Perry Ellis Midnight

Came in yesterday morning, let it calm down and gave it a spray after shower to check it out on wrist. First impression: Opens pretty amazing with an amber forward scent, that takes over for about 1-2 minutes and then slowly peels back the current to an amber mixed citrus maybe even slight apple I feel I’m getting, overall opening is is top notch stuff. Develops actually pretty nicely to a fresh citrusy amber with a hint of spice maybe the cinnamon carrying on. I for sure would put this in the same vein of fragrance as TMW but with also the slightest hint of ysl y trickled in, if I would give someone an idea of what it smelled like. For sure an attention grabber and I would consider safe blind buy if you like those frags. Will add it to my rotation as a nice cheap reach. Well done PE

Wandering the cologne and perfume area, I smelled alot of stuff, The One, Bentley, Invictus, Red Sky, Sauvage, Fahrenheit, Varvatos, One Million Parfum, Eternity Men.. used the coffee smeller in between, took breaks to walk around. Somehow this ended up being the one I bought. This was the one that popped like Wow this smells good. Almost pulled the trigger on the Red Sky until I smelled this. Now maybe this is just where my tastes and nose have developed to so far, but now it reminds me of One Million and Ferragamo Uomo Signature. So I'm starting to think my nose leans towards this type of smell, atleast in a store filled with modern style scents. Intimate, sexy, lingering. Not the old man smell I am looking for but nice.

Used up a dozen samples or so a while back, and enjoyed it. Kept scratching my head as to why I never picked up a full bottle. So I did, and realized that this offering from PE is a lot better than I even remember it being. I get the associations and likeness to SWY and TMW, but this isn't a clone (TMW came out around the same time as this, which makes me skeptical, unless some form of perfumery espionage was taking place). Youthful in structure, yet wearable even for a charismatic 50 year old-ish dude like myself. It really does garner a bit of positive attention. Right at home in the cold weather, and explodes off the skin in warmer weather (moderate the sprays, gents). Oh, and it is dirt cheap. A nice bonus.

There are thousands of people buying dupes of SWY or just dupes in general when you have this hidden gem for $35 at either Sam’s Club or Amazon all day long. Made in the USA, quality juice. The amber, citrus and vanilla are well balanced and the dry down is the best part. At the beginning it has that “cologne” smell that is kind of dated. But once the wears off about 5-10 minutes later, this is an absolute banger. Like the name says, best worn at night, even summer nights this handles well.

This is a banger honestly, especially for the price point. Most people you ask about this fragrance will like it. Downside being it has middling longevity, but then again, it is 30$ and an EDT. I personally like the black bottle, the cap is also rubberized. Finger print Magent. The guy comparing to hawas is kinda right but hawas is more musky and less fresh. Different enough to justify owning both in my opinion.

This is very good for the price. I originally got it in a sampler, and I had to go out and get a full sized bottle. I could see the price on this almost doubling in the future, as it seems to be a pretty new offering, so I had to get some now. Maybe a bit too sweet for a Summer day, but otherwise I think it's a very good option for a man who wants an EDT that lasts and has some strength to its smell.

WOW.. How is this flying under the radar. This is an amazing fragrance with a beautiful blend of amber/cinnamon at the top and vanilla/tonka bean at the bottom. the top notes smell sharp with the vanilla and tonka bean settling this fragrance in for a smooth creamy blend with a bite. Highly recommend this one.

Been having my eye on this one for a while, and I unexpectedly ran into one at the mall. Absolutely no regrets especially for the price. This could definitely be a daily wear fragrance and prefect for date nights. The amber, vanilla, and cinnamon mixed with that orange citrus is so so good.

I bought this recently and the way to describe the smell is very very similar to Rassasi Hawas only thing to me the smell last longer around 4-5 hrs and higher quality, it gives me a scent fusion kinda like cherry, but I like it I will use it for the gym and going out at night.

This is such a masterpiece of a fragance, whenever I'm bored or don't know which fragance to grab I go for this an use it anywhere, to the gym at day, night any weather and it seems to work for me, an easy reach fragance, floral, manly, and ambery

NO stop where you are! This is 100% a clone of Azzaro The Most Wanted! And it is SPOT ON! Scent, projection, EVERYTHING is spot on. #1 alternative by a long shot! Even looking at the bottle you can tell it is a clone of the most wanted!

Smells very much like the most wanted with added citrus, I 100% prefer the drydown to this over Most Wanted. Luckily accidently smelled this at Sams or id never of known it existed. Not sure how this one hasn't blown up.

A gourmand frag for sure. Sounds weird but I get cinnamon graham crackers. To me, this is a clear clone of EA Stronger With You for half the price. Great performance, great value, great scent.

Sooo nice and so cheap, reminds me of Y Saint Laurent EDP and Azzaro Most Wanted for a better price point, strong as well, underrated gem!

Midnight smells fantastic, gets compliments and can be worn year-round for any occasion including dates. 5/5 Stars

I just got this fragrance and I've only used it once. I like it, it's a good one. It has a strong apple in the beginning with a little bit of cinnamon and lots of amber. I was not able to sense the other notes, at least not now. I haven't tested it much, this is just a first impression. From what I was able to smell so far this is pretty much all about the amber. It does have a slight Stronger With You similarity in the first 10-15 minutes but that fades away. Then it becomes different. However, what makes this fragrance so nice is that it has a very clean amber, also because it's a fresh scent. While other amber/tonka perfumes get cloying or sickly sweet, this one gets a gourmand, clean amber by being fresh. It's very enjoyable. I think it can be worn pretty much all seasons but in summer only at night and only if it's cold. I will come with updates later after I test it more.

To me this is a 1 million inspiration type of fragrance. I don't understand why the red apple isn't in the note breakdown. The apple lasts almost the entirety of PE midnight. You do get a little bit of cinnamon in the beginning. In the dry down I mostly get amber and woods. If you love or like red apple and 1 million style of fragrances this will be right up your alley. Longevity is 7-8 hrs. Projection and sillage is two to three hrs. Depends on how much you spray. I do spray around 7 to 8 sprays. It's an awesome fragrance. For the smell and price at the discounters I give this a 9 out of 10.

Underrated little gem, got a deal ar Sam's Club 3.4 oz eau the perfume, 0.7 oz little traveler bottle and a shower gel. Very similar to Emporio Armani's Stronger With You, but less chestnuts and less smoke, more Amber and about same sweet vanilla accord. Performance is great about 6 hours of calming and relaxing smell, comfortable and not cloying. In my opinion this the best from Perry Ellis.

great scent for a great price, doesn't last that long on me (3-4 hours) but it smells amazing. top notes can be a little bit harsher for the first few minutes, but the dry down is an amazing creamy, ambery vanilla. W for a 25 dollar pickup, if it was stronger honestly would be designer level quality.

Got it for 30usd and for that price it is a good frag, with only one downside (typical for this brand): mediocre longevity (5-6hrs). Amber turning into citruses that you can wear to any event almost all year round. If you need a "dumb reach everyone gonna like it frag" this should be on your list.

This smells very nice but I think "Midnight" is an odd name for it. To me it smells nearly identical to Run Wild by Davidoff, which many say smells like Invictus. It's a nice youthful scent that isn't anything crazy but it's certainly not bad at all.

Downright amazing considering it's only $30 for the big bottle. Very refined blend of amber, cinnamon, mandarin. I actually find the longevity better than average. One of my favorites in my collection 8.6/10

A weaker and watered down version of one million. It's nice and smooth but lasts only an hour on skin. Get Halloween man or one million instead for this scent profile.

This note breakdown is kinda reminding me of Eros flame. I also was under the impression it was an apple dominant fragrance so I'm a bit confused but basically I've had it about a year it's a pretty nice smell has a bit of everything in it so you can let your senses detect what you want out of it. Longevity is above average, sillage is moderate, average projection. Amber makes it smooth throughout. Not annoying/cloying but a laid back Eros flame that has an apple-like sweetness throughout.

If you like The Most Wanted line, and want something more affordable, that can be affordable for everyday wear, this will be for you. It smells like it could be a flanker of the most wanted, and it performs great. Best of all it's under $25 USD. Heck even if you are just looking for something affordable that still has great quality and smells modern look no further. 9/10 for the price.

A more affordable invictus victory edp pretty great and it has great longevity78 hrs for a perry ellis fragrance that is amazing I bought 2 backups because this is actually back up bottle worthy I get amazing reactions as well

I smelled this frag from a sample pack and wow. It's a fresh air and very light, I wish they made it in eau de parfum because it doesn't last very long on skin but it smells amazing, at least to my nose.

This smells good, but it is not unique. It smells just like Spicebomb night vision edt to me. Super sweet, apple and spice scent. Good performance.

This smells insanely similar to the most wanted edp, albeit less quality. Once this hits discounters for the $30-$40 range I’d say grab it

To my nose it smells very close to azzaro the most wanted, hands down but smells very good
