Caramel Skin

The only thing I smell is caramel. I do not pick up on any of the other notes listed. There is a lactonic creaminess, but I do not pick up on a literal milk note. This is a photorealistic Werther’s Chewy Caramel. Caramel Skin is linear, simple, dense, and tooth-achingly sweet. Some reviews mention a salt note, but I did not smell one. This is a cold weather only scent for me. I recently wore this on the coldest day of the year with two feet of snow on the ground and Carmel Skin was perfect. It cut though the frigid temperature and I could smell it thought my heavy coat. Performance is excellent, this is one of the strongest body sprays I own, it wears like a perfume. 8/10 but I would not wear this even on a mildly warm day, heat made this very cloying. This lasts 8 hours and has a lovely scent trail. I thought that I would dislike this after purchasing Queen’s Caramel. But I still really enjoy this. Do you need both? No, but if you have a large collection of gourmands I think there are enough nuances to own both. Queen's Caramel has a lot going on, Caramel Skin is more simple and straight forward. For layering suggestions: Ellis Saab Girl of Now or Viva La Juicy Gold Couture. But My favorite is Phlur Heavy Cream, these two were made to be wore together and I always receive complements about how good my office smells when those two body sprays are paired together.

Caramel Skin, upon first spraying, is an absolute sticky, dense caramel with a lactonic nuance. Almost sickly sweet for even me, someone who almost exclusively likes gourmands. It’s dense, but still a bit creamy and milky. It’s so strong that I can see it souring an already negative mood. If you’re having a bad day, maybe don’t wear this, or you’ll build a bad association with it/it’ll smell way too off-putting. I personally don’t get much vanilla in this, since this is such a caramel bomb. The sandalwood isn’t extremely present, but it does give the fragrance a creamy, smooth feel. This is also fairly long lasting on me, as it lasted the entire school day + lasted me falling and hitting my head + the consequent ER visit. Do with that what you will. If you like this, you might like Fresh Cream by Philosophy! Overall, this is beautiful and entirely worth the money in my opinion, but it definitely can get sickly sweet if you're not having the perfect day/are prepared to have, well, a 'Caramel Skin' I guess.

Upon smelling this in the store, it was much stronger Omgg and had this stronger/ sour note mixed in.. but once it set it was a straight linear caramel. After buying a new bottle tho, it’s much smoother, softer and doesn’t have any weird notes. It’s really beautiful sweet true/ accurate caramel scent. It is very Lactonic and smells similar to a true condensed milk. I really love it. It’s a skin scent that creates a lovely sweet bubble. Reminds ALOT of Chabaud Lait concrete, but sweeter and warmer and much more wearable. It’s not straight cold milk like Chabaud is.. both share similar notes but this is probably what I thought Lait concentre would smell like. Anyways, really yummy.. really nice, love it

Sooo delicious!! Smells like cookie dough with warm, salty caramel sauce. It’s so pleasant, fluffy and warm and just wafts into my nose all day, pretty decent longevity for a body mist as well! Paired this with Fenty Salted Caramel lotion and it’s so yummy! Excited to keep playing around with layering combos ✨ This is a 10/10 realistic gourmand fragrance as I can really smell the brown sugar and butter in this. Also, this got me compliments all day at work! Obsessed with how the cashmere and caramel cream work together to create a warm, fluffy, buttery caramel heaven 🤎 Edit: Smells heavenly combined with the Palmers Tahitian Vanilla lotion 🤍

As a gourmand lover thats obsessed with cavity inducing sweet scents i fear this is no. 1 on my list!! smells like a nice milky caramel on initial spray, and dries down into this sweet syrup-like caramel drizzle scent. for a body mist this projects so so well and leaves a noticeable scent trail which i adore <33 may not be everyones cup of tea though esp if you hate the idea of smelling super sweet. I honestly wear this any time of the day but i wear it more heavily at night, its super great for a super chilly morning n u spray this on ur sweater/jacket :pp

I bought Caramel Skin after seeing all the hype on TikTok, and as an ultra-gourmand lover, I had to try it. It really is a photo-realistic gourmand – it literally smells like butter just about to turn into caramel. It’s not really a traditional perfume or mist with notes to me, it’s just incredibly true-to-life. I absolutely love it and will definitely wear it, though I know it will be way too much for most people. On the plus side, I’ve found that even as a mist, the lasting power is really good! I’m excited to wear it more and see how it develops on me.

I don't know how some people don't like it. It drives me absolutely insane. Sweet, sirupy, real caramel scent that sticks to my skin. Can't stop sniffing my arm HOURS after I applied it. I bought the coconut skin at the same time and although the staying power and sillage were stronger with that one, I returned it as soon as I smell this one. Delicious gourmand! I think I'll wear it for fall, winter and summer (although layered with something fruitier). Gorgeous! I'll buy the bigger size ASAP.

Oh I love this, it reminds me of making rice crispy treats, the moment when you’ve melted the butter and marshmallows together and the room is smelling divine? That part right there. Super sweet, creamy, buttery, caramel vanilla. So so edible, which I love but I just know that will be too much for some people. The dry down is a little calmer, more warm vanilla with a hint of sandalwood, reminds me a little of the dry down on Billie Eilish/nebras. Overall I’m finding this addictive.

GOD this is so good it makes my eyes roll back in ecstasy. I drown myself in this every time I pass by Sephora, and I spend the rest of the day smelling like I bathed in caramel. Besides the sweet caramel goodness, there's also a savoury note in here, almost like popcorn. I can see how this could be overwhelming for some people, so I'm waiting until the fall to buy it. Insane sillage and longevity for a body mist! A little goes a long way.

Super photorealistic and sensual milky caramel heaven!! Smells like you just walked into the most delicious boba shop everrrrr. Super strong and lasts surprisingly long for a body mist!.. like literally 9+ hours.. it basically performs like a perfume and I LOVE IT. Sooooooo rich, gooey, and mouthwatering.. that brown sugar note makes it absolutely addictive! Can’t wait to layer this with literally every perfume I own LMAO

This smells very good. I get the caramel popcorn in this one and not the SDJ 71, it has a sweet salty note that makes me love it. It's also a lactonic caramel which is exactly what I love. It is very very sweet which is my preference, but maybe too sweet for others or warmer weather. I will say, its lasting power isn't the best and it is a bit of a rich caramel, kind of like a more mature version of SDJ 71.

This on my skin turns into a nearly photo realistic brown sugar oatmeal cookie, and for me that's perfect. while the full scent only lasted for a few hours, it left my wrist smelling sweet. the mist is also very fine which i love. for some reason my asthmatic partner doesn't have issues with caramel gourmands so this is a wonderful addition to my collection!

Blind bought this and very glad I did! A super sweet, very milky caramel fragrance, to me it smells like taking an inhale into a bag of fresh, warm caramel fudge or something 🤤 it also smells like a salted caramel candle or something... but a good one! Fairly good longevity on my skin and clothes but just okay projection... good for a body spray though!

I really like this! It's straight up caramel Werthers. It's a lovely gourmand body spray that I'll wear throughout fall and winter when I want to sweeten up another scent. It has decent longevity and you can smell it when you walk by people. It smells similar to SDJ 71, but this is more sweet airy caramel while SDJ 71 is more of a burnt nutty caramel.

HOLY CARAMEL! Only get this if you are a fan of intense gourmands that hit you in the face. This is loud caramel/brown sugar, nothing more, nothing less. Even though it is a body spray you should be mindful of how much you spray.

Carmel buttered popcorn. Delicious! While I don’t know if I would want to wear this on its own because it is such a food like scent, I appreciate it. This will be great for sweetening perfumes that need a little extra something.

Okay I know exactly what it smells like now! Dulce de Leche! Yes caramel milk candy! Especially on dry down!! More than a fresh out the can condensed milk.. this is sweet, caramel and warm

Went to Sephora for basic vanilla, left with Caramel Skin. Rich caramel, salty skin, total menace. Layered with Molecule 01 it’s a sweet monster hug that wrecks diets and sticks for days.

On paper and on clothing it has a caramel popcorn scent. The dry down is sweet, slightly lactonic & addicting. My favorite Phlur body spray so far...haven't tried the Heavy Cream yet.

This is such a great value! Worth picking up and inexpensive enough for a pretty safe blind buy. Very milky and sweet...definitely smells like caramel on my skin! Love it!

Sugary Sweet, warm, creamy, smooth, rich, super yummy, luscious, dreamy, decadent, delicious, feminine, sensual, woody, powdery, musky, cozy, comforting, and very gourmand This is definitely a true gourmand and oh my is it ever so deliciously sweet! On me it opens with sweet, creamy, thick, gooey, warm golden caramel with a touch of freshness from the bright bergamot, and some warm, sensual, and cozy vanilla bean. As it dries down it becomes more warm and decadent with the rich sweetness of brown sugar intertwining throughout the luscious golden caramel and sensual vanilla. The rich and decadent sweetness is grounded in the base by a softly sweet and powdery musk, and the slightly creamy woody scent of sandalwood. This is such a decadently sweet, creamy, rich, and yummy treat! A sugary sweet straight up sticky caramel! Think Sweet, rich, buttery, and thick caramel drizzle... like the real deal! Definitely a sweet gourmand. This reminds me of SDJ 71, but without the macadamia and white chocolate. There’s just a slight resemblance to SDJ 62 because of the caramel, vanilla, and sandalwood in both it and Caramel Skin. I’m also just somewhat reminded of Jessica Simpson Fancy (caramel, vanilla, and sandalwood, but with almond, fruity notes, and florals) and Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy Gold (caramel, vanilla, and sandalwood, but with berries and white florals), but Caramel Skin has much more thick caramel and is much more of a true full gourmand scent. I think this is best suited for the cool and cold months of fall and winter. It would probably be too heavy and rich for most people during hot weather. You definitely have to like caramel and sweet gourmand scents to enjoy this one, but other than that I think it works for women in any age group. I get great performance with Caramel Skin. The longevity is very good, it lasts throughout the entire day on me. The projection is really nice, it radiates out a few feet from me. I don’t even need to use much to get this effect, so I definitely consider this to be a good value. I own and love a few other Phlur fragrances, Vanilla Skin, Heavy Cream, Beach Skin, and Coconut Skin. I also have Vanilla Smoke, but I don’t like that one. Sweet, caramel, creamy, lactonic, vanilla, powdery, woody, balsamic, luminous, feminine, sensual, seductive, flirty, charming, whimsical, dreamy, delightful, alluring, decadent, rich, tempting, addictive, inviting, cozy, comforting This is a super sweet, decadent, gooey, and buttery caramel that’s super rich and thick, swirled with creamy milk, sweet brown sugar, and sensual vanilla, on a creamy and balsamic sandalwood base. The bergamot in the opening does add a brightness to it. I’m a huge fan of Phlur fragrances, and own several of them. I have the perfumes in Afterglow (it’s nice enough) and Honey Moon (an absolute love for me!). I have most of their mists including (in order of favorites) Heavy Cream, Vanilla Nectar, Beach Skin, Vanilla Skin, Cashmere Skin, Matcha Milk, Vanilla Blackberry, Island Swim, Vanilla Smoke, Berry Cream, Caramel Skin, Coconut Skin, Paradise Nectar, Amber Haze This is reminiscent of some of the other caramel fragrances that I have in my collection like SDJ 71, Ellis Brooklyn Queen’s Caramel, and The 7 Virtues Buttercream Haze. In comparison to 71, Caramel Skin is a more straightforward thick, rich, and buttery caramel, while 71 is a more complex caramel with notes of vanilla, white chocolate, macadamia, and even somewhat of a buttered popcorn scent. I definitely prefer 71, Caramel Skin is nice enough, but it’s almost too caramel-y and dense for me. As in I think it could use other notes to play up the caramel like how 71 does. Super sweet, creamy, warm, caramel-y, delicious, rich, somewhat lactonic, cozy, comforting, decadent, and very yummy. This is super yummy! A sugary sweet straight up sticky caramel! Think rich, buttery, and thick caramel drizzle... like the real deal. Definitely a sweet gourmand. I mainly pick up on the caramel, vanilla bean, and brown sugar. I get a little bit of the creamy sandalwood and musk in the dry down, but they’re not super prominent. Before Caramel Skin the only Phlur fragrance I had was Vanilla Skin which I absolutely adore. I also bought Coconut Skin with Caramel Skin. Vanilla Skin is still my favorite, but Caramel Skin is definitely my second favorite... I’m still trying to decide how I feel about Coconut Skin. I don’t have a bunch of caramel fragrances, but I do have SDJ 71 which is slightly similar to this one as well as SDJ 62 and Jessica Simpson Fancy which I don’t think either are really very similar at all. If you’re looking for a straight up sticky sweet caramel fragrance then I highly recommend giving this one a try. I’m definitely already really enjoying it and I’m excited to wear it more as the weather cools down. If you’re not a fan of caramel and/or gourmand fragrances then you most likely won’t like this one. I get great performance with Caramel Skin, especially for a body mist. The longevity is really good, it lasts the majority of the day on me. The projection is nice too, it radiates out about an arm’s length from me.

This was the fragrance that opened the floodgates for me, and buying my second bottle was a shock to see how light it started! My 18 month old bottle is almost a dark red, and smells much smokier than my new one. It’s quite strong and would absolutely be cloying for warmer weather, but I would say this is Phlur’s best body mist release in terms of projection and longevity, I’ll still smell this when I wake up in the morning. A new bottle will smell like caramel popcorn, heavy buttery notes, and a milky base. While my old bottle has taken on notes of deep brown sugar and molasses, cinnamon, almost leaning into spiced gourmand territory.

Smells straight up like butter and caramel...as if I’m in the middle of mixing ingredients for caramel butter bars. I don’t get any bergamot, sandalwood, or musk. I can’t decide how I feel about it. I love how the sillage smells, but if my nose gets too close to the location where I sprayed, it’s genuinely nauseatingly sweet. If you don’t want something that smells like food, stay far away from this. Has moderate sillage and lasts about 6 hours on me. In terms of perfumes listed as similar— ❌ Ellis Brooklyn Vanilla Milk: smells a bit like sour cereal milk ❌ SDJ ‘71: cookie-like but missing the butteryness Caramel Skin has

there is something a little weird and smells kind of spoiled in the initial spray, it does go away but it is a little funky, i don’t know if that’s the bergamot not working with the other milky notes or what. i had my husband smell me after i sprayed it and he said “it smells like you’ve been sweating” (i’ve been inside ac all day lol) sooooo 💀😭 after the funkyness goes it smells like a basic caramel scent that i do like but probably won’t repurchase. longevity is pretty good for a body mist imo but i think the price point is a bit high. maybe i’ll like it layered with a different fragrance. overall it’s just okay 6/10

Ok... so this was very off-putting when I first sprayed it. There is something in this that smells strange to me, I can't exactly put my finger on it. After wearing this for a few days I think I've gotten used to it though, so I do enjoy this now. It's super sweet and salty caramel with an almost sharp buttery note. The lasting power is good, it stuck with me most of the day. This is a like for me, not a love. Edit: Phlur is going to make me go broke!😅 I haven't even had this mist a week and they have released another one that sounds soooo good! I can't wait to get my hands on Heavy Cream!

Caramel Skin is 100% buttery sweetness. It smells just like sugar and butter cooking down into a caramel syrup in a pan. It's exactly what I was hoping for! There's no woody, masculine undertone. Nope. Just straight up, tasty Caramel. It's a great soft scent for bedtime, or if you are in the mood to be cozy. I love to spray it on my clothes so I get whiff of it occasionally. Yum!

First whiff is my favorite - pure caramel, delicious. It develops into the notes listed and gets more lactonic with time. It’s nice and sweet. Reminds me of Vanilla Milk by Ellis Brooklyn or the scents from Chabaud. I was hoping for more caramel! As for the Sol de Janeiro comparisons - that one smells like straight up caramel popcorn and I love it! Probably prefer it to Phlur.

spicy pepper caramel, when you first smell it it reminds me of a deep and rich sweet caramel l, without smelling to much like food, later as it dries i get whiffs of spicy pepper and almost smokey woody feel that gives it a sharp and unisex feel. not overly sweet, but good caramel overall

smells VERY caramel-y, like straight up just caramel. quite strong for a body mist, and i find that personally it reacts really well with me. pretty good for it's price, though the cap of the bottle slides off very quickly, which gets annoying! no problems with the scent itself though.

Now that it's Fall I'm using the sh*t out of this one 😏🍁✨️🍂 But to be 100% honest it's nothing ground breaking. A very typical caramel fragrance with not much more going on.Still cozy tho 🫶 All I'm saying is that if the big bottle was 20$ I would be perfectly happy 🤠

This is very much a strong gourmand perfume. Strong caramel, incredibly sweet, no flower notes that I can smell. It is however long lasting for a body mist. I like it for cold rainy/snowy days. I prefer more of a sweet flowery gourmand, so this is not for me.

Straight up caramel! It’s almost a caramel popcorn like scent. I personally don’t get bergamot. It’s a sticky scent body spray I love pairing it with Dolce Gabbana Devotion Intense with that orange blossom to cut a little of that sweetness and it’s perfect!

This comes off lactonic and caramel-y on my skin. Delicious!😍 I enjoy this much better than 71, that one smells like salty popcorn rather than anything. And I don't want to smell like salty dried sweat especially in the summer heat.

Smells like super sweet buttered popcorn when sprayed in the air but on my skin it was giving sugary cereal. It’s not headache inducing but it’s a little to sweet for my tastes 7/10

If you like the idea of Sticky Dates from Lush but it's too heavy for you, this might be the scent for you. Very deep and warm though so definitely a cold weather scent.

this is nice but the buttery salty popcorn note in this was just too much for me and I had to put it back :( I would prefer something like Lush Sticky Dates

milky, creamy caramel. lighter than other caramel perfumes - it isn't cloying at all. a nice caramel for those who aren't really too into gourmands.

i'm still trying to get into this one. like heavy cream, there's something off about this. while it doesn't smell like cleaning products, this one has some sort of sharp, synthetic, almost burnt plastic note that i mostly smell on my skin but is still detectable in the air. it's a bummer because beyond that, i enjoy the brown sugar, buttery caramel, and vanilla. it reminds me of creaming butter and brown sugar to make cookies. it eventually goes away in the scent bubble as it dries down, but it's such an unpleasant opening to sit through. i'll continue to try and layer it and see if i can figure out a way to use it, but this is not something i reach for very much, even as a bedtime scent. super bummed, i know not everyone wants to smell like literal caramel but that's exactly what i wanted! i also dislike the smell of popcorn in fragrance but i would've taken that over burnt plastic in a heartbeat. oh well.
