Vanilla Skin

I LOVE this (the edp is my #1 but the mist is basically the same, just the edp is a tiny bit smokier and has better staying power ) This is by FAR the longest lasting mist I own, (and I own quite a few so that's saying something) -literally edt level++ and if you layer with EOS vanilla cashmere it's even better 😍 it's so gorgeous! I held out on this for a while because I'll totally admit I thought it was hyped and basically a relabed Bare Vanilla. I was wrong. I love BV as well and it's a constant staple for me but this is so so much more complex and interesting, it's really nice layered with the og BV (or BV luxe or daydream)lotion also. Between the edp and the mist I like the edp better but the mist is so close. This has me in an absolute chokehold which rarely happens- at least 4x this week I've done the EOS, mist, edp combo and everyday it lasted at least 12 hours. I store my mists with my lotions, on a tiered shelf in a different area than my fragrances- this is the ONLY mist that sits proudly and gets the distinction of being with the fragrances in my cabinet, sitting right beside Vanilla Skin edp because like it's just too good to be with the mists, that's how special this is to me! Chriselle deserves a medal for this one

I usually hate vanilla fragrances, and said as much to a friend at work when I spritzed on the sample of the Vanilla Skin EDP. Then something awesome happened— I fell madly in love with the way this smelled so huggable all day long. I received a few compliments and knew I had to add it to my small (but growing) collection. The only thing is that I wanted to layer this scent more than I wanted to wear it alone, and I couldn’t justify the price of the EDP just for that. I tested the body mist in store and wow. My husband immediately said that’s the one from about 5 feet away, even after I had tested a handful of other Phlur scents. I couldn’t help myself in the car, I sprayed this all over and was overcome with the desire to eat myself lol! Somehow this vanilla is both photorealistic yet not cloying. It’s creamy and warm, perfect for fall and winter. Is it basic? Yes. Is it basic done extremely well? In my opinion, yes. I can see myself ripping through several bottles of this, mainly because I can’t wait to try layering it with my regular perfumes. For the price, I think it’s a step above the cheap mists from my youth.

The most balanced and enjoyable vanilla I have ever tried! It’s not artificially edible like vanilla sugar, and it’s not reminiscent of an air freshener. It’s not overly complex like some niche fragrances. It’s cozy and irresistibly sniffable. Vanilla remains dominant throughout, but in the opening it’s nuanced by a touch of sharpness from juicy apple sprinkled with cane sugar. During the dry-down, it becomes a fluffy, rounded scent (I guess, sandalwood, benzoin, and agarwood are doing their job), and it blends beautifully with the natural skin scent. Its performance on the skin is truly impressive, you can still smell it at the end of the day, as well as on clothes. I used to wear it all year round, and it’s charming in its own way in every season. I’ve received so many compliments whenever I wear it. Men have fallen in love with it and even called it a «cookie scent» in a sweet, inoffensive way. I’m almost out of my second bottle. P.S. After this mist, I tried finding an expensive signature vanilla... and nothing beats it for me 🥲

This is THE vanilla I've been searching for since the vanilla hype started some years ago. It's the vanilla that we all know from my personally favourite Haagen-Dazs' vanilla ice-cream. It's warm, it's sweet, it's inviting, and it's just gorgeous! It's not Bianco Latte's vanilla, it's not the Seven Virtues' vanilla, it's not some sickly vanilla of car fresheners, it's not the vanilla that doesn't smell like vanilla because it's gourmand (or whatever the influencers say these days), or like some 'hidden' vanilla like in Burberry Goddess or YSL Libre that you would never actually say it's vanilla at all... Vanilla Skin smells just perfect vanilla to me! The bonus is that it's mixed with something so sexy that when I smelled it for the first time in a store, I started spraying myself allover, and saying out loud to myself: 'Sweet Jesus, this is amazing!'. To my surprise, the shop assistants answered: 'Oh God, yes it is!'. But try before you buy; our noses and brain chemistry may be a lot different.

While I know they’re the same scent in different concentrations, the body mist smells just as potent as the perfume. I made the mistake of spraying it a tad more generously than the perfume, and it was almost too much. Just shy of cloying. I don’t care for fragrances that are overly sweet and gourmand, and Vanilla Skin is almost the perfect vanilla with the additional pink pepper and woody notes. I don’t personally detect the floral notes, but I’m sure they’re part of what makes this an enjoyable vanilla-forward fragrance. I’ve found it to be a great layering tool that takes the edge off perfumes that are a bit too sharp to my nose. The body mist has great longevity for me, especially on clothing. Hours on my skin and a couple of days on clothing. Especially when accidentally over-sprayed. After my 10 ml. travel size of the perfume is finished, I might stick with the body spray in the future. It’s cheaper and performs nearly as well for my purposes.

Sugary yet rich vanilla. I was so shocked at this one's performance... I first smelled this on my cousin, I originally thought it was her heavily macerated, years-old Nemat Vanilla Musk oil (the juice is so dark it's so sexy, I can smell it 6 feet away!). When I smelled this, I said out loud, "Where is she? I know she's been downstairs; I can smell her!" Imagine my surprise when, I found her upstairs in our shared bedroom, and she hadn't even been downstairs yet for the day!! I mean I knew Phlur body mists were known for their great performance, but wow this completely shocked me. I'm not sure if maybe my nose is just super strong, the circulation in my house is amazing, or it really IS that great with projection, or a combination of a couple of those possibilities, but I think just this experience alone speaks to something. Out of fear of not adding ANOTHER vanilla to my collection, I avoided smelling this, but I fear I must have her now.

this is lowkey hard to describe but my skins chemistry is very sweet, it sweetens perfume so much that a lot of people favs smell rank on me. i also have a love-hate relationship with vanilla, and i've found i generally rate 'vanilla-like' smells like this: amber>brown sugar>vanilla. this to me is gorgeoussss. its a more interesting vanilla than i have smelt from other popular recommendations. i think the pink pepper makes it more skin leaning (hence the vanilla skin name), and i kinda imagine this as a vanilla i can imagine a truly rich woman wear, it's not immature nor cloyingly sweet, it also doesn't smell like a bakery which i hate. when i first smelled this years ago i honestly didn't like it, i find that you have to try this on the skin to really smell the complexity of the scent. i think this is great for people like me who don't like stereotypical 'vanilla' scents.

I have both the perfume and the mist and I could not be happier! They almost match each other in sillage and projection, only an hour less in longevity with the mist but can be applied more often. Only takes 3 sprays just like the perfume. This is single-handedly the absolute best sweet candy vanilla you will ever find. Bottom line. ❤️🔥👍 Buy the mist on Amazon or Sephora. 🛍️ It's phenomenal and will last almost as long as the perfume strength. Not as easy to over spray and I WILL be buying another mist bottle as soon as mine hits the half full mark. Awesome awesome awesome awesome. Just effing wonderful, on its own or layered. This fragrance is fantastic. This is a complex and multifaceted vanilla that is very approachable and mass appealing. The main note to this fragrance is vanilla, but it is accompanied by a distinct smoky, almost bonfire-like quality, and some slight salt facets that makes this smell skin-like. Beautiful composition and smells far more expensive than it is. I was expecting something much more generic but this definitely stands out among the dozens of vanillas i've tried. The longevity is superb for a body mist, clocking in at about 8 hours on my skin. I love that this is safe to use on the hair as well, as this greatly increases the sillage. I wish there were an EDP of this! Reminds me of the love child of Tihota Indult and MM's By the Fireplace. A truly excellent fragrance at an accessible price point. 9.5/10 overall, outstanding perfume.

Total surprise. For the first 30-ish seconds it is devestatingly offputing to me and then it settles down into a dream come true. My favorite vanilla note has always been the expression in Gypsy Water by Byredo. Because it is soft and sweet in a crystalized sugar cube way (not cupcake way). For me Vanilla Skin captures that without the hamster cage wood chip drydown. The wood in Vanilla Skin is smoothe and warm. It makes you want to lean in for more. Edit: The more I use it, the more I pick up the smoke aspect. I have been using it gently as a room spray and enjoying that. Having the smoke on my skin is too intense and headache inducing for me. I prefer Kayali Silk Santal as a perfume these days - similar scent family, softer, more feminine, without the smokey aspect.

the best simple (in a good way) vanilla i've ever worn so far. by bf adores it. not too sweet, a bit creamy (not milky) like a nice quality vanilla bean extract. i personally don't get any smokeyness or woodyness somehow. the pepper and apple are fleeting. the vanilla is a beast and stays on my skin for a full day. multiples days for my clothes. i've sprayed this almost every single day for about a year now. post shower makes is all steamy and heavenly. all year rounder. sometimes i even use it as a room spray to blast away food smells or kitty litter lol. i did grow up in a vanilla is neutral and a clean household smell as a kid. so heavily biased. great value for the quality. after a full year of daily use, i haven't even gotten through half the bottle yet.

As some other reviews have said, it has a very smokey smell but I think that's what makes me like this one over other vanilla scents. It lasts a lot with a strong sillage. Vanilla, sandalwood, and sugar are be the only notes you'll be able to tell apart in my opinion. It kinda smells like marshmallows which I liked. For me it has insane value for its price considering its lasting power and that you could wear this everywhere, people are not really bothered with vanilla and this one has a different swetness that makes people enjoy the smell. 1 spray should be enough, spraying clothes makes them smell wonderful all day.

after trying vanilla skin out for a while this has quickly become my favourite body mist. the vanilla is just gorgeous, paired with the cashmere & the sugar...? oh this HITS! it’s sweet, sugary, smooth, cozy, rich... everything i could dream of. the pink pepper note is right in your face when you first spray it, but it just dries down perfectly. even though it’s sweet, it’s not overly sweet or cloying like other vanilla mists—the woody notes just balance it all out. i wish the apple note was more noticeable though, but honestly i can’t complain. this is a perfect vanilla body mist!

I just received the new Eau de Parfum version of this and it's fantastic. Almost smells like a less intense version of Kayali 28. It's a very straightforward vanilla, brown sugar on me and I love it. The scent is pretty linear as I didn't notice much difference between the initial spray and the dry down but it's beautiful. Soft, elegant, warm, sensual and inviting. Perfect for a simple vanilla moment or for layering other fragrances. I've been looking for a clean vanilla that's not too heavy but still cozy and this fits the bill perfect 😍

Ohhh this is niiiice. Smells like sweet brown sugar and vanilla in the best way possible. Its sweet but def not closing. I'm really loving everything I've tried from plural. The only negative is that they don't last very long. I guess you're supposed to layer with the body oils, but really that's just too much for me. If I purchase a perfume, it needs to effing perfume me! If it's not gonna last 8 hours and I gotta reapply then it shouldn't cost $100 or more. Rant over, but seriously this is just an awesome vanilla if a Lil overdone.

Blind bought this scent without knowing what to expect, it reminds me of both By the Fireplace by Maison Margiela and Eilish by Billie Eilish. There is a similar, almost minty opening to the mist, but it quickly disappears after a few minutes. I go nose blind to the scent relatively fast, so I can't say if it projects well or not. As for lasting power, I think it lasts at least 4 hours, I've been reapplying it quite a couple of times today, so I can smell it on myself. Overall, it is nice and definitely a crowd-pleaser.

I have been searching for a vanilla that isn’t gourmand, and I’m very picky about it, because many vanillas give me a headache. Here she is, and oh, what a vanilla. She is a warm, boozy vanilla custard in a non-dessert way. I can’t stop sniffing myself. I’ll be buying a big bottle ASAP. Only other thing to note is that she’s a bit alcoholic on first spray, but give her two minutes and that evaporates. I’m so excited to try layering her with 7 Virtues Strawberry Jam, Phlur Cherry Stem, and/ or Kayali Eden Sweet Peach.

I like this a lot. I’ve gone through two bottles so far. It’s a dense vanilla, peppery and seductive. Sometimes I do get tired of it, but then a few months fly by and I crave it again. I like scents like BabyCat, Eau Duelle, and Rifaqaat, which are deeper and more resinous vanillas. This plays somewhere in between a fluffy happy vanilla and an opened vanilla bean pod. It’s a safe blind buy, craveable. This is: sauntering up to your partner after a heady drink and giving them a sexy kiss on the neck.

Where to start? This is THE vanilla scent. For a body mist it has impressive longevity and for this price range it’s a no brainer. It’s not your typical “edible” vanilla. It smells more like a warm vanilla paste that lingers on your skin after you took a shower with a soft floral body wash. You need to hold your breath when you first spray it because the pink pepper note mixed with alcohol can burn your nose a bit. But after a few minutes the magic happens. Compliment magnet!

Great value, as is the perfume version, with very slight differences, overall they're both great, it's a nice, mature, gender neutral vanilla & woody scent, with a subtle complexity that comes out a bit more as it dries down, as others have said, it's not too gourmand. Sugar Baby by Boy Smells used to be my daily go to, but this is definitely gonna replace it, it feels like a more mature, less cloying upgrade. A great subtle, yet delicious up close daily driver. 9.4/10

bought this 4 months ago. when i first purchased it I lowkey regretted my purchase because it didn't meet my vanilla lover expectations. however... now it has macerated a bit, which I know because the liquid is leaking a bit into the cap :/ but it is heavenly now and I'm glad I did get it that day :) it was very pencil shaving-y at first, but it is now this beautiful, kinda woodsy vanilla, and after a little while you are just enveloped in this dreamy vanilla cloud

Omgggggggg this is heavenly.. reminds me of roasting marshmallows! The apple note peaks through deliciously on my skin too which I love. Very addicting and very sexy! Sugary vanilla, creamy smoky woods, and a touch fruity? All from a body mist that I can spray liberally without feeling bad about wasting my money?? (I’m an over sprayer at heart w/ my perfumes but have to limit myself bc they're more expensive) Yeahhhh I’m obsessed <3

i personally love this one! i love the woody & peppery vibes of this scent, but i can see why it might not be for everyone. it starts out very spicy at the beginning but it dries down to such a rich sugary vanilla (not overpowering from the sandalwood)! i think the spicy/woody notes really help balance this fragrance. i am also a sucker for anything sandalwood and i definitely get a good amount in this fragrance. absolute fav!

I love this body mist so much, it’s almost exactly what I look for in fragrances, I had Bare Vanilla by Victoria’s Secret for 3+ years and I’ve heard the comparisons to it all the while so I knew I would like Vanilla Skin before I even bought it, which was only a few months ago. To me it smells like Bare Vanilla but with extra depth and spiciness. And the lasting power is great. I’m now planning to get the perfume version.

By far the most complimented fragrance I own. I'll switch it up from time to time but without fail, when I go back to Vanilla Skin, I get a compliment that same day. It's smoky and sweet without being cloying or synthetic. On my skin it dries down to be the this burnt french vanilla marshmallowy scent with a little woodiness behind it. Like the most luxurious expensive toasted marshmallow being made over a rich fire lol

On my skin, when the pretty peppery scent developps into a sweeter vanilla, it smells almost exactly like the VS Bare vanilla in bloom, with a sublte note of sugary Apple. I really apprecied it, even tho i was expecting something more original, slightly more peppery maybe. But still a great scent when you just want to smell good without thinking to much about it in the morning.

i have a lot of perfumes in my collection, 80+ & i love niche fragrances....vanilla skin preforms better than a bunch of them. i’m shocked by the performance of this. i love it so much and it smells incredible, smokey sweet vanilla. Great for layering as well. the only con is the bottle cap is faulty and leaks a bit. i exchanged it and still had the same problem. 10/10 scent!

The pepper note is very strong when you first spray it, I sneeze everytime i spray it on but it’s worth it lol. It quickly dries down to a vanilla similar to the bare vanilla VS mist but a little bit more mature and way more long lasting. People often compliment me when I spray it on, even after hours of doing so. It’s also the perfect mist to layer with other scents imo.

My go-to crowdpleaser fragrance <3 I was just on a camping trip with some of my classmates, one of them put Vanilla Skin on, and I could identify it immediately; a single spray was enough to fill the entire van. Alas, we live in California and summer might as well already be here, which means it's already becoming too hot for her... at least she can still be worn at night

VANILLA F****** PERFECTION After shower layer body oil, body mist, And perfume. A vanilla scent that shines in conjunction with skin. When you just want vanilla, this is it, it's as unpretentious as it is incredibly delicious. A lightweight gourmond anyone will love. Simple, mature, light/moderate sweetness, with no detection of synthetic vibes or any cheap feels.

I loveee this fragrance! It's got nice projection and really good longevity for a body spray. Lasted me a solid 6 hours at least while out and about. Excellent price considering it lasts as long as much more expensive perfumes and you get a whole 8 oz. It's super similar to bare vanilla but a little sweeter and lighter. Overall one of my favorite everyday scents.

super sugary vanilla to my nose, but not in an artificial way which makes me so relieved. the pink pepper is very subtle to me, and the woodiness is also a bit subtle but it adds a really nice warmth and coziness to the sweetness. really good vanilla for the colder seasons but you can easily get away with wearing anytime of the year, especially at night.

A beautifully simple, ‘bare-bones’ vanilla—rich and gourmand without being cloying. I don’t know why but the first thing I noticed was that it has a very similar sweetness and vibe to Milk- by Commodity, which is one of my favourite perfumes of all time. This would be lovely for layering and would smell so delightful with EOS Vanilla Cashmere.

Something about this makes me go feral - I have to resist drinking the whole bottle. I wanna bathe in this stuff! It's a perfect everyday scent, and performs even better than the EDP version. I generally dislike vanilla scents because they tend to be cloying and sickly sweet, but Vanilla Skin is just perfect. My number one forever <3

I really love this vanilla. It's warm and cozy, not too sweet. The initial spray smells a bit smoky to me and caught me by surprise. However, I find it oddly comforting and pleasing. The pepper fades after a while and it dries down to a nice warm vanilla where the sweetness comes out a bit more. A beautiful scent for cooler weather!

Literally the perfect woody vanilla spray, I have only tried the body spray but I really like how its super cozy without being super warm and overpowering for summer. For a body spray it lasts moderately long, more than the standard body spray longevity. If I could only smell like one thing for the rest of my life it would be this.

this reminds me soo much of early 2000s victoria's secret body sprays but complimentary & a little more mature. i love this, its sweet, creamy, warm, and inviting. perfect layer scent. even though it's very reasonably priced i do wish it lasted longer. it truly wears like a body spray & just doesn't stay on the skin long enough

Smells very nice and comfy. Light woods and a vanilla scented lotion with the scent of freeze dried apples in the background to give it a different dimension to the sweet vanilla . It’s perfect and for the price and the fact that it’s a mist, it lasts a good 4 + hours . Love this for everyday and anywhere and good for layering

It smells just like Bare Vanilla by VS. The parfum is a bit more woody and this is a bit softer and feminine leaning. Both would go great with sweeter vanilla lotions. If you don't have the parfum, then this would go great with By The Fireplace or MixBar Vanilla Bourbon since it's in the same woody vanilla vibe.

A warm and inviting vanilla, which opens a bit smoky and develops into a soft, vanilla radiating smell. Surprised on how complex this fragrance is considering the low price point, not to mention the great performance. I definitely see this as a well-rounded signature scent for a vanilla lover.

I have had waitresses, stangers, and friends ask who is wearing that amazing perfume. Only happens to me with this one. It smells like vanilla, sweet, but spicy. It has a very pleasant peppery side to it that makes it so sharp and well rounded. I’d definitely recommend getting this one.

I have been hunting endlessly for the perfect office fragrance to wear that would make me smell heavenly without filling up a room. This is that scent for me and it enhances my natural skin chemistry to produce a musky vanilla cream aroma that is undeniably addicting

On first spray, this is a very deep and smoky vanilla scent. It’s sexy, mysterious, and slightly masculine. Vanilla skin is for the mature gourmand enjoyers. When dried down, it’s a very pleasant and simple vanilla scent that lasts quite a while, which I enjoy a lot.

this is gorgeoussss. when it's on it's really on, but I have to say that I do not like when sometimes the dry down leaves me with campfire smoke and nothing else. love the straightforward vanilla but that smokiness is a little out of control sometimes.

I really love this vanilla and I think it would smell really great on a guy. It is reminiscent of Althair by PDM. Definitely think it would be pretty cloying in the summer. I say to the men on here: give this one a try it works so well on men too.

What's not to like here? Vanilla can become really headache inducing for me, so I love how light and close to the skin this is. As always, Phlur body sprays are long lasting for what they are. Sweet, spicy, a little smokey. Perfectly cozy.

I got this for my first try of a hair and body spray and I'm a fan of gourmands, so this was my choice. I love the scent and love that I can spray it in my hair. My only suggestion is to be careful to not inhale as it is a super fine mist!

This a great body mist. I get the pink pepper at first and then it melts into a warm vanilla blanket. It dries down musky and powdery on my skin over the day. I really like layering it with Heavy Cream (which I don't love on it's own).

My favorite vanilla dominant scent. Like if I could have created a scent this has everything I love in it. It's sweet, spicy, musky, woodsy.. God it's good. There isn't really another vanilla like it in my opinion.

It's nothing special but it's great nonetheless. A warm and cozy vanilla that's not sickening. It reminds me of VS Bare Vanilla. Longevity is great! For some reason, the body spray is better than the perfume.
