Champs Délaissée

I'm not your average fragrance girl. I'm not as into the super sweet, fruity scents that everyone else seems to love. I like my perfumes to be a little more complex, a little more mysterious. And that's exactly what Champs Délaissée by Pictura Fragrans is. This perfume is named after forgotten fields in Provence, France, and it captures the essence of a bygone era. I love that it's a vintage and mostly natural perfume, made with ethically sourced materials. The scent is pretty complex and haunting, with notes that come off very strongly of almond, beeswax, jasmine, a little rose, strong hay, and definitely some civet and ambers. I know what you're thinking: "That sounds like a lot of ingredients!" But trust me, they all work together beautifully. But yes this perfume is definitely not for everyone. It's not a crowd-pleaser. But if you're looking for something unique, something different, then Champs Délaissée is worth checking out. It's a truly special perfume that will make you feel luxurious and like you're stepping back in time.

Champs Délaissée is an exquisite new perfume from Pictura Fragrans. Elegant and classic. It echoes a forgotten time when Europeans crafted perfumes from organic botanicals. The top notes are filled with spring flowers and citrus fruits, and a rainbow of colors fills the senses when first applied. When the heart notes come, they bloom in the senses like sipping orange tea in a field of flowers. This is an excellent example of a unisex scent that is ripe with fruit and blossoms, and a scent I can wear often.

This Fragrance caught me off guard. I was expecting a bright citrus opening with sweet almond. But I was very impressively met with loads of the beeswax, civet, and oud. The longevity is awesome. In the dry down (4-8 hrs) is when all of the mid notes came out best on my skin. I was met with all of the florals, civet, hay and oud notes during this time period. AMAZING fragrance. I love it.

Champs Délaissée is a beautiful mature fragrance. It’s definitely a bold musk but lays on the skin so softly and brings a nostalgic vintage-like feeling. So unique with all its varying components but working together so well to give you that experience of being in the fields of Provence!

A Sudden transformation Abandoned fields sound sad, but perfume doesn't sound like that on me. Dusty stubble lit by the sun - that's exactly the color I wanted for my hair - and I finally have it!:))) In the middle stands a row of beehives, from which comes the unmistakable scent of honey. This is occasionally complemented by a light animality - perhaps some of the more distant fields have already been fertilized and the wind brings in weak gusts a no longer unpleasant odor. Right next to them are piles of well-dried hay and the scents alternate and blend. The end of summer. And beware - an unusual transformation! These are impressions from a few days ago. Today, animal soap immediately jumped out at me, as if the housekeeper had hung up a pile of laundry freshly washed in fragrant soap - perhaps mixed with an unusual fabric softener, but delicious to my nose. As well as a new type of flacon with a wonderful stone cap.

This is my third bottle from this house after Quetzalcoatl and L’esprit Impur (both brilliant compositions). On the house itself: such an immense pleasure to find such a blend of unfettered creativity and wearability! I love the super oddball scents, so when I tested this one, I expected pretty but not necessarily that thrill of “I’ve never smelled anything like it” combined with “I need it immediately.” So unbelievably beautiful!!!!! Working my way through a (choose-your-own!!) sampler and trying to narrow down to two for immediate purchase. Art, pure and simple 😊

Judging by the name, I thought this was going to be darker and rougher, but it smells quite happy to me. The blood orange is initially prominent, rounded by some beeswax. Altogether, the effect is that of a sweet fruit. You also get a little vanillic hay and civet that is not of particularly animalic type, but I wish they were more prominent. The perfume smells very nice, but I just expected something wilder and rougher.

I find a distinct beauty in a scent portraying the rediscovery of perfume. It's composed as to emphasize the naturality, virility, and surprising mellow, musky softness of a now near-bygone era. A great statement in conjunction to a greatly strong yet soothing piece.
