Choc de Cardin Eau Tonique

Picked up an almost full bottle of this on eBay for a good price. Never smelled it before, but looking for fresh, summery leather scents and was also looking for a scent with clary sage. Well here we have it! This is a fresh, herbal scent. There is a celery note as mentioned previously. Not a problem to me though. I like the fresh green of the scent. The leather is a barely-there leather, and the overall feeling is a freshly-showered scent. To me, this is more masculine than feminine, but can certainly work for either. I think it's just about the perfect thing to spray on for days like this when what I initially applied (while in the AC) was sweet and powdery. Once I stepped out into the humid heat, that was just too much, so once I got home I swapped it out for this, and it's exactly what the day calls for! I'm certain that this will be a winner in Haiti, and am suspicious that my fiance might try to steal it for himself! Really lovely and a successful blind buy.

Very interesting stuff. Intensely herbal with citrus that is sweet rather than acidic. After a minute or two you get the distinct smell of celery, which passes almost immediately. After about 15 minutes there's lots of herbs and green, sweet-sour litchi and a subtle underpinning of leather. Bright, energizing and definitely unisex. It's also a bargain if you shop a little.
