Perry Ellis f

Perry Ellis makes great clothes, shoes and accesories. But for some reason, his scents seem relegated to the Bargain Store shelves and discount bins...and that is really a shame! I was very surprised to see only two reviews here for this scent. This is one of my Mom's favorites (perhaps her fave PE perfume) and I find it quite beautiful myself... "f" (feminine?) opens with a bright sweet serenade of lush greens and creamy flowers. I love ivy and wish it was used in more perfumes. It is not really all that strong here, but its bitter and fresh "green" gives an intersting feel to the rose and lily, usually so sweet and luxurious. Peony adds some spice to the mix while remaining full and velvety. Gardenia adds a creamy, almost buttery "oomph", making this feel almost "classic" (think of a sweeter Moscow Red by NZ). As it dries *sighs* cinnamon appears to warm it up, and a slighty incensy sandalwood brings it on home as a musky mist rises to entice and invite. This smells like it has much more than the listed notes going on, but to me that is what a truly wonderful perfume does...makes magic (what sherapop refers to as "Alchemy")!! Rather spicy for a straight floral and vaguely oriental with a nice "under the radar" chypricity; "f" is a delight! Sillage: very good Longevity: above average Overall: 4/5 For those of you who do not like "bitter" or overly powdery, spicy scents: maybe this one is not for you. I, on the other hand, would so wear this! It has lovely flowers in it, but also a dash of spice, woods, greens and a warm incensy drydown...gotta love it! :) Maybe "f" stands for fabulous...??

Can't believe there's so few reviews on this one. Someone gave me 2 bottles of the lotion, no perfume, so I can't fully review this but I came to see what would pair well with this and I'm pretty sure I own Chloe and def have Glow here so I'll try with those. I imagine the perfume for f would be fantastic! I thought the lotion was old and maybe off, and maybe it is but it's also beautiful. It's dirty and clean at the same time.. like a dirty rose, if that makes sense, or maybe that dirty smell is coming from the musk.. but it's contrasted with the powdery soapy smell, the lovely peony and gardenia, oh! Maybe that dirty smell is the mix of gardenia and incense with rose thrown in.. I don't know. At first I didn't like it at all but after a few minutes and picking up on the peony and incense, this is gorgeous! Wish I had the actual perfume, but I have no doubt this will layer nicely with Chloe and Glow. It's reminding me of something else I can't quite put my finger on. I smell spices that aren't listed but as someone mentioned below, that is the beauty of perfume art. Something about this smells vintage.. like staying at your grandmother's and smelling the clean sheets and blankets that have sat on the bed ready for someone to sleep over in this old bedroom with dusty wooden chest of old photo albums and memories. Like soap from the 70s/80s. Going through your Auntie's memory box and smelling old perfumes and other scents amongst the treasures. It's cozy, comforting and versatile. I'm getting this from the lotion and maybe it smells this way because it IS old. Maybe the perfume IS way different, but I do like this. Maybe not for everyday wear for myself, only because I change my perfumes up every day, but maybe for at night when you're feeling nostalgic... because it's bringing back memories for me of times and places that I never lived and only caught afterthoughts of in sneaking peaks and whispers.

It's actually pretty good. Nice spring scent, very subtle. First I could detect lily and rose, sandalwood a little. What is ivy supposed to smell, I have no idea...But I could not detect cinnamon at all, nor gardenia. But like I said, it's very nice though!

I fell in love with it immediately!It has a herbal scent, almost medicinal, like a potion - very soothing and unusual.The peony note is warm, like a flower with it`s petals all opened in the full sun.Great staying power too!

Grown up, deep and round. Strong rose with some ivy greens, powder from peony, cinnamon adds oomph, the end result is almost oakmossy but somewhat sweet. Reminds me of a less complex Youth Dew by Estée Lauder.

At first spray I loved it but found myself getting irritated in the middle notes. Maybe too strong peony? I went into the bathroom where I had originally sprayed it & Loved how it smelled. So I decided to be patient with it. In the final notes it smelled very good, but much lighter. I could even smell it very lightly on my wrists the next morning. I'll try it a couple more times. Maybe on clothes or a room spray, too. If it doesn't work out for me I'll gift it to one of my sisters. They love growing peony & gardenias.

Perry Ellis f is almost identical to Courreges in Blue by Courrèges. Words like earthy, green, sharp and dewy are very appropriate to describe this perfume. Not floral to my nose at all. Not a safe blind buy either.

It smell just like TOUCH by FRED HAYMAN if you miss TOUCH just buy this one, about this perfume, is like white flowers, a bit strong, but really nice,
