Fovere

I got a sample directly from the official page. It arrived nicely packed with a postcard that briefly explain background of the perfumer: Christian Carbonnel. This scent reminds me of Naxos and Blonde Amber as many have pointed out before me. Both of those are my all time favorites. The longevity is very good and sillage feels a little toned down compared to Naxos making it very wearable and not overwhelming! Fovere is a very smooth amber centered scent with smooth and cozy rum note, beautiful undertones of lavender, creamy vanilla and sprinkles of sweet blonde tobacco. My nose does not register bergamot and ginger as sour notes in this presentation, as I usually interpret them, rather they give spiciness to the scent throughout. In total this is a very wearable, cozy scent. I have tried it on several occasions in 9 degrees celsius fall weather and it shines thru beautifully. Will probably be buying a full bottle and come back to update once I get to wear it even more during the winter.

An incredibly pure, smooth amber fragrance featuring notes of tobacco leaf, lavender, rum, and ginger. It’s reputed to be similar to Xerjoff’s Naxos, but this one strikes a stronger chord with me. The jasmine notes give it a more feminine touch—it’s really lovely. It does have a slightly more "medicinal" quality than Naxos, though, which might be a matter of personal preference. I find it to be a great, casual amber-vanilla scent—nothing flashy, perfect for everyday wear.
