my most confident self. Penhaligons atomisers are so perfect. As for the price, she is expensive for sure. It’s taken me over a year to get around to my full bottle. But let me tell you, no copy ever captures that deep vanilla rum base. It’s a small price to pay if you love it as much as I do. An absolute masterpiece. I see many say this isn’t an everyday fragrance, which I understand but disagree. Just one spray and you will certainly make an impression on those around you. Not for the faint of heart, but a delicious gift of elixir for those who dare.

I have long used Fragrantica reviews as my perfume bible to explore and test new scents. The comments and reviews have gone so right so many times (Musc Ravageur, my signature scent) and wrong only once (Black Orchid, a syrupy sweet headache) so when I first bought The Bewitching Yasmine I knew I had to make an account to pay it forward and leave my first review. This perfume is perfect. I cannot fault it. Its the scent I have been searching for my entire life. Its the femme fatale, its sex appeal, its the woman/person you want to be. The vanilla is grown up, not anything like the imitation vanilla shoved in every celebrity perfume. The coffee is like that boujee coffee shop you go in sometimes to treat yourself because they have the best croissants and its a social faux pas to order anything with milk. And hours later (5-6 on my skin) youre left with a stunning, stunning oud. I have never been so torn as to save this for the most special occasions, or drown myself in it every day. Buy this perfume. Or dont, so Im the best smelling person in the room.

I haven’t smelled anything quite like this! The wood and incense are light in a way that’s rare in a perfume. I’ve been trying out a bunch of Penhaligons from a discovery set and this is the first one that I really love. Not all of their fragrances smell this special. The longevity is great too which I can’t say for all of their scents. Some of this collection I feel lack longevity but this one is amazing. To me it opens with a bit of gormaund and a little jasmine, then you get the incense and oud which remains lighter than in most, light enough that vanilla and floral comes through even after hours! This might be proof that occasionally expensive perfume is worth the price! Love it! And they put this winner in a bottle with a golden cat top!?! A best seller that deserves the hype in my opinion and I hope I can afford a bottle someday. Just blew me away! I am skeptical that there will be a good clone as this smells so special, but if you know of a good one that’s available I’d buy it in one second. For now I’m saving my coins for the real thing.

The Bewitching Yasmine really is bewitching, seductive and gorgeous I absolutely did not expect to enjoy this by reading about it beforehand, but I am very happy to be very incorrect. I found the opening very gourmand. I wanted to lick my arm. The warmth of the spices, cardamom and maybe some nutmeg, dancing around some wonderfully creamy vanilla, tea and salted caramel. Ugh gorgeous. Generally I would steer clear of anything described in that way, out of fear of a cloying, sickly sweetness. And there absolutely is sweetness here, but it is so intricately blended and balanced, I have absolutely no issue with it. Underneath is a wonderful, rich, authentic incense. My brain keeps coming back to the phrase, 'opium den'. I think it's the warmth, intoxication, addictiveness and light smokiness. As she dries down, the freshness within the spices settles down. Any gender could and SHOULD wear this. VERDICT: I think I just fell in love with Yasmine.

This to me is pure magic. I don't usually fall in love with perfumes at first snif, but this hit me so hard. Let me start by saying I have a pretty big coleciton. I always thought the idea of a signature scent was not for me; I like changing it up a lot. But somehow since I got this, everytime i'm not wearing it, I crave it. It's like I half expect my skin to smell like it. Onto how it actually smells: The opening is a super sweet sticky syrup. Medicinal, deep, dark. Super strong. Smells like cough syrup but somehow in a sexy, good way. Then the dry down is my favorite part. It's like this syrup was cooking at first, and now you get a whiff of the smoke coming from it. Incense, jasmine, still sweet, but less. More smoky. Projection is moderate, but it lasts forever on me. I can see this being a polarazing fragrance, however. Very much a love it or hate it. Also, I adore the bottle and the juice liquid.

I am a practicing Witch, however I did not buy this due to the name - I got a sample when I bought Ruthless Countess. It just so happened I LOVED the name. This is all I will wear, as I cast circle on a midsummer's eve, with sweet incense burning amongst the smoky candles, and the hint of jasmine in the air swirls around a nearby creamy spicy coffee. Have you ever bought a fragrance, and thought 'this is it' You adore the smell so intensely that you have to top it up every 12 hours. You adore the dry down, you adore how it changes on your skin and you adore how everyone passing by declares 'what's that gorgeous smell??' At the end of its wearing, you put your wrists right up to your nose to take in the lingering remnants. Added bonus that your significant other asks to smell it too, or is he just wanting to smell me? Whatever. I am a witch, and this is my scent.

Yummmm love this so much -- I've smelled literally no other jasmine fragrance like this one, and that's why it holds the a special place in my collection. It's unique as all heck, and deliciously cozy. It opens boldly grape. A sweet, juicy plummy grape jasmine, that which is soon draped in a dark, velvet cloak of honey and mulling spices. It's sweet, yet fresh. Fully present, but never cloying; always fascinating in character. The listed cardamom, coffee, vanilla is not indicative of my olfactory journey. It reads more like grape jasmine, smokey red wine and oud, coumarin and vanilla-spice infused honey. A romantic paradox, or a fragrance riddle. It's possible for one to dislike vanilla yet still love this smell, as it's not overwhelming the fragrance. Some British houses are criminally underrated -- I can only urge you to try the magic on yourself.🐈⬛🪄✨🔮

This perfume is not a like, but a love for me, mainly due to the fact that it doesn't push the rose-oud button for the million time and has a mesmerizing jasmine instead. I have seen that some people don't detect the floral note, but it seems I am one of the lucky ones who do. Additionally, the spice mix is powerful without disturbing my nostrils, so the dance between oud, cardamom and jasmine is fantastic. Longevity and projection are very good in my case (a whole day of duration + 4 or 5 hours of significant projection), so this scent checks another important box for me. It is very pricey, but I managed to buy it with a 30% discount during a local Black Friday campaign of a niche brand store and the resulting final price was not bad at all. Would I repurchase it? Yes, even for the full retail price. A 10/10 fragrance for sure!

this is the perfect witchy scent 💜🧙🌿 it opens incredibly sweet and thick, almost syrup like, though this only lasts about 15 minutes. from the start it’s warm, cosy, and spicy, it’s an ideal fragrance for autumn and winter. the longer you let it settle, the more beautiful it becomes. the jasmine remains present throughout, but once the coffee note emerges, it’s sooo yummy. It makes me feel like i’m relaxing inside a witch’s cottage, slowly sipping coffee while incense burns in the background and herbal candles flicker nearby. the room is filled with tapestries, antiques, and plants, all blending into the scent and adding to its magic. as it dries down it leans more into pure incense, softened by a sweet, creamy vanilla and a sharp touch of oud. longevity is on the shorter side, lasting around 2–3 hours in total.

The dry down is extremely beautiful, warm, delicious, feminine, and inviting. I am obsessed with the dry down in which I find the notes to be subtle but well blended. And it makes me sad because I do not really enjoy the opening which is very aromatic, in a medicinal way... think Vicks vaporub. It's a 7/10 overall. It would be a 10/10 if the opening was friendly and not so in your face. Edit: Okay, after a few weeks, the scent in the sample changed a bit and the off-putting opening got significantly milder and shorter... I am now in love with the fragrance! To me I mainly smell a bit of the medinical cardamom, a pleasant oud and strong incense as well as a combination of vanilla + coffee which comes off a bit chocolate-y on my skin. Though it is so incense-y that it may not be very wearable for a lot people

You are walking through a forest of firs at dusk. It’s winter time, and there is a smell of thick incense and smoke carried in the air. You’re making the journey home, carrying with you the things you have bought that day at the market. A basket filled with Jasmine, vanilla pods, silks and a small pot of coffee beans. The air is crisp and cold- but you feel warm, wrapped in furs and the scent of spices. The longevity and projection is amazing with this and definitely gets me complimented although it's not for everyone. My favourite fragrance so far. She really is bewitching. Definitely more of a late autumn or winter scent for me. On my skin she is beautifully sweet and spicy at the same time, smoky but not overpowering. Wafts of incense and Jasmine in between woody oud and vanilla. Very mysterious.

I understand that everyone's impression of a fragrance can differ hugely, and the 'this reminds me of' section is too troll laden to ever be reliable, but this does not smell like MFK Oud Satin Mood. The oud used is possibly the same type, but that's as far as the similarities go. OSM contains a LOT of rose which gives it a slight Turkish delight impression, It's also quite sweet with Benzoin and Vanilla. I can't agree that it is anywhere near an 'exact' match with The Bewitching Yasmine which is spicy with cardamon, incense, coffee and fir. Jasmine Sambac and vanilla do lift the composition but don't lend much sweetness to it. In contrast, OSM is very rosy. If you want a near exact dupe for The Bewitching Yasmine, Istanbul by Gallivant is the closest I've come so far.

I am in love with this scent. To me, this fragrance strikes a perfect balance: it's spicy but smooth, smoky but creamy, syrupy but not sticky, bold but not too heavy. Equal parts spicy, sweet and smoky. The cardamom opening is a bit harsh for my liking but when it dries down the spice falls back to reveal the other notes, all of which can be identified. Rose and oud is a well loved pairing but oh my god, the jasmine and oud together in this fragrance is so wonderful. The jasmine note is very clear and other notes really bring out its' rich, musky, carnal sweetness. The fir and coffee notes add a lovely supporting role here as well. I would say it's feminine leaning but unisex. Not too overwhelming to wear on a Fall and Winter's day, IMO.

Working my way through the Portraits samples, and so far this is my favorite of the 'feminine' scents, and I would definitely consider this 'unisex' if you're into gendering scents. Complex vanilla- oud compbo with a nice spiciness I suppose from the cardamom. I think I can see how some might find it slightly medicinal, my guess is that's the fir note coming through, but I really like it. Keeps it from being sickly sweet. I'll see how long it lasts, as I have been disappointed with the longevity of a number of the Portraits. I just realized as I was about to submit this, this smells very familiar, and though I like it I think it is maybe just a toned down, softer version of spicebomb extreme, which I love (and is much cheaper).

Ooh! Yasmine! You ARE bewitching! This is the first time I have sampled a perfume from Penhalgion, and I am definitely under the spell of this beauty. In many ways, she reminds me of vintage Poison. Not so much as a smell but rather as a feeling, like you are wearing a potent tool of seduction that must be yielded with discretion, lest it overwhelm and cause the spell to backfire! I need to study her more to really understand the notes at play here, but my sample is so small and it may be a while before I can add this to my collection. In the meantime, I will save what I have and only use it on the nights when I want to be suggestive and seductive. This is an oud I can, and do, love. I will own this some day!

Brave the first notes and you’ll be in for a nice surprise. The Bewitching Yasmine has a strong spicy top sniff - it can be too strong for comfort but give it a few minutes to develop into what it was meant to be. A few minutes on my clothes and the essence of coffee and cardamom becomes obvious, topped with light vanilla and jasmine . The floral notes are very light. The cardamom is obvious and the coffee eventually turns into just a hint. Some might say that this is best for cold-weather shenanigans but I do not mind smelling like this on a nice spring day. Not for school or office . Age 35-65 (mature!) If you enjoy scents like Stronger With You, Althaïr and Spicebomb, you will enjoy this one.

This smells nearly identical to Lune Feline by Atelier des Ors to my nose. I don't get any coffee or jasmine from my sample (direct from Penhaligon's in a sample set), mostly cardamom, vanilla, and woody notes. You can check out my review of Lune Feline for a more poetic description of the scent, but overall it's a warm, slightly spicy, moderately sweet, deep, feminine vanilla scent great for cold weather. Not truly a gourmand, but delicious nonetheless. This fragrance came out after Lune Feline, so I would have to say it's pretty derivative, and at a higher price point as well. If you love this but don't love the price tag, give Atelier des Ors' original a try. 9/10.

This perfume is an amazing creamy smoky oud... love it!! The Oud, Cardamom and Vanilla are wonderfully present... the Coffee and Incense are magnificently blended lending their particular aromas without overpowering the rest... the Jasmine and Fir could not be detected, at least not on my skin. Imagine yourself at the end of the most amazing dinner... your dessert arrives and it’s the most decadent smoked salty vanilla confection... that’s what The Bewitching Yasmine is. Projection is moderate for the first hour, then it becomes intimate... Longevity is between 5 to 6 hours... Penhaligon’s is not great with performance, and unfortunately this perfume is no exception.

What’s not to like? Cardamom, good. Jasmine, gooood. Incense, gooooooood. I don’t get the negative reviews but to each their own of course. This might be my favorite fragrance of all time. It’s soooo seductive and sexy but not in a “I want others to see me as sexy” way, but in a “I know myself and my worth and I am confident and don’t care about what others think” kind of way, if that makes any sense. It gives me so much confidence, power and it really helps with my low esteem issues. Stretched out my sample for ages and finally splurged in a FB. I can’t be happy without this in my collection.💛 It lasts and projects and I wear it in any season and at any time.

This fragrance has quickly became my favorite, knocking my number 1 off of it's pedestal. I wish I discovered this sooner. I ordered the Portraits Collection discovery set and this and few other feminine scents I instantly fell in love with. After wearing this for just a few hours, I went to the website and purchased the full bottle. I love how this fragrance/this brand hasn't gone viral on social media and I hope it stays that way, honestly. I hold this dear to my heart and something so special you don't want to share with everyone. So, if you also love this fragrance let's just keep it near and dear...and if you know, (lucky you) you know! ;)

I got the portrait collection discovery kit and was unfortunately disappointed with at least half of them, but I'm sure I like Yasmin the most among them. Cool cardamom-encrusted coffee and warm vanilla scented incense. Jasmine elegantly connects them. The development of the change of fragrance is also interesting, and it is a perfume that gives you a sense of depth. At first, I felt that the Mouette was too sweet, but for some reason, it didn't overpower the skin, and the vanilla was the base in the back. It has sweetness, floral scent, and incense scent, and I feel that it suits women in their 30s and over with a bewitching atmosphere.

**Disclaimer** I am a straight-up lay-person with no olfactory pedigree who dropped hella bank on a lil bottle of Yasmine to commemorate a fantastic trip to London. Cool that this interesting combination exists in the form of a perfume. Why did I buy it? Because it has quite a spectrum of moods--it is very sweet, smoky, woody, and gourmand. Just beautiful. The scent lasts and lasts. I think this one is perfect for fall and winter. It has the warmth and sweetness of a spiced blend, and I get some Port Wine vibes, too. This scent will definitely keep me on my toes in New England when Winter comes for our throats!!

An extremely rich, decadent vanilla with the most enchanting scent... Like some of the reviewers below, I agree that it has a sort of bewitching, witchy, sultry vibe to it that is evocative of a lady in the mystic arts. Perfect if you were to pursue the embodiment of such aesthetics. The oud develops to become more prominent as it settles down, I’d say. This is perfect to wear whilst reading or tellling magical, dark fairytale stories to your companions or children at night, especially of the oriental variety (the stories, that is).

Its a beautiful perfume, perfectly suited for colder weather. I tried it in person, and upon initial sniff, thought it was okay. I kept smelling the tester, and over the next minute, thought, okay this is nice. Wait. Its actually so good. Wait, I love this, and immediately ordered a full bottle. Its a really smooth easy introduction into oud for those who may not be familiar with or huge fans of oud fragrances. The only downside is that it really doesnt last long, but I plan to carry some in an atomizer for repeat application.

Such a wonderful feminine oud and vanilla fragrance that is so beautifully blended. The oud is polite and smooth, the vanilla warm but not sweet. Very minimal smokiness which is great for if you’re shy of incense fragrances. Unique and unlike anything else I can compare it to. However it is extremely hard to just the price! I have thoroughly enjoyed wearing my decant but won’t be purchasing for this reason. It sure is a stunner but not overly special enough to be full bottle worthy at the price.

Oh my lord. This is literally bewitching. I want a full bottle so bad. It's marketed as a women's fragrance but I love it and wear the hell out of my tiny sample. It's kinda hard to describe. I do get the coffee, but it is not prominent enough to make you think "yeah, that's coffee." It kinda sits in the background and adds a rich depth to the already luscious vanilla-y sweetness. It's spiced, sweet in a sophisticated and opulent way, and draws me in more than pretty much any other fragrance.

Lovely rich, vanilla-oud jasmine. Smells like a very rich, sweet honey-esque, honeysuckle-esque oudy vanilla jasmine. it works surprisingly well. Lovely rich, delicious perfume. The florals are quite prominent first, but it settles to a sweet vanilla oud after a while. The oud is not very strong, very well blended into the sweet vanilla. Quite of a lovely scent. I would say amazing for autumn and winter. Definitely more of an evening scent, too. I can see myself wearing it.

Oh Bewitching Yasmine how I just adore you. She’s sweet but don’t let that fool you. She’s a gorgeous spicy oud with a jasmine heart. Waves of cardamom with a delicious lick able vanilla dry down. This is Florence Welch Dancing on stage in a long black gown, wrapped in candlelight, singing Dream Girl Evil. She casts a spell on the crowd and twirls her hand and spins to the penetrating beating of drums and guitar. Everything I wish to evoke.

Now this perfume is unbelievably sexy for a lady. The vanilla goes so well with this peppery spice that comes through. Like this perfume is how I think Rihanna would smell like, like this confident warm queen that has these alluring eyes. She's definitely got some moderate sillage but she doesn't need to be loud to recognize her presence. It's not exactly my type of scents but 100% appreciated. Zodiac Trio ⬆️Scorpio ☀️Pisces 🌜Aries

I hate jasmine but I love this for the 30-45 minutes or so.. The jasmine very much takes a backseat to the vanilla, oud, and incense. The cardamom hit at first is great if you love cardamom, but it fades pretty quick if you don't. This hits similarly to Kayali's Vanilla Oud but a bit spicier. After the first hour or so I hate this... it fades to a sweaty oud-fest that even the vanilla can't shut up. I dislike that.

Bewitching indeed. I love this scent. This is mysterious, seductive, gothic, and the ultimate dark feminine fragrance. The fir in the heart adds this slight touch of aromatics, which I think is totally called for. I find this blend of notes so intriguing, especially since I'm usually not a big fan of jasmine, but it really works for me. It's blended quite well, as I find most Penhaligon's fragrances are.

I absolutely love this scent, but it lasts next to no time on me. I was surprised to see that others rated it as longer lasting. I lose it far more quickly than I feel I should with this expensive a product. It makes me sad. Maybe I will just carry a full bottle with me and reapply every five minutes until I have to declare bankruptcy. I certainly love it enough to want to smell like it all day...

Testing my sample; smoked coffee beans roasted in a gourmand-leaning vanilla and oud oil. Hints of jasmine provide a lovely floral compliment, keeps all the aforementioned notes in balance. Perfect for autumn and winter, creates a lovely shell around the body. Not a strong projector, but it's past 3 hours and my sample is still very much there on my inner wrist. Full bottle worthy.

All i get is Spicy Jasmine & incense ... I'm not put off by the spiciness as I feel like its a motif of this Portraits line ( see Changing Constance as well) ... However how about some saffron? Or something sweeter? I feel like that would have gone better than smelling like gingerbread after the florals go .. Conflicted - that's how I can summarise this scent & a bit dissapointed

Beautiful for fall and winter. My 4 year old daughter has complimented me on this twice so it must be crowd pleasing. She says it smells of marshmallow. I get that. It is a sweet, woody, vanilla scent. Of all my collection in this profile - Ensence Suave, By the Fireplace, Shalimar, Absolute Aphrodisiac - this is my favourite. Just a fantastic blend. Well done Penhaligons.

Truly bewitching. The first spray is like casting a thick, sweet spell, drying down into a spicy oud, incense smell on the skin. The Bewitching Yasmine makes me feel like a forest witch under cover of darkness; deep, sexy, alluring and powerful. I adore the unique feline bottle and the amber, wooden color of the liquid. A unique signature fragrance for the witchy woman.

Probably one of my favourites in the collection. The beginning is a nice warm spice with strong oud. A little be medicine-y but that how oud usually smells for me. The dry down was a soft, not sickly sweet vanilla that oddly smelt like a really high quality paw paw cream. Couldn’t smell any jasmine notes but still a really good perfume! Shame its so expensive.

Jasmine, vanilla, coffee, a whiff of smoke, beautifully blended, what a combination. Hypnotically sexy and alluring without being 'cheap'. For nights out, competes with the likes of Grand Soir, Plum Japonais, Alien Essence Absolue, SDV, and may even top the lot. Great performance too, not a choke out, but so well balanced. An outstanding perfume. 5/5

This perfume is addictive. It’s a sultry, smoky, warm berry-esque smell that captivated upon first sniff and keep you coming back for more. The oud gives it a strong leathery note which mellows out into a more balanced woody vanilla spice overtime. I’d wear this anytime of day honestly but the night is where this one will shine. Highly recommend!

The only perfume I will wear for the rest of my life - once I get my hands on a full size bottle. She is a fragrance that will adapt with you to every stage of life and she will instil fiery power in you while doing so. So beautiful I could cry, she’s allowed me to step into the sultry skin I’ve dreamed of walking in.

A silky tangy, sweet and a bit earthy fantasy. As hard to describe as it is to grasp the seductive femme fatale this fragrance embodies. After a couple minutes, it dries down to a more grounded floral, bringing you closer and deeper. Very comforting and delicate, and at the same time dark, smoky, and mysterious.

It is sweet and rich, with slight intriguing touch of animalic and civet (am surprised no one mentioned it). Super rich oud + resinous amber and sweet incensy balsam. The asian ingredients create mystery, intelligence, and sensuality in her character. It is epitome of warm sophistication in a winter. 9/10

One of my favourite perfumes , warm , spicy and sweet. I personally feel like it doesn't last that long so not really worth the price but unfortunately i haven't found anything similar its very unique so I will most likely be repurchasing this
