Pepe Jeans Black Is Now For Him

Opens ups with pops of citrus from the Italian mandarin and immediately get the nutmeg and hazelnut. Very sweet and sensual but familiar and uninspired. In the mid you start to smell lavender and coffee. The lavender sits beneath, a creamy, frothy coffee. The coffee for some reason seems like a cold one, in the vein of a frap, light roasted and nutty. To me this coffee has a bit of coconut in it (perhaps why I get a cold coffee vibe) and reminds me a bit of Jean Paul Gaultier Le Beau, which I personally love. In the drydown the coffee starts to get vanillic and the two sit side by side like best buddies. The patchouli is detectable but subtle to my nose. I'm not too sure about performance yet, but the scent while unoriginal, is very sexy, sensual and inviting. I give the scent 8.5/10. This fragrance is definitely a head turner and an attention getter. Must have? Not necessarily, but definitely a must try!!

Beautiful hazelnut and coffee combo!

A very good underrated fragrance with great Coffee/Hazelnut. This does smell very similar to Salvatore Ferragamo Uomo & can confirm that this lasts 8+ hours on my skin. Superb scent under £20 if you can track it down. Easily 10/10 scent for the price, as it seems Uomo is getting much more expensive these days.

The only Pepe Jeans fragrance that doesn't smell horrible, yet I still don't like it. As with all the other Pepe Jeans frags, it's characterized by smelling sour. Primarily smells like synthetic lemon and coffee, with a hint of hazelnut, not much else. Might be somewhat pleasing to some, from a distance. Not good for date night, when you might get close. If you are looking for something with similar notes to what this is supposed to have, but pulled off much better, try Salvatore Ferragamo Uomo, or Uomo Signature.

Tried it a local drugstore. Sprayed on my wrist. Was repulsed by it at first - it smelled pungent, bitter, sour and somewhat dirty. Peppery almost with hints of dark chocolate. To my surprise, after 5 mins it settles down to a beautiful composition. It smells like dark chocolate, coffee and dry woods. Almost smoky feeling with somewhat animalistic note if that makes any sense, cranberry note. It's not sweet and is good for colder climate, evenings. Perhaps cranberry without sweetness note that I sense is actually Patchouli. This is one of those rare times, when a fragrance has to settle down to really open up its notes. This fragrance has almost niche quality to it. I am still surprised how repulsive it has been initially and what an interesting composition it actually is. I own Guerlain Homme Ideal, and these two can be seen as cousins, but not in terms of notes, but in terms of potency and certain depth, substance. Very, very interesting fragrance. Not for everyone, not a blind buy, but a small masterpiece, despite it's off-putting initial impression.

This is my favourite release, got them all.. As one said "super rare super nice" got myself a few bottles! I get Green Apples to start with for some reason then Hazelnut, Coffee, Lavender with some Vanilla around it's edges.. (it's not much different from pepe jeans for him)

To me this just smells like a really nice shower gel. Much more sporty smelling than I imagined from the notes, but not unpleasant. I got it for a fiver so I’m not complaining!
