Strawberry Letter

I have a hard time with strawberry because it always ends up smelling either artificial or like a strawberry milkshake, and while that’s lovely, I don’t necessarily want to wear it. This is a very realistic strawberry, especially when it opens up. It definitely dries down to some cross between Burberry Her and like someone else said — BR540, but with more strawberry and less amber. It reminds me of the Johnson & Johnson strawberry shampoo that my mom used on my hair as a kid, which I also used for my daughters when they were little. It’s not a shampoo-like scent, but it’s got that jammy comforting strawberry note that they put in their shampoo, not the artificial candy-like one. I don’t find it as sweet as other people are describing here. It’s almost earthy and juicy, I also find that the strawberry note stays for a good 3 hours. I’ll definitely agree that it fades, but not within minutes. However, I do realize that Phlur’s fragrances are entirely different on everyone’s skin and to everyone’s noses, so please take that into consideration. Definitely not something I’d blind buy, but has more mass appeal than I was expecting. Everyone who smells this on me asks what it is and I’ve had both my sister and my husband ask if it’s my shampoo. But again, I don’t think this is a shampoo-like scent, it just has a note in it that I believe is bringing back strawberry shampoo scent memories for them too. Very unique addition to my collection, I couldn’t decide on it at first, so I bought the travel size but I’ll be replacing it with a full bottle once I run out.

I own a lot of Fragrances and I haven’t been WOWED by a Fragrance in a very long time. I see exactly why this Fragrance is ALWAYS sold out. I purchased a Travel Size of this Fragrance when I got the notification. I’m a Travel Size Queen I learned the hard way purchasing 100ML of Fragrance suggested by Influencers. However, this Fragrance smells AMAZING. It smells like a Strawberry Fanta. It’s a Beautiful Strawberry Fragrance. Sweet; Sexy; Feminine; Cozy and Earthy. If You’ve ever been to a Strawberry patch this is what it smells like. The “Earthy Notes” in this Fragrance is what sold it for Me. I’m not a “Earthy”; “Woody” note Girl. Owning Burberry Her EDP and Burberry Her Elixir do You need this maybe not. However, in my opinion You get more Strawberry in this Fragrance without whatever that note is that makes it a turn off for some People. Then again I ain’t here to tell anyone how to spend their funds! I absolutely LOVE this Fragrance I’m definitely getting a full size bottle as I’m already seeing it as my Spring and Summer signature scent!

my absolute favorite fragrance from Phlur. i blind bought the full bottle last summer hoping for the best and ended up getting through more than half of it by the time summer was over. it's reminiscent of a strawberry shortcake doll minus the plastic, and lip smackers except more elevated. it's juicy and tart, and the florals add so much freshness! the earthiness rounds it out and sets it apart from being just another juvenile fruity fragrances. It fortunately doesn't turn medicinal the way a lot of fruit forward scents do (looking at you cherry). it's so delightful and interesting but not derivative or riding on any particular trends like some of their other more recent scents. i always get compliments on this one, even my dad asked me what i was wearing once LOL. the longevity is decent and sillage is strong so i'm not complaining! weirdly comforting scent for me i'm guessing bc it makes me feel nostalgic. DEFINITELY rebuying once i run out!

I love the berry opening; feels very much like a Hot GirlTM scent. Escada hottie energy. I have to say, my nose doesn’t pick out strawberry specifically, but I love it. Smells like something a beautiful girl at a club would have on. I thought it would be linear and stay pretty basic, but it has some unexpected complexity as it transforms on my skin. This perfume has no business having such a nice, Chanel-like drydown. I feel strongly that there is a hint of patchouli happening even though it’s not mentioned. This really isn’t a gourmand at all for me btw. I really love this scent and so does my best friend! She keeps stealing a spritz when she comes over. I recommend it.

Well I never thought I’d love a strawberry perfume after living through the 90s, but here we are! On opening, it’s all fresh, sweet berries and forest fruits. I used to work at Lush as a student and once this has dried down it reminds me of the comforter bubble bar, but with a muskier, more sophisticated twist. This is nostalgic to me and although I won’t be reaching it for it everyday, seeing as Phlur are all about conjuring memories I think they hit the brief. Every millennial girl who hung out at the Body Shop and saved their pocket money to spend at Lush will enjoy this. It’s fun, it’s fruity and the base notes are very well blended. Enjoy!

I am surprised by how much I like this one! The opening blast is fresh and pleasant, but a very young 'strawberry sweets' type punch which is not really my vibe. As it dries down though, it does bring through the fruity earthyness, and that is a lot less girly, a lot more real, and to me, really very good indeed! From the mix of reviews I definitely get that this one is polarising, and it is not for anyone looking for candy strawberry. Definitely worth a sample though, because if it works for you then you may just love it!

Smells like pulverized strawberries that have been marinating in a strawberry syrup or juice. A sweetness is there, but it’s toned down. The earthy note is very noticeable and balances the fruitiness so well. I can detect some floral notes on the dry down, which is very amber heavy. This is a sophisticated, sexy strawberry, and the longevity is amazing. This really sticks to my skin, and I can smell it all day. I get great sillage and projection too. I’m very impressed! This is quickly becoming one of my favorite perfumes.

This is just so pretty, I'm sitting here on a gloomy, rainy November day, but I smell like summertime in the garden! Sometimes I really enjoy a complex perfume with a million different notes, and sometimes I just want to smell delicious, and this does the trick. I would go so far as to say that this is my favorite strawberry perfume I've ever smelled! All the others I've tried are either too floral, or too sharp but this one is smooth and creamy. It also pairs really well with JHAG Lipstick Fever!

I was beginning to think all strawberry frags feel fake, but this take is so green and bouncy! The initial burst of berry has an intoxicating sweetness, both fresh and nostalgic. Over time, the florals and a bit of the more masculine musk comes through, but it still maintains the strawberry over it all. It lasts way longer than most from Phlur. You’ll likely smell a bit like a 2000s teen girl, but that is simply the vibe. Going to go spray this all over my clothes now, bye.

It’s the ultimate daytime scent; perfect for a sunny park stroll or a boozy brunch with the girls! 🥂 On my skin, it dries down into this delicious, jammy sweetness that isn't too heavy. Its youthful and sweet without coming across as childish. Very playful, flirty, juicy, and adds such a bright, 'strawberry girl' vibe to my collection. I can’t stop sniffing my wrist; it’s a total compliment magnet

I am testing this and I like it more than I expected to. It opens with strawberry, but then the earthy notes take over and give it depth and after that I get amber. However I must be lucky in that I keep smelling strawberry as well. It really is very pleasant. Update - after a couple of weeks of testing I can confirm that sillage and longevity on me are both excellent. I will be buying a full size when this runs out. I’m really impressed with this fragrance.

I'm obsessed with how this perfume smells. It reminds me a bit of Burberry Her Elixir. The perfume has a very modern scent. My only complaint is that you can barely smell the strawberries. The perfume is marketed as a strawberry scent yet it smells synthetic just like the Burberry fragrance I mentioned. It's a good fragrance for the colder seasons but if you're still searching for a strawberry scent, you might want to keep looking.

I really actually enjoy this. It reminds me of strawberry scented candles that my grandma had in her house. It’s super nostalgic for me. On first spray It opens up, smelling like you just opened up a jar of strawberry jam, and then fades into a more decadent musky sweet scent that’s a little waxy but I personally like that I honestly might make this part of my new signature sent. It layers well with vanilla and fresh scents.

Nice, earthy strawberry. It is a mood lifting fragrance for me. I just wish it lasted a bit longer. I like that the sweetness is subtle. Plum is barely noticable. It was a blind buy for me. I was a bit worried that it will turn out to be one of those cheap, generic BBW style scents (nothing against BBW but with higher price tag I have higher expectations), but it turned out to be more elevated, classy version of strawberry.

I really like this! It feels a bit synthetic, a bit copying, but quite a bit like a sweet and earthy strawberry scent! Most the notes hold up through the dry down. I don't usually need a touch up later in the day. It's got better performance than the skin scent I thought it would end up being. Reminds me a lot of Hanae Mori Butterfly if you like sweet, feminine, strawberry scents. An interesting pick up!

Perfect more organic cousin of Burberry Her but sans the cloying or plasticky nature. Was really pleasantly surprised by this perfume — truly a gorgeous and fresh strawberry with a dry down that smells precisely what you would want from a strawberry fragrance & that too with impressive longevity. Vaguely candy like as well. Something very perfect for a picnic.

This is an excellent alternative take on a strawberry fragrance. I do not find this to be sweet or gourmand at all. It is earthy and like a real strawberry! There are way too many gourmand strawberries out there. This was a pleasant break from those. I have layered it with Vanilla Skin or Kayali Vanilla 28 to sweeten it when I'm in the mood.

This is my favorite perfume and one of the first scents I got compliments on when I started experimenting with different scents. The strawberry is perfect and the plum and cassis notes add an earthy dimension to the strawberry that make it more interesting and sophisticated. I love strawberry and this has become my everyday go-to.

Ignore the negative reviews and experience this beauty on your skin, it’s absolutely stunning. A truly grown-up take on strawberry, far from those overly sweet yum something or milkshake-like scents. Finally 🙌🏻 Plus, the longevity is impressive. It lingers in the most beautiful way. A solid 10/10 for me.

The girls LOVE this fragrance. I get compliments every time I wear it! Unfortunately, it makes my husband sneeze so I’ve retired it for a bit lol. I love strawberry fragrances and this one is such a beautiful sweet and green strawberry scent. It almost smells like walking into LUSH!

If I could drink this I would... Soooo strawberry. Reminds me of homemade strawberry syrup. Also it lasted for a long time, and as time went on, it smelled more subtle and pleasant, showcasing more of those light florals. My only concern with this one is that it is a bit sour.

It almost smells like you mixed some notes from a man's scent with a nice strawberry note without being too masculine. I usually lean more towards unisex fragrances, but this one was a good middle :). This fragrance stayed on my clothes nicely, and I could smell it all day.

I agree that it smells like strawberry shampoo - or more specifically, like The Body Shop's strawberry shower gel. Well, lucky me, because I LOVE that shit. This is mouth-wateringly good. Phlur are really impressing me!! Might need to snag myself a bottle.

I wear this whenever I have on something red or strawberry themed! It is refreshing to have a strawberry gourmand scent that isn’t accompanied by cream and isn’t artificial. Makes me feel like a vintage, classy version of a Strawberry Shortcake doll :)

If I were an omega this is what I would smell like. very fresh, layers well on a cloyingly sweet sugar vanilla. not medicinal at all, very floral. reminds me of my college girlfriend we mutually ended things because she was more successful than me

I finally got my hands on a travel size of this perfume. I love how it’s a more powdery yet fresh strawberry scent. Perfect for spring when the weather isn’t too hot or cold. Plus this is one of the better strawberry scents I’ve tried.

I am so upset that I listened to the misleading reviews. This smells soooo good. Finally tried it today at Sephora and can't wait to get a full bottle. Better than I expected and very fruity but not over the top. Why did y'all lie??!

Not an obnoxiously loud sweet scent, it’s so pleasant to wear! Just enough for the daytime but can be worn as a fun night time scent.. I’d wear this all year around. I’m happy to add this as a consistent buy in the collection!

I really love this. More specifically, I love that it's a photorealistic, green strawberry accord that doesn't use a rhubarb note. I could see this lightening and brightening Mugler Aura quite nicely (OG or Eau Sensuelle).

a deep decadent earthy fragrance with subtle strawberry notes in the opening, dying down with more powdery, earthy and sweet notes. I adore this fragrance, its the perfect blend of fruity/sweet/earthy but not too floral.

This smells almost like strawberry jello or a strawberry daiquiri- I absolutely love it! It is fun, carefree and perfect for a warm day. I smelled it on me almost all day so very long lasting. One of my new favs!

You’re hot and you know it.. obsessed is an understatement. If my dreams came true this is what they’d smell like <3 Edit: OMG I figured it out.. this layered with Angel Nova by Mugler is HEAVEN-SENT!! Absolutely mesmeric.. like I’ve been put under a spell. If only Strawberry Letter could have the performance that Nova has on its own it would 100% be my signature scent.. honestlyyy tho.. it smells SOOOO good that I don’t really care lol. I will happily re apply throughout the day if I’m wearing it on its own. (And tbh the longevity isn’t my main concern as I still get 5+ hours.. it just doesn’t have the greatest sillage and as someone who LOVES beast mode fragrances it’s a bit of a letdown in that department.) One of the few I've come across that I’m willing to overlook its rather mediocre performance because it JUST. SMELLS. THAT. GOOD. 😍🍓 Edit 2: I’ve had a little over a week to fully get myself familiar with this now and... yeahhhhhhh she really is that bitch!! (For me). I had to wear this one a few times before it began to open up. The first time or two I wore it I really thought it was a copycat of Kayali Eden Apple, and I wasn't getting any prominent strawberry note. A generic red fruit was present if anything. Then I wore it one time and totally got the "Her" Burberry comparisons that others voted for, and I was nearly turned off altogether. I have Her and really like it but I definitely don't need to own any others that smell like it. It's nuclear on me. Yet I kept trying this one and at one point it's like my skin had a breakthrough. Now when I first apply it and its still wet I get a juicy strawberry, not entirely natural but not overly synthetic or as generic as I first thought it was. Then I finally get some development and complexity to it as an ambery round of base notes start to peek through. There's some sort of aromachemical molecule that is present in the base. I've smelled through a few of the Molecule # perfumes and now I can detect that a lot of other perfumes use those very notes in their composition. This has some iso e super or ambroxan or something to it in the base but I love those so I don't mind. I'm pleasantly surprised by this perfume and how it has begun to grow on me with time. It goes to show- along with the fact that I've tested several scents that proved the opposite- that you can't always judge a perfume on the very first try.

Okay. Lovely. I initially didn’t buy her because there was a little greenery in it when I tried it on the paper. Came back again to give her a second try on skin and wow! Really nice! Quite an artificial scent, with the initial notes definitely being strawberry and a tiny hint of mint? Very odd considering I haven’t seen other people mention it lol! Two hours in, the florals come through but the sweet and juicy strawberry scent is still there and honestly still are front and centre for me. She is also strong, lmao!! I underestimated her and over sprayed, leaving a scent trail behind me that was a lil too strong! But she is definitely giving strawberry, even a nice strawberry jelly? There is also a hint of soapiness, like the body shop strawberry shower gel type of vibe (which I personally really like!). If you are a strawberry girl (like me) then strawberry letter is a nice one to have in the collection! I’m not too sure where I will wear her yet because I am still attached to my GA Red Musk and Miutine for daily wear (both which are also lovely strawberryesque scents!) But maybe layering Strawberry letter with GA Si Passione for a date I have on Friday! I shall see :)

This fragrance is giving an old love letter you find in the attic that smells like it might have been sprayed with a fruity perfume at one point. It's a sweet papery scent. The top notes are the strawberry fruity notes you're hit with first but as they disperse really the strawberry is lost. You're left with the sweetness of the apple blossom and lily notes and the poppy is at the forefront- powdery and leaning into that papery quality. The heart/base notes again really lean into the "letter" aesthetic, the woods and tonka with the poppy really give me old paper vibes but in a nice way. Slightly musky, and the amber rounds it out and warms it up a bit. This scent turned into a skin scent on me about 2 hours in. I have a little scent bubble around me but there's not much throw here. If you're someone who likes those scents like "whispers in the library" or you like the idea of smelling like an antique bookshop that's got a fruity smelling candle burning by the register, you might enjoy this. Strawberry lovers will probably be left wanting more.

strawberry is a hard note to really nail in my opinion. it can come off too juvenile, it can get lost with other notes, or it can fade rather quickly. i think phlur did an excellent job with this. it's very nice. i find it to be a sweet but earthy strawberry, not quite photorealistic but closer than a lot of strawberry scents i have smelled. i've only ever gone into sephora to spray this on myself and walk around the mall with it, but i loved how it sat on my skin. i live in a very dry, arid environment if that counts for anything. i see other people refer to this as candy-like, and while it was sweet i just didn't get that candy-like scent personally. it wasn't artificial to my nose, i think the earthiness added to that. i need to go back to test for sillage/longevity tbh, maybe even buy a travel size. i'm giving it a like instead of a love because i feel like i need to own a bottle first to truly give it a love :]

Very very very sweet. Reminds me of the strawberry candies in the red wrappers. I find it weird that a lot of influencers were touting this as a 'realistic' strawberry scent... that's quite simply not true. If you like sweet candied strawberry you will like this. To me it's better than the new Armani Si Passione Red Musk, as this is not so musky and heavy. It's lighter and sweeter. It's nice, but personally I think I would get a stomach ache if I smelled this all day. For the strawberry lovers it's perfect though. I also love the magnetic caps on the bottles. Only thing that would make it better is if the caps were black, to match the font. Edit: This stuff is extremely long-lasting with great projection! It almost feels like it gets stronger as time goes on.

I was intrigued to try this one out, ended up purchasing mini one. Soooo, who doesn't like well done strawberry note. This sure is. Opens up with crisp zesty currant and realistic freshly picked strawberry. That lasts 5-10 minutes, then earthy notes lead to tonka and amber takeover. Too much in my opnion, but noticed this same base in Apricot Privee. I wish they could tone these two down, the drydown part , which ends up being main duration part. Strawbery comes thru but lot less after 10min. These's something cosmeticky here which I like, but again tonka and amber are overdone. This perfume has edge to it. Can be daytime, but ideally evening. Cooler weather = better wear. I get good 3-4 hours of max strength, then it's more managable, less stuffy 6+ hours.

yes, very accurate comparisons—it would be exactly in the same column as burberry her and elixir. i don’t necessarily agree with the comments saying it’s syrupy sweet. of course it’s sweet, but not syrupy. there’s something in it that bothers my nose, something i can best describe as a silver element—not that it’s metallic or anything, but it smells like the colour silver. and of course it’s synthetic; they had to mimic a strawberry scent somehow. it’s ok for what it is: trendy, young, feminine, pretty, but not unique. it smells very different on skin versus paper, and of course i personally didn’t enjoy it in colder weather.

I got a sample of this. It's a sweet, earthy strawberry scent. Not creamy like strawberry milk or ice cream. It's more on the woody side. I really like it, and hope to get a fb when Phlur restocks it. I say this on purpose because the travel spray retails for $29 and the fb at $99. Third party sellers are price gouging this perfume to ridiculous prices because it's currently sold out. I hate this common practice by the fragrance community. Strawberry Letter is not worth twice or triple the manufacturer price. It's worth waiting for the restock and expansion to other retailers like Sephora.

Light, sweet fruity scent. Not artificial to me at all. some say it smells like the strawberry shortcake dolls; I don’t get that plasticky-strawberry scent (although i did love the smell of those dolls.) the fruit notes themselves aren’t super sweet, but rather, i think it’s the cassis and the sugar notes making it blend everything together and smell delightful. The florals are gentle and sweet too, making it an “airy” kind of sweet, and not a musky sweet. However, sometimes I can smell the earth tones too much, which icks me a little. But i only smell it on the skin once it’s dried down.

Just got the miim miic 74 dupe for this and y’alllllll... it literally smells the exact same, if not even better and definitely stronger for WAYYYY less money. I got my 1.7 oz of 74 for $25 as opposed to purchasing another bottle of SL for $100.. it’s so good that I’ve actually decided to resell my bottle of SL and just stock up on this lmao. It is literally the exact same if not better for 1/4th of the price. It’s a no brainer. The dupe isn’t on here unfortunately so I’m just gonna have SL in my favorites to represent it because they’re the exact same!
