18 Sensual

Golden Pear, Jasmine & Lily-of-the-Valley... Inspired by J'Adore Dior with good approximation and performance, this beauty is fairly linear and overall I get a sweeter lily-of-the-valley scent rounded out by pear- & jasmine, but there are some faint citrus facets in the opening, rosy facets in the heart, and a musky vanilla-woods support. There is a sweet shampoo vibe here. This doesn't have the tuberose present in J'Adore, but there is a faint creaminess from the vanilla-bean. Has average or slightly above average performance, that improves with dark storage after first sprays. Contrast to J'Adore Dior: This is inspired by J'Adore with good approximation overall as well as with lily-of-the-valley, pear & jasmine and shampoo vibe in the background. J'Adore is a little more complex, has a more forward tuberose, and outperforms. Scent profile is most similar to J'Adore Extrait, but performance-wise this is more similar to J'Adore EDT. Contrast to 5th Avenue Elizabeth Arden: These are different, but there are similarities in the overall vibe, as well as with lily-of-the-valley, jasmine, fruits, rose & musk. The fruity aspects are more forward in 18 Sensual, while a yellow-floral facet is more forward in 5th Avenue. I don't get the shampoo vibe in 5th Avenue that I get in 18 Sensual. Roughly equivalent performance. Contrast to Curious Britney Spears: These are different, but there is an overall similar vibe with dewy, floral-pear. Curious has a forward magnolia note, that's not present in 18 Sensual. 18 Sensual is closer to J'Adore Dior. Roughly equivalent performance. Overall: beautiful, timeless scent profile with average or slightly above average performance for a light summer wearing experience. This could be worn year round, but I'm more likely to reach for it in summer. Enjoy!

Wow, "Perry Elis Sensual is definitely one of the heavy hitters in terms of sillage. That tempered, slightly spicy sweet green goes down to the last drop. There is an observable citrus accord which wends its way into that bright green and the fruits meld it all together to make it the awesome scent it is. "Sensual 18" is not for girls! The rose note is missing to me though and I really appreciate rose accords. Sis bought this one for her birthday, so I am taking a spritz to write this review. Not my signature but a worthy buy for your fragrance arsenal. Something in it (probably the brightness) reminds me of "Bora Bora" or yes..."J'adore" Another well composed scent from P.E.

Heavy on the lily and otherwise fruit and white floral. Fresh and clean scent that's good for hot summer days. Not sensual in my opinion and not very sweet considering the fruit. It's a pleasant and pretty standard freshie. I got it on the $20 at SDM so the price was fine.

Smells a lot like j'adore. A gorgeous sunshiny fragrance. I picture golden yellow flowers wearing this. Buying it right now for my sister who is a j'adore lover.

If Pantene pro v shampoo made perfume this would be it, smells almost exactly like it.

Great everyday scent, an easy reach for floral scents lovers.

I bought this on a whim from someone who was weeding out their collection. At first I thought no way this isn't the type of thing I'd wear because I'm a vanilla and roses kind of person. But I sniffed it and was struck by how much it makes me think of summer and sunscreen and going to the park. I'm going to try wearing it in a couple of months once the weather is warmer. Update: in the end it wasn't for me and I gave it away. However, I think this would be a great fragrance for the hot season, and would be great for making memories so that whenever you sniff the perfume, it brings you back in time.

This is not what I expected (never smelled J'adore). It smells like a Bain de Terre shampoo I used in the mid-90's, which I also thought smelled odd. There is nothing remotely "sensual" about this scent. It smells green and clean, which should be good except that it is also heavy and irritating. Longevity is extraordinary, considering I have scrubbed four times but the disagreeable smell continues to waft up from my wrist. Very small price tag, but still regret this one.

Bought this on a blind buy after reading the notes here on this site. What a disappointment - this smells nothing like it's described here; not fruity at all, no floral fragrance and quite frankly, even my grand mother wouldn't wear this! It's a shame since the bottle is quite elegant - someone put some time in to the design of that - but there's nothing sensual about it. I will donate it.

Blind bought this last night for 15 bucks. I tested it last night but its definitely more of a daytime maybe cool weather scent in my opinion but it reminds me a bit of Shi by alfred sung in the scent composition. At first I thought it was horrible and not for me but putting it on the skin, it could ok for a daily clean scent lightly sprayed because it is strong to me. It is still giving me older auntie vibes but we'll see. Edit: Ok I wanted to provide an update. It was a little warmer today and I felt this may smell good and work well today so I sprayed a few sprays on and it no longer smelled so strong, I even had to spray a few sprays in order to smell it on me. This is a good everyday floral and it projects really well. I feel like this has a 90's vibe but doesn't smell dated. Really pleased especially because it was so cheap. Im hoping this will be good for spring and maybe not super hot summer days. I don't remember how jadore smells but I know I didn't think much of it when I smelled it so the fact that I like this tells me it maybe more special than jadore. Update: this blooms in the heat. It was around 80 degrees yesterday and wow so goodie. Today its cooler and its not as good but still smells lovely. Its kind of reminding me of Burberry London just minus the little sweetness that one has I think from the honeysuckle. Can't wait to try this more when its really starts heating up.

J'adore by Christian Dior move over there is a new kid in town who smells just like you and is so much cheaper. I got a 3.4 oz bottle at TJMAXX for $14 and my Dior I paid over $100 at Macy for I wanted the real deal on that. This perfume has a fantastic projection but not a knock you out scent. It is so pretty like a lovely white floral boutique that has a beautiful, alluring long lasting scent with a touch of a fruit base. I think the pear keeps everything in check. I detect the jasmine and rose the most. The dry down is nice with a light fruity, vanilla, white musk scent that is quite sexy. If you like white florals with some fruity scents that blend so well together then this is perfect for you and would be a safe blind buy. What a fantastic deal, I love It!!! The designer did a great job for all the notes blend so good with each other!!

Well hello there, this is amazing. I see the comparisons to jadore dior, which I’ve never had in my collection so I’m not the resource. But this is incredibly pleasant! Blind bought a 3.4 ounce for 15$?!? Just a quick impulse buy, trying to satisfy an urge without cost guilt. This is divine! Someone said Bain de terre bath products, I get it. Reminds me of a clean shampoo with a backbone and a mission. The personal sillage on this fragrance is marvelous. Lasts a good long while too... More people need to know about this. I get a sweet lily of the valley, with a ripe pear. And a bright landing- so the bergamot makes sense. Just a beautiful, effortless, summer freshie. Packaging unfortunately looks like a golden mailbox, but I’ll totally look past it for this...

Mine smells stale. And very weak....everybody says it’s a beast....a bad sample?... a little shampoo-ish smell can be noticed somewhere around that mess. Should I try order again? From a different shop, maybe? Or is “this” THAT smell everybody admires?

I bought it based on the notes listed here, but it's not good. Smells very cheap.
