HC6 Sándalo

I found this gem of a fragrance while on a anniversary trip to Los Cabos. We stayed in the Nobu Resort which had a small cute boutique with this brand being sold there, not thinking much of it I smelled the whole Perfumerica collection there and instantly fell in love with HC6 Sandalo from this brand. Being ignorant i didn’t actually buy it right there and there, but decided to just get a sample, and through each test wear i had with it, it reminded me so much of Satal 33 by Le Labo. Living in the states this company doesn’t ship to the USA, but luckily i ran into a website that will ship it to the USA, if anyone is interested the website is called Nomad Chic, just google it and you’ll find it lol to sum it all up, this is a great alternative to Santal 33 if you are on a budget, a very solid one dare i say. Yes you can smell the violet and warm amber but this is pure Sandalwood at its core and body, it can be strong at first but subtle too, don’t over spray, one or two sprays is more than enough to have a very pleasant experience, i’ve had many compliments wearing this fragrance. I assure you won’t regret buying this gem.

Freshly cut wood and tree sap. How does this have no reviews? What a diamond in the rough!!! My husband gave it to me for my birthday when he woke me up in the morning. At first I thought it was too heavy. But later during the day I came back to the room and the couple of sprays on the blotter alone were enough to create the most delightful crispy, warm, woody aura. After that I knew I had to give it a try and... I fell in love. Albeit it isn't an everyday perfume it works wonderfully in the cold. It's mysterious and "brown" enough to be perfect for autumn. It makes me think of a resinous forest and dried leaves. Something in the background gives it a smokey feeling. It feels smart and sophisticated. Perfectly unisex, though it does lean "masculine". Longevity and projection are also magnificent! One of those hard-to-find fragrances that are worth more than you pay for.

Definitely is a more affordable version of santal 33. I was looking for a sandalwood that I can use to layer under a few of my other fragrances to bring out the woodiness in them and this is lovely. I first sampled them at osswalds in nyc and soon ordered it. Very straight forward (a little pickle-y but in a more pleasant way than santal 33). I love that this is very affordable for such good quality

Very strong sandalwood and cederwood notes. This is all I get from this. It is a bit nauseating to me. I put it on my boyfriends arm and it lasted all day but I did not enjoy it on him. As I have never smelled santal 33, I am unable to compare but it might be a good and natural choice for santalwood lovers. It might work better as layering scent though.

It’s a fine enough dupe for Santal 33 if that’s what you want. Better they get the money than Estée Lauder anyways
