Vanilla Hug Mist

I got this as a gift along with Coconut Rush and I have to say what a wonderful surprise these both have been!! Vanilla Hug is a perfect winter vanilla. It's sweet, warm, peppery with a cozy woody dry down. It's strong for a body mist but doesn't have staying power like Coconut Rush does, that's the only draw back for me. Other reviewers have mentioned that this is less loved sister to Phlur's Vanilla Skin, which I have never tried so I can't compare. I'm a huge fan though and this will definitely be a part of my regular rotation. I wish I had discovered this earlier in the winter because I would have worn it all season long. I definitely want to try their pistachio mist next!

The notes listed here are incorrect; instead of orange blossom or pink pepper, this has freesia as the top note, while vanilla is the middle (according to the Philosophy website and the bottle). I LOVE this fragrance, even though I'm not usually a fan of vanilla scents. This one is so creamy and delicious and low-key sexy, but not overpowering. I find it stays on for several hours.

My coworker wears this and I noticed she smells good everytime she comes into work. I thought maybe it was her shampoo but she told me it was this! To me it’s soft almost a skin scent as I didn’t think it was super perfumey, gives me similar vibes as “me” by snif

She wants to be Vanilla Skin by Phlur so bad, but this is an Ulta, not a Sephora. I think this is a TASTY scent. I didn't buy her. It was another birthday buy. But she is cute for what she is worth. I think if you want a safe ambery vanilla, an easy harmless smell good pick me up and you can't even afford to sneeze in a Sephora, go ahead. Give her a sniff. Grab her. Take her home.

Alcohol is overpowering when you first spray. After a few minutes, it settles into a creamy, cozy, woody scent. Unfortunately, it turned sour within 20 mins of spraying on my skin. I tried scrubbing and I can still smell the sour rancidness on my hands. So I guess it has staying power. Don't blind buy this. Try it before you commit lest you smell like plastic soured cream.

A nice amber heavy vanilla. Sort of similar to vanilla skin but a little less woody and more ambery. Not necessarily worth the price but a nice easy reach.

I dunno, I hate vanilla skin but I like this so 🤷🏻♀️ and even if it is this lasts way longer than that flavored water of a mist phlur puts out.

The bottles look so similar to Phlurs mists 🤨 lol and ofc it’s basically a dupe for vanilla skin. 🙄
