Aqua Extreme

This is a decent scent for the money, it last more than 30 minutes as one said, actually it is a little better than average on performance and longevity. It goes down a simular path as Dylan blue, but the tobacco gives it a little more mature scent. This could be worn all seasons and any occasion. It’s not a beast but by no means is it a wimp! I still don’t get the synthetic vibe, not all elements are derived from oils and have to be created. When you describe something as generic what makes it generic? I’m sure there are plenty of scent experts out there that can distinguish synthetic from natural!

This is basically Versace Dylan Blue just without all those annoying medicinal spices, smells like men’s body wash. 9/10

Nothing too special about the smell, but it does do something slightly different than other aquatics that I can't quite put my finger on yet. Reminds me of a fragrance long lost in my past from when I was much younger. Sadly though, the performance of this stuff is horrendous. Literally within 5 minuets of spraying I started to struggle to pick up the smell (when most other fragrances would be radiating like crazy around me), by 30 minuets there was almost nothing left (and this is after 6 sprays -- 3 chest, 2 neck and 1 hair). After an hour or two I really had to use my imagination to pick anything up, I could smell traces of the scent by sniffing under my shirt where I had hit 3 sprays to my chest, but it still was extremely faint. It's a good thing this is somewhat cheap, but even then, if it doesn't last more than an 30 minuets to an hour, why would I ever bother wearing it? If the smell was out of this world/super unique it might be a different story and a tiny bit more acceptable, but not something as generic smelling as this. This was my first Perry Ellis fragrance, and am quite disappointed. I also picked up Spirited as well but haven't tested it out yet on my skin, so not sure if all PE fragrances are terrible with longevity, or if it's just this one.

DESIGNER SOAPY BLUE BODY WASH/SHOWER GEL SCENT (w/ Sub-Par Performance) Smells really good but pretty linear and light, the tobacco does give it a pinch of depth but all you mainly get is just clean soapy blue body wash/shower gel throughout the life of the fragrance, smells like many men's blue soapy body wash products that leave you smelling fresh soapy clean like you just got out the shower; more similar to A&F First Instinct Blue than Versace Dylan Blue due to it not having the incense or being as loud and long lasting or same quality as Dylan Blue, A&F First Instinct Blue doesn't have incense either and it also projects better than Perry Ellis Aqua Extreme. Love the smell of the scent just hate the performance. Projection/Sillage': LIGHT, 'scent bubble' radiates within 5 feet for about 30 mins to an hour, then become an in-close scent; Perry Ellis Aqua Extreme is an indoor and in-close fragrance lacks the projection to be noticed from a far. Performance/Longevity: WEAK, last only 3-4 hours

First try of it, and it is an instant like. I do get the similarity to Dylan Blue, but it is not a clone. It is also similar to Tommy Bahama Maritime Deep Blue. This is a very deep and slightly dark “blue” fragrance. The lavender is noticeable, but very well blended so that it does actually come off like “blue lavender”. I pick up a hint of the juniper. There is a nice warm old school masculine base which seems to have a bit of tobacco blended into it. This is fairly smooth and not powdery. Haven’t tested performance yet. There is some ambroxan that becomes noticable in this as the top notes start thinning, but it is covered well and does not go overboard, so this seems to still be wearable. I can’t wear Dylan Blue because it turns funky to me. Whatever calone they use, I can’t stand. While this stays a lot cleaner and doesn’t get too funky. So, that is a big win for me.

It's good. Not sure how good yet, but I dig it so far. Nothing like the original Aqua (which I enjoyed) and not at all what I was expecting when I read the notes. The tobacco and labdanum are noticeable immediately and provide a rich counterbalance to the geranium and juniper. It's a darker, deeper scent than I thought it would be. I like that in aquatics. It shares something in common with Wings, Perry Ellis 360°, and CW Night Dive (minus the cloying tonka note). When I read the fragrance notes on Fragrantica I expected this to smell very similar to the original Cool Water formulation, but the result isn't even close. If you're thinking about blind buying this, I would say go for it! It's safe enough but definitely more interesting than your run-of-the-mill generic aquatic.

This is a cheaper alternative to Versace Dylan Blue. I get Dylan Blue almost all the way with this except the dirtier notes are less prominent. I get more of the dark aquatic Blue side that DB has. If you want a less dirty Dylan Blue then this is a great one to try. For me this is a good all-around fragrance. I could wear this to the gym or on dinner dates. To me this is very versatile as in it smells great and it has some masculinity to it as well. This is a fragrance that you don't have to think about where as Dylan Blue you have to think about it for a second if you want to wear it. If you like Dylan Blue but wish it was toned down a little bit, get this!

Nothing mind-blowing if you have 100+ bottles. At this point in my "journey" I only acquire bottles that I actually enjoy and know 100% will be worn. Lately, my puchases are on the freshies and aquatic family because that's where I originally started. I've had my share of gourmands, niche, ouds and whatnot but it really is, at times, a challenge to find utility in those fragrances. Simply put, this is a grab 'n' go frag. Scent is subjective, but to me, this is pleasant. A versatile, mass-appealing blue fragrance. This will remind you of Dylan blue, Sauvage and other blue fragances.

It smells great, with distinctive note of lavender, wood and geranium but it also has bergamot and something like violet and a touch of bourbon and tobacco in its base notes. The longevity is pretty weak, 2 hours or so, and it better stays on paper or tissue than on skin.

Not sure why an "Aqua" fragrance has tobacco notes but I like it. It is a nice fresh blue scent with a hint of tobacco. The dry down kinda reminds me of the woody, spiciness of the Shaquille O' Neal cologne.

Versace Dylan Blue with approximately 72.4% less silage or longevity. Aneudi1994 your nose is broken. No gasoline here. Pure silliness.

smells like Nautica Voyage and Dylan Blue had a baby

Performance above what you expect for price. Scent is ok but not what I expected from reading. This is very similar to Hugo Man. This is not like AF First Instinct Blue, not a knock its just not what I expected. More of a green scent.

A very typical Cool Water style scent. There's an aquatic accord; I suppose I get lavender, citrus and some wood as well. To Aqua Extreme's credit the notes aren't too screechy or headache inducing. They smell pretty synthetic though. All elements of this fragrance feel compressed and one dimensional. No character at all. Sillage and projection are pretty weak from the get go. Lasted about three hours before becoming nearly undetectable. Not sexy but appropriate for most situations, ages and warmer weather. To be fair this is slightly better than I expected but it's still not a good fragrance. Bottle looks okay; note composition uncreative; performance poor. You can do much better for the same price or less.

The first few times I wore this I really liked it. As time went on it's turned into this odd synthetic noxious scent. It's a dark blue chemical mess with zero freshness to it.

Falls into the category of “first time fragrance buyers” line.. Very simple. Call it Blue be Chanel “Lite.”

So, Um, Yeah. I GUESS you could loosely call this a "Blue" Fragrance. To me its more of a mature soapy, sporty, freshie. Imagine a generic Dylan Blue wannabe + Vince Camuto Homme + Perry Ellis 360 Red + an Adidas aftershave and throw them in a blender. Its not necessarily a bad thing but the performance is nearly non existent. They should have put this in one of those tall aluminum cans with a pressurized sprayer and called it a body mist. Hell Ive HAD body mists that lasted longer. There is no excuse in 2024 to produce such a weak fragrance, or even at the time of its release in 2016. Unless this bottle was given to you I truly believe you would be disappointed at any price point, not because of the scent but because of its embarrassingly poor performance. the scent itself is pleasant and I GUESS kinda interesting. The drydown is actually nice with a tobacco ambery thing going on, but you have to pretty much break your nose burying it into your skin to smell it after about an hour and a half. If you enjoy the way this smells so much that you are willing to respray every hour-Go for it! If you can find a use for it-Great! Otherwise, in 2024 you can find way better scents in this price range or even less ( I paid $22 at Ross for a 100ml). To sum it up: Dont waste your money and dont bother!

I can barely smell this on my skin after a short time. On the initial spray, it's a typical blue fragrance with the light citruses mixed with the dark woods present in the base. Then, 20-30 minutes later......poof! Gone. You'll need all of those 6.8 ounces in that jumbo bottle if you want to make an impression. Otherwise, just spray it and use your imagination.

This one smell good, just synthetic. What to expect for a fragrance I spent $13 on. The performance is abysmal. It was gone in thirty minutes. I’ve known B&BW body sprays that last longer than this. No projection whatsoever. I feel like I got ripped off by this fragrance.

The original was really nice and I loved it. I spray it on my arm and it smells fresh I feel uplifted 10/10!! ...and then 5 minutes went by, and it's gone. No joke. Hope this one is decent version of that, lasting at least 5 hours

Very nice. Reminds me so much of Versace Dylan Blue Toilette for men. But it doesn't last long at all. My hubby, my son it it on. In an hour it's gone. Shame. It's a really nice scent.

This is nice, easy to wear. Doesn't have a gasoline smell like a lot of people say but more of a pencil shavings cord during the mid to dry. Nice and nostalgic to me at least.

I get a strong gasoline accord, more than Fahrenheit.
