Living Grace

Update: had a lady stop me at Goodwill yesterday and tell me that I smelled really good. Was super happy about that because I’ve really been loving this scent. I bought this because of the lily of the valley scent note. We had them outside my house when I was a kid and I loved them. At first when I sniffed the little spray hole I wasn’t so sure I was going to like it. And then like right as soon as I sprayed it I’m like hmmm I don’t know. But once it settles in a few seconds later oh my gosh it’s an absolutely beautiful scent. The perfect combination of floral and musky but not overpowering but still you can tell it’s there. I want to spray myself a bunch of times but only got a small bottle to test it out so trying to restrain myself lol. Seems to last a good bit of time for me though thankfully. Definitely recommend this scent 100%.

This is one of my easy reach spring/summer scents. If I'm in a hurry and don't have time to debate, this is my go-to. Apparently, this leans masculine on some folks, which is surprising to me. I'm not into unisex scents, and this never even struck me as unisex. It does have some black pepper, and maybe that is stronger with some people's skin chemistry. On me, it's a clean, musky, feminine floral. Very office safe and inoffensive. I love Pure Grace too (it's a bit more soapy). It was my mom's go-to scent, so when I wear it, it reminds me of her. Both have a small scent bubble to start and settle into a skin scent after an hour or two.

I don't like Amazing Grace but I do like this. I don't find them to be similar at all to be honest. This is a lovey clean scent without being really soapy or cleaning product like. It lasts 3 hours on me but I carry the perfume solid in my purse to refresh the scent. The solid has a silver shimmer to it and sits very close to the skin. I would suggest just the perfume solid if you have a need to avoid others sensitivities. This doesn't bother my asthmatic husband either. I feel fresh when I wear this but would never suggest wearing a scent to the gym though because it's offensive to others around you.

Words that come to mind: Clean, Fresh, Sunny, Shower, Crisp Air, White sheets, Spring, my favorite White T-shirt with my favorite jeans, and fresh new shoes.I adore this fragrance. I also love Pure Grace, Amazing Grace, and Pure Grace Summer Surf. But Living Grace, steps up the *blast* of floral freshness to another level, as the others I love by them are more delicate, soft, and fresh. This shouts, I am clean, fresh, and I'm going to get a ish done today! A definite LOVE for me.

Very fresh,not offensive and simple. (But not in a generic way)this Fragrance is Light Florals. It definitely gives off some green notes, especially upon first spray. The lilly of the valley shines here beautifully. It's like your skin, but better. Not a powerhouse by any means. It's light, airy, and beautiful. Perfect for spring and summer. Average staying power and projection. But the Fragrance is soooo inexpensive, you can truely afford to over spray:)

I blind bought the travel size a while back and forgot about it until I noticed it on my perfume shelf today. I love it. I also love Gap Heaven, but they don’t smell alike and aren’t 1:1.....maybe cousins. This is simple, basic, clean,soapy, white floral,and inoffensive—perfect every day scent for the office or daytime leisure.

This smells inoffensive and fresh. Perfect for office or hospital settings. It dries to a powdery and clean scent. I like using this before bedtime. I have Amazing Grace, Pure Grace and Unconditional love. I like all of them when i want to deviate and take a break from my other perfumes (sweet, gourmand, citrusy).

Lovely scent! I've been struggling to find a floral scent that's not nauseating or cloying, and after trying this at David Jones, I knew I had to get it. Super lovely, clean, and fresh. The Lily of the valley is prominent and I don't detect neroli. The musk in here is super subtle, almost nonexistent.

I absolutely love this scent, I think it smells just like "the fine perfume,"amazing grace" but instead of paying 60 bucks for the perfume, i pay half the price, plus get lotion.. smells amazingly clean and fresh..Love, love, love, Amazing Grace is still my all time favorite though

This scent has the same DNA as the original Amazing Grace but with a forward Lily of the Valley note. I'm such a huge fan of LOTV and it works well with my skin chemistry. It is a very pretty scent that is good for everyday wear.

I absolutely loooove this perfume, it smells amazing. I always wondered what those people who smell super clean used, this is it!!! Smells lovely like you just stepped out of a shower full of floral water drops.

I love lily of the valley and this definitely throws all those little bells right at you! Some days that’s all I need. To me this is a very linear, very waxy, lily of the valley. There are moments in the dry down where I catch a plastic doll head note that’s not my favorite- but I catch the same note in Memoire D’une Odeur- so it might be a note I’m personally missing(?) It really is lovely. It reminds me so much of Gap Heaven- and it’s almost there! But... I keep trying with Philosophy’s perfumes because every scent is beautiful... but I always seem to hang that sentence in the air with a “...but...” and I end up feeling too critical. But.... Each scent I’ve bought or tested leaves me wanting something slightly different than what’s there. They’re so very clean & linear throughout the wear that I end up pining for a moment to smell the dirt of the experience- if that makes sense? They’re so clean they’re almost sterile. I want to smell lily of the valley handpicked from the ground. I want the smell of the leaves and a bit of the wet earth they came from. I don’t get that here. If I plucked each bell clean from its stem and wiped each one of every particle of dirt- placed them in a clean glass bowl- & gave them to you in a nice clean room- this is what it’d smell like- and honestly- that is beautiful... but... All that being said, I do like this! I’m sure if I layer it right it will be perfect... I love clean fresh shower scents... I’m learning that this brand may just be a little too squeaky clean for me- if that’s not the case for you and you loved Gap Heaven= yes! It’s like Heaven’s little sister!

Living Grace was marketed to me by the lovely salesgirl as "safe" fragrance. It's not hard to see why--the opening is very lively yet calming and it mellows down beautifully into a very approachable and likeable fragrance. Sadly, like its sisters in the "Grace" range, it doesn't want to be remembered. It's too safe that it lacks the oomph. This scent is a crowd-pleaser. I imagine it'll be hard to find someone who absolutely hates this perfume (not counting those who hates it because it's too safe and austere). It's so clean, pure and fresh. Almost like Pure Grace, but unlike its sister, Living Grace is much livelier and bolder. Sillage and longevity is just nice. Smell is fresh all the way with the dry-down more delectable than the opening. Overall, I really like this scent but it doesn't mark me that much. It's safe, but people do say that it's better to not be so safe that you miss the fun. Still, if I find it on discount I'd probably invest on this. It's a good scent that won't offend anyone. Rating: 7/10

Ok so I used the body wash in the same scent at a friends house, and fell in love with it. Maybe because it smells like my beloved friend? Don’t know. Don’t care either way. Bought the edp on sale and it smells just as soapy as the actual soap which I was kinda hoping it wouldn’t, but that’s on me. The dry down is incredible. The perfect musk on my skin chem. I’m a smoker and it works with that too. Camel blues to be specific. Smells like I just got back from a camping trip and finally feel clean after no ac for three nights. Is a little fruity to my nose, but that faded first along with the florals. I’m just here for the dry down, would love to smell this on a partners neck, would drive me crazy.

This was an easy summer "dumb reach" for me during Summer School two years ago. I picked up an (adorable) little 15 mL bottle from Marshalls for ~$10 or less (can't remember exactly how much I paid). Nowadays, my fresh/clean summer "dumb reaches" are more along the lines of either Sparkling White Diamonds (more budget friendly) or No. 5 L'Eau (slightly more bougie), but this was a solid purchase and I used up every drop eventually. Would I repurchase? Probably not, since I have and prefer the aforementioned scents more. But, it served its purpose, and if you're curious about it, I'd say it's worth the inexpensive blind buy.

Soapy, freshly washed wearing clean white linen. A great summer freshy. Work appropriate, light and inoffensive. Not chemically smelling or migraine inducing even on hot days. Just nice. Got a tiny bottle at Ross for 7.99 and I think it will definitely go in my purse to freshen up while I’m on the go.

I had completely forgotten that I had a sample vial of this. I found it in the back of a drawer today and tested it for the first time. It smells so clean, laundry-like, not soapy. I personally find scents like this boring, but the more time that goes by, the more I'm enjoying this one. It's pretty.

Soft and clean lily of the valley. I like this, it is a fresh out the shower scent, with almost no projection. Something clean to wear around the home or if you’re in a place of work where wearing fragrances isn’t allowed.

Love it! Clean floral. The initial spray seems synthetic smelling and too heavy. When it settles after just a few minutes, the result is a fresh, innocent perfume. Perfect for every day.

strong men's deodorant/toothpaste smell when you first spray it but dries down sweet and extremely pleasant.

Reminds me of clean laundry and detergent, but like the really nostalgic detergent from your childhood.

Has a strangely spicy opening but the dry down is fresh and clean. Very, very intimate silage.

Musky lily-of-the-valley. Very green with a slightly sweet opening. Fresh and short lasting.

This has no projection or longevity, but it is a nice scent to fall asleep to :)

Springtime in a bottle...of dry oil spray. Uplifting floral.

It's fresh but in a cheap, masculine way. I don't like it.

It’s fine .. A green LOTV and that familiar “Grace” musky base with a hefty dose of laundry detergent. This reminds me a lot of Pure Grace, which I think I prefer. Not a favorite, but like PG, it’s pleasant and clean on warm days. I have a rollerball oil, so longevity and projection are actually fairly impressive .. but YMMV with the EdT spray.

Ozonic & fresh white-floral scent that dissipates in less than one minute. A nothing burger.

Laundry detergent. If you're into that... by all means this is perfect.

Green chemical clean – is the best way I can think of to describe this fragrance. I think they were going for “green”, but it’s so sharp that it just reads as chemical to me. I can’t say I really find any floral in it all. It’s just a clean green chemical bomb for me. ....... Luckily for me, I only purchased a roller-ball on sale (blind buy - $7.99) because I wanted something to hide the stench of dog in my car before I had to pick up a friend. (buying Febreze wasn’t an option! LOL) I am very rarely a fan of any scent described as “green” – so it’s not really a wonder that I don’t like this. I have Philosophy Clean Grace and love it, but this one smells just awful to me. p.s. My review is based on using the fragrance in the car, smelling the perfume on the roller-ball and wearing it once or twice. It’s not pleasant to me no matter what I put it on.

I own a 15ml of PLG. Its very gentle and soft, and has quite a lasting power. I like it best when sprayed over my clothes, if I spray it on my skin it quickly turns too sweet and a bit cloying. This smells exactly like a lathery white french milled soap. And yes, its very similar to Amazing Grace, just less flowery and more soapy.

The least longest lasting fragrance I’ve ever owned. I can see why they had a bunch at TJ Maxx (I blind bought, and thought I was for sure safe)....it smells great though. If Pure Grace is like soap and water, this is like little guest soaps at a beach house, there’s something slightly more aquatic and less sterile than PG

Living Grace would be SUCH a nice fragrance if it weren't for that fakey fresh cucumber note... ruins it for me. On the up-side, I can smell the white musk base past 12 hours on my skin. Pro-tip: a little dab of 'Carillon pour une Ange' is much nicer, with a similar, lily-of-the-valley lyricism, unmuddied.

All I get is a strong note of lily of the valley I really thought that I would like this scent but sadly the strong note of lily of the valley is too much for me I can't,won't wear this even after a shower or to bed

Smells alot like cleaning products to me, slightly nicer on the dry down but still not crazy about it unfortunately as I often like fresher fragrances, perhaps I need more fruityness to make me happy :)

Amazing grace smells better than this. Pure grace smells better than this. This smells like bug spray so help me god. :( and of course I paid like 60 dollars for the bottle. yay.

This smells so artificial to me. I normally love white flowers, but I don't get that at all from this. It's cloying and smells of chemicals.

This smells like fresh, clean, aquatic/ozonic-scented men's deodorant. I LOVE fresh/clean fragrances, but I prefer them to be a bit lighter and not as masculine-leaning - so this wasn't my personal favorite. There's definitely a deeper, more masculine undercurrent the entire time wearing it. The dry down also had a bit of what smelled like bad breath, but I believe was an herbal/green musk - almost leaning towards a soft oud. I can imagine that some people would love this, but again wasn't for me. I would definitely suggest trying this in store or getting a sample, not blind buy safe IMO.

This was a blind buy and I am very pleasantly surprised. I rarely if ever buy anything on impulse or blindly but I had online store credit that was about to expire. I tend to reach for "transparent" fragrances, but at the same time am not a fan of "flat" smells reminescent of lemony household cleaner, straight-out-of-the-bottle Tide, nondescript shampoo, etc. Living Grace definitely falls into the clean smelling category but is not one of the generic household kinds. It has a simple but solid enough composition that while being soapy, it does carry some complexity. It smells refreshingly crisp but the musk adds just enough creamy depth to it to make it more "grown up" and interesting. It's definitely a put-together, polished kind of clean rather than lounging around just after shower kind of clean. It will draw people in, not because it's dark and mysterious and dramatic, but because anyone who smells this would want to get another whiff of the pleasant, refreshing cleanness. An oxymoron, perhaps, but I could almost call this a creamy aquatic. Overall I am extremely happy with the purchase. If you are looking for a versatile, fresh fragrance but have been disappointed in the past by the likes of CLEAN brand perfumes, give this a try. You just might like it.

I'm so proud of myself right now because this is the very first fragrance where I was able to guess all of the notes accurately just from sniffing the back of my hand. But given that there are only 3 notes, my achievnement is basically the perfume world's equivalent of being able to spell CAT correctly for the first time but still... YAY! As for the fragrance itself, I get a huge waft of MUSK with the soft fresh citrussy flavor of the neroli and the indolic white floweryness of the lily-of-the-valley just hanging out in the background. This perfume can veer off into deodorant territory real fast. I would reccomend this for going to the gym or jogging or bicycling or other sporty activities where you might break a sweat because it has that very fresh and clean feeling.

When I tested this at the store, on the paper -perfect - thought I had to have it, such a super clean clean clean smell. So I searched few days later and bought online. It turned out to be a copy of one the CLEAN perfumes - shower clean- but it is the screechiest. most chemical and artificial , potent "clean" also to the pointwhere youthink it is turning sour like deodorant trying to cover armpit BO :(((( it basically needs testing properly before buying, lesson learned, this is just an expensive bathroom laundry/deodorant

I was strolling through Belk last Sunday & sampled this just out of curiosity. When I first spritzed it on, I thought "This is identical to Amazing Grace." (I adore Amazing Grace, btw.) By the time I got home, WOW!!! This fragrance dries down into the most amazing, indescribable, powdery-clean, softly-sweet fragrance with just a suggestion of spiciness that I have ever experienced. No, it's not assertive, complicated or ground-breaking - it's just plain heavenly. Amazing.

I love the lily of the valley on this, its opening is very lovely, its like on initial sniff you are slightly swept off and standing in the middle of a Lily of the valley garden, enveloped with its beautiful scent! But, wait ten minutes, and... Duh, wheres the flower???? Such a pity, so lovely opening and so short lived! Sillage is so so either. I really wanted to like this, and I could, but with poor sillage and longevity, Its just isn't working.

Clean smelling floral musk. It smells familiar, yet I cannot pinpoint where else I've smelled it. This is the kind of white floral that is not heady (unlike perfumes with jasmine and tuberose notes.) Classy, not cloying, long-lasting (I've had it on for 4 hours and is still going strong), but does not dominate the room with its presence. This would be a perfect go-to daytime scent when you're in a hurry and don't know exactly what scent to wear.

picked this up on a whim from an ebay seller i was already buying something else from, and i'm glad i did. it does remind me a good deal of Amazing Grace, but mixed with either Baby Grace or Falling in Love (i get them mixed up in my scent memory, and i don't have either handy to re-sniff). so, yeah. if you dislike AG, you'll probably not like this either. if you've liked many of the Philosophy scents, you'll probably like this one, too.

A softer, more powdery version of Clean Shower Fresh, which used to be my signature scent 5 years ago. I can't decide whether I like this or not. I could wear this at my workplace (I'm a kindergarten teacher). It makes me feel like a soft, fluffy light blue cotton ball :D LATER: after some hours it did not remind of Shower Fresh any more, it was mainly the opening. It is actually very pleasant.

Smells like fresh clothes. Very pleasant. This is indeed a safe scent for women. Amazing grace, on the other hand, reminds me of a T-shirt for some odd reason. Both are equally amazing scents for everyday use, not for any special occasion.

I’m addicted to this stuff. It is clean, it is fresh, it is everything you want to smell like. I literally feel like I’ve just taken a shower when I use this. Great for spritzing throughout the day. I keep it in my purse.

Very soft and non-threatening. Understatedly sexy. Lasts for ages on the skin. Glorious dry down. Makes you nice-to-be-near, but you can relax because it's subtle. Gentle, yet persistent. I love it!
