Silver Horizon

I saw this at Belk last year and had to buy a bottle at retail price of $85. Is it worth it at that price, hell no! But I did just see them at Burlington as of today, July 1, 2026 going for $26.99, and at that price it can’t be beat. First, it’s EDP, which is rare for Perry Ellis. Second, it’s a marine, so slightly salty, aquatic, Woody Freshie that starts off like most everything else in the same genre, with a bit of citrus (bergamot), but having the cardamom up front in the opening with the citrus, does give it a slightly unusual ever so slightly sweet twist, which adds to the uniqueness of the profile for me at least as it doesn’t smell like any other fragrance I have in the same genre (I have about 20 in the same category of Marine Aquatic Freshie), which is a plus and no offense to the people who said it reminds them of Pour Homme or Aqua Di Gio, because I don’t smell the similarities. Unfortunately, even with the increased amount of fragrance oils, performance isn’t that great. Better than standard PE frags, but 2-3 hours for me and I can’t smell it anymore, but, as usual. mileage may vary depending on skin chemistry, so it might br better for you. All in all, I’m glad to have it in my collection and I do use it quite often for local trips where it will last for the duration of the trip. I also have a backup bottle, so yeah, I’m a fan.

Se siente suave, equilibrado y con ese estilo de perfumería que normalmente asocias con fragancias de diseñador de gama alta. Nunca transmite una sensación sintética o barata. Perry Ellis Silver Horizon es una joya oculta que merece mucho más reconocimiento. Ojalá más personas lo descubran, porque demuestra que un gran perfume no siempre necesita un nombre de lujo para oler caro.

I smelled this at Macy’s on Thursday 1/8 and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it. It’s definitely a summer freshie, perfect for hot summer & beach days, but this will also be great on cool spring days and cool summer nights. It was just so well blended for a freshie and I was very highly surprised! I cannot speak on its longevity or sillage as I have not purchased it yet, but from what I was able to recollect, I’d guess moderate - long lasting longevity with moderate sillage. Will cast my actual votes once I’ve purchased this one closer to the warmer weather. Highly recommend checking this one out if you like fresh fragrances! Smells so clean and very blue.

I love this fragrance. It’s exactly what I was looking for...a mass appealing, versatile, dumb reach fragrance that can also shine in the high heat. I don’t like “salt” accords, and thankfully I really don’t get any salty vibes. Just clean, fresh aquatic notes with a little freshness and gentle, pleasing spiciness. There’s a very slight powdery freshness to it that maybe people are calling salt, but it’s more of a fresh powdery feel than salty. It’s subtle either way, and I think buttons up the fragrance nicely to wear it will shine at the beach or at the office

This is very similar to John Varvatos X Nick Jonas Silver and I think it is better overall because it projects a little better and just has a stronger scent profile that the JV. I think the pink pepper, geranium, salt and cedarwood are the main notes that I pick up but it is not floral. It's similar to the Montblanc Starwalker or Individuel DNA but more masculine and not too much like a toilet bowl freshener.

This is a really nice marine scent. Perfect for the summer or really hot days. Overall a really nice freshie. I can't really say much about the longevity since I only have a sample and this is mostly my first impression. It's a really nice aquatic scent. I barely smell the cedar in this fragrance though.

I got a free sample of Silver Horizon at Macys last month. The fragrance smells great. It follows that safe, fresh DNA. You’ll smell good without offending anyone. Office-friendly and easy to wear year-round, but in my opinion it fits better in warmer weather. It’s a safe blind buy. It won’t disappoint, but it also might not blow you away. On my skin, it lasts around 7 hours with soft projection, mostly in the first 1–2 hours. Overall, even though I think there are better options out there, this is a solid and reliable fresh fragrance.

I like this it’s that salty aquatic calone scent that vaguely reminds me of my favorite Bvlgari Aqva Marine sadly discontinued.

Silver Horizon opens with a bright, moderately compressed fruit accord. Unlike the sharp, screechy synthetic citrus that plagues many budget freshies, the top notes here feel slightly smoothed out and sweetened, giving it a very approachable, mass-appealing entry. As the opening flashes off, the composition transitions rapidly into its core identity: a highly prominent, slightly salty marine accord. This is clearly driven by a healthy dose of calone (the quintessential sea-breeze/melon aromachemical). It evokes that classic, ozone-heavy coastal air texture. The scent profile remains firmly anchored in this aquatic lane until the far dry-down, where it settles into a sharp, generic, clean woodiness that sits close to the skin.

For a fragrance that's on the cheaper side of the spectrum, I was completely blown away by Perry Ellis Silver Horizon. This one can be my signature scent any day, and I have tons of designers and plenty of niche that cost triple the amount of this bottle. Blue, aquatic, a little powdery. This is something that any clean man can wear and expect compliments.

Isn’t it odd that despite it not being available yet, there are people who apparently know how this smells in order for it to ‘remind’ them of something else? Strangely however, they are not confident enough in that reminiscence to actually post a review or make any attempt to justify their psychic premonitions!

The opening starts off Bleu de Chanel without the incense. The mid transforms into Joop Nightflight, a staple in my collection in the 90’s. And finally the dry down turns into something very similar to Fragrance world’s D’hommes sport, slightly powdery and clean.

Wow this smells a lot like Lacoste white and Montblanc spirit. Where is the cologne that reminds them of that!? In the dry down smells a bit citrus powdery. Not a fan of the dry down but the opening smells great.
