Portfolio Red

What a great blind buy. Might be my best yet. It was $13.99 for a 3.4 bottle at my local Marshall's yesterday. I sprayed it on and it made me realize it smelt similar. It sat with me until today when I realized this has similarities to CAHS Eau Extreme. I think it must be the mandarin combo with the sweetness that smells close to vanilla. Also the green notes in this must have some mint included which is also in Eau Extreme. For a fraction of the price. This didn't have the greatest Longevity but for such a cheap price I don't care. I put it on this morning at 8am and it's now 2:30 pm as I am writing this review and I can still faintly smell it. So it's in the 5-6 range at least. It projected well the first 2 hours this morning. 10/10 cheapie buy. This is a true hidden gem. Only downside to the cologne is the projection, the juice is a bit synthetic at first and the bottle is cheap feeling but the juice itself for the price is incredible .

Like many others, I had no idea this existed until it started popping up for cheap at discounters a couple months ago. It's a fairly linear, semisweet musky fragrance that strongly reminds me of something you'd smell at the mall in the early 2000s. Pleasant, youthful, and straight to the point - the pear, musk, and teakwood are all much more prominent than the green notes to me, which ultimately makes this fragrance playful and easy to wear. Beyond that... I dunno. It's a Perry Ellis fragrance. Those rarely blow me away and this one is no exception. I'd say it would be much more appreciated by someone just getting into the hobby than those who have gotten their noses on most in the designer realm already. I could see how this would draw compliments, though.

Super pleasant and safe fragrance. Cant see anyone being offended by this. Opens somewhat fruity and green. The green note sticks around as the musk/lavender combo comes to the forefront. Longevity and projection are slightly below average...but for $15, spray away. Overall, I wouldn’t pass on this one if you like super clean easy to wear fragrances. Value here is off the charts.

Smells good. Fruity, green herbal, and sweet. Very affordable. But, reminded me of something I have on the opening. Trussardi Uomo The Red. Drydown of Perry Ellis is a tiny bit different, leans more on the herbal side, but good.

I could not find a lot of information online about this fragrance, which the low number of reviews on this site would support. It’s just not well known. A surprise for a scent that was supposedly introduced in 1999. But it has found its way to the discount racks, which is where I picked it up for $12.99. I found two different descriptions of the notes, which roughly breakdown to fruit, herbaceous greens, and woods. So Perry Ellis Portfolio Red is a woody aromatic fragrance. Red is a misnomer. Doesn’t smell “red” to me. Rather, it smells like it didn’t fall far from the Invictus/Montblanc Legend Spirit tree. Fruity and sweet. In fact, as soon as I sprayed it, the smell seemed familiar. Going through my collection, PE Portfolio Red bears a strong resemblance to Hollister Wave 2.

I bought this blindly for $10 at TJmax. I don’t have much to compare it too but it smells great. I Wore this to work and got so so many compliments I couldn’t believe it. This is sooo worth the ten bucks is you see it out and about.
