The $kull

To my nose, it's basically just a Parfum version of No Limits. They smell almost identical. This one definitely has a stronger, more animalic oud/leather. The sweetness really balances it out though. The dry down is exceptional, creamy amber vanilla goodness. Projection, sillage, and longevity are all through the roof. Certainly niche quality and niche smelling juice. As much as I love this, it is grossly overpriced to say the least. The only reason I even bought this is because fragrance buy CA had it for around 50% off retail. Even at that price, it's still overpriced considering how close it is to the cheaper No Limits EDP. As a collector though, it's worth it to me knowing I have completed their line up of fragrances.

It’s sad to see all the negativity showed for this fragrance solely based on opinions of the designer’s personality & taste. Let the fragrance speak for itself is this not a fragrance site ? Lol... ANYWAY I first smelled this in Las Vegas earlier this year and it was love at first smell. It’s a very soft fragrance with a lot of oud & sweet notes in the opening. Would have purchased it right away if the price wasn’t so steep, as a fragrance collector myself I am realizing this exact bottle will not be available in the gray market for cheaper. I would now consider paying the $430. Smells extremely high quality. If you truly are a fragrance enthusiast & are a fan of oud based scents, be sure to check this out!!!

First...the bottle is a artpice 🤣 heavy glas, the juice is one off a kind, never smellt this combo off aquatic leather and sweet spicy cacao.. this should have alot more fans seeing the high quality and outstanding bottle, the opening is aquatic and peppery and also gives a fresh cellery smell that transform into leatherish cacao that gets sweeter by time and leaves a milk choco smell in the drydown Its transformation is quite interesting, you should test this atleast

Absurd that people downvote this based on hate for the brand or price - this is a very nice smooth leather with subtle ambery/ spiced sweetness. It's a Tuscan Leather type leather accord but toned down (i.e. not a new leather jacket or car interior "tannery" leather)...a smooth suede-ey beautiful sweet leather accord (I really dislike "shoe store" leather scent in my fragrances). The bottle is a very nice display piece in any collection. A brilliant offering.

What can i say about this one? This is a confidence booster once applied. I love wearing this with a black leather jacket and i think you could pull this off all year round. It's similar to no limits, but it's stronger and a niche take on it if you could say that, maybe a bit redundant to own both because they almost do the same thing. Price is a bit high but i have no regrets buying this and i think this is the one to own between the two.

I own both no limit$ and the skull the big difference to me is longevity and quality the skulls last forever on me vs no limits doesn't perform the same both are so very similar very minor differences the bottle is amazing on the skull i love both tho and i kindoff want this to become my winter signature scents 🤭

In the same general way Amouage offers the numerical enhancements of core scents (Interlude 54), Plein offers The $kull as a modestly amped-up version of the original No Limit$. So, you get a slightly smoother, longer lasting version of No Limit$ if you opt for this fragrance. Indeed, this scent came before No Limit$, so perhaps my reference is a bit off, but you get the idea. After a large number of wearings, I believe that the fleeting aquatic note in the opening of The $kull is a bit more noticeable here than in No Limit$. I also find the spices more balanced and the overall blending better here. The faint oud note here is more present in the dry down than in No Limit$ where it is nearly invisie. But, apart from extended longevity, The $kull and original No Limit$ are so similar as to be redundant for all but the biggest Plein fans. The packaging here is interesting in the typical kitschy house way. The atomizer on my bottle is among the very best I have encountered. I like The $kull and enjoy wearing it. If, as I did, you can get a great price and don't already own No Limit$, I recommend this complex, leathery, spicy blend for its distinctiveness and colossal longevity.

Can’t comment on longevity yet. But, whomever rated this as anything but enormous in sillage is just hating because of the brand or immediately anosmic. One spray had my family choking from across the room within 30 seconds and it traveled up the stairs within 5 min. Crazy-strong. Smells great. I got it for Christmas. Would never pay the going rate. But it is very nice. Not unisex, I don’t think. Atomizer is excellent for those that care Edit** longevity is insane. 24 hours +

The first hour, this fragrance smells like an unwashed cat... yes. But after an hour, it opens up. Leather, amber, wood — it’s cool, and it lasts all day, from early morning to night. It reminds me of Alexandria Orientale by Xerjoff. Honestly, way overpriced

So beeing about to grab this at a reasonable price I was searching for an unbiased review of how this smells. A lot of people were split between "trash" and "amazing, people are just biased because of Plein". I managed to smell it in an official store and decided not to buy it. If like me you intend to buy this perfume, what you need to know is this: - Yes! It does smell like No Limits! And I mean to a T, there is no difference, none whatsoever. There is no oud here, there are no animalic notes, no watery notes, nothing. It is exactly no limits. - It does NOT smell like a Parfum version as some have said. Is it smoother? Yes, but it is the same blend and the same SMELL (not smell profile, literally the same smell) you get in the drydown of No limits. - Beast-mode performance? No, it performes exactly like No limits, I would actually be inclined to say that No limits is the better performer but I just did the one testing and can't be 100% sure. Later edit: I re-tested No limits, The $kull is the stronger fragrance of the two. - I am not biased toward the brand, in fact I feel everyone deserves the right to express whatever they want in fashion and at what price they want. I am interested in what I am buying and I cannot speak for PP's clothes but this fragrance IS NOT WORTH GETTING, not even at a steep discount because you can just buy No Limits! It's that easy! - Some have said this is suitable for summer. If you feel No limits is good for summer then yes it is. - Did I mention it smells EXACTLY like No limits? I will do so again - IT SMELLS EXACTLY LIKE NO LIMITS - If you are a fan of fragrances, if you like having big bangers in you collection and don't go with hype or hate and you become interested in this frag, hear from me and my experience that there is NOTHING here! Also kudos tu uncle Alberto for getting that paycheck 3 times for the same thing, he is the only gangster of this PP fragrances Saga!

I hit dislike even without trying eventhough i do love the brand and the person Phillip Plein - he ́s our guy (German) and very successful by right. I even own some stuff by him - T-shirt and sneakers and loving it. But I dislike the price tag, the bottle, the notes and the fact it is unisex. so what? are u gonna judge me? am i a troll? ha. lol!!!!no, because ppl here are entitled to vote for like or dislike the whole concept, not just the smell, thats it. so stop this ridiculously childish diskussion and hit/vote whatever YOU feel without judging other voters. peace.

So this is the new trend now? Create your own perfumes brand and have Alberto Morillas creat some generic mass pleasing scent then sell it for a ridiculous price. Morillas used to be a respected perfumer but nowadays he’ll do anything for money.

@mike and @1qaz: I think that what people are downvoting may be the pretentious $445 price tag for a fragrance from an unknown perfume house, unknown guy and blended by a perfumer that has a demonstrated successful record in mainstream perfumery, but only a little number in higher-end fragrances. I did not downvote this one, but I have to admit that it's very tempting to punish the greed.

@SW1: if you like that kind of scents, try Oud Minerale by Tom Ford, and most of all Ocean Oud by Ramon Monegal. The latter is not cheap, but it really sits at the next level.

The skull is the confirmation that a nose does not always have to be identified with a specific style. Alberto Morillas is one of the most talented perfumers of our era: however, I have always considered him too fond of femininity for my tastes. With this fragrance, he incredibly transforms himself into an interpreter of the most extreme, raw and carnal sensuality. A spicy creation in the opening, with a very decisive and impactful leathery accord, which I like very much. It's not for everyone, it's really particular and strong, incisive, but it brought me back to a lustful and hard, but incredibly magnetic world. “Bacchanalia” painted by Rubens.

How is anyone going to say the perfumer is just going for cash before retirement when they’ve never smelled the scent? Sure, Phillip Pline’s marketing is a joke, and maybe it’s meant to be? Maybe it’s not? But I’m pretty sure it wasn’t at the advice of Alberto Morillas...pretty sure he never said “hey Phil...p Philly boy...to market this absolutely beautiful scent I just made for you, I’m seeing a Ferrari, but flying, with some flaming ropes...yeah?” So yeah, not really sure why that’s reflecting on him by people who have probably never actually smelled the fragrances, but it’s your comment, use it how you want.

Most of the reviews are disliking and spamming the list with hate reviews. there isn’t a single review about the fragrance itself. I personally don’t like the brand nor its dochey vibe. But I bought this beast and I’ve rarely encountered anything aquatic yet oudy warm long-lasting scent. the complexity of oud and the aquatic notes are the type where you could wear on a hot summer day for a special occasion. It’s unique and may be hard to digest for some people and Yes, its WAY overpriced. But at the end of the day the skull is amazing.

Hahaha funny. You want to downvote based on the price tag? Then I guess you need to downvote all of the Creeds, all of the Tom Fords, Amouage, and countless other fragrances that are over $500. Oh, and they haven't heard of Philipp Plein? Yeah, he's quite well known. Not my fault they've been living under a rock. This is an industry of greed. Get used to it. I prefer to focus on what mskes me happy = the scent. I LOVE fragrances. Also I do like this brand. Oh well.

I do agree with mikemuscles even if I do not like Philippe Plein as a brand. I consider it to be a designer 4 footballers (soccer players). But surely not an unknown brand. And why should have a financial group buying an old almost dead house and (re)launching perfumes under beloved names more credibility than a "newbie". All niche but Santa Maria Novella are/were newbies... Vote after sniffing, trying. Stop trolling, please.

For the record. People have already started clicking the dislike bar- and the perfume just launched today. I find it really hard to believe they tried the fragrance already. They are obviously clicking dislike because they dont like the brand or marketing. Okay, fine. They have a right to dislike anything they want. But instead of listening to internet trolls, I suggest trying it for yourself to decide.
