Perry Ellis (2018)

Another Fierce / MB Legend clone.. but seemingly a good one. I found this for a great price at Marshall’s. Very similar to Fierce and Legend but with a more icy/spruce vibe.. cold and refreshing. Solid scent bubble for at least 2 hours. I would have to recommend it over Fierce due to the better price, and a toss up compared to Legend. Update, early 2020: I very much enjoy this one. I have MB Legend and A&F Fierce which are both similar fragrances, but this one has a nice enough touch to it that I reach for it often. Respectable performance.. refreshing scent which as I said above, has like a sprucey vibe to it. Definitely recommended.

To my nose, this is a really good clone of Acqua Di Parma. Light, fresh and classic. This is my go to fragrance when I want to smell approachable and offend no one. Great for the office or a day out in the sun. It's almost innovative in the sense that while most fragrances lean towards synthetic "laundry musk", Perry Ellis takes it back 100 years and sticks with some very classy and natural notes. It's like walking through an Italian garden in the Summer.

Haven’t tried Fierce or MB Legend. Opens with a really nice refreshing and clean soapy citrus with musk trailing it. This was one of my first fragrances and it’s still something I’m constantly reaching for, in my mind it’s an almost perfect easy reach. Lasts a few hours on skin and clothes, 6 max if I had to say. 100% worth $30-40 but I found mine at Marshall’s for $12

Unrated gem , if it had a well known designer brand behind this it would be much higher rated and talked about I got it at Ross for $15 100ml , super fresh summer vibes

Got this pretty cheap at TJ Maxx. I didn't do a whole lot of research other than look at the rating on here and to see if it was a scent that is appropriate for the current season. I sprayed it on and, viola! I love it. Staying power seems pretty decent.I'll have to follow up for longjevity, but it seems promising. I couldn't expect much more for the price point, and I mean.. It is Perry Ellis. I kept smelling it and wondering, man, this smells like something that I just can't put my finger on. As above states. That similar scent is Abercrombie Fierce, also Montblanc Legend. Funny thing is, I am not a huge fan of that scent profile "TYPICALLY". This is a bit more toned down than each of them. If you want a softer take of the Fierce DNA, grab this. For $20 you can't go wrong.

So far I’m indifferent on it. Might need to spend some more time with it. Definitely not a type of scent I currently have at all so maybe it’ll grow on me the way like Starwalker did for me. I know there’s not correlation between those two scents lol but all I’m saying is I wasn’t too high on Starwalker at first either so who knows. Found it for $14.99 at my local Ross for a 75 ml... I will say that this reminds me NOTHING of First Instinct Blue as I do have that one and it’s a regular gym scent for me. I can’t say whether or not it reminds me of Legend because I haven’t gotten my nose on that one yet... overall I could definitely see myself getting use out of this for maybe more specific occasions. I feel like it’s a little more dressy than casual.

Perry Ellis by Perry Ellis is a very fresh, summer fragrance that almost resembles MontBlanc Legend or A&F Fierce. The initially burst you get from this fragrance does remind you of those scents, however it also has its own DNA. It has a fresh citrus beginning which then transitions to a pleasant but masculine flowery kind of vibe. Its price point is amazing too as you can pick up a 3.4oz bottle for no more than $25. Overall I am pleased with this and if you are looking to get close to Fierce or Legend and happen to come across this bottle, I would defiantly pick it up.

It looks basic, it smells basic but it's good! Sometimes a basic good scent is all you need. You don't have to worry about not smelling good with a fragrance like this because it does what it's supposed to at the end of the day which is smell good. The projection and longevity are pretty good also and the price is decent for what you get. I would say I get a Burberry for Men similarity to this which is nice in my opinion. It's just a fresh clean floral scent for men and it's from Perry Ellis so you can't go wrong!

If you ever smelled Herbs de Provence, this is what it reminds me of, I get quite a bit of lavender throughout. Look for $14 for 100ml this is a great out of the shower and daily wear. It is an Aromatic Fougere and it pulls it off. Yes it smells familiar but that is ok, it last 6 hours + depending on sprays so pull the trigger it’s only $14. Very calming and gives you a fresh clean smell. Yes it’s similar to legend, but softer and on me last longer than legend EDT, but not the EDP. So $14 buy it!

i got a sample it says perry ellis Eau de toilette, it smells typical frech masculine slight soapy clean fragrance with a woody dry down not sure if its this fragrance but i like, not good longevity but easy to respray, office safe and affordable at discounters 25$ fragrancenet 7/10

Initial = A&F Fierce dry down = Penguin Premium Blend Bought it for $14.99 It is a quiet version of A&F Fierce. Best suited for more intimate and indoor setting. It lacks that salty aquatic vibes from Fierce though. 6/10

This Fragrance was gift from my old neighbor and the first cologne I ever wore. It smells like old school soap to me..... something an old man would wear to church. 7.26/10

This was a surprise. To me, I don’t really get the Montblanc Legend/Fierce vibes from it. It smells slightly similar, but it smells nearly identical to Perry Ellis 360 Very Blue but with less vetiver. It’s a sweet, light lavender scent that is pleasant for the office. It’s pleasing and great for the price, but nothing new.

It smells like the drydown of Legend, but on my skin, to my nose, it has a plastic type smell, maybe a bit sour, and it stayed the same from opening to drydown which has taken place in under an hour each time I have worn it. Maybe it is my skin, I am very familiar with Legend, Fierce and various clones, and I get the comparison, but it projects for maybe 5 minutes and then is a close skin scent. I picked up at Ross for $15, so it is a gym cologne now, and not one of my favorites. This is maybe Curve Sport (Which I really like, I think one of better legend clones) without the first 2-3 hours of the opening and less flavor/Sweetness. Not sure what Perry Ellis was going for here, I see no comparisons to some of the frags listed, certainly nothing like A&F Fierce Blue etc. Pass for me, and I typically can find the good in most scents even if weak. This is the weakest scent I have in my collection and when I say Curve Sport is much more potent, that is a statement since Curve Sport is only 3 hours if I put on clothes.

Dont buy cheap things, you will regret

This is a very nice scent. Very similar to MB Legend.. A&F Fierce.. but softer like other reviewers have mentioned. Legend can be a bit harsh especially in the heat, so this could be a great warm weather alternative. I love Legend and Fierce so as soon as I smelled this (and after reading the other reviews) I felt it would be a crowd pleaser. It has a done before DNA, but for an everyday spring/summer scent it’s a great dumb reach. It also reminds me of Curve, and if you know how much of a hit Curve was back in the day I’d say this is a very safe bet for the younger crowd getting into more “adult” fragrances. I think the more subtle profile comes from the Curve vibe I get from it, which works really well. If you’re looking for a fresh, athletic, and youthful scent this is great for the price. It also has a bit more class than your bargain sporty juice. I’d say it’ll be a compliment getter, and it has an all around likable smell to it. If you have, or are familiar with Legend, Fierce, and curve and are looking for a unique, mature, or formal fragrance I would say this would be a redundant addition to your collection. Ages are high school and up, leaning college to mid 30’s. Very versatile, but not my go to for a dressy occasion. Seasons are spring/summer, and could easily be worn at work, casual, clubbing, dates, or just about anywhere you want to smell good and non offensive. Longevity is good and projection is decent. I’m sure I’ll be reaching for this one in the upcoming warm months (it’s March right now). Overall.. good juice.

And...it's another variation on the A&F Fierce/MB Legend theme. It's also oddly similar to the recently released Perry Ellis 360 Very Blue (not on Fragrantica yet). I've had it for a couple of months and I have worn it a handful of times. In my opinion, it is neither better nor worse than either Fierce or Legend. So, if you like either of those you will like this. If you have either of those, you probably don't need this. I have both of them, and yet I bought this. Why? No idea. I think maybe I had hopes that it was going to smell more like Chanel Platinum Egoiste. It does not. But I actually knew that already, because I tried this on at Macy's weeks before I bought it. If you want my advice, wait till this hits the discount stores like Ross, TJ Maxx, or Marshalls. I'm guessing it will be available for around $20 like most of the other Perry Ellis fragrances are. If you're an idiot like I am, you'll pay $60 for this because you want it now, even though you already have like 14 other colognes that smell almost exactly like it. Don't be an idiot. On the other hand, if you really like this kind of fragrance, and you have the $60 to spend, then more power to you. Who's to say you're an idiot for that? Super. Good talk. Glad we discussed this. This is well blended fresh powdery smell. This is for when you just want to smell clean like a bar of ivory soap and you could easily layer this with other things. Yes it also smells like 360very blue except 360 very blue has an interesting opening and this does not. 6 hours on this. You could skip it or enjoy it when you don't want to smell like cologne or offend anyone.

A new Perry Elis that looks promising both the notes and the design. Nevertheless I ask the help of other "Fragrantiquers" to buy Perry Ellis 1985. Where and how much? In return I will publish a review of Perry Ellis 2018 ASAP with an EDIT to this text.

I can barely detect any scent from this. I have to have my nose pressed to my skin to smell anything. It does smell sort of like Fierce except it is incredibly faint.
