Aqaysos

A lot of hate and snooty reviews on this one....I find it fantastic and very easy to wear....It doesn't have to stink or have animalistic qualities or notes to be considered "quite good"....I think for the price, the quality and scent, it's an easy 8 out of 10 starts for me....10 being the best....Of course, I'm not looking for something thats not easy to wear or unpleasant to others....In the Florida heat where I live, this littel gem garners compliments and doesn't offend. Thats a plus in my book...

opens with sancho berries, (being citrusy/peppery) and continues on to a cocoa bean and woody drydown. there is sweetness but not overly sweet. just the right amount imo. To my nose, there is an overlapping "rice" like scent present. For most gentleman as it has a mature feel to it. All-in-all, it starts with a fresh/sweet/spicy opening, and ends with a woodsy cocoa drydown. Not a beast by any means, but does last decently long enough. will give you a nice close bubble. Great unique scent.

In Aqaysos the perfumer tries to imagine crystal wood, smooth, capturing and reflecting light but still with wood grain texture. That chatoyant effect is created from cold spices and light cashmere woods. Aqaysos is quite intense despite being airy. Try if you like Aventus style perfumes, dry woody formulas with a fresh ozone touch.

My favorite scent. Tart and sour lime, sansho berries, spicy coriander, and a myriad of woods and musk make this the most ethereal scent. 11/10.

Such a versitile, easy to wear, pleasing scent. I ran trough the bottle in no time. Speaking of... I don't like the black bottle where one can not see how much juice is left.

Guillaume tends to like using language full of metaphors and symbolism in his native French, but it never seems to be translated properly (the company is responsible for this). This leads to many 'lost in translation' moments. Yes, the word 'fruity' is used, but I think this alludes to the Sansho berries and Cocoa beans as fruit. There is nothing 'typically' fruity in this composition. The closest 'reminds of' I can think of is Lanvin L'homme Sport, but only the aspect involving the combo of pepper (Sansho is a type of pepper), sage (in the Lanvin), and patchouli, that gives a very earthy vibe to both perfumes. There is nothing sweet here. In fact, I could interpret this as a freshie of sorts. So, pepper, patch and woody notes. I also get citrus notes at the beginning. I really like this as a composition. My only criticism is performance: it does this thing where first 15 minutes are strong, but suddenly drops to a skin scent. I never like this; I don't like the sense of false expectations.

Nothing impressive here, this is a very likeable, fruity, woody scent for summer but very weak on my skin. This start with a blast of fruits, spices and some woody undertones. It reminds me of Jo Malone's Oud & Bergamot wich i like a bit more and i think is reduntant to have them both. The performance is terrible on my skin, it lasts for less than 1,5 hour and it's projection is weak too. I tested this in cool weather and maybe it performs a bit better on summer. Jo Malone actually performs better but it's rather weak too. It's very easy to wear everywhere, anytime, very likeable and it can be a signature scent for someone who wants something very light and discreet. Overall, this is a hard pass for me. I like it but this is to me more llike a designer "easy to like scent" than niche. I can't justify that money for something not that interesting with terrible performance. If you want something with the same vibe go for JM Oud & Bergamot rich extrait, it's quite similar and has acceptable performance.

A bitter and sour bleachy note sits on top of sporty clean musks. This one doesn’t click for me. 6.0/10

The only perfume in PGs vast catalogue which has something skanky underneath. Having said that, it doesn't intrigue me that much. It also has a lot of "fresh" toilet product notes up top which do nothing for me.

I like this a lot. It is a more playful version of the outstanding Iridium by Tom Daxton which itself is a more wearable version of Frederick Malle's French Lover. This is despite the fact that there is no iris here. It is a simple superb rendition of berry cocoa and woods with the woods running confidently and ever present under the bubbly berry fizz tamed by the cocoa. Quite brilliant really. Runs masculine on me thank god although I note others say otherwise. And it lasts for hours. This is FBW and I would have already been a happy owner were it not for just having bought Roja Danger Cologne and Miller Harris Fumee Intense plus I have Iridium Edp and Extrait..... however.... summer is here at last in London......

is an essence of great breadth, elegant wood, well-balanced and well-balanced spices, the sweet fruit is well present and I dare add even undeclared herbs, discreet and elegant ... aldehyde remarkable, composition of considerable depth well told development and longevity remarkable rating 9/10

Such great substitute for Aventus even if has no similarities.People that like Aventus will definaetly like this one.Very fruity,spicey at begining,easy to wear,easy to like.

If you liké black xs by Paco Rabanne , you'll liké this one . Grown UP version of PR, l'ESS sweet and more sophisticated. Very nice !!!
