Amazing Grace Jasmine

I have never been a big fan of the OG Amazing Grace because it is just a few notes off from China Rain, by Body Time, (originally The Body Shop before the name was bought out by Annita Roddick). China Rain is my Mom's signature scent and I absolutely love it. So smelling a perfume just a few notes off was.... well, off. There is something in the original AG I just don’t care for. Not so with the jasmine. This is absolutely beautiful. My favorite summertime fragrance, a shame I heard it was a limited time offering. But I did see it in Macy's this week so there's hope. This is a very linear scent to me, smelling the same from first spray through the dry down. It's a glorious, sparkling jasmine scent with just enough bergamot to give it a clean citrus edge. I don't smell much coconut or musk, although I love both and could just be missing the notes. There is a creaminess to it though; perhaps that's the coconut nectar? In any event, it is 10/10 if you are a jasmine fan. It's not overwhelming or cloying, just a gorgeous clean juicy jasmine fragrance. I will have this in my collection as long as they're making it.

I really love this but I am waiting for a smaller bottle. I don't want 2 oz and ulta has philosophy amazing grace Bergamot and Magnolia in smaller $24 sprays so I am holding out for the travel size. I may buy the 3 in 1 body wash shampoo and shower gel for $28 though. If you really like jasmine and or musk I would recommend this. Honestly all I can smell is jasmine and musk. If I get a tester I will try it again but I am basing this off of the tester from ulta on a piece of paper. It's not overpowering to me like the Philosophy Nude Rose and Ballet Rose were. I don't know why because Jasmine fragrances usually aggravate my allergies but this one did not surprisingly. Anyway VERY much jasmine and musk if you're into that but it may be a little too old for anyone under like 35.

This is such a lively, soft, beautiful floral. A lot of florals feel very sharp to me— they have that “perfumey” smell to me that’s like a stab in the nostril. This isn’t like that at all. Its definitely a floral, but also has a softness or creamyness to it, I think from the coconut water, that makes it easy on the nose. It also definitely has some citrus notes that make this feel really fresh and fun. It’s super wearable and inoffensive. It doesn’t have long wear time or much silage, I’ve only got compliments on it when people are really close. Regardless, putting it on just makes me feel happy so I would recommend.

I lovvvveee this perfume so much but it smells very different on and to different people! At first I find the bergamot to be quite overpowering and harsh, but it dries down into being a very warm, sunny hug of coconut with jasmine and a hint of zesty bergamot to lighten and bring it all forward. I'd have more of a problem with its lack of longevity if it wasn't so cheap - i've also worn it almost every day for so long that I think it's permanently imprinted into my skin microbiome so I guess that helps.

I love this Jasmine scent and I’ve recommended it to all of my friends. It’s a great day time and spring/ summer scent. This is always in my rotation of scents, it’s also quite long lasting. And although I don’t have a very sensitive nose, it doesn’t bother the people I know who do. I’d say it’s a great perfume for the price point and it smells and lasts similar to more expensive perfumes on the market. If you’re a white floral lover you need this in your collection!

As a jasmine lover this is a great addition to my collection. It is an edt so not super long lasting and the projection is fairly low. I tend to use it more as a body spray or to layer. But since I found it at TJ Maxx for $24 I couldn’t say no, and so glad I grabbed it. It’s very heavy on the jasmine though so if you don’t like that you won’t like this. lol. The musk keeps it fresh, overall really enjoy it and would repurchase.

I have this, and just got the new Mystic Fig'ures from Fine'ry, and there's certainly a similarity! Amazing Grace Jasmine is more floral and lighter, and Mystic Fig'ures is stronger and more aquatic, more unisex. The notes are different, but they surely share some type of lineage at least; I've smelled tons of perfumes/have tons of perfumes, and immediately I thought of this. I find both delightful!

OOOO girl it smells good. I got it as a sample and yummm. I smelled it before but I don't remember it smelling this good. It's classy but in a youthful way. I love the way it sets on me. I smell more sweetness to it but not in an intense way. It's so pretty. It kind of smells like lychee to me. It's more of a sweetish-clean smell. Not warm. I love it!!!

I’m a slut for southern florals like jasmine, and honeysuckle and I love this perfume. I see people saying that it smells like sunscreen or coconut but personally I don’t get any other notes but jasmine and musk, I’m not a fan of coconut/tropical scents when it comes to perfume so I appreciate that.

This opens up with some floral jasmine, but quickies settles into a creamy, sweetenes coconut that is beachy and beautiful It has a strong accent profile but unfortunately doesn't project much, though may if oversprayed

Love at first sniff. Beautiful. Feminine. Just gorgeous. I don’t notice the coconut note that some have mentioned. Good projection and longevity. Had a decant. Have bought a bottle!

I'm sampling this- as it was included with a lot I purchased online with some MJ florals. This one is delicious- but comparing side-by-side with the OG Amazing Grace- I don't see the similarity- except for maybe the softness & clean scent profile. While OG AG is sharper and more floral- AG-Jasmine is mellow and down-to-earth. AG-Jasmine is a little stronger- with better longevity & a similar close-to-skin sillage, on my skin. At first I got straight coconut nectar. It's creamy, salty, and reminds me of holidays by the beach. I don't get jasmine, but I do get bergamot. I don't get "sunscreen," but I do get a smell similar to some higher-end coconut body products... or my hair after taking a bath with coconut & lime shampoo at a resort. For that reason- I probably wouldn't buy a bottle (when I could get some nice shampoo instead). But I do think it's a delicious scent. It reminds me of the ocean. I'm a little more of a fan of the OG- but this is a great pick- and an easy blind-buy if you enjoy coconut-citruses.

I like this perfume, not sure if I love it yet. When I first put it on (out of the shower) it smells like a lovely, clean, feminine shampoo. I love those kinds of scents and am always looking for one! However when it dries down I smell a lot more coconut, which is not my favorite note. I wish it was more floral and Jasmine, or even a little more musky as opposed to coconut... To me that makes it a little dated. It has light/moderate silage (especially if you spray it on your clothes as well), which is not unheard of for such a light scent. I do like it more than recent summer philosophy released (always hopeful). Good for summer, but likely not my signature scent.

This is an absolutely pretty scent! The combination of coconut water and jasmine is so good. This is the right type of coconut in my opinion. I'm not too much of a fan of gourmand or heavy coconut scents. This is more like a coconut water/jasmine tea type of quality. It's a light, soft, and sweet fragrance, it reminds me of luxurious floral soap. Perfect for warmer weather. I just wish this scent lasted longer! It feels like I get 1 hour...maybe 2 hours tops when wearing this. It's practically a body mist, not an EDT. But still, a very lovely body mist....

I was talked into this purchase and while the smell is growing on me, I believe it’s easily replicated in body sprays, as the dry off is similar. It opens with a white floral citrus and for me within a few hours it’s a largely musky. My husband noticed the notes of coconut and I believe some of the floral definitely clings to the musk but not enough that I’d implore someone else to buy it. The dry off is a powdery musk (the friends older sister’s bedroom). It reminds me very much of after shower. I overall prefer and recommend AG bergamot over jasmine.

Just got it today and it's beautiful. I just wish it actually had some sillage, people only smell it on me when they get in super close, like to hug me. I really can't complain much thought because the smell is so divine. It's so simple yet perfect. I feel like I'm frolicking through a meadow of wildflowers and drinking a water with lemon LOOL

This is a light, rice milk coconut and slightly soapy (fresh) scent. Gentle white florals and musk. This is just my style. Somewhat soft, warm, comforting. Not too sweet. Not too loud. Just comfy to wear for myself.

Has a beachy, suntan lotion smell, but is lovely; it just does not last for long on me, like all the other AG scents I have tried

I think as I age my nose is starting to dislike jasmine. In tea its fine but in perfume it smells kind of dirty in a moist way, not like dry earth or dirt. Kinda musty. Anyways I bought this thinking it would be up my alley. Resprayed recently and I was bothered by the scent. It reminds me of powdery deoderant, and the smell transports me to middle school girls changeroom where everyone's body sprays and powders would linger into a suffocating cloud that mixed with the smell of BO. I strongly associate it with a time in my life where I was insecure, unhappy with my body, and stinky. I'm sure some people love this and it works for them. I am just so particular with florals- I find them stifling unless they are anchored by dry woods, something menthol, or have some fruity notes. Otherwise it's not something I want to smell on my skin.

I really get a plain herbal coconut water. Not a perfume, smells like a room spray at a spa? Had high expectations based on the awards and popularity, but maybe England just isn't the right atmosphere to bring out the best in this scent. I've tried it in different seasons and temps. I'm keeping it, because it has a non-perfume pillow spray kind of appeal, and I'm still waiting to see if it wakes up past this freshly opened woody coconut vibe. For this reason I'd say it's totally unisex.

Bought this at TJMaxx on an impulse buy and am grateful I didn't pay the full price because this is a "good everyday perfume" rather than something special due to the longevity of the scent. It will last a maximum of 2 hours (in my experience) with layering and reminds me more of a "heavier" body spray than perfume. I do love the scent itself though, light and acceptable to work or everyday use.

A sweet midwestern lady on a Florida vacation wearing Kate Spade sunglasses. This is a floral for people who don't really like florals. I get musky coconut with a hint of flowers, so I don't think this fragrance is aptly named. It doesn't smell like jasmine in particular. But it does smell nice.

What's wrong with my batch or me? I don't smell jasmine or coconut. It just smells like toner(cosmetics). Syrup + unknown floral + right amount of spice

I got this as a dabber sample with my Amazing Grace EDT full-size (a signature scent of mine). It smelt different enough from the original with the underlying DNA of Amazing Grace, but unfortunately was not for me. I don't really like coconut notes and it doesn't invoke any of the quintessential "summer vibes" for me (I live in a tropical climate where it's summer all year round) so that's also a huge reason. And yeah, maybe it should've been named Amazing Grace Coconut instead of Jasmine, because the star player is definitely coconut, not jasmine, at least to my nose. The jasmine note serves to intensify the coconut even more. Granted, a dabber doesn't give the same experience as a spray would, so this might have been a limitation. On my skin, the coconut gave me a bit of a headache (again, I am not a fan of coconut notes to begin with) and started turning a bit sour. Not sure if this was due to the dabber format. I had a similar issue with Amazing Grace turning sour after a while when I used the rollerball, but never had any issues with the spray. I passed on my sample to my friend and she happens to really like it though!

This has the body lotion feel of the original with the coconutty texture from Pure Grace summer Moments. The florals here are rather buttery so I'm really not feeling this one. The Jasmine does have a slightly screechy quality to my nose nose but it's sitting in a sweet-ish body butter scent so, not as sharp as some white florals can be. I can see the crossover here with Coconut Fizz

I rarely say this about a fragrance, but this one is actually repulsive to my nose! Agree with LSAUG's apt review below: "Makes me gag." I normally love jasmine, and coconut water - but the combo of the two together makes it almost smell like an onion-y B.O. The coconut is salty and strong - smells like you're out doing yard work on a hot summer's day, and you stopped to do a sniff check on your armpits. Best to try this one in store with a tester, or order a sample - don't spring for the full bottle before trying, definitely not a safe blind buy!

This was a scrubber. I was honestly surprised by how much I didn't like this one, since I tend to gravitate towards jasmine-based scents. However, I think the coconut is a little too overwhelming on my skin and does not mix well with the jasmine. Perhaps if there were another note to bridge the gap between the jasmine and coconut (or if the bergamot were a bit stronger) then I might like this, but this was a surprising "no" for me.

Cheap sunscreen scent. I ask where is the jasmine? I smell cheap coconut and a cheap musk but no jasmine to be found. Makes me gag.

I just wanted to say that longevity absolutely has many factors that affect performance. I've worn this fragrance a few times, and one time it didn't have great performance, another time it was pretty decent, but just today, this perfume lasted over 24 hours on me. I showered at night and put on the fragrance (thinking that it was just going to be my bedtime scent), but didn't feel okay and slept the entire day away. When I finally woke up (in the evening), I noticed that this fragrance was still going, quite strong. I did notice it as well, when I woke up earlier in the morning, and was helping my daughter to get ready for school, and that in itself surprised me. But I was completely blown away, when she got home in the evening and I kept smelling it. I asked my daughter if it was just me that could smell it and she said she could also smell it. I honestly couldn't believe that, so I didn't tell her what I was wearing and asked her to guess what I had on (I have 250 fragrances). She explained what she smelled and got the exact scent. So I just wanted to say, that it does have the ability to last. I just wish that I knew what I did to cause it to last as long as it did, so I could actually enjoy it while being awake. I don't even know how long it would have actually lasted because I ended up taking a shower, but I feel that it had the potential to last for hours longer, had I not decided to shower. But I just couldn't bring myself to not shower, solely so I could find out how long a fragrance would last on my skin. Also, it was still decently projecting, when I washed it off. Personally, I don't need a fragrance to last even close to 24 hours, but it was a very nice surprise to wake up and experience, after feeling like garbage for the entire day. I myself, feel gross that I could even say that it lasted for as long as it did, despite being sick in bed, as the reason for even obtaining this knowledge. At least I now know, that this scent doesn't need to be relegated as a bedtime scent (for me), because it actually lasts and projects (on me). Fingers crossed, that this is a fragrance that reacts well with my skin chemistry and that I'll have future days where I get to actually enjoy it, for a full day. With my luck, I'm never going to experience it lasting like this again and the great performance that I experienced, will be a wasted one. But even if I don't get insane lasting power from this fragrance, like I did today, when I did wear it after showering, it performed quite decently. Especially being that it is only an EDT, this fragrance in general, lasts on my skin. So everyone else who isn't getting many hours of wear time from it should take that into consideration. EDTs are known for not lasting all that well. Side note: I will say, that the day that it didn't last on my skin, was when I put it on after receiving it. Which was mid-day, so it wasn't on freshly washed skin, and that could be why it didn't perform well. The other time that it was decent, may have actually been better than I even perceived it to have been, because my nose was messed up and I couldn't smell all that well, at the time. ********* I'm not knocking anyone who doesn't shower daily, because I know that everyone has different preferences and/or reasoning for their specific hygeine choices and/or routine.*********

this is such a pretty fragrance !!! philosophy did a wonderful job with this.........if u love jasmine but want a jasmine scent thats light clean & airy this is it :) its a very soft smooth jasmine scent.............its like wearing a jasmine cloud on ur skin...........soft & pillow'y i dont get any bergamot which is fine with me cuz im not a huge bergamot fan lol but the jasmine is just perfect in this scent - its not loud - its just ncie & quiet for those simple times u want to smell clean & fresh :) and as far as longevity well lol its the usual philosophy longevity which is about none lol but if u spray on ur clothes u get a longer life :)

This is "okay"... but not my favorite. I DO love Philosophys Pure Grace , Amazing Grace, and Summer Surf.. However, this is awfully DRY(?)... literally. It should be called "Desert Jasmine." It's unusual. Warm and dry. I feel like it needs a touch of something sweet to be added to it or layered.. It has a tiny bit of coconut (I think? but it needs more, or some type honey note added? If it has coconut, it's the brown, hard, outer shell with little to no scent.) This is tested in spring weather and it's warm out. Just not impressed and I have a full bottle. 😔 I wonder what I could layer with this to make it shine? Update: I returned it. Yuck.

I too believe that the coconut eclipses the jasmine, which I strain to detect. It’s as summery as they come, and the bergamot and musk elevate it somewhat, though not quite enough in my opinion. As others have said, it’s a weak EDT with an unapologetically summery vibe. It’s not nearly so complex as Maison Margiela Beach Walk or the brilliantly brewed (but prohibitively expensive) Tom Ford Soleil Blanc. But ... it’s youthful, sweet, sunny and comparatively affordable. It’s one of those fragrances that elicits compliments and you can’t help wondering, “Why this one and not [insert interesting fragrance here]?”

This is my second most-worn fragrance in my large collection during the spring months. It's an unoffensive, soft floral that isn't too green or mature. Jasmine naturally has a sweetness that balances the powdery musk very well. I am not usually a fan of powdery/musky fragrances but this is so well designed that all other elements serve to bring out the beauty of the jasmine.

I think this is a very pretty offering from Philosophy. Sometimes fragrances with a minimal note count turn out the best. This is one of them. I think butterflies would love this nectar. Lovely for Spring and Summer months.

Doesn't smell like Jasmine to me, I smell salty coconut...This is like a skin scent, it reminds me of how your skin would smell like at the beach..salty mixed with suntan lotion.

I truly just smell suntan lotion. The coconut overwhelms the jasmine, while the jasmine itself just seems to lend a generic white floral note.

The only fragrance from them I like is Fresh Cream Warm Cashmere. The rest are soapy florals. Nothing lasts long at all.
