Ameline Eau de Parfum

This was my favorite from the discovery set. It smells simply like a clean rose and patchouli with a bit of bergamot. I smell zero pink pepper. Its a young fresh rose, reminds me of a few scents in the Philosophy line. Very similar to the rose note in Chloé. Its fresh, and classy and reminds me of something a ballerina would wear. Has a sparkling quality from the bergamot. If you like young rose and feminine fresh scents this is a safe blind buy. I know this is a recent relaunch and after reading what people were saying about the old version being more peppery and woody I know for a fact I'd have preferred this new relaunch. Last this is a beast mode fragrance, your clothes will smell for weeks

I was pleasantly surprised by this one since I got it a few months ago on a spur buy since it was being discontinued. I’ve become a bigger fan of rose because of this scent. Rose takes a backseat to the pepper and I enjoy it as a support rather than the focal. It’s being at a dinner table that has a crystal vase filled with young plucked roses sitting next to a bowl of freshly sliced lemons covered in cracked pepper and pink salt as a light woody incense wafts in from the adjacent room. It’s not groundbreaking but very very nice for a non-heavy, yet distinctive rose scent.

I adore this perfume. It's my daily go-to. It is a bright, youthful, peppery rose and is great for all seasons. Once I figured out they are discontinuing it, I bought two more bottles. I hope I can find something similar once mine is gone. Grab it if you can!

So good! Beautiful rose anchored by earthy, spicy peppercorn and a bit of patchouli and brightened by bergamot. Gives Rose 31 a bit and Chloe Roses. Sadly to be discontinued but on the plus side it’s a great price :)

This is so pretty. The bergamot really brightens the rose and leaves a soapy, freshly washed feeling on the skin.

Personal: 6.5/10 – It’s light, fresh, and floral, but not my style (rose). I respect it more than enjoy it. Mass appeal: 9/10 – Easygoing and feminine. Very safe, very pleasant. I like this one, it might be my favorite from the discovery set as well. I didn't get any similarity to LSM at all, which is a scent I'm not a fan of. The dry down is very present even after 8 hrs of sleep. It's a nice woody, slightly rosy dry down that I liked waking up to. Upon application it's kind of a fruity rose, she's light and airy and a little sweet, but she's not a wallflower about it. Her sillage is best out of all the others. Longevity as well. I did not smell the Pre Rebrand ameline so I can't compare, but I think this is very beautiful.its my favorite rose of any I've smelled so far because it feels very modern and pretty/chic/fresh. Still this is Not a realistic rose, it's like a princess rose. Not dry, not spicy, not sharp or screechy, not earthy- the patch isn't dirty or cola-esque. I don't get a lot of the pink pepper. I can get the fuzzy peach skin feeling with soft pink rose petals For reference I did not like any of the philosophy roses, idole was too sweet for me but nice in tiny doses, chloe edp is Too Strong and soapy, but I liked roses de chloe. I might buy a travel size of this and if I still like it by then end of that I'll get a fb

I tend to like fresh citrus, white floral, and patchouli, so I assumed this perfume would be right up my alley. While I thought it was nice overall, there were some surprises along the way. Upon initial dry down, this scent is very peppery on me. Like, overwhelmingly peppery. After about an hour it died down a bit and I could smell some of the bergamot and rose, and a little bit of the sandalwood. I was disappointed to find that the patchouli notes didn't show up with my chemistry. This is a fairly unoffensive perfume, despite the pepper notes that were so prominent for me, but due to its lighter notes, it fades fairly quickly. While I won't be buying a bottle of this, I'll certainly keep the sample and add it to my signature scent, JHAG's Lady Vengeance, for a little extra spicy floral kick.

I got this with the sample pack recently and this was the first one I smelled. On spray it hits you over the head with the rose and pink pepper. The pepper doesn't last too long in the limelight as the rose begins to ride you all the way through as the center note. This smells so much like the Rose Cherrie scent for Guerlain it is insane. Obviously with less complexity, but if you are looking for a nice pleasant rose scent, this is a super safe and crowd pleasing scent. Be careful, upon initial spraying it can be SUPER strong in the rose. So if that's what you're into then go for it, but maybe put it on like an hour before leaving if you don't want it to smell super strong.

I bought the sample set from Sephora, and this is the 4th fragrance I try, and also 1 of the 2 I do adore in the whole set of 7 samples. On my skin, it's refreshing due to the citrus scent and still feminine from the rose scent. The citrus scent is gentle, and the rose scent is delicate. When it dries down, the woody scent is pleasant. Overall, this fragrance is soft but also dewy, definitely not overpowering at all.

I’m not a big floral girl... until I smelled this perfume!! It’s sweet, slightly woody, clean but not at all soapy, and juicy. The term floral doesn’t do it justice. Yes there is rose, but this is not your grandmothers rose shaped decorative soaps in her bathroom. This is a very feminine spring into summer scent, but I think could be pulled off in all seasons.

As it goes with this house; subtle to a fault. Nice rose note, but it’s absorbed in your typical, poorly blended rigamarole of nuance. There’s a balance, but it lacks harmony. I like the idea... a woody, peppery, lemon-rose...but this isn’t very well executed. That said, if you lower your standards, this is a nice, mostly unisex fragrance.

A much milder sister of TF Rose de Russie that has Á la Rose vibe. Lite & lovely.

I was able to get a travel spray of this in Phlur's last chance section for very cheap. I have to say, I really didn't like the opening here. The notes combined smelled quite a bit like oregano maybe? 20 min in however and it's a very peppery rose, a unisex sharp rose. The pepper in this is a bitter one. I do not like the combo if I smell my skin directly, but in the air it smells of a pleasantly fresh rose. Not particularly fond of the patchouli sandalwood base as it feels like the notes are fighting. I'll update this review as the perfume fully settles.

This scent is a true rose scent. It really smells like a rose that was plucked from the garden and not an artificial kind of rose smell. It’s fresh and floral, with a hint of pepper for an edge at the very end. It does dry down into a little more of a patchouli and sandalwood smell, but overall the floral reigns. It really one of the best rose scents I’ve had the pleasure of smelling because of its realism. I am not the biggest rose fan so this one is ok for me, but if you love rose notes this really is a must smell for you!

Ameline isn't bad! It's a nice rose + patchouli scent, but tbh it doesn't stack up to the other rose scents I have tried so I won't be buying it. If I want a fresh, clean, soapy rose I would rather wear Chloe EDP. If I want a deeper, sexy rose + patchouli I'll wear JHAG Mad Madame. If I want something juicy and sexy I would go with YSL Mon Paris Intensement. So although Ameline is decent it just doesn't compare and wouldn't get used. I'm satisfied with keeping my sample and using it when I feel like wearing this scent.

This perfume smells very strong of rose, and then eventually smells like bergamot after some time, but pretty much nothing else. It's pretty strong and if you spray it directly on your skin you can continue to smell it through your clothes. Personally, it's so strong it arguably smells artificial and it took me some time to get used to it, but it's not for me. I wanted to love this so badly, but to me the pink peppercorn overpowers the rose. It's unique and feminine without being too floral, but I wish it were a bit brighter and lighter. I would wear this only when layering other vibrant rose scents to make up for the peppercorn.

This is such a lovely scent...at first. I LOVE the first two hours. After that it’s just the woody notes. Nothing else... and thats not really my vibe. I do enjoy the beginning a lot, but I barely wear it because the end is just overwhelmingly sandalwood.

It’s okay if you like light rose, citrus type of scents. It’s not unique. Has a body spray type of quality. I think it is an easy wear for Spring and Summer days if you just want to pick something easy on the go. Light longevity and sillage.

A clean, peppery rose... personally it's too peppery for my tastes and it smells pretty generic to me.

A very faint woody rose scent.

First spray is a harsh lemony plastic scent with an afterthought of rose. Takes a while for the alcohol scent to disappate. Smelling it a while later, it's the same..

The only note I get is a powdery aniseed and I hate it. Maybe it is the peppercorn overpowering all the other ingredients. Very disappointing fragrance.

Eh. Not much I can say about this, nothing special. Just another sharp rose perfume. I ended up returning it.

I smelled this from the discovery set and liked it enough to buy both a full size and travel size as they were on sale from being discontinued. I even brought the sample size to work for my coworkers to smell and one of them ended up buying the full size as well. Unfortunately my sample size broke and got everywhere so I was ameline'd out for the longest time. Everytime I try to go back to it, there was just something sour and sickening to me so I thought it was just too soon. I'm cleaning up my room now since I'm in the process of moving and I've just finally thought to ask: is my full size a dud? It already smells sour on the nozzle and simply doesn't smell like the sample I enjoyed. I sprayed the travel size in comparison as well. Not as sickening as the full size but also lacking any of the lightness or freshness I remember from the sample. Sour and heavy, it reminds me of my dad's pantry full of Chinese medicinal herbs, like the rose and pepper have gone bad. I'm looking for any semblance of the sample in the spray for the full size, but the more I sniff, the more there's a synthetic note that just makes my brain seize up. I guess it's good is discontinued so no one else has to go through this.

What I get from this is fresh, musky, slightly fruity rose. It reminds me a little of MMM Lazy Sunday Morning, but this is lighter. It smells like it contains aldehydes or ambroxan (maybe it's just how the bergamot interacts with the sandalwood). When I initially smelled it, I thought it smelled peachy, but there are no peach notes. I don't get pink pepper at all, and the patchouli isn't dirty. I smell wood in the drydown, but it's not overpowering. It smells modern. Based on the notes, I didn't think I'd like this, but it's actually my favorite from the Phlur sample pack.

Although they have discontinued this sent, I was able to get a close out purchase. I had only purchased this fragrance before the company was sold. Unfortunately, since Phlur was bought out, I didn’t realize that they had also changed the scent profile slightly. The pepper is overwhelming now. Before the rose would really come through, but by the time the pepper dies down, the scent is gone. I am so sad. I miss the old Ameline.

To me, this smells reminiscent of walking through a 5 star hotel lobby. I love the pink pepper note, and it blends seamlessly with the other notes. I typically don’t gravitate towards rose scents, but this one is fresh and balanced in my opinion without being too floral. I’m disappointed that Phlur is discontinuing it!

I sprayed this on a piece of tissue paper before bed and left it on my nightstand. All night I thought I was smelling a tea note. This is very pretty, very easy to wear. It’s a shame they’re discontinuing it. It took me a while, but I really like this. Perhaps even more knowing if I don’t buy it now it will disappear.

If you like rose, I think you'll like this. I get strong pepper notes but I dig it. It's different. Just upgraded from the travel spray to full bottle. We have a few summer days left I think it's perfect. It's very pretty.

Something is weighing down the rose. I don’t detect patchouli. Maybe it’s the sandalwood or the pink pepper. Maybe I just prefer roses in the garden. I can’t put my finger on it but the look on my face says frown.

Totally forgettable. If you like citrusy rose, you’re better off going for Chloe. This is a somehow sweet, powdery rose with a vintage kick. Something that could come out in the 2000s. A pass for me.

To me the top note of this fragrance is pizza sauce. I don’t really smell rose. it’s still a pleasant enough fragrance but I definitely wouldn’t repurchase.

i certainly smell rose and patchouli. it was a bit underwhelming. it seems like a good perfume to wear out/ most places.
