Caribbean Vanilla & Coffee

So I expected the vanilla note to be extremely heavy but it's not at all. I actually get more coffee than I do vanilla. I really like this, way better than I expected. Not your typical vanilla. I have a 3.3 oz bottle and I will never use the whole bottle so I have decided to sell or swap decants if interested.

I have decided to edit my first review since I purchased Perlier Caribbean Vanilla & Coffee. Initially I disliked the vanilla, which was too buttery for my taste. Now I have thoroughly shaken the bottle several times, and the result is much more blended. The vanilla is smooth and while it has more of a scent like that of vanilla in something foody, it is slightly sweet and not too buttery at all. The lasting power is quite good, though I admittedly have a heavy hand when I spray a fragrance. I could smell it faintly on my wrists the next day at least 12 hours later. The coffee still wasn't the strongest note, but it does remain throughout and what is there seems to run the gamut of fresh coffee as well as a mellow scent like that in the kitchen after you've brewed a pot. I get a clear nutty note which I prefer to coconut as I feel it adds a richness and depth since coconut tends to wipe out or dominate other lighter notes, the big bully. The base is a pleasant inoffensive musk and has no spiciness whatsoever; sometimes I get a general floral note which I like very much. The coffee does mature and change in a very appealing way, it just lacks strength for me. I do prefer heavy fragrances since my skin tends to absorb scents at an alarming rate; but after several uses I am very pleased with Perlier's product and I'm not willing to part with it.

IMHO,not even close to YSL Black Opium....just sayin'... On me,this one goes on like a room spray...potpouri...cheap vanilla candle...type smell. However....after almost 45 mins....I started to like it more. The dry-down is when it gets good....but waiting for that to happen...can be a challenge...LOL. It gets very sweet gourmond for sure..in the drydown. Vanilla/sugaered coffee...and IMO...a carmel-y vibe too. Try before ya buy type scent.

To carribean to boast a coffee note. Basically not present. Better find your coffee love somewhere else....like STARBUCKS!! All in all a nice frag and worth the 25 I bought it for. Ill use it for winter and b try another next year!! O wait - 2016 is in 3 weeks. Ahh, love this thing we do. Keep calm....sniff on!!

Smells synthetic and cheap to me.
