Samba Kiss Me

Alongside Tommy Girl, this was my first ever fragrance. Oh my! Kiss Me Samba is BEAUTIFUL. I remember the frosted, red bottle that had the stamp of a kiss towards the bottom of it. So 90s! It smells like fruit punch. Like a box of the fruity gummy Dots candies. It smells like your mother cut up all of your favorite fruits and put them in a bowl in front of you. It’s so juicy and ripe. It gives me the feeling of smelling red fruits, berries, oranges, and pineapple. Like a ginormous fruit salad that you can smell from 5 feet away. I would say it’s perfect for a young girl, or heck... even a woman! Hahah. It’s such a beautiful, timeless feminine scent. It smells like the color red!

There is a men's version of this one, though it's not listed on fragrantica, so I'll put my review of it here. Lime seems to be the dominant note for quite a while, yet clearly woods are present, along with a moderately sweet element (my guess is some combination of vanilla, amber, benzoin, or whatever). Also, there is clearly a spice note, and I'm guessing a little lavender. And that's about it, as far as the dominant notes are concerned. It's not powdery, at least not like Diesel's Zero Plus au Masculin, and it's not quite as dense as Jaipur Homme EdP (which has stronger spice but no strong lime). So I guess this is a fresh, woody oriental. It's reasonably natural smelling, especially considering what it's been selling for recently. Due to the lime, presumably, it has a "cooler" quality than other, similar fragrances.

This is chock full of harsh, artificial (and unlisted) floral notes. I purchased this for the fruity notes, wanting something that smells like fruit punch. This is not it. I do like Samba as I find it to be a fun, nostalgic brand, but this perfume wasn’t what I was looking for.
