Unzipped Woman

I have this since years, used poorely, dunno why exactly, maybe got others more expensiv to wear. i don t even know where i did buy this because this is not sold anywhere in my country actually and at these times when i bought this (10-15 years ago) i had no internet yet... i found it ranging my house deeply hidden in my bathroom storage and i got some spritz of it to see if it's still okay and i must say it was! it s a very comfy unusual and quite intriguing scent, but still casual enough for daytime and office wear. i can smell flowers with chocolate, uncomplicated and so yummy. the scent is really delicious and no cheap smell at all regarding the low price a positive surprise. i would say it has a big similarity to Avon's Extraordinary which one ingredients magnolia and chocolate too, but this one is not as sweet and sticky, lighter to wear in warmer weather too. i was looking for some new bottle in the internet and find out there is a new version of unzipped range out, called Unzipped Universe. but coudn t find yet where to buy less overseas and this is quite expensiv to ship. so i passed over it.

Again i came across ths lil' gem in my perfume wardrob. Remaining just a little, i m still craving for a new bottle of it, but only found it on amazon 30ml for 50,00 what s insane, because i have the 50ml bottle and i m shure to have got it cheaply in a drugstore more than 15 years ago labeled "samba perfumes". The perfume is so well blendet, bitter chocolate with powdery iris along with delicate sweet flowers. Very yummy natural scented, yet modern perfume and it lasts.... If someone knows where to buy, pls send me pm. Thnx

I mostly smell Jasmine and Magnolia upfront with the dark chocolate and rose in the background. My husband said it smells as maple syrup on me. On my skin, it lasts approximately six hours and clothes approximately twelve hours; sillage is about six feet. Too bad they discontinued this hidden gem.

My husband has had a 7ml splash bottle of this for so long (since the early 90s?) he can't remember how it came to be in his home. It's the same bottle, except the name is "Samba Unzipped", which makes me think it is an early version of this perfume. He used it as an aftershave without knowing anything about it, just instinctively liking its scent. I must say it suits him perfectly -- I perceived it as one in the genre of Obsession for Men: darkly vanillic, with a freshness that could be citrus, and in this post-aquatic fragrance era, something made for an older man, not a young snake-hipped stud. Imagine my surprise to find it here among the women's fragrances. Yet I recognize the notes, which must have rearranged themselves somehow over time and contact with his skin: the bitter black chocolate most of all, and perhaps the iris and jasmine. A wonderful, dignified fragrance on him.

Maybe I need to douse myself because with normal application can barely detect it on myself. Probably not still in production? ---------- Update: definitely powdery and seems light on me, maybe some notes are hard for me to detect? I wear it occasionally and not unpleasant. As I recall I ordered this online as part of a quest for an affordable dark chocolate perfume, and the notes sounded interesting. -------------------------- Maybe I just naturally smell like flowers & chocolate, explaining why I have trouble detecting this one? :)

An past review. A few years ago they gave me a couple of mini bottles of collection when I bought a Samba Zipped , one of those bottles was the Unzipped Samba for women, created in 1998. The perfume is something rare to find and had a somewhat winter profile by inclusion of notes of chocolate with intense iris. In game the fragrance presents a relatively intense sweet aroma close to chocolate or cocoa beans, accompanied by a bitter floral also present in I Love You of Molyneux and that seems to be iris by some earthy leaves. With the passage of the minutes a second floral something more difficult to define is added, in the company of vanilla and fruity something sugary. In medium notes the floral feels quite fresh, like a mixture between fresh freesias, a variant of roses or another feminine floral relatively close to the garden scent. It also feels a fruity touch towards sugary reds, possibly strawberry or non-acidic raspberry which gives it certain closeness to the iris to certain tones of the I Love You. When you smell directly from the paper it gives a sensation of ripe fruits mixed with chocolate and iris, while at a distance the iris predominates with a bitter sensation ... even close to the idea of a sage, very bitter grapefruit or black pepper oil. In the final phase tends to maintain the same aroma but lowering the intensity of the iris and with the chocolate somewhat residual, taking more strength a vanilla note also sweet something discreet that showed presence from the beginning. The predominant notes in each phase, chocolate, iris and vanilla, give preference to a winter use that benefits that the aroma stays on the skin and provides warmth. Do not feel a complex aroma, quite suitable for a daily use of city type in open spaces. Due to the density and bitterness of the iris, you do not feel an office-type fragrance, since at the environmental level it saturates quickly and can be annoying in terms of productivity ... however, somewhat transgressive styles such as bitter and sweet move well at night, in Special the iris gives an elegant note to semi-formal and informal environments by cutting some environmental smells. The romantic use is debatable, since it gives an idea of aroma not old and at times sweet and delicious in cold weather, but the iris note is somewhat temperamental and depending on the type of skin is capable of ruining an evening. Age range a little serious, between 30 and 50 years.

Very very floral with a cocoa background, but the votes are wrong, this is more floral than gourmand, the chocolate is not prominent it's not front but in the background, its light, it is a bouquet of flowers more so, rose, jasmine and the slight cocoa background. It is a disappointment as I wanted more of a chocolate note. It is there though, just not as big as one would expect, it is more of a floral scent, in heat more so, and in cool temps, I suppose the cocoa becomes more noticeable, a little though. It is still more of a floral perfume, rose, rosy scent, with jasmine, I do like the rose I do, that and cocoa. I recommend SJP Covet for more of a chocolate scent. This is sweet, floral with a cocoa background scent. But this is good none the less, with time I can sense more warmth of the cocoa and more of a rose scent, with jasmine lurking, rose/chocolate is definitely a very nice, romantic, sexy choice, I do love that rose/cocoa is great! Jasmine seems to be strong at times tho...very noticeable jasmine within the floral bouquet. This does remind me of Covet, a little, I am wearing it more and I like it, I like the dark chocolate, I love the rose and their combination, the jasmine after phase is not offensive, it is sweet, warm and deeply floral, like a valentine day scent! Bought a couple of bottles more as it is apparently discontinued, love the chocolate note and the florals, rose, jasmine, iris and magnolia, they can all be noticed, especially the rose and jasmine. Its is like roses/flowers and chocolates on a romantic day, a romantic gift. It literally smells like a valentine's day, the flowers and chocolates.

WoW! I get dark chocolate and iris. I just realized that iris isn't a flower that I like to smell....It's a dirty flower that is too aggressive here. I spritzed Aquolina Gold Sugar from a distance atop, and that definitely softened the iris. I think that violet might have been a better choice, but hey; I'm not a perfumer....ACK! I can still smell iris!

Delicious, sweet and romantic scent, it is a Valentine day scent, chocolates and roses, flowers and pleasant feelings. Yummy milk and dark chocolate with roses and other flowers in a bouquet, it is such a likeable, delicious, sweet and heavenly scent, much like Tea Rose, excellent and wonderful.
