St. Seraphim's Stone

Bright, spicy and warm. This is quite a nostalgic scent to me, it reminds me of my first introduction into loose leaf tea at Teavana at the mall. Particularly I want to say it tea blend that to my memory it orange peels and cinnamon, mixed with oolong tea. This reminds me of that tea in a very pleasant way. The cinnamon and myrrh is the strongest to my nose, with the oud adding some richness. I’m not sure that I could ID hyssop, as I’ve never smelled the plant. I’d want to try this again in the winter, in the dead heat of the summer this feels a bit too heavy of a smell for me. EDIT: Returning inside after planting a bunch of hyssop (it smells wonderful), getting a shower, and putting this back on. I can sort of pick out the hyssop in this, it’s a unique mint-y smell. In this composition it melds with the cinnamon which creates a sort of mulling spices accord. Really nice, a little Christmas-y but nice.

opens very green, powdery, and sharp. after some time it becomes a lighter cinnamon bark. as the cinnamon bark changes, it starts to become more herbal and aromatic. once cinnamon bark comes to an end, it drys down to be a very lip balmy hyssop, almost minty. theres a sweet and balsamic hint to the hyssop from the myrrh.

Smell like your walking in a magic forest and your deep into the woods and you stumble across a cinnamon bondfire this stuff is amazing got scent a sample and the notes where not jaw dropping but the smell is definitely worth a try references trust me bro

They're not lying about cinnamon as a note. On first spray it's like sticking your face in a bowl of the stuff! After a few minutes, you can start picking out the herbal mintiness of the hyssop. After half an hour I can make out the myrrh; perhaps a bit of the stanky woodiness from the oud rounding it off from underneath, but the main note is definitely cinnamon. Not like a candle-y fake cinnamon though, the real deal and good quality. I'm really sensitive to sweet perfumes and can find even slightly sweet scents sickly after a while, but I find this perfume really pleasant. Lasts maybe 5 hours on me. The oud is the final note as a skin scent. The juice is very yellow, it can create a faint yellowy tinge on pale skin. I haven't put it anywhere near my clothes.

I like it. its fairly linear. definitely powdery cinnamon cassia & the balmy sharpness of hyssop. makes me feel like an alchemist. or like a child playing alchemist with cosmetic tinctures. so there's a nostalgic element to it.

I'm having a hard time sorting out any notes other than the cassia which is so strong. If you don't know cassia is a very sweet cinnamon type of scent. I am enjoying others from this house in the sample set and the concept of all the plants used being biblical here but this ones a miss for me.
