Pure Grace Summer Moments

Philosophy Pure Grace Summer Moments is so, so lovely. I blind bought this after finding it at Marshalls for $20, and wow, what a good decision that was. Summer Moments is a fresh and lightly woody citrus on the opening, reminiscent of sitting on a wrap around porch drinking ice cold lemonade on a balmy summer afternoon, while the sea breeze blows in through the trees. As it dries down, it loses that citrus edge and morphs to such a creamy, gorgeous fig before it fades into the indescribable, lightly sweet skin scent. Not incredibly long lasting, but I don't really mind having to top up on this because every stage of wearing this is a treat. The fig in this is juicy. Not super green – more of a jammy NEST Indigo fig than a hyper-green Diptyque Philosykos fig. Indigo is my favorite fragrance of all time, and Summer Moments feels like Indigo's slightly beachier, more summery cousin. It does remind me of Jo Malone's Wood Sage & Sea Salt (I don't own it, but I've sampled it recently) on the opening, but dries down more creamy and fruity, and I'd say it leans a little more feminine than WS&SS because of that. Really lovely, especially for the price. If you see it at TJ Maxx or Marshalls, it's worth it to snatch it up.

I took a chance on this blind buy and am so glad I did! EDIT: This is a sea salt+fig fragrance. Not so much citrus as I first thought and wrote in my review. It's not really citrus heavy at all. SALTY FIG is what this is. Sensual and beachy! Soooo good. Unisex but not masculine smelling. If you love Philosophy Pure Grace Summer Moments, you will love Sea Moss and Salt or Black Ginger and Amaranth by St. James of London. p.s. St. James of London perfumes are excellent quality and have a great price point. Agree with another reviewer that this is different for Philosophy. I feel like they mostly do floral and sweet perfumes so this is something different from them. I don't pick up any Pure Grace DNA in Summer Moments. At all.

This was a blind buy for me, and I am happy with it. I used to wear Amazing Grace, but have never tried Pure Grace, so I can't comment as to whether or not this edition smells anything like the original. It is sweet with a clear fig note on my skin, along with a lightly spiced green note. The effect is clean and soft but in no way overwhelmingly sweet. To me, it smells almost exactly like Phlur Hanami. I am wearing Summer Moments on one arm and Hanami on the other and the Hanami is definitely stronger and slightly spicier, but it smells nearly the same. I think I prefer Hanami because it seems to last longer.

I absolutely adore this scent. It is fresh and beachy, but not coconutty or overly citrusy. Citrus is there, but together with the aromatics and the fig. It is beautiful. The longevity is there although it stays pretty close to the skin after some time, but IMHO that is what you want from a summer fragrance.

Summer Moments shows up frequently at discount stores, so even if the longevity is trash, at least I can find it for ~$15. I don't mind overspraying at that price. (By the way, it's cheap, but it doesn't SMELL cheap. Just wanted to put that out there.) It has a bit of a D&G Light Blue thing going on, but softer and sweeter all the way through the opening to the dry down. Totally believable as a LB flanker. What I really like about this is that the citrus isn't screaming at me. True to its iced lemon note, the citrus here reads like a cool, refreshing lemonade. As lovely as it is, I'm hoping to get through my 60ml bottle before summer is over, and I don't plan on repurchasing. It's a bit boring, and there are much more versatile fragrances out there. Like its name, its moment is in summer and summer alone. Also, it smells nothing like the original Pure Grace. Couldn't Philosophy have just made it its own fragrance?

The opening of this threw me off because it was quite woody, lemony, and sharp. It didn't quite trigger a headache but it was just a tinge too "cleaning product" for me and I was preparing myself to write this fragrance off...until the drydown kicked in—and that's when the magic happened. It became soft, subtle, creamy fig with a hint of salt sprinkled on top. Everyone comparing it to Jo Malone Wood Sage & Sea Salt (which I love) is correct; Pure Grace Summer Moments is very similar, but I would say it's softer, creamier, and sweeter. It makes a really nice summery, beachy scent without having any typical beachy notes (coconut, solar notes, pineapple, white florals) in it. I would call this a winner for fig lovers or for anyone who wants Wood Sage & Sea Salt but is on a budget.

This fragrance reminds me of Wood Sage & Sea Salt. It's a calmer, smoother, creamier fragrance with the fig though (only slightly citrusy because the opening fades rather quickly). Not a dupe for WS & SS by any means, but definitely in the same vein, with the sage. It unfortunately has a strong alcohol smell upon first spray. The smell quickly fades, and so does the opening, and it quickly becomes a skin scent (creamy, smooth fig and sage). I would say that in comparison, WS & SS is brighter and a better quality fragrance. Still, if you enjoy pleasant, smooth fig and/or sage fragrances, this is a very good one at a great price. Highly recommended.

Blind bought this one because I wanted to like Pure Grace but I couldn’t get past a staticky scent in the dry down... I like this one, though I probably won’t replace the bottle when it runs dry & I’ll let my 11 year old use it when she wants. And she loves it! It is really nice though. I do smell a bit of Pure Grace for maybe 5 minutes in the beginning but the dry down gives a nice warm citrusy-figgy beach day feel. Not what I was looking for in the blind buy... but still happy with the outcome.

Picked this up at a TJ max for $12. The scent reminds me of something between wood sage and sea salt from Jo Malone and pink canyon by Skylar . Longevity and projection is on par with those as well which means it does not last very long and it’s in a close bubble. However for the price this is amazing. It’s a fresh or aromatic. Unisex but I think leans more feminine than wood sage and sea salt. I love wearing this in the Florida heat. If you are able to pick up at a discount it’s worth it.

Take Jo Malone Wood Sage and Sea Salt. Remove the Sea Salt. Exchange the grapefruit for lemon. This is more summery than wood sage and sea salt, and less unisex. The fig is definitely present. I was having my husband smell some scents and immediately he identified this as smelling "like summer or the beach". It smells so good and fresh. If you are wanting a summery citrus scent and you want something sweeter and deeper than d&g light blue you may like this.

This has the most glorious drydown. The fig note remains until the end. I've never sprayed a perfume overnight in which I woke up loving it more than when I fell asleep. I don't love the woody, citrus opening but it's definitely a perfect scent to layer over a sweet lotion or scent. It will bring a beautiful balance.

I really like this. It starts out with a clean, herbal scent, with that Wood Sage and Sea Salt, spa-like vibe, but with a touch of citrus. As it dries down, it sweetens into a delicious "your skin, but better" scent. Absolutely lovely.

Fruity and citrusy. It reminded me of Nenuco baby cologne. It's herbal and clean. It smelled somewhat like desinfectant. A bit too green for me.

Smells like shampoo and I love it plus it's extremely affordable!!

Such an amazing blind buy! I got this from TJ Maxx for 16 dollars and was not disappointed. To my nose, it smells very aquatic with a touch of fruitiness. I get the smell of lemon in the initial spray, but it fades with the dry down into more of the fig notes. It's a very fresh scent in an aquatic way, not that of linen or soap. True to an EDT, it's not very strong or long lasting. However, I think this makes it a perfect fragrance to wear when you aren't feeling the best and still want to smell good without making yourself sick. I also found that wearing it on a string bracelet makes it last longer! I would highly recommend picking this up if you see it at your TJ Max!

Oddly enough I get something a bit coconutty in this one! It’s fresh, a bit salty and a bit figgy, but it has a sheer texture of coconut water to me and reminds me of a couple of coconut freshies I have (4711 Acqua Colonia Yuzu & Coconut & the newest Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Coconut Breeze). It doesn’t have the ambrette fluffiness of Wood, Sage & Sea Salt but it’s certainly in the same category! Personally I prefer CK One Gold for a fig freshie as it’s a bit sweeter and has less citrus, but this is a nice and super unisex perfume for sure!

I too, like many others, purchased this because it was a good price and I generally like Philosophy branded scents. This one, however, I'm on the fence about. I'm not a big fan of lemon as a prominent note in fragrances and I'm getting a little tired of fig notes too. It does smell green, pretty fresh but can also smell like a scented cleaning product as well. If I'm looking for this scent profile, E.A. Green Tea or Wood Sage and Sea Salt are better smelling, brighter options than this one.

In a fit of carefree joy you jumped in the ocean fully clothed: a few hours later, after a quick shower, you're in a borrowed cotton bathrobe having a tall glass of water in the garden, the warm breeze feels cool on your wet hair, your seawater soaked jeans having been left on the fence in the sun are now bone dry, warm, and slightly stiff. It's a nice scent but vanishes within minutes, nay seconds. Tested on: paper, skin Reps: half dozen times Test duration: several hours

I remember hating this one so much. It genuinely made me ill! I'm not sure what exactly about it caused that strong of a reaction, but I think the mixture of sage and fig and the green notes turned it into something grossly medicinal. Like Bactene antiseptic spray, bug repellant even. Worst Philosophy fragrance in any form I've ever smelled, coming from someone who owns 40+ of their shower gels.

Unusual for a Philosophy fragrance. Not sure what I thought it was going to be based on notes above. It smelled like waking up on a warm morning after being at the beach all day the previous day, covered with sand and spf and needing a shower. So summer moments it is then. Not my fav Philosophy but ok.

I can see why this scent is often listed as "unisex." I don't usually like such a fragrance, but I bought this sight-unseen and have not been disappointed. On first spray I definitely get a fruit/citrus vibe, but with dry down I smell the sage and green notes, and maybe the fig? There is something different that I like about this perfume, and its not as chemical/cloying as philosophy summer scents have been over the past few years. I personally don't enjoy coconut summer scents and you will find none of that here. This is just a warm, green and almost herbal vibe that I seems perfect on a warm summer night.

Honestly this is so pretty, fresh, and addicting. I love smelling like this! I adore fig fragrances and this does remind me of wood sage & sea salt but maybe a little softer. Bought it at Marshalls for about 15 bucks. Doesn't get much better than that!

Found this at tj maxx for a great price, blind bought it and I’m so glad I did! This is very nice. I love the fig and the sage! It smells fresh, beachy but not coconutty. Great for just out of the shower.

Reminds me of balenciaga B with a touch of fig. Green & somewhat creamy at the same time.

True to Philosophy, this fragrance lasts about 5 minutes.
