Amazing Grace

It seems Amazing Grace will forever be my comfort, my go-to, my *everyday* frag. Truly, this scent is my mother in a bottle—in the most beautiful and heartwarming way possible. I can still remember the very first time I caught its soft, radiant trail on her. I must’ve been 10 or 11, just a kid, but the memory is burned into my mind as vividly as if it happened yesterday. She had just finished getting ready, and we were about to head out for the day. I was sitting in the back seat of the car when the air-conditioning turned on and, all at once, I was hit with the most enchanting burst of bergamot and lily of the valley. I don’t even think I realized, at the time, how much I adored it. It was indirect, unconscious even—a quiet, almost magical moment of infatuation with how incredible she smelled. That first impression of Amazing Grace was so floral, citrusy, and bright, and even though lily of the valley is often seen as a more “mature” note, Philosophy’s take on it feels anything but dated. There’s something so modern, so youthful about their rendition—soft, delicate, and airy, almost like the petals of a flower brushing against your skin. It’s a fragrance I wholeheartedly believe anyone, even under 35, can pull off. Now here I am, 22 (almost 23!), and I’ve gone through at least three or four bottles of this little masterpiece. Every time I wear it, it’s like a time machine that brings me back to moments I didn’t realize I’d treasure so deeply—being in class with friends leaning over to ask, “What are you wearing? You smell so good,” or customers at work stopping mid-checkout just to compliment me. Amazing Grace has been my secret weapon, a fragrance that not only makes *me* feel confident but also leaves everyone around me intrigued. Now, I’ll be honest: the longevity isn’t the best. It fades sooner than I’d like, but it’s hard to complain when a 4-ounce bottle is so affordable, especially if you snag one on eBay or during Philosophy’s big sales. A little overspray or mid-day reapplication solves that problem effortlessly. And let me just put you on a little game-changer: if you mix Amazing Grace with Glossier You, you get the most intoxicatingly fresh, floral, musky, citrusy cloud of *heaven*. I’m not kidding. To me it is 2010s, shabby chic, high school, hopeful, twee, nostalgic. It smells like iCarly and 500 Days of Summer, like your best friend's older sister of whom you have fond memories as a babysitter. It is really sweet and floral but without being overly sugary or powdery. The best way to describe the smell is MUTED, like flower petals in water, the memory of a cozy bedroom where the walls are still light pink from when you were a kid but they're covered in posters from your favorite indie teen idols and string lights and photobooth photo strips from the 8th grade dance aka one of the best nights of your life...and then there's that weird harlequin mask on the wall from the 80s that your grandma insists on keeping because she bought it in Venice, and there's the needlepoint pillow with your name embroidered into it hanging on your door, and your childhood teddy bear...everything reminding you that you are growing up. There's a sort of grape smell, like not GRAPE grape, and not at all sour, but almost like if grapes were a flower? Or if someone drank a hibiscus flavored Lacroix after chewing grape gum and then gave you a sip and you realized they backwashed a little... I think you will like this perfume if you already like it. If you don't already like it, it's not going to impress you. It is a good perfume to wear if you are in high school and you've matured past Bath & Body Works spray of Moonlit Path or Sweet Pea (it doesn't smell anything like those). Super, super inoffensive in my opinion, as long as you don't put on too much. If you use too much it starts to get really soapy, especially as the day goes on, and the fresh floral notes fade leaving a kind of absent smell like the olfactory equivalent of a face with no eyebrows. Even though it's nostalgic it's not musty dusty or old. It lasts a long time in my experience. You could wear this perfume in a closed room and I don't think anyone would be too mad. Would recommend for teachers working with younger kids.

I’m weird. I always go to this site before buying my perfumes instead of actually smelling them at the store first but it;s never done me wrong or led me astray. I read the reviews and pored over the scent profiles of Amazing Grace before finally buying it and put it on less than a minute before deciding to post a review. After getting through that initial alcohol scent most perfumes have it quickly calmed to a gentle lean floral scent that is simply spring in a bottle. I love clean scents so this suits me to a tee. It’s not ‘grandma’ or ‘boring’ at all but it is a classic scent that is the epitome of subtlety. That’s not a bad thing. Many women wear overpowering scents that fill the room and linger for several minutes after they leave and they may be able to pull it off but that isn’t my thing. My mother always told me perfume was an intimate thing that should be noticed only when you are within someone’s personal space or within ‘hugging distance’. If everyone wore a room wide scent the world would be nothing be a lash of odor. This perfume lingers in that it leaves a subtle trail but is so clean and fresh that it doesn’t overwhelm the senses. It’s perfect for the office or everyday wear. To give you a sense of how this ranks, my other go-to’s are Perry Ellis 360 and L’air du Temps. I’d say this hits right in the middle. I can definitely see buying this again and while L’air du Temps will forever be my nostalgic favorite I can see this as taking the third spot behind 360 as my daily wear spritz. 360 is a bit more ‘soapy’ which I love but if you prefer a strong yet subtle floral this should leave you with a smile.

Perfect fragrance for a romantic date or wedding day. if it had some Ylang and more green it would smell much like yankee candle "wedding day". Opening was a ton of aldehyde and bergamot, with a hint of lemon and freesia. then quickly bloomed into a pungent mix of soapy white floral, specifically rose and lily. then dried down into a base of powdery lemony rosy musk. sillage and longevity were poor. I recommend paying for the eau du parfum not toilette it's extremely feminine and would suit a young woman under 40 (or a youthful female) because it doesn't have the complexity or depth of a mature fragrance. for work, the soap makes it inoffensive but I personally would not wear at work for fear of not being taken seriously since its very simple and girly. I can see some people voted it was like baby grace.i have both and say no, this one has far more white florals and zingy citrus and freesia. baby grace is more musky and powdery and not zingy at all. I bought a sample then instantly bought the whole eau du parfum because it's like putting on your wedding dress on your wedding day when you're young and have your whole life ahead of you, and you glance outside and see the warm sun on a summers day beaming down on your white rose bouquet. you feel loved, hopeful, excited yet fearful. butterflies in your tummy. sparkling, hopeful, fresh, romantic, exciting, you feel beautiful and feminine, youthful, loved. what I love about philosophy is the fragrances are soapy and inoffensive but have a selection of powerfully emotive notes. Recommend this!

This perfume sits so close to the skin but it is madly long lasting. I applied it at 9 am and thought it would go away by the afternoon, so that I could try other perfumes and couldn’t! Literaly the hollows of my elbows smelled like nice femenin soft freesia all day! The aroma stuck to my skin till 2 am at night. This kind of lasting power blew me away. I have the 10 ml mini, by the way, it gave me a very good impression, I wouldn’t mind buying it, it’s under $60 and so soft and femenin. I liked it, but didn’t love it. But then I thought: if I need a perfume that lasts all day and sticks to my skin as if it was permanently smelling like little flowers, this is it. Also, my daughter wanted to try it and applied 2 drops behind the ears around 2 pm, and by 8:00 when I hugged her, she still smelled like Amazing Grace quite clearly. So it must’ve lasted a whole lot more on her. That made me realize this perfume is long lasting in other people’s skin aswell.

I wish Fragrantica would have separate listings for the EDT (1996) and the EDP (2006). At the Philosophy website they have different notes lists. For the EDT they only mention bergamot, muguet and musk (in the Odelusi edition). For the EDP they have a complete notes list: top notes: bergamot, lemon, neroli; middle notes: muguet (lily of the valley), orange blossom, rose, jasmine; base notes: musk blend. No wonder I love the EDP more. When I tried them side by side at Ulta, I noticed the EDP seems more floral, while the EDT skews almost melon-y. But I enjoy both. So I purchased a gift set from eBay that includes a travel spray of the EDP and a mini spray of the EDT. Thanks to @vanillabeandrop for clarifying that this listing is for the EDP on account of the notes list. I will use the 20th Birthday Special Edition listing for the EDT.

My favourite perfume!!! Its soft, floral, simple and just really pretty! it leans powdery without it being 'grandma' esque. Its the kind of smell that gives 'fresh out the shower' soapy vibes tied in with a beautiful fresh, floral bouquet that brings me a sense of comfort and cleanliness. I love this perfume so much I have both the lotion and the eau du parfum! It also pairs really well with rose water scents to create a beautiful soapy floral which is my personal cup of tea. I layer it with the method body pure peace shower gel and Rose from bath and body works personally. Overall i think this is a wonderful, simple scent suitable for daily wear and if you like soft florals with a hint of citrus you should give this a try.

(EDT sample) So fresh, delicate, clean, powdery. I love the burst of crisp bergamot at the start but the other top notes are kind of watered down, definitely "muted" as another user described. The florals shine beautifully in the middle. A very “clean” scent that can be used from formal midday occasions to everyday outings. It's so elegant and calm, like going for a facial with cucumbers on your eyes. It smells like a woman you looked up to as a child. I understand why some wouldn't like this soapy, powdery quality that it holds for a while but I don't care. It doesn't make me want to sneeze it away like certain other florals would. It’s pretty simple though so don’t get it if you’re looking for a real eye-catcher of course

Extremely pleasant - I don't think this could offend anyone. Subtle florals, mildly soapy, smoothed out by that musk. Amazing Grace is aptly titled - a graceful fragrance I picture on someone clean and put-together. I didn't realize how long ago this was released, and I think it has aged fantastically. Some say longevity is lacking, but I smelled this in the crooks of my elbows waking up the next morning. It still smelled beautiful. It doesn't just reduce to musk, I smell especially the freesia until the very end. Bonus that this is not drying and actually leaves the applied to areas rather smooth. A quality clean-girl gem! Excited to add this into my spring rotation. Edit: loads of compliments as well. :)

I have been using the nude rose from amazing grace line, and my husband bought me this gift set for Christmas. It’s pure perfection! A really classy soapy clean smell that just elevates my mood. It’s fresh without being creamy and lighter than air. I think it will be perfect for springtime. Sadly, the longevity is appalling- around 2 hours before it fades to nothing. It pairs really well with the lotion though. It’s a crisp, freshly ironed white shirt with minimal floral and citrus. I would love an EDP version but also quite enjoy its lightness. It’s lovely to wear to bed after a bath, comfort without heavy warmth. Refreshing is a good word for it!

One of my very favorites of all time, have used it since I was a teen but it never gets old, have been through many bottles of it over the years. The grapefruit, orange, and bergamot are such a sharp beautiful sillage, very crisp and natural, a clean and strong scent. The floral middle notes add a nice soft balance as the scent settles. The freesia, jasmine, and rose are very pretty and natural, each detectable and not one overpowering the other. The musk base is beautiful, sweet and powdery but not overpowering. Has a very clean, happy, sunny smell. Longevity is great on my skin, up to 10 hours depending on activity levels.

I absolutely love Amazing Grace, I really enjoy wearing it after a shower or going to bed, it's such a comforting, clean scent. It really reminds me of the smell of bubble bath. It's so gentle and feminine. It does smell soapy, but not in an old-fashioned way. I do think any age could wear this, I don't think it's a "grandma" scent at all. I will say it doesn't have spectacular longevity or sillage, it's quite an intimate perfume, but I quite like that about it. For me it's a cosy bedtime scent, although I have worn it during the day too. I'll definitely repurchase once I run out as I truly feel like I can't be without it.

This is an oldie but goodie. I'd had it years and years ago in my collection when I was just getting into perfume. Now having fallen way down the rabbit hole into all levels of niche, I picked up a bottle of this to smell, for nostalgia's sake, and had to buy it. I still adore this pretty, delicate easy-going floral -- it's so comforting to me and I love wearing it!! As others have noted, performance is mediocre, but for the price I can forgive it that. I think Pure Grace (which I LOVE love love!) performs a bit better. Amazing Grace is just so lovely and an easy, comforting everyday wear.

Oh my god 💖 this is me in a bottle. I’m in love with this scent. Some people may think it’s simple, but to me it’s feminine, fresh, clean, and elegant, everything I love. It feels like my signature scent, the one I want people to remember me by. I’ve tried many expensive perfumes, but nothing feels like Amazing Grace. It reminds me of ballerina slippers after a shower: soft, clean, feminine, and a little addictive. I’m so happy I found it. The only problem is that it doesn’t last very long, which is why I still choose Chanel No. 5 when I want something stronger.

It smells like a beautiful expensive soap, but it's not powdery. It's quite modern despite being vintage by now. It is a straightforward clean floral citrus musk – basic perhaps, but there can be beauty in simplicity. If you want to smell freshly scrubbed, feminine, and pretty in a "you smell good" way, not a "your perfume smells good" way, this is a scent you should try. I can't imagine anyone really disliking the smell of this. It is light and fleeting even with generous application however.

Soft & soapy rose. This scent isn't a laundry scent- but the image I get is of fresh linen & blue skies. It's classy... and as some other have mentioned, "squeaky clean." My mother & I have had many of the Amazing Grace perfumes and body products over the years- and I never get tired of smelling it. Longevity & sillage aren't great on my skin- which makes it the perfect bedtime & after-shower spritz- but not a headturner. This is the perfect non-offensive fragrance to wear close to your skin.

Perfect perfect skin scent. The opening reminds me a bit of a water park. It smells like chlorine and sunblock-y skin that's been in the sun too long. The lily does just enough to bring it back around to a nice springy fresh profile. It hardly lasts 45 minutes on my skin, though, but at least the base is a nice and inoffensive floral musk. It's good if you like a white floral but not powdery or soapy dry downs. I've yet to try the EDP but I hope that lasts longer.

This is heaven in a bottle for those who like clean but feminine smells. It is flowery and very powdery, so it does smell a like bit like makeup. In a good way. But it is does not last long. However, for me, this is a great everyday smell. Very simple and elegant. I don't get a lot of compliments with it, but all of my friends love it and say "what perfume? it's just your smell." Personally, I love it.

Amazing Grace and was my everyday fragrance for close to a decade. The soft, clean and floral fragrance is at once feminine, clean and subtle. Over time I’ve grown bored of it but it’s a reliable classic still in my rotation. I wish it lasted a bit longer, but I appreciate that isn’t overpowering for daily wear and inoffensive in most professional settings.

Delicate, clean, floral and just a little musky. Does it remind me a bit of a floral soap? Yes, but the finest soap around. (Why yes, I do buy the body wash.) If you're looking for a strong smell, don't pick this! But as someone with a very sensitive nose who loves more subtle and delicate smells, this is an all-time classic.

I keep this on hand. It’s a great value for the longevity you get. Especially in combo with the lotion. I buy the Mother’s Day set every year. The initial citrus notes aren’t my favorite but the don’t last long. The dry down is a mellow floral with lots of musk. It smells comforting to me. 💕

this is an incredibly standard/linear soft floral frag... nothing crazy but it's definitely pleasant. it was one of my entryway perfumes and although i do admire it for that, i wouldn't see myself repurchasing. definitely makes you smell clean and v feminine if you're into that :)

I love this scent. Its the only one I have bought twice. As someone who is sensitive to "perfumey" and alchoholic fragrances, I can wear this all the time, it just smells clean and floral and lovely. I get mostly jasmine, but its a fresh jasmine tea type jasmine.

I love to spray this after an everything shower and before bed. Though floral, it just smells clean to me. Simple and pretty. I also have the scent in a body wash and body lotion which I use often. Obsessed is understating my devotion.

Huge compliment getter. Is it basic? Sure. Sometimes an uncomplicated scent is exactly what I crave, though, and this always fits when I want something light, clean, fresh, and romantic. Men seem to love it.

This is a “your skin but better” scent. It’s soft and sexy in my opinion and when your lover smells it ,he will imagine you fresh out the shower or taking a shower with you ;) .

🎵"Amazing Grace - how sweet the scent That saved a wretch like me!"🎵 Okay, with that stunning lyrical introduction, you blessed Perfumites probably imagine that I will give a rave review to this perfume. Yet, whilst I like this perfume, I'm not adoring it - yet! Soft, powdery, soapy floral. So soapy! So powdery! This is close to being one of those ideal just-out-of-the shower scents. Or your just-drifting-off-to-sleep scents. Or your damn!-everyone-keeps-telling-me-I-smell-clean-and-fresh scents. And - honestly - we all need at least one or two of those scents in our collection. A burst of citrus before all the soapy, powdery goodness. This is a *sweet* musk bomb. Quite a *heady* musk, too. Also, the citrus I mostly get is grapefruit which is very hit-or-miss with me at the best of times. This is why it's a like, not a love at this moment. Additionally, I was pregnant with my bubba (He's absolutely beautiful, thanks for asking!) last year/early this year, and the degree of powder in this scent made it intolerable to me while I was up the duff (I bought this perfume not long prior to getting pregnified). Unfortunately, I *know* this made me hesitant about cultivating a love for this fragrance. That old perfume-nausea association. In saying that, wearing this helps me fool myself into thinking I am a well-rounded, cultured, kind, approachable woman who always wears white cotton or linen and maintains a spotless home (Ahahahahaha - dreams!). I'm also on a bit of a soapy clean kick recently (hit me up with some recommendations, please!). So there's that. 💦 Sillage actually isn't half-bad at first, but does settles to a skin scent. It lingers on your clothes rather well, though - jeez! I can live like a pig in these clothes for days and still smell fresh! Longevity is okay; maybe 3-4 hours? Essentially, the main notes I get are grapefruit, freesia, and musk. I received the edp as a Christmas gift from a great niece and at the time I thought it was something she would actually choose for someone in her age range rather than for me. For some reason, I thought this was one of those fragrances meant for teens. Maybe the packaging, maybe the name, IDK, but that's what I thought. I mean, she could have picked up one of the new Liz Taylor fragrances in the same price range, but she didn't. She chose this which gave me even more reason to think this is something she would have chosen for herself. In fairness, since no one in my family are into perfumes the way I am it is understandable that she wouldn't even know where to start when selecting a perfume gift for me. The best perfume gifts I got from family in the past were when they let the SA's from department stores do the choosing. But she is a kid and did save up to buy me this with her allowance and took the time and effort to shop for it, so I made a big fuss over it and wore it while she was here. Surprisingly, I actually found the dry down very pretty. More freesia than rose or jasmine, but the freesia, a note I normally find very sharp, is tempered with a gentle musk and a little powder. It's simple, pretty, clean, and very comforting. I think I understand why it is so popular. It has a very calming effect. This would be a nice perfume for a new mother, someone in the medical profession or teaching or anywhere you want to project a safe and secure vibe. It doesn't have a lot of silage so I couldn't imagine it bothering anyone who is perfume adverse. I happen to really like it and am happy that I finally got to try something that I have seen everywhere for years and just ignored. Not anymore. I think I'll pick up the body lotion too. 😉

My ten year long love affair with amazing grace is one for the storybooks- I have been utterly obsessed with this perfume since I was a little girl. This scent is definitely a daytime summer scent, it has a certain sunscreen kind of smell that I find incredibly alluring and is a great perfume for all ages. As a bonafide amazing grace lover I also have the body wash and lotion along with the perfume. It is a very clean scent (not to be confused with "clean" ambroxan heavy second skin scents like phlur missing person or jhag nap), this scent just smells like you just hopped out of the shower and has that soapy yummy shampoo scent mixed with the sunscreen your mom but on you as a kid. It is a very "pretty" scent and this is the kind of perfume I would gift a teenage girl as their first "big girl" perfume, not too overpowering but the perfect amount of mature and practicality for school or work. Definitely opens bright and citrusy and then light florals kick in and blend together with the musk base. The musk base does a great job of aiding the longevity and adding to that clean showery fresh scent, however I will say if you are looking for high projection sillage this perfume may underperform for you. EDT is very light compared to EDP (EDP is the better deal, EDT is barely noticeable after a few hours) Pros: Classic clean scent Not overpowering but still pleasant Scent develops nicely throughout the day and doesn't fall short on the dry down Cons: Slightly overpriced for what you get Not a typical floral scent, clean soapy accord is dominant so if you don't like that it may not be your thing Not great on sillage factor and needs to be reapplied after a few hours

I found a full four ounce bottle at a thrift store, barely used. I knew I liked it because my daughter has a travel size and I'd sampled it. This isn't even the type of scent I usually go for, but WOW, it's nice. I wore it running errands today, and when I was driving in my car the scent bubble was just divine. It didn't even smell quite like what it smells like when you sniff it on your wrist, it seems to project a slightly different scent, which I've never noticed a perfume do on me before. It reminds me of Love's Baby Soft from way back in the day, we are talking 1980's. Maybe they share a couple notes? It's somewhat floral, but also a clean girl smell without being soapy, and it definitely has some musk which is probably why I like it. It also wears a really long time on me, which isn't my norm at all. I was shocked to see this has been out since 1996, the year my daughter was born. I got a great deal on it, but I like it enough I think it's worth full price (not that I ever pay full price, thanks to Mercari and Ebay). The body wash is to die for too, and I had that before I got the perfume. The body wash leaves you definitely scented, way more than say Bath and Body Works body washes. If you are a floral girl, give it a try. This gourmand lover gal loves this, and that's saying a lot.

Seeing the mixed reviews here I avoided this one for a good long while. I already had Pure Grace- where a headache inducing static-cling scent stuck to me for hours. -pun intended- - Totally thought this one would be the same- But, no! I actually kinda super like this one. I think I prefer lily of the valley to freesia & that’s why it’s not a complete love for me- but it’s a nice cool firm freesia. It’s all very clean and the laundry musk is very nice. I just like my musks warmer, maybe? This seems more crisp, clean, folded than warm & fluffy. A little sharp & a little fast like a cool breeze- it’s really nice. I’m thinking I might try layering it with something a little warmer to slow it down. It is quite beautiful. I wish the citrus in the opening lasted longer & that I could smell more than just the hint of rose & jasmine ~these all tease in quick whispers But really, to say all of this and not recognize that it is beautiful exactly for what it is would be a dis-grace (da-dum-tssss). It is beautiful. I’m on my quest to find my love & this is a lovely one to visit along the way~*

I have both the pre-Coty version and the reformulation/current version. My first experience was with the current version and upon my initial experience a few years ago, I was so disappointed and immediately put it away in the donate/re-gift pile. It just gave off a very grandma-esque vibe at the time. I decided to try it again after seeing QVC presentations about it and wondering if my mind had changed. I started purposely wearing a lot of it, almost every day. In doing so, I started to become obsessed with it. I could finally pick up more of the clean/musky notes and adored the floral bouquet it gave off. I then decided to pick up a pre-Coty version as I heard that one was superior to the reformulated version. The pre-Coty one is actually quite different; much lighter and airy, and the musk is much sweeter. Truthfully, I can’t pick a favorite, but they’re both really nice. If you want to smell clean, put together, and don’t want to think too long about a scent, try one of these.

Every girl should have at least one fragrance to use on those "umm, not sure what to expect of this day, not sure about how feel today, not sure 'bout anything today at all" days. I feel on these weird days Amazing grace suits perfectly. People around you won't notice it as a scent, but rather notice you smell good, instead of your perfume smelling good. It gives a clean sensation with lots of lemons and tiny tiny apple accord, but very soon the lemony edges are tamed down by some feminine florals with rose and jasmine and fluffed with clean musk. After all it gives a clean but feminine sensation, wich suits you while in jeans and t-shirt digging up the garden, as well as going out in evening dress or dating, it's just plainly pleasant, after all I haven't met anyone who disleked it, actually most male commented rather positive, as I said "you smell good" not "your perfume smells good" ;-)

If you know what the pink bottle of Johnson’s Baby Cologne smells like, this scent is VERY similar. This was a gift from my mother, and I joked that she got me an elevated baby cologne. This is a really gentle powdery floral, and wearing it makes me feel like a fluffy cotton ball... in the sense that it’s a soft, freshly washed, light-as-air kind of clean. It has that airy white musk and pale floral sweetness that feels cozy but also really fresh, like clean sheets, floral detergent, baby powder, and warm skin. I have the Eau de Toilette. It doesn’t last long nor is the sillage very strong. After roughly an hour the scent had faded, but I am also a light sprayer using maybe 1-3 total on my pulse points, so keep that in mind. Nevertheless, I think it’s a great fragrance! It’s a very pretty clean scent, good for times when you want to smell good but subtly.

This is a nice fresh clean musk and soft floral. I actually tried laundry detergent on etsy at first that was based on Amazing Grace perfume. So initially, my thoughts were old-fashioned ironed dress shirt for serious grownups. The scent softened to clean musk floral. Omg, I loved all the clothes I washed with it, it was so soothing. I get when people say grandma, vintage vibe. Just give this grandma a chance. I thought the same thing too. It's not that serious or ancient. Quite a pleasant clean scent. Something soothing and comforting about it. Daytime and bedtime, anytime is good. Moderate silage 3-4 hours. I was looking to get Ouai Mercer street which is quite similar to this but unfortunately not in production anymore. If you like this, try Juliette and Ivy on Etsy, laundry detergent is da best.

This likely smells like the era it was created in, but I still like it. I actually don't remember smelling it back then, but my daughter left a travel spray of it at my house so I've tried it a couple times. It's fresh and clean smelling. It has a definite appeal. Some days I like it better than other days. I guess it depends on my mood. I also just got an unopened, big bottle of the body wash (in this same scent) at a thrift shop, and it's divine. The body wash leaves me smelling so nice, I really wouldn't have to apply perfume for a while. I've come to love Philosophy's body washes. This perfume also lasts a decent amount of time on my perfume eating skin. It doesn't smell the same, but scent wise it is in the same category as Victoria's Secret's original Heavenly.

this definitely isnt a perfume i would buy today but i had it gifted to me years ago and it surprisingly became a favorite fragrance for a while. its fresh floral and super elegant. it doesnt smell like perfume, it smells like clean skin and soap. its definitely very mature, but not in a grandma way; i would say its mature in a wealthy single aunt way. you certainly wont get many compliments unless someone hugs you or smells your shirt, but its super long lasting. it's a nostaglic scent for me because of how it would cling to my clothes for days at a time, even though i would hardly ever apply it. i cant say i would highly recommend it just because it doesnt have much of an identity, its just a lovely classic smell

soft, clean, feminine floral. has that 90s smell that many fragrances of the decade possess, it's something vintage that I can't quite put into words. it's got a clean musk that plays nicely with the floral mid notes so that the end result is something like a flowery bubble bath. I love to wear this when I want to smell nice, but I'm not really in the mood to have my fragrance announce my presence. longevity is decent for an EdT, clocking in at around 6 hours on me, but it sits very close to the skin; someone else probably won't smell it unless they're in your personal bubble. it's pretty reasonably priced for what it is, too, and I think it's a great addition to a collection.

I’m normally not a floral scent person but this one is so nice! Perfect clean girl perfume. The jasmine, freesia, orange, and the musk is amazing in this fragrance. The citrus notes aren’t overwhelming either; they add a clean spice to it. It’s powdery, and not headache inducing. I’d wear this one to sleep! It’s simple but not dull. It doesn’t at all give old lady. It doesn’t smell mature either nor does it smell childish or plasticky like something you’d find at five below. It lasts moderately and I’ll definitely be picking this scent up. Think cleanly spiced powdered jasmine rose scent! 8/10!

A fragrance that took me a while to get used to. Found this in a small collection of perfumes my mom stopped wearing and decided to keep it. In all honesty, I thought it was a very "grandma" like scent when I first started using it and couldn't stand the smell. Very strong floral and powdery notes that turn into a light powdery musky scent on the dry down. However, I've definitely learned to appreciate the scent and don't totally ignore it as it sits on my dresser anymore. Great scent for the spring and the summer, and I don't think its a bad scent to layer other scents on top of with

This is a beautiful classic fresh and clean scent. A first spray, it opens up very sharp, crisp, and bright from those citrusy notes. Sometimes it can border on screechy. After a while, it mixes into a fresh floral bouquet, the white florals are particularly dominant. There's no creaminess to this scent. It remains bright and fresh, but unfortunately, the longevity isn't that great. Like most fresh fragrances, you'd get about 4-5hrs before it transforms into a skin scent, but it does remain lovely. I think pairing it with the lotion can extend the scent, but it's not a necessity.

Initially this was a fragrance I didn't think much of, had a few samples of it through work, sniffed it in store, didn't seem very remarkable. A light, white floral with a light powdery-ness to it, nothing too offensive like some white florals can be, not overly clean and soapy either- Chanels perfume primers have been haunting my with how Dove-soap like they smell. Wearing it just to try at my other job though, I got so many compliments on it from Customers! So its inoffensiveness has sort of grown on me, if people compliment the fragrance, cant be that bad.

I expected to dislike this because I don't really like florals. But I actually really love it for average day wear. The musk helps pull this back into a deeper more inviting scent. The powdery-ness also helps add more depth. It also is very clean, which I like. Great everyday scent, it's polite and gently interesting. I don't get old lady at all, and nothing about it is screechy. Unfortunately, not long lasting and like no sillage. Not groundbreaking, but very good at what it does!

a 90s/y2k classic that is timeless and really cannot go wrong. this is a clean scent, professional yet carefree, this perfume fits the imagination of many different settings. I would say that the citrus notes really must just be adding the crispness in this perfume, because the scent I pick up is mostly the Freesia and Jasmine. I think the bergamot/orange and musk just add the “clean” & crisp to this and tone down the flowers (as this is not a super floraly scent).

This was my number one fragrance roughly 2012-2014 and I was obsessed. Such a pretty, feminine, comforting scent. Longevity is great. Crazy sillage/projection. I’ve not rebought it since I emptied my bottle in 2014. I think about getting another all the time, but can’t bring myself to when there’s more unique fragrances I could spend that money on. That, and I always recognize this fragrance on other people when I’m out. It seems like everyone wears this.
